5 comments about Creative 3-In-1 Skin Pack for Creative Zen (Red/Blue/Black).
  1. Add a stick-on screen guard and your Zen will be protected. The skin fits snugly, not adding much thickness to your player. A strudy metal belt clip is included on each skin and can be removed if desired. My only negative is having to buy three when I only needed one.

  2. Also purchase the clear plastic screen protectors. Overall, the quality is quite good. The belt clip on the back does not come in contact with the back of the player (I was initially worried that the metal would scrape against the player). The buttons are marked on the skin, which is useful as I'm still getting used to them on my new player. The black does collect a lot of dust and lint. From past experience, I know you can take them off and rinse them easily, and with more use, the surface attracts less debris.

I would actually prefer being able to buy a single skin rather than a three pack, and more color options. Overall, this was the best looking skin I saw and I'm happy with the quality.

  3. Molded to perfectly fit your Zen, comes in a 3 pack. Face it, this is made by Creative, not some 3rd world nation knock off. It does attract a bit of dust, but thats no big deal, as all virgin silicon does.

To clean it off, remove the zen and put on one of the other 3 colors it comes with. Take the dirty one and just wash it with mild soap and water, let dry completely before next use. Like brand new again:)

I highly suggest for an actual screen protector you combine this with the invisishield from ZAGG.com, you wont be dissapointed.

  4. Product was as described, easy to use, looks good, reasonably priced, and arrived in a timely fashion.

  5. Three-in-one covers seem like a good buy, but the real product does not look near as good as the picture. They are very fake and cheap looking. They fit okay, but it is a little awkward getting the player into the cover. I was not happy with this product. However, I ordered the leather case for the Creative Zen from Amazon and it is fabulous. I would highly recommend going with the leather case over these.

3 comments about Case Logic True Sport Armband Case for 80/120/160 GB iPod classic 6G, iPod touch 1G, iPod touch 2G (Silver).
  1. I have tried three cases. One was too small; another was too difficult to strap on. When jogging you do not want to spend time pushing and arranging the music player into the case because it is such a snug fit. And wrapping the case around your arm can't take time either. Those are the two must haves for cases. Caselogic hits both without issue whereas the other cases failed.

Also the Caselogic case is not heavy, bulky and has a simple hole at the bottom to expose the headphone jack.

One of the generic issues with an iTouch is the ability to access volume and change tracks with jogging. No solve here you have to know where the home button to access volume and track selection.

Only caveat is the screen is not crystal clear-- so when viewing the iTouch screen there is a little glare-- but who looks at the screen while jogging?

  2. I am using this case with an iPod Touch 16GB and it works great. It feels very snug and I have no worries about the iPod falling out (like when it's inverted doing bench press). The headphone jack is accessible through a hole in the bottom so you can plug/unplug your headphones easily.

The iPod still registers touch through the screen on the case so don't worry about trying to touch the screen directly (I even wear this while I mow and I wear gloves and it still registers me touching it, although I do have to add a little pressure).

The strap is about 2" wide and very comfortable (stretchy neoprene) and is secured with a 2"x2" velcro end. So far, I have not had it come undone.

Lastly, there is a 3" piece of fabric that you can wrap your headphones around (you see it running vertical to the left of the main case in the product picture). This is great to keep just the right amount of headphone cable dangling so it doesn't constantly get in the way.

All in all, this is a great armband and would definitely recommend it.

  3. I bought this armband so that I could listen to my iPod comfortably while at the gym. I love it. A bit expensive, but perfect for its use.

5 comments about Sony MDR-W24V Vertical In-The-Ear Headphones.
  1. When I first put them on I loved the fit, they were light weight.... then when I plugged them into my Ipod, the right speaker was much louder than the left, So I turned the cable back and forth at the bottom of the Ipod and the speakers snapped, popped and went out completely, then came back on. So you have to get the cord just right to have both speakers working. Don't bother with them, I cant believe "Sony" would make such a cheap pair of headphones. I'm going to have to get another pair.

  2. The headphones were really comfortable but they broke in like a week...the wires are to thin and break easily.

  3. I have been using these for a few months now after searching for a good set of non ear bud headphones for working out and running. Its been annoying to me to have my ear buds fall out while exercising and having to crank the sound up as they dont fit snuggly enough to get full range. These although cheap are high quality earphones for the price that stay in my ears. Its only been a couple months so time will tell but for now, I have stocked up b/c good headphones that are cheap and wont fall our are so hard to find.

  4. I've found this item hard to find in stores and when I did it was more expensive. I use my headphones at work so I'm always pulling on the cord. I found this item to be a good quality item for it's price range. The sound is good and clear. It keeps out allot of outside noise. I've been using these headphones for years now and recommend them especially if you tend to be rough with them and don't want to spend allot of money.

