  1. I love this stylish lunch tote. Everyone thinks it's my purse which it could be. Very roomy and machine washable which I love!

  2. This lunch sack holds a large amount. I need this since I pack both lunch and breakfast (and snacks). I love the idea that it can go in the washer (however, I haven't washed it yet). Lunch sack and boxes can get really dirty. There isn't plastic to crack and break. Perfect invention!

  3. Love the bag. *Just* tall enough to fit a 16oz camelbak in the center, so makes it tricky to pack the other lunch items around it. But it works!

  4. I have dropped this bag, st on it, smushed it into a duffle bag, spilled many liquids in it, and run it through the wash/dry cycles. I love it! It expands to hold odd shaped tupperware, it keeps cold food cool and hot food warm. It's cute and durable and lightweight! I love it!!!!!!

  5. Bought this for my girlfriend in college. She loves it and I love it too! The bag is really handy, she fitted a salad, pizza slice, water bottle, pita bread and humus (I imagine that was in a container). Definitely a great gift!

5 comments about IOGEAR USB to Serial/PDA Converter Cable (GUC232A).
  1. After some research it appeared the serial to usb adapters were not all equal. They vary in how much of the serial signalling protocol they support. I bought the IOGear converter to hook up my laptop to a Cisco 678 DSL router. It worked great. No problems.

  2. Works great with Sky Caddie. Just plugged it into my DELL Vostro and it worked right off the bat. Drivers autmatically install.

  3. We bought this to replace one that we had to give to my brother. It is overpriced but works fine

  4. This adapter is is the US version of the ATEN adapter, UC232A. Same adapter just a different label. I have used this adapter to connect to modems on Windows, 2000, XP, and Vista computers. It is the only VISTA compatible adapter that actually works on VISTA (that I have tested). Unfortunately the VISTA driver does not come on the CD. You will need to download the driver from IO Gear's website.

The adapter also has OS X drivers but it DOES NOT function on OS X with modems. It will not work. Best to use the Keyspan running OS X.

  5. I bought this device in hopes that it would emulate as a serial port and work with Cisco Rollover Cables. It works! I can hyperterminal as COM8 or COM9 and make changes on various Cisco switches. Used it all day at work and did not have a problem.

I don't believe in using the CD media provided. I downloaded from the website and did not have one problem installing drivers.

I have also read that it works for OS X to do Cisco work. So happy it works. I wish laptops still had Serial Ports installed on them.

4 comments about PSP Component Av Cable.
  1. This cable costs half of Sony-made one and is good as it. The cable is lengthy enough to enable play game sitting on the chair. 4 stars, because I still don't know about its durability.

  2. In order to play games from a psp slim on your tv you will need a set of component cables like these. Of course your tv must also accept progressive scan, usually meaning you will need an HD tv.

The cables feel like quality, and all connectors are securely attached to the cable end. The cable itself is 12 feet long and about half a centimeter in width (~ 3/16").

As far as operation goes, everything seems fine. Except, there seems to be a slight double image. I am unable to determine whether this is caused by the cable, tv, or psp. But, this double imagine is so slight it basically doesn't matter.

Assuming you output progressive video through these cables, there should be basically no lag. At least, if there is lag, I have been unable to notice.
(In interlaced mode there is lag.)

As far as I can tell, even if you have a video encoded at 720x480 on the psp it will still be outputted to the tv as 480p.

Cables work like expected, and are priced right. I can't think of any reason not to buy these cables.

  3. I am not to happy with this product, it did not say that it wasn't compatible with the PSP 1001 model and it was a waste of my time and money, and i am also disappointed that amazon does not sell any that do, but thats not a big deal.

  4. It's all in the title.

I bought it instead of the official Sony cable because it's longer and cheaper. I'm happy it works fine.

  1. Decent item, but the description says the charger works and has been tested with the iPhone 3G.

What it doesn't say is that it the charger only works with the iPhone 3G in AIRPLANE MODE. Which means you won't get any calls while driving and listening to the device connected in this manner (sort of defeats the purpose of having a phone on the road).

Otherwise, you can skip connecting the charging piece and only connect the sound/headphone output to the FM transmitter -- it works fine.

(I don't need to have the charging feature, as I have another outlet and charger that charges the iPhone 3G while it is connected to this unit via headphone out.)

But, if you want a device that transmits music AND charges your iPhone 3G WITHOUT putting it into Airplane mode, this unit is not for you.

5 comments about Terk FM-50 Indoor/Outdoor Dual-Drive Amplified FM Antenna (Terk FM50).
  1. The first unit I received worked exactly the same with the internal high-gain amplifier turned on or off. Checked the connections, power supply, etc. but it appeared that the amplifier just wasn't working. I returned the unit to the vendor and received a new unit. This one showed a noticeable improvement in reception of weaker stations when the amplifier was switched on. One odd thing about the antenna was that it appeared to work much better (at least with my receiver) when using the supplied coax-to-twin-lead adapter instead of connecting directly to the coax.

