5 comments about beyerdynamic DT 880 Premium Headphones.
- I have used some HiFi earbuds (Audiotechnica CM7Ti,Etymotic ER4P, Shure E3C). Now I want a pair of headphones. My targets are HD650, K701 and DT990. Finally I chose DT990 (because of its price tag on Amazon now). Connect the DT990 to my UHA-3 amplifier, then to my Marantz CD player... What do I get from Beethoven's 9th Symphony (1942 Furtwangler)? Incredible sound. Accurate position, just like the orchestra is performing on a live stage! You can tell different instruments clearly. Besides, it's much more convenient to wear headphones than those earbuds. Recommend this premium HiFi headphone-- if still with that price tag.
- Great headphones, too large for most portable users, but excellent sound even from my Zune.
- This is my first pair of higher end headphones, and I'm really pleased with these. They are comfortable, are well built and sound great. The sound is well balanced, although the bass is not very impressive if you listen to very bass heavy music. This is without an amplifier. I'm using a Practical Devices XM5 portable headphone amp, and that makes these sound even better. With the bass boost on the amp, the bass is where I want it to be, and it just makes these headphones sound a bit better overall. You don't need the amp, but yeah, it helps.
- I'm a drummer and I recently purchased a roland td-90 electronic kit. I previously had the bose around the ear headphones which work great. I wanted to step it up a bit and see what this kit would sound like with a good pair of headphones. These headphones were a major dissapointment for me. I have to turn the volume on the roland td-90 up to maximum in order to hear the kit over my sticks hitting the mesh pads. I don't know a whole lot about headphones, but I do know these headphones do not deliver in the volume catagory. With the bose headphones I have, I only have to turn the the volume 3/4 as loud to achieve the same volume as these bt 770. Be warned.
- This is for the 990 headphones (I don't know why the reviews are for different series below). I recently got these and broke them in with 100+ hours of loud pink noise so they should sound as they're "going to" at this point. The construction is good and they are very comfortable around the ear. The headband could use a lil more padding perhaps, but no biggie.
Now before I go into how they sound, I'll let you know where I'm coming from. This is my first pair of "real" headphones besides the cheap $20-30 sport kind, and I didn't audition any other brands before buying these, so this isn't really good for a headphone comparison. I do have very very very good speakers in my car (Dynaudio running off a McIntosh amp; JL Audio sub running off Phoenix Gold amp) and good tower speakers at home (Saturn - same company that makes Earthquake subwoofers - running off a NAD stereo amp). I'm running these headphones off the NAD amp.
After the pink noise break-in, I tried out various tracks - mainly trance, rock, and hip-hop. Generally, these sound very good and I'm happy with my purchase. I can hear a lot of the high frequency detail I get from my Dynaudios and good high clarity (ex. a complex Radiohead track). There is a good amount of bass and vocals sound very nice.
However, there does seem to be a slight bit of muddling in the mid range when there's a lot going on (vocals sometimes less sharp/clear when a lot of other sounds are going on. I'd prefer a little more clarity overall. The low end is there, but might overshadow the mids at times. The lows are good, but they don't really "hit" like I'd really like. Some Jay-Z tracks that go way low and slam don't really do it with these headphones. That low low thump is there, but sounds distant. The low end does a better job with the more standing bass wave like from a bass guitar or synthesized.
As I said, I'm comparing these to a top end system so in a ways I'd be a little dissapointed if they DID sound as good as my car after all I put in it! That being said, all-in-all, I think they really do sound good and are very comfortable to wear. They play a lot of detail and 99% of the people buying these will think they're the best thing ever because it'll probably be the best they've heard. Plus, for the money (they were on Amazon discount over $100 off retail when I got these for $260) it's a great buy.
The Grado 325s were considered, but are supposed to kill your head after 30 min. Sennheiser's were considered.

