4 comments about ACOUSTIBUDS Silicone Adapters for earphones, CES 2009 INNOVATIONS AWARD, Made in the USA, for Ipod / Zune / Sansa / Sony / Creative / Many More Mp3 Players (Black, Two Pair, Two Sizes) from Burton Technologies.
- These earbud covers are amazing. I use my MP3 player in a variety of situations, including running, biking, working and riding horses, and working outside. The biggest problem I had with my former earbuds is that they would fall out of my ears when I got the cord caught on something or if I moved my head too much. I do not have this problem with the new earbuds. They are very secure in my ears and do not get pulled out unintentionally. They are also very comfortable in my ears, and allow for good sound quality.
- I use my Acoustibuds pretty much every day. I am completely satisfied with these things. I use mine for running, biking, and mowing the lawn. Yes mowing the lawn. Now instead of hearing the loud lawnmower I hear my music.
- These feel great in my ears, the sound quality is terrific and I think I am going to have to order another pair to send to my bro because I know he'll love these.
- I heard the inventor of this product interviewed on WGN Radio in Chicago and knew that I had to try them. I received the product the day after ordering, and was blown away with how much it improved the basic headphones that come with Iphone. I have over the ear Audio-Technica headphones that I really like, but am questioning if I need them now that I have the Acoustibuds. The sound quality seems just as good if not better, and they do a great job blocking out un-wanted noise. I could not be happier with these especially given how affordable they are!!

5 comments about JVC HAF130B Gumy Earbuds (Black).
- I got these as a replacement for my iPod headphones and really they aren't quite as good. The sound is very "tinny" and seems to have a more shrill treble with lacking bass. I've compensated for it by turning up the bass on my iPod but this is just a terrible solution and also doesn't sound "right."
I'd return them but they are so cheap I'll just replace them with something else when they break. I wouldn't recommend these for anyone who wants a set of ear buds that are better than the iPod's.
- I've had these earphones for months!
They never broke, I've stretched it, abused it, and I even dropped it in soup.
I bought this from a gas station a long time ago, for $9'99, there was one right next to it for $2 ..My brother bought the cheap ones and they broke a week later..he probably bought around 10 of those cheap earphones ($2) by now, and they all broke..but as I said, I still have my Gumy earphones after all this time :)
I don't know what the other people are talking about, I find them very comfortable and very good in terms of sound quality, I think these are worth a lot more than $9.99 - I would pay $30 for these ..
I got more than what I expected and I'd gladly buy it again...if..and that is IF they break.
- I picked these up for $10 from the college bookstore when my right headphone died. I was really concerned that these would suck, as the similiarly priced but horrible sony headphones I picked up a while ago did.
Positive
- Good sound! As a fan of heavy metal, rap and many other kinds of music I think these have plenty of bass.
- Cheap! They are $10, what more could you ask for?
- straight plug. I know this is a wierd one, but I hate those curved L headphone plugs, they annoy me to no end. These are nice and straight.
Negative
- As someone who usually doesn't wear earbuds, these are a little uncomfortable, but not horrible so.
- the cord is a little short for my tastes, I'd perfer another foot, or at least 6 inches.
- At first glance these head phones may seem "pretty" or "comfy" but let me assure you they are neither. They were very painful to have in my ears for anything over 20 min. I used them to listen to my I-pod before I went to bed mostly and just from two weeks of mild use they busted. The glue melted and they popped apart in my ear. Don't waste your money!
- item was as described and the shipping time was very fact. would definitrly do business with this seller again. :-)

