  1. This is a great buy for a Hi-Speed 2.0 USB Y-Cable. I can say no more. BUY if you need it! I brought a mini B female to Male A gender changer connector for it as well.. and it works wonders.

  2. It does what it says, but it is absurdly bulky as USB cables go. The cable itself is thicker than most USB cables, and there is a large plastic lump - not shown in the picture - at the point where the two arms of the "Y" join.

I bought this for use with a portable USB drive when traveling, so size matters. It manages to use more bag space than the USB drive itself.

5 comments about Cables To Go 40697 6x2 Component Video Matrix Selector Switch.
  1. the price was reasonable, but my first one broke within the last week. The audio port didn't work right. My replacement seems to be holding up ok, but sometime, i see halo lines on the screen. I'm not convinced it that the quality will withstand time, but i'm trying to stay in good spirits since the only other one i can seem to find costs over $400.

  2. I read several reviews about different component switches, and this product seemed to be the best-reviewed.

Apparently with good reason. I pulled the ole' 55" CRT RPTV out from the corner, hooked up the two component inputs to the switch, pushed it back into the corner. I hooked up the DVD player, the Wii, the HD TiVo, the MythTV. Absolutely no degradation of the signal at 480p (dvd and Wii) or 1080i (HD TiVo and MythTV).

I haven't tested it at 1080P or 720P obviously, since my CRT TV won't handle 720P. I can say that, if anything, the other devices may actually look clearer, and I can run the TiVo and the MythTV normally, and only switch if I want to play TiVo or a DVD.

I do wish it would automatically switch to a new input when a new signal is introduced (i.e. the Wii or DVD player are turned on) but the included remote does OK, and I have programmed my URC 10820 to handle my main inputs anyway.

I also wish it could be set up to be always-on. Turning it on after a power-outage seems unnecessary.

Highly recommended by a 36 yr-old electronics engineer.

  3. I recently purchased an Xbox 360 and realized I was out of component video inputs on my receiver.

Purchased this switch and I'm running my DVD, PS2 and Xbox 360 through it to a 55" Mitsubishi television and all sources look just as clear as they did without the switch in place. Same for the audio - except in my case it's better because I'm now able to use the optical connection on my PS2 and Xbox.

I'm also using a Harmony 880 to control everything and this switch works flawlessly with that product as well.

I saw some of the other reviewers complaints but figured that it's Amazon and they would take it back if it didn't work, but I won't be sending this back anytime soon.

If you're on the fence, go for it, you won't be sorry.

  4. Bought this to replace the Psyclone switch previously purchased from Best Buy and taken out by lightening. Read the reviews to determine which unit to purchase. Much better. No bleed-through when cable component is on and playing X-Box for example.

  5. Item arrived on time and is in perfect working condition. Does exactly what its supposed to do. I have 2 xbox 360s, a PS3, and an xbox 1 all connected to the unit with 1 output going straight to the Receiver. The PS3 is hooked up with HDMI straight to the t.v. but the sound goes straight into the 6x2 matrix. The remote is very small but works nicely and is simple. I did not notice any quality loss or compression issues that usually occur with cheaper matrix selectors.

5 comments about Travel/ Wall Charger w/ IC Chip for Apple iPod 3G / 4G / Video / iPod Mini / iPod Nano , White 1st Gen (NOT for iPhone 3G).
  1. This works just as well as the overpriced Apple iPod charger. Definitely worth the $5 I spent on it and shipping!

  2. Regarding this iPod wall charger...
--- I wondered why the same product kept coming up with different prices. Maybe because they want to hide poor reviews and keep starting fresh? The first time I plugged it into my iPod, for a few minutes the backlight of the iPod turned on, but not the text. Then the light went off and I was not able to get the iPod to respond again for two hours. It was dead. I made sure the lock switch was off, I tried to reset, I plugged it in using the Apple brand charger that has been working fine...but nothing worked. It was gone.
--- Perhaps it was a coincidence that, despite the iPod working fine for two years (including a couple of hours on a flight just yesterday), the first time I plugged it in to charge with this product, it died. However, it also seems possible that this product provided the wrong electrical supply to the iPod and fried it, at least temporarily. I don't feel like trying it on other iPods to test this theory, though.
--- I thought I was getting a good deal by buying this for 1 cent and paying $4.99 shipping and handling. Now I realize the ploy - there is no reason to return it for a $0.01 refund, and shipping is not refunded.
--- I urge people to avoid this product.