5 comments about Clear AV 1080p (6.6ft) 2M HDMI Cable.
- I HAVE MY PS3 CONNECTED TO A 32" SYLVANIA LCD TV...AND IT WORKS GREAT,
I BOUGHT 2 OF THEM JUST IN CASE, BUT BELIEVE ME I PLUGGED THE 1ST ONE AND HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL, IT DOESN'T GET HOT, NO INTERFERENCE AT ALL AND ITS LONG ENOUGH TO PUT YOUR SYSTEM IN THE CABINET... FULLY 1080 RESOLUTION.
YOU WON'T REGRET!!!
- I was skeptical just like everyone else about the quality of the cable but after using this one and a Phillips HDMI cable there was no difference! So i saved an easy 100+ dollars after ordering 3 of these bad boys.
- I purchased these cables out of curiousity. I wanted to see for myself if it was true that all these HDMI cables are the same. I hooked it up to my PS3 and my 46" Sony XBR4 LCD TV. I compared it to a M1000 Monster cable. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!!! The image on the monster cable was A LOT sharper and the colors were more vibrant. The refresh rate was a huge difference as well. I did get a 1080P resolution so they did get the job done. I would reccomend this cable if you want a high resolution signal and medieocre colors and sharpness. Does it make sense to buy real cheap shoes with an expensive suit? No!
- This is the best bargain I've ever found on the internet. Works flawlessly and is very, very cheap.
- I bought this cable to use with my HD cable box and it worked perfectly. Don't be fooled by the high end HDMI cables, this one works just fine. I'm experienced with electronics and computers and this cable really does the job well. The normal person will most likely not be able to tell the difference in picture quality between this cable and a high end one. Great product!

5 comments about Panasonic RP-HV152 Portable Earbud Headphones with Powerful Sound.
- I didn't expect much out of these, but for the price I was impressed. Good range, clear treble that's not tinny, and a lot of volume. There's less bass and midrange than other sets, but not a big deal- I prefer the midrange cut anyway (good for rock) and with the bass turned up higher on a portable player the sound is actually quite good. They are very comfortable in the ear, and the cord, at 44 inches, is just right, not too long or short.
I'd recommend these to anyone looking for an inexpensive spare set of earbuds. I've also had more expensive Panasonic buds, and while there was more bass, the drivers made a horrible popping sound at high volumes. I didn't have this problem at all with the RP-HV152s. If you need a spare set, pick these up- they're definitely a good buy.
- Great sound, loud as hell, and fit comfortably under your hat during winter.
What more can you ask?
- The sound is very balanced and smooth, but still has dynamics. A touch bass shy, but not in a bothersome way. Actually quite musical and clean. A steal for the money. I use these more than my Etymotic Research ER4P earbuds because these are much more comfortable and the sound is more natural and relaxed, which isn't saying much for the ER's I realize, but those are my views.
- This is one of the best earbuds in its class. They are loud , have good quality, and so far have proven to be durable. now a few warnings, these are "open air earbuds" they are built so that you can hear the outside, cars, conversations, etc. so with that in mind it is impossible for incredible sound quality but these headphones are definitely superior to the iPod headphones in sound quality. They fit my ears perfectly and never fell out on their own. The connector and earbuds feel cheap and light but so far they have proven sturdy and when in you're ears they fell fine. these headphones are a great replacement for the iPod headphones and are a steal at such a low price.
- Well...they're cheap, that's for sure.
Fit: Pretty poor. There's no foam sleeve or outer wrap to help the earbud stay securely in the outer ear. So they feel as if they'll easily fall out if they are not placed exactly the right way.
Sound: Pretty poor. There's NO bass whatsoever. Sound really lacks any definition. So...be forewarned.
But, they ARE cheap.