After some time (> 1 year), I installed a new receiver and connected the antenna to it. I setup the radio station presets and then noticed I'd forgotten to connect the antenna amplifier power supply. When I plugged it in and turned on the amplifier, no difference at all. After testing and checking the connections, still no difference. The antenna does work but does NOT add any active amplification of weak signals so, essentially, it is now a $70 dipole antenna (which can be built or bought for under $10).

  2. I live 65miles from the nearest Public Radio station in Jacksonville, FL. Reception was always terrible until I installed the FM-50 on the outside of my garage. Wonderful results...no more hiss and fading, just a solid strong signal. (I have to admit I was reluctant to buy, because I thought it was a expensive amplified dipole antenna). It's worth the price and I can only think the people that have had bad reviews we're doing something wrong or we're simple in a bad reception area. I was doubtful but, now I'm a believer.

  3. I live in an area that doesn't get very good reception. I have gone through many different antenna's. Always getting up & trying to adjust the antenna was a pain. Now I just turn on the receiver & listen to my music. And what a great price & great seller too. Glad I bought it!

  4. Before you buy an antenna like this try splitting your VHF antenna signal and running that to the receiver. After a year of OK performance, I tried just that and had improved recpetion with more stations. I mounted this antenna high in my homes catherdral ceiling and I tired several horizontal angles with poor results. I was not happy.

  5. Well I was hoping for the best when I ordered this antenna, I have been fighting with reception for some time now using a dipole antenna and finally broke down and bought this one from Terk, it was only one station that is about 25 air miles away, but my favorite to listen to. When I first plugged it in I had nothing better then what the dipole was picking up, then I started moving it around to different locations and finally found a spot the reception is tolerable, actually the best spot was right in the middle of the floor in my office standing vertical, go figure. Anyway, I do still have a bit of static and have to run the FM receiver in Mono mode and the location of the antenna is not in the spot I wanted to put it which was isolated from view.

  1. My son, who is blind, ownes several pairs of headphones and thinks these are great!!

  2. I feel that I have the obligation to write a review for the 212Pros, by the way this is my fist and only review for something I bought on-line.
    Pos:
Sounds fantastic but....you have to have a powerful source like a home stereo or a computer with a good audio card to really enjoy the deep bass frequencies that these headset can pump.
I also tried it with my Creative Zem M using EQ in a V mode and turning the extra bass off but...mp3s portables can not match and pump the needed force to enjoy the really deep freq. computers or home systems.
I almost made a mistake to buy the Bose OE for around $180, but for 1/3 of the price with the 212Pros I have better sound and most important DEEEEP BASSSS that other heaphones lack off. You need to adjust up the highs on your EQ to compensate the headbanggers subs in your ears.
Cons: after 30 minutes I have change position on my headphones because of the compression they make to seal the sound.
Total over all I am very happy and I hope they don't go discountinue soon, I have to save some money now to buy a spare pair.

  3. I bought these for my boyfriend, and they're wonderful. He did a lot of research on which he wanted, and these headphones have definitely lived up to his expectations. Occasionally there's a slight buzzing in the earpieces, but nothing that can't be easily ignored. They sound great. His only complaint is that the cord is a little on the longer side, which is probably because it's made for DJ use. But overall, these are awesome!

  4. The plug has a short in it causing only one speaker to function. They didn't last long, a year maybe with light use. I bought some earbud sennheisers about the same time and the same things happened. I can't honestly think the way I used them was abusive or otherwise my fault. I used the two headphones on separate devices exclusively. I think Sennheiser just has bad plugs.

  5. A little bassy, but overall pretty excellent. Over-ear part takes some getting used to, a bit hard to use while wearing glasses too.

5 comments about Altec Lansing T515 Portable Speaker for Stereo Bluetooth Phone.
  1. These were on my wish list from the time they were available for $150. But then I was surprised to see them for $30.

You can do a whole lot of things with these! A geeks dream come true!

    About the Speakers:

    Highs: B
    Mids: B
    Bass: B

I bought these speakers so that I could keep them in my bathroom and stream bluetooth audio from my laptop or my Windows Mobile 5 hp iPAQ rw6828.

They work like a dream, no problems at all. They support 4 basic profiles:
    Audio Sink
    Handsfree Telephony
    Headset
    Remote Control

    They come with connections galore:
The speaker has a line in and a dock for the bluetooth handsfree.
The bluetooth handsfree has a built in mic & a 3.5mm audio out... which is the best part as I can connect any speaker system or earphone to it!!!