5 comments about Harman Kardon Portable Speakers and Docking Station for iPod (Black/Silver).
- My boyfriend had been wanting this particular Portable station for some time. He had looked around for over a year and half with nothing in comparison in great sound perfect size for a portable station. A little
expensive, but got a good deal on the unit, and the quality is worth it, not to mention the look on my boyfriends face when he opened his birthday present. "Finally" Had been on his Amazon wish list for over a year.
- It has excellent bass, it sounds like a big amplifier. It would have been better if you can take a better look at the ipod screen, the handle obstructs the view. The remote control works excellent.
- The sound is incredible, staying clean throughout all volume levels. At the upper volume levels, I can listen to it throughout my house. And since the remote control is RF (not IR), I can actually control both the iPod and the player from wherever I am.
This deserves six stars!
- I have bought my HK Go+Play when it came out - early 2007 I think - and I really like it. Maybe with the reserve, as people here have mentioned, concerning the inserts/position of the ipod dock.
One thing I'd like to mention though is their customer service. I update my ipods regularly, and the inserts that came with the HK didn't fit the new Nanos. I wrote to HK asking where I could buy those.. and they asked for my address so they could send me the new inserts.. FREE of charge!
This is great service. I will recommend HK any time.
- I am no audiophile. But when I heard the Go+Play at a local store, I was blown away! It looked different and sounded exceptional.
So, I lusted after one...until I recently bought it.
____________________
Background: My music has been ripped from CDs and bought online at different bit rates (128 - 320 KBPS). Predominantly, the MP3s have been ripped at 128 KBPS. I play it on the latest Nano docked to the Go+Play.
____________________
The bad...
Most mp3s at the 128 KBPS bit rate sound unnaturally harsh on this device. It is near impossible to raise the volume level without your ears feeling the pain from the lack of quality. In contrast, the Athena iVoice (I own as well) is easier on the ear and does not boom the bass out or accentuate the treble the way the Go+Play does. Harman Kardon has not designed it to be forgiving....
Adjusting the IPOD equalizer was useful for certain songs (to correct for the treble and base) but overall did not serve the purpose as it required too much tinkering for each song and I just want to put it on the dock and forget about it...
Another issue is that the system does not charge the new IPODs.
The lousiest manual that can be found on this planet.
The good....
It is loud...it fills the room. You cannot use it at its peak volume without upsetting the neighbors (especially if they share a wall with you).
RF remote that is not direction sensitive....
Nice handle to carry it. The handle feels solid and it is easy to walk this device around.
The dock is very secure. You can rest assured that the ipod will remain safe as you carry the dock around.
The power adapter can convert 100V-240V into the required 18V and so, it can be used anywhere in the world.
The excellent....
If you rip CDs using the Apple lossless coding, ths sounds are significantly different. This boombox is designed for CD quality songs....
The distortion free response and clarity.....I can hear sounds on the Go+Play that I cannot on the Athena iVoice which is a bit more muddled.
Stereo separation...this sounds more like a stereo system than an IPOD dock!

5 comments about iHome Bike to Beach Speaker System for iPod (Black).
- First the bad news:
The Amazon page for this speaker claims compatibility with "all docking iPods"; however, this claim is out of date. There are issues using the speaker with a 3G Nano. (As of this writing, the "better together" feature is recommending buying the speaker with a 3G Nano, so be aware of this issue!)
To physically carry different sized iPods, the iH85 ships with plastic inserts of various sizes. However, the Nano insert only works with the old (no-longer-available) Nano form factor. The Nano you can buy today (3G) is shorter and wider (presumably to accomodate the screen).
If you call them to discuss this issue, iHome will ship you a foam insert which you can use (in conjunction with the "thin iPod" insert that ships with the speaker) to house a 3G Nano. However, this is an imperfect solution. The iPod can still rock forward in the case, and I've found that in the course of my typical ride, the iPod gets knocked off the dock at least one or two times. Probably not good for the connector, and definitely a hassle to stop and fix each time.
This may be good enough if you just want to use the iH85 as a portable iPod speaker, or if you ride only on well-paved roads that don't cross railroad tracks, etc.
Beyond that, they offer no fix. I had some difficulty understanding what the support guy was saying, but I think he indicated that the iH85 is not really supported anymore (though it's still on their web site) as it hasn't, according to him, sold all that well. Per his advice, I will be attempting a DIY solution to better secure the iPod in the case.
The unfortunate thing is, the 3G Nano is the most logical iPod to use with the iH85 speaker. (The classic has moving parts and Apple recommends against using it on a bike or similar vibration-prone environment; the old Nano and the Mini are no longer available; the Shuffle has no docking connector, and according to iHome support, the Touch and iPhone are too large to fit in the speaker case.)
Now, that's a hassle; but other than that, it's a great system.
I had no difficulty mounting this on my road bike, or moving it back and forth between the road bike and my hybrid. It's easy to use though the remote is occasionally less responsive than I'd like. Battery life seems very good. No complaint at all about the audio -- it's perfectly clear to the rider, and apparently if you're riding close behind another bike they can hear it too :)
- Works Great, Nice sound , remote works well. This is the solution to my biking with music needs. I have tried many different arrangements but this fits into the area where the water bottle cage goes. Since we wear the hydration bags we don't need the bottle cages anyway. I have found that I use it even when I am not biking, as it doesn't take up much space, is easy to carry around and it has good sound.
- This is a good, well designed product that can resist rough treatment. The quality and volume of sound, considering its size, is excellent indoors, but outdoors, where it is supposed to be used, it gets inevitabily dispersed and is weaker than I expected.
- Sound quality is pretty amazing, build is great. You would think this would be a little overkill in terms of cluttering your bicycycle but the form and function with the included remote control just works....
- I bought this for my husband for his birthday and he LOVES it. His only compliant was the battery life was not very good. When he used it for the first time he went on a 5-6 hour bike ride and it went dead after about
3-4 hours. It has great sound and is very durable. We really like the remote feature.