5 comments about Cables To Go - 26886 - 13in USB To DB9 Male Serial Adapter.
- This adaptor was a good value; preformed its function and was trouble free in use.
- I have a laptop with USB but I needed a COM1 port to communicate with my GPS.
This product did exactly what I needed. It came with a CD with the necessary drivers and instructions that made the whole process quite easy.
If you need a COM1 port on a computer that only has USB, this is the product for you.
- I run a couple of devices off of this cable as needed. Each works flawlessly. It may take a little bit more computer savvy then the normal plug and play, just to make sure that the computer is searching for the device on the right com port (took me about ten minutes of frustration to figure out that the device had seated on com11 - switched it to com1 and all well)!!
Also - for those who don't read installation manuals (myself included) - it helps to run the install disk first... :)
If you need this type of connectivity, I highly recommend!
All the best,
Jay
- The CablesToGo USB to Serial adapter did not work for me. I tryed using it in an industrial setting to connect a Vista machine to RS Linx and other industrial software. I love their instructions - see if the adapter shows up as properly installed in the windows device manager (which it does). If it doesn't work, the problem is with your software. Right.
Don't waste your time or money on this product. There is a reason there are 54 used ones for sale for a couple of bucks on Amazons site. If you want a solution that works every time, purchase the Keyspan USA 19HS adapater. It plain works. Sure it costs twice as much, but no excuses. See my review on the Keyspan adapter for connectivity to RS Linx using a Vista or XP machine.
- This product did not come with the device drivers to enable my Garmin to connect with a PC Vista computer. I am unsure whether this is due to the major scratches on the disc that came with it (I tried it on an XP computer as well) or what. I tried to find something online but everything relevant is in Chinese. A COMPLETE waste of money. Be careful...this company makes it sound like it will work with basically any device, but that was NOT my experience.

3 comments about Sony VAIO 11.1-Inch Neoprene protection case.
- I bought VAIO TZ-150N and looked for the pouch from [...].
It ended up more pricey than Amazon, I am glad I got it from here.
It has two way pocket in the front, can fit in the adapter and a mouse inside.
Very portable and good design.
- This sleeve is just perfect for my Vaio TZ. I never leave home without it. It also has a small from pocket that allows you to store the AC adapter if needed. Even with the adaptor on board, things remain elegant and streamlined. I highly recommend this product.
- This case fits like a glove for that small sony VAIO! I love it! it also has two zippers on each end of a side pocket on top of the case so you can keep the core part of the power source in the pocket even when charging. :-) And my ipod also fits in the pocket.
The main zipper only goes halfway down but I like it like that so I can easily slide my laptop into the case. :-)

5 comments about Portable Sound Lab 06BWB01 Handheld Speakers for your iPod (Black).
- I have only used the speakers a few times but found them very convenient. I was doing work around the house and I usually get the earphone wires tangled in whatever project I am working on. I just put the speakers through my belt loop and had no problem whatsoever. I was doing quiet work. They would probably not have been as satisfactory if I were mowing the lawn.
- This amplifier is great. The only inconvenient thing is the connection to the iPod.
- I had a few people ask me where i purchased the speaker... sounds GREAT and volume is awesome.
- I bought a refurbished unit so my comments may not be 100% in line with a new product. The touch screen did not work. I couldn't get my ipod to respond - perhaps it got replaced or "refurbished" - who knows. And I didn't like the fact that portions of the screen on my ipod got covered. The window for the plastic "touch screen" should be large enough so you can see the whole screen - you can't - edges get covered. And the cord running from the unit to my ipod - well - it's just not very attractive. I thought I could get over this - but didn't like it. And the sound is mediocre at best - and yes, I'm judging this against other portables. And finally, not having the ability to run this off AC just makes it that much less attractive.
I returned the unit and found a winner - Sonic Impact Portable Speaker. Check that one out before you go any further. It's got all the things that this unit lacks - and it's only $30.
- I purchased one of these for myself about 6 months ago and was impressed with the sound quality. My son, who is rather picky liked it too, so I got one for his birthday. He loves it! Batteries last a long time too, especially if you remember to turn it off between uses :-)