  3. I got this charger today, and plugged my ipod (which was working just fine) into this. the screen went black and now it doesn't work at all

  4. The description said it worked on the mini/nano ipods...the one I received didn't charge mine at all!! This is a deceptive and bad product. To say I was completely unsatified is an understatement.

  5. Cord is very short but good value.
The plug won't retract but what do you exact for $7.

5 comments about Monster Wireless Fm Transmitter.
  1. I've had this item for about a week now. The product is very easy to use. Opened up the package, plugged it in, set to the right stations, and pressed play on my mp3 player. The reception is pretty good with minimal static. I also live south of Boston. When going under tunnels that's probably the most static I get in my area. My biggest complaint about this product is the low volume level it produces. It is about half the volume you would get from a regular station, so I have to turn my car volume setting fairly high to hear the song lyrics clearly. I've also noticed that the vocals in all the songs sound a bit lower than usual compared to the instruments. It could just be for me, but I get the same problem with an ipod shuffle and a sony mp3 walkman. So overall I think the price is decent for a Monster brand product, and it does what it's supposed to. I would've given 5 stars if not for the volume problem I'm experiencing.

Pros: Ease of use, illuminated frequency switch
Cons: Low volume output, possible decrease in song quality, have to remember to shut off your mp3 player to prevent battery loss.

  2. This is functional. Not the best sound quality. There are quite a few stations to choose from, but they are all in the 88-90 range. We live in a medium-sized city, but do have to change the station occasionally when driving around. It's definitely a good deal for the money. It think the tape adapters probably give a little better sound quality, but our car does not have a tape player. I could see how the more expensive transmitter's that allow you to choose the radio station you want might work better (less static). This is fine for the money though. We've found you get a little less static if you turn up the MP3 volume as much as possible and turn down the car stereo volume.

  3. I figured an FM transmitter like this located inside the vehicle would be able to transmit a strong signal to the antenna. Antenna is located in the back window of my 02 Accord. Perhaps there are products that can do the job well. Perhaps it's the fact I'm trying to play music from my cell phone (Motorola V3m) although the device sounds really quite good using earbud headphones... Perhaps its because radio stations in my area have some stong transmitters at the low end of the FM spectrum. Maybe my stock AM/FM/CD player in the Honda is a poor receiver. I don't find this product working that well for me. Price was reasonable. Easy to use. Operability in my application is poor.

  4. I bought this product when the last one I had failed. It wasn't the same model or anything so don't worry about that. This one so far has served me way better than the last contraption i used. it is long enough for me to actually hold it and see it while I'm in the car. The only complaint I have is that there is some static that seems to creep its way into every channel I turned it to. But for the convience factor alone I love it. for the price it WELL worth it.

  5. This is a great product. I got it at a very reasonable price and have had no problems with it whatsoever.

  1. I have dropped this bag, st on it, smushed it into a duffle bag, spilled many liquids in it, and run it through the wash/dry cycles. I love it! It expands to hold odd shaped tupperware, it keeps cold food cool and hot food warm. It's cute and durable and lightweight! I love it!!!!!!

  2. Bought this for my girlfriend in college. She loves it and I love it too! The bag is really handy, she fitted a salad, pizza slice, water bottle, pita bread and humus (I imagine that was in a container). Definitely a great gift!

  3. My middle school-er was " too cool " for a lunch box again this year so we looked for a smaller version of a Built NY tote that we have already and we are thrilled with this product!! lightweight, fits into crowded messenger bag, holds small 2"X4" ice packs easily with no mess, holds lunch plus snack/fruit/yogurt/small water bottle, cool color choices and folds easily when empty! Easy to clean!

  4. This lunch bag is so good looking that it has received more compliments than I can convey in this small space! It is also big enough to hold tupperware full of leftovers, but manages not to look gigantic when I only have a sandwich and an apple. The fabric goes in the wash and comes out looking good as new. I am really thrilled with the quality of construction. I would highly recommend this bag.

  5. This bag is great. I have gotten a lot of comments on they way it looks too and questions about where to buy one. What I love the most is that it is machine washable and out of the dryer it looks brand new....no fading, pills, etc at this point. It's very durable and just looks good.

  1. A simple product that does just whats necessary, it connected to my computer and printer and transfers data perfectly. Its quick and needs nothing special.