1 comments about iLuv i166 Audio System with Dual Alarm, LCD, and Dock for iPod (White).
- Nice little stereo with alarm clock that lets you wake up to your Ipod and more importantly the specific song. Some just shuffle this one doesn't. There's a glow from the clock but not so bright that it really illuminates the room so you can't sleep. My only problem is that it's hard to read the time and I don't know if it's the blue background (which most of them have lately), that if the time could be darker against that background and it would be easier to see or my bad vision. I don't recall having this difficulty with previous clocks that had red against black. All in all I'm pretty happy with it. The remote is a nice feature although I don't really use it.

5 comments about Logitech Pure-Fi Dream Speaker for iPod and iPhone 1G (Black).
- Logitechs Pure-Fi Dream is, in a word, amazing. It has so many special features built in (motion sensing, backlit remote, etc.) and they integrate perfectly. The audio quality is great, a bit light on the base, but still very nice to listen to. Its the kind of product that seems slightly unnecessary, but once you get your hands on it and place it on your night-table or where ever, it just fits right in. From the remote, you can perform almost everything you can do from the speakers: set the alarms, change the bass levels, control your iPod, the remote is great. I could basically keep talking forever about the sleek design, the smoothness of the audio, the easy-to-use controls, everything! The single problem that i could find that may bother me is the size of the power brick, its about 2/3 the size of the xbox 360 one, but this only matters if you're carrying it around which this system is not made for. Besides that, this is one of my favorite electronic purchases and it works great with my new ipod touch 2g. Perfect score, 5 stars!
- I bought this for my new IpodTouch. Most likely I wanted this device to have my Ipod charged and then listen to it while I'm in my bed. I was very pleased when I found out it had so much more functions than my previous Logitech Speakers for my older Ipod.
When I bought my new IpodTouch I was disappointed to find out that no more there was a function to get waked up by a playlist but only by alarm sounds. As more happy I was when I found out that these speakers bring that function back. So you can set up two alarms where you can select a play list and even the volume you want to be woke up with. You have also 6 Memory buttons to each of them you can assign a playlist from your Ipod. So you don't to go through your Ipod menu anymore. Just press the memory button and it will automatically play the playist associated to it.
The quality of the speakers is great. Very clear.
Pro:
* Very intuitive menu makes it easy to navigate through all the settings with the remote control of your speakers
* 6 Memory buttons that allows you associate a play list with
* Very well done snooze function that allows you to set any time you want (not only 15min/30min/90min)
* Has two alarm settings that allows you to select from a play list, play it shuffled and to set the volume of the speakers
* Back light remote control
* Display on the speakers show you the current time or the song recently played.
* You can do almost every operation with your remote control. Such as choosing the memorized playlist, setting the alarm and more.
Con:
* regarding the volume feature for the alarm there is a bug in the device. If you set up two different alarms and both are active the alarm2 will always overwrite volume setting of alarm1. For example if you set up alarm1 with a low volume setting to wake you up at 7:45am and then you set up alarm2 with a higher volume setting for 8:00am to kick you out of the bed, alarm1 will wake you up with the higher volume setting of alarm2. Alarm2 will only overwrite the volume setting of alarm1 if it is active. I also tried to set alarm2 being the first one to wake me up and alarm1 the second one. It's still not working :(.
* There is a short buzz sound whenever you turn the speakers on. This also happens if the alarm starts the device. So that sounds is most likely the sound that wakes me up before the play list kicks in.
* There is a shuffle on/off button on the device and the the remote. However pressing the button the device will not tell you, you just turned it on or off.
After all, I would recommend to by this. It looks cute and has build in a lot of cool features I even haven't expected to be there.
I only give it 4 Stars, because there is this bug with the alarm volume that they should have found before they released this device.
- For the most part this is a great product. The shortcomings are that the snooze period is not functional with the iPhone docked and the display is a little small and hard to read.
- Having looked at the current crop of iPhone clock radios, I think this is the best one (and unfortunately the most expensive!). Nice sounding speakers, iPhone rings thru speakers, 2 alarms (wish you could pick your days individually), very good FM reception in fringe area, easy to work without reviewing the manual and nice display (not too bright). Great way to keep iPhone charged and nearby.
I would love to know the trade offs for the less expensive version - Logitech Pure-Fi Anytime Premium Alarm Clock for iPod and iPhone (ASIN B001FWXDZG) - which is a more reasonable $79.
- I love the sound, but when I connect my iPhone 3g, it doesn't really charge the phone. It was plugged in all night and never finished charging. Also the phone often pops up with a warning - "this device not compatible with iPhone, do you want to use Airplane mode?" It's pretty annoying. While it says on the box it's compatible, I think the compatibility is only marginal. It's too bad, because the sound is pretty good. I will be taking it back today.