The bluetooth handsfree can be charged while on the dock, by the AC adapter or a separate USB adapter which is included!!! It also has remote control ... i.e. you can adjust the volume, change tracks, play/pause remotely e.g. Im in my bathroom and my laptop's in my living room ... I can control the media player with these basic controls remotely via bluetooth!!!

If you get a phone call, it pauses the player and you can recieve the phone call using the handsfree, and it also has other controls like call mute, etc.

The sound quality and loudness is more than enough for my bathroom. You need to tweak the equalizer settings to get the right amount of bass and perfect levels of mids and highs. For speakers of their size (which run on batteries too!!!) the 3D quality and fidelity is good enough.

And yeah ... they come with decent quality stereo earphones too! ... I'm amazed how Altec is giving away so much for $30 and at some places for as low as $18!!!

  2. This unit is very sleek, very straightforward, and it works! I wanted a bluetooth stereo headset for my cell phone, and I am happy I chose this. I like that it's not a bulky headset that looks obvious; rather I can use any little earbuds I like (comes with a pair) and just plug them in to the receiver unit. You need to clip the unit on to a pocket or whatever but it's very light. It's the same as having a little iPod shuffle clipped somewhere. I find the range just fine, seems to be around four to six metres so if your phone is in your pocket or purse or on your desk, it works beautifully. The bonus in this for me was the external speaker - I really only wanted the bluetooth earphones but I'm using the external speaker a lot! The sound quality is good. It's not full sized sound, but I wasn't expecting that. It sounds very nice and it is incredibly portable. I would not want to have paid the $120 it sold for originally in Canada, but with the deal I got on Amazon I am completely thrilled with it!

  3. I was looking for both a desktop speaker and headset (for working out and general entertainment) for my Blackjack II music. After hours of headset comparisons I decided on one and then went on to find a desktop speaker and stumbled upon this Altec Lansing desktop/travel speaker with a detachable headset. There is a little door in between the speakers which holds a small unit into which you plug wired, very comfortable earphones (and I have small ears). The pairing is very easy and the sound is pretty impressive especially considering the size of the shiny black speaker unit. Right now I am listening to XM radio through the headphones and it sounds amazing. I am extremely impressed and I am very critical. By the way I did not order the other headset cause this does it all!!! Oh and it comes with this nice case which holds the speaker and earphones. The price on the box was $99. . .I got it for $34 plus shipping but it would have definately been worth the $99 as well!! :)

  4. At the current price level (I paid around $32), these are a fantastic bargain. Now, they're not by any means high end audio, but if you want them to convert your bluetooth-enabled phone into a portable mini-stereo, this is the perfect product for that. As a bonus, the little bluetooth receiver clips to your collar so that you can use the included stereo headphones. You can navigate back/forward and pause/play from the receiver or from the phone, and it does even work as a speaker phone (though it's not the best speaker phone by any means). I bought this mainly to have speakers to play music for my phone at the beach, and they are just perfect for that, just enough sound to enjoy without bugging anyone around you. The fact that I can also listen music around the house without being tethered to the device (phone or bluetooth-enabled computer) playing it is also very awesome.

The one thing to remember is if the speakers sound distorted, you have to turn them all the way down, then back up again. The speakers can be plugged in or run on 4 AAA batteries, and the same plug works for the speakers and to charge the receiver/medallion thingy. They can also be powered/charged by the included USB cable.

Highly recommended for extremely portable, lightweight, bluetooth stereo. They even include a nice rubbery carrying case to protect the speakers, though it would be nice if it had room for batteries and such.

All in all a very cool device for the money, I'm considering buying for other family members while these are still available at this great price.

  5. Got these speakers to connect via bluetooth to my phone so I could play music in my hotel room when I travel. Works great. Plenty loud for a hotel room or when traveling. No amazing bass, but it gets the job done. Never used it for making phone calls or anything other than playing music so I can't comment on any of that.
It's great that they can be battery powered too.

  1. I purchased this case with my flip mino, when they had a deal that you get if for the cost of shipping when you buy the camera. The way they pitched the two together made it seem to me as if the mino didn't come with a case it's self, which it does, a nice micro fiber/ black felt one that is more than sufficient, unless you were going to take this mountain climbing or *insert X-treme sport*.

It's to bulky to be practical which is the great part about the product I bought. Pop it in your pocket and out the door, this removes the slide it in your pocket and go bit, but on the other hand you could clip it to your utility belt and then it would be safe when you jumping around buildings with Batman.

Bottom line, not worth it... even when they are giving it to you for free.

  2. I like the clip on this case that allows you to hang on your belt loop. Soft, and protective cover that works wll for the Mino Flip