5 comments about Mobile Edge Express Backpack-Black-MEBPE2.
- I got 2 of these for my kids in October, ages 16 and 11, and both of them starting breaking after less than a couple months of daily use. My son's top strap snapped after one month, then one of the arm straps unraveled. My daughters zippers broke in several places, and the same top handle and arm straps are starting to unravel as well. I bought them because of the 4 star rating and lifetime guarantee. I am beginning to doubt the validity of the star rating system, since I bet few people come back to comment after these back packs are in tatters.
- Bought this to carry a fairly large laptop, along with extra battery, cell phone and ipod. I liked the looks of the bag when I first saw it and I was happy with it when I received it. Seems just a bit larger than I would have liked but overall it's a very nice backpack.
- the product according to the safety of laptop is 100% good,
it is gud for 17' laptops too...
but its not a good looking back pack, its not shiny
very dull and looks heavy
- Great product, even greater price!!! It's light, has a lot of room, and my large laptop fits just fine. Very pleased.

- This is a great product for anyone who does a fair deal of traveling with a laptop, i.e. student, professional, or anyone wanting to have their laptop on hand at all times. I use it about everyday or so and it fits my 15" laptop great. It has a velcro strap to keep the laptop snug and plenty of extra room for powercords, external HDs, and i can even get my bluetooth keyboard in it with the mouse in the top pouch. Not only does it accommodate my laptop and all my accessories, but its incredibly comfortable on the shoulders too. I have not had any problems with straps breaking off or anything like I've read about in other reviews so no worries there. If you're looking for a laptop case that's convenient, comfortable, plenty of space for your stuff, and looks decent too without a bunch of labels sticking out in annoyance this is definitely the one you should use. 5 stars, no complaints, and i rarely do reviews on products unless they really deserve it bad or good, so in my opinion this pack is really worth every penny. Enjoy!

5 comments about Belkin F3N402-03-ICE 4-Pin to 4-Pin FireWire Cable (3-Feet).
- This cable is not durable. We ordered three of them for the college where I work. The first one worked great the first two weeks, but now the cable won't stay tight, the connection is intermittent at best. The second won't carry a signal at all. I'm going to make use of the lifetime warranty.
:c
- This cable does what it is supposed to do and it seems to be well constructed.
- This 4-pin to 4-pin firewire cable was exactly the cable I needed to connect my 10+ year old digital camcorder to a computer. I had not used my camera in a while, and none of the cables I had seemed to work with any of the computers I now own; the local electronics stores did not carry anything that would work; but my laptop had a 4-pin firewire port, and so did my camera, and I was able to find this cable on Amazon. It does the job perfectly.
- We recently had a 10-foot FireWire cable wear out (the connector at one end went bad) and chose this cable to replace it. We wanted a shorter cable, as we use it to download video from a video camera to a laptop, and they are usually sitting right next to each other. This 3-foot cable fit the bill, and we have been using it a couple of months with no problems.
- The Belkin F3N402-03-ICE 4-Pin to 4-Pin FireWire Cable is a good quality Firewire that I have used several times. This one was three feet long. I plan to buy another one six feet long. This cable is of good quality and works well for me. I certainly recommend this cable.

- for the price you can't beat the quality and i received it quickly; this isn't the first time buying from these guys and i'll definitely but from them in the future.
- I was mostly motivated by cost mixed with a little bit of necessity when I was shopping for a coax cable to connect my dvd player to my receiver; I would have preferred to use optical just because I find the concept of optical cable cooler than electrical cable, but my receiver was all out of optical ports.
This cable had the lowest total cost I could find; Amazon shipped it out even quicker than I expected. I was pleased with the feel and construction of the cable, it felt solid and definitely worth more than I paid for it. It works with no issues and I'm still happily using it now.
- Good price and great quality for the price. I bought this cable to connect my Sony HTC100 to a dvd player. The difference in the sound is very amazing.

- This is an excellent splitter, the picture quality actually is better now that I replaced Comcast's splitter with this one, and the Comcast one was just a two way splitter!!!
- Don't let the cheap price fool you. Works great with with HD-cable and I get great cable modem speed(Over 17 megabytes on cable that is supposedly capped off at 15 megabytes).