5 comments about JVC HAFX34B Marshmallow Headphones.
- my girlfriend bought these, but in pink. i had the Shure E2c $60 headphones, which i loved. then one day my expensive headphone broke. so i borrowed her JVC marshmallow's. the sound was almost just as good, only the bass was not as powerfull. the JVC were more comfortable. the JVC blocks out all the outside sound just as good as my Shure E2c. the JVC 3' cord is a little shorter than i would like. but for the price $19.99, or cheaper online. the JVC wins. so i have then bought a pair for my self, and have been using them since, still love them.
- After reading a couple of negative reviews, I was skeptical, but the positive ones had me intrigued. I am very glad I bought these. They sound wonderful, and are comfortable. Yes, make sure you put them in right. I was pleasantly shocked at the richness of the sound. Great also for being in noisy environments, yard work, etc. One would use these when they don't need to be connected with their surroundings, so don't ride a bike with them--unless you're in the open country, and careful if you jog in the city or on a path that's shared by bikers. All I can say is these sound great on my iPod. The bass is rich, the mid and high ranges are strong and clear. At this price, this is a terrific find. Will be getting at least another pair. They do come with a second set of earbuds, which is nice.
- These earbuds are awesome. The memory foam is soft for the ear, yet stay firm once expanded. I snowboard A LOT and have gotten these earbuds wet on several occasions, yet they still work great. I have yanked, pulled, and snagged the cord on everything and it's mom and the wires have not started to dislocate. Great sound, decent bass. The reason I didn't give it 5-stars was because of the cord texture. The sticky rubber cord snags and rubs harshly on everything, making a pull from my ears. I have jogged with these headphones under my shirts and they always seem to start pulling down, I would prefer a smoother cord. Besides that the rest is gold.
- I work in a noisy metal shop, and these phones do a good job of blocking the noise, so I don't have to destroy my ears just to hear my ipod over the racket. They sound pretty decent, and have lasted me for something like a year now, whereas before I was going through phones every few months. I'm buying a new set in preparation for the inevitable day when these crap out.
- I'm no audiophile, and so I wasn't going to drop $50+ on a pair of ear buds. These were recommended by a friend, and I couldn't be happier with them. Great sound and fit for their price. If you're looking for a set of budget level ear buds, go with these.

5 comments about Fellowes Nylon CD Album (320-Disc Capacity).
- Just as advertised, this holds a large number of the discs that otherwise tend to exacerbate my signature clutter. Protects them and makes them easy to find. Much better, for these purposes, than various more-expensive and less-compact cases and organizers I've tried, over the years. Fits on a shelf with 3-ring binders.
- Top notch cd walled with solid zipper and carrying handle. Largest CD wallet I was able to find.
- this product is great- large capacity, heavy duty zipper, looks like a fat book and saves soooooooooo much space. Has a stury handle and tough fabric that resists animal claws and spills. love it!
- I really like this product. Yesterday, I organized all of my DVD's in this carrying case, and I still have plenty of room left to sort out my CD's. The only drawback is that it is bulky and unwieldy, but it is still an excellent purchase. All of those plastic jewel cases, many with cracked lids, are in a garbage bag waiting for the trash pick up.
- i am very happy with it! all my cd/dvd fit nicely in the sleeves with the paper of the songs. i bought 2 more. doesnt scratch cd/dvds