  2. They are USB cables and they are 10ft long and they work properly for my printer. What more do you want. This isn't a sexy product. They do what they are supposed to do just fine.

  3. First cable sent didn't work at all. The computer wouldn't connect to the printer. Replacement one has frequent connection drops, disturbing printing and is more or less unusable.

  4. These have worked just fine connecting printers to PC's. Cheapest price anywhere when I bought them from Cables to Go via Amazon.

The pictured used to promote the product (and even the one in the e-mail from Amazon) was incorrect, therefore I either ordered or they sent me the wrong tool for the job.

The item you see to the right was the one promoted and the one I wanted. I got one with two flat connectors instead. It was totally wrong! Be careful when ordering from picture representations from this company.

  1. I purchased this for my girlfriend as her first mp3 player and she found it easy to use and has enjoyed it.

  2. Item was as represented and on time. I expected slits in back so I could put it on my arm band, but they were not there. Not misrepresented, I just assumed which is to blunder.

  3. Is a simple design, it fit perfect in my player, easy to install and trully protect the case. The only think I will add is a small piece of clear plastic to protect the screen from scratches.

  4. I was pleased with the MP3 Player that I received. Also the shipment was sent in a timely matter

  5. I really like this case, it keeps my player from sliding around on surfaces and cushions it from minor bumps.

  1. I have a monitor with multiple inputs so I only needed to switch my mouse/keyboard combo. This is a great inexpensive way to share 2 computers. Highly recommened.

  2. I bought this switch because I share one printer with my desk top computer and my lap top computer. There was a little mix-up in getting it here, but Amazon quickly re-ordered for me and the switch arrived on time. The switch works great. I have not had the delays that others have written about. One push of the button and the printer is switched to the other computer. If one computer is shut down, the switch automaticly changes to the printer that is running, that is nice. This is a nice product and I would recommend it to others. A big thanks to the people at Amazon for quickly getting back to me and for taking care of issues created by the US mail. UPS was much more dependable and they keep better records of shipments.

  3. Simple and uncomplicated. It is easy to install and use. Great to share a USB device between two computers, or two devices on one computer.

  4. Fantastic plug and use works great PC and Apple to HP 7210 printer all- in -one....looked for a long time to find this product!... could not be happier....no downloads needed to install Just push a button to transfer...LED's show transfer.

  5. One laptop did not recognize the device and the other treated it like a mouse (and kept disabling my tough pad). Returned.

5 comments about Joby GP1-M1EN Gorillapod GoGo Flexible Tripod with Suction Cup & 2 Adhesive Clips (Grey).
  1. Bought this for my youngest son (a grown man, btw) who finds it great for his use. This makes me very pleased, too, because I also bought one for myself and fully share his attitude. Added a ballhead, which makes it perfect.Light, strong, extremely useful.

  2. I love the idea of the little green gorillapod. I like the size vs. a standard tripod. It works pretty well, though it is not as stable as I would have hoped. As an alternative to carrying a typical tripod for certain situations it is very cool & worth owning.

  3. I just don't think this device is good enough for SLR-Zoom. I tried with 40D/grip and a small lens and XT 350D with grip and a small lens (50/1.4), in both cases the tripod legs hold firm with no slippage or bend(much to its credit, those complained about weak legs probably got pirate copies rather than the genuine article?). But the camera VIBRATES and hard to stay steady. 10sec timer helps to wait out the vibe. I think this has to do with the multi-section construction. So maybe the advertized line "for SLR+Zoom" is somewhat an exaggeration, at least for my purpose. But the device itself is otherwise well thought out and fabricated. My copy doesn't have any weak link at all.

Bottom line - great design, well made, just not strong enough for my combo of SLR-Zoom, or even SLR minus the Zoom :) But should be more than strong enough for most of the point-shoot or small camcorder. And the flexibility is an absolute advantage over conventional tripods.

    Good stuff!

  4. I like it as it does what it said it would do. I tried it on tree branches, outside on rocks and it works fine. The only drawback is the height.

Also with Nikon S600 where it has the screw at the corner, the camera tends to weigh down on one-side and the tripod needs to be adjusted to balance this and you might not get a nice shot because of that.

  5. Once you finally screw this into your camera, good luck trying to get it positioned "just right." The reality is you point your camera in some direction since it's so inflexible and hope you can claim the result was "artsy." I never ended up using it because it was so bad. Do yourself a favor and buy a real tripod.