  5. I work out 4 times a week, and listen to music during every workout. Earbuds and similar over-the-ear phones don't get it, I'm too active and spend all my time adjusting the darn things. [When you're listening to Car Bomb during a sprint, you just can't stop to push the damned earphones back in, now can you?!]
I've worn out a few of the Sony MDR-A35G S2 Sports Headphones with Sweat Guard Mechanism, which really work well for me, but wanted to try a similar set of phones that MIGHT not break at the temples so easily [I go through those about once or twice a year]. So I got the Sony MDR-W24V Verticals, and they are working fine. Have had them for a couple of months, the sound is good, and the in-line volume control is GREAT. Saves me having to pull out the iPod to adjust volume. I will definitely get these again when they wear out, as they inevitably will.

5 comments about Belkin Leather Folio Case for iPod touch 1G (Black/Chocolate Brown).
  1. I like the way this looks protecting my iPod, but after a day or two I noticed that my case was pushing my iPod out at an angle and I have to readjust it all the time, but its very very simple so I dont mind it too much. Also sometimes the bottom support for the iPod gets in the way of the earphone jack, that can be annoying sometimes. I usually have to play with it for a minute to get the jack in there right. I cant give this product any higher rating because of these reasons.

  2. This case is sleek and elegant. It is the perfect housing for the IPOD touch.

  3. I'm very satisfied with this folio. It would be even better if it closed using magnets instead of the velcro strap which makes it a little less slim than it could be. A very good purchase in my opinion.

  4. I bought this for my girlfriends new Ipod and she loves it. A folio case has flap which covers the front, that is what a folio case is. I can't believe all of the reviews which list this as a negative! If you want a case with a front cover this is perfect, if you want to fondle your Ipod all the time don't buy a folio.

  5. (Note: The one-star rating has been given because atleast one star is mandatory, for the experience I've had, negative stars would have made more sense)

Please be very wary when you order this product (the Belkin iPod Touch Case w/ Magnetic Flap).

I paid $18+ for this, I purchased two. And what I got was the velcro versions of it (Belkin Leather Folio for iPod touch 1G (Black/Chocolate)), which cost only $8+. A dollar or two would not have made any difference, but then if this was done intentionally, then I've been deceived of a whole $10 for each piece, that's $20 in total.
The best part was I did not even realise it until a few days passed.

I'm sending both for a refund. I don't know what to make of this experience. I'm sure there was no error (barcodes cannot go wrong), because if they can charge me right then they may as well send me the right product. Not something that can deceive the buyer so easily.

If that wasn't enough, Belkin has got everything possible wrong with the measurements. The slot for the 'Home' button is not correctly placed. The earphones slot gets covered up too. It's quite tricky to plug/unplug the headphones/earphones.

So, if you're ordering this, then all the best to you!!! Take my advice, keep your eyes open. WIDE OPEN!!! It took me a week to realise that I've been fleeced of $20. Go in for something else instead.

5 comments about AV Composite Cable for Nintendo 64, Black.
  1. My son had acquired an old Nintendo 64, just like the one I donated a few years ago. He even was able to find copies of some of the games we used to have. But the system didn't come from a cable -- a present from a friend. We bought a universal cable, and it didn't work. One of his friends had an old system and his cable didn't work either. Fearing that there might be something wrong with the system itself, I purchased the cable from Amazon and it works perfectly. And it was only about $8 including shipping!

  2. My grandson somehow got his other cable "messed up". Upon finding this one available, we ordered and he is very happy with the connections.

  3. My son's N64 av cable was broken weeks ago. I search around on Amazona and I found that this cable is much cheaper than in retail stores. I would buy another one as a spare.

  4. This cable works amazing wonders. It's a lot smaller than the cable that comes with the N64, but this is generally a mood thing, as some keep their N64s a distance away from the TV, etc. but me and my brothers think that it's a wonderful cord and it works for cheap. Just on thing to keep in mind, though:

PUT THE RIGHT COLOR CORD IN THE RIGHT COLOR HOLE

I know that it was a stupid mistake, but we almost thought our N64 was broken or our cables were bad.

    Highly recommended, great seller too.

  5. Fantastic price for a much needed item... also quick and dependable service... I would DEFINITELY use this seller again!

5 comments about Belkin Leather Folio Case for iPod touch (Pink/Chocolate Brown).
  1. I only bought this as it was described as magnetic closure!!! It was velcro!!! I dislike it because of that!

  2. This product is great! Its cute and helps keep my ipod protected while its in my bag. The cover allows access to all the openings and buttons, and its easy to open and close. Perfect for girls, but it doesn't have a belt clip, which I don't need anyways. Great bargain!

  3. The color is pretty true to the picture (very powdery pink.) The front flap can fold behind the iTouch/Phone and you can attach the velcro so the cover is out of your way while using the device. The only con I can think of is the elastic which holds the unit in can cover the earphone and charger plugs and you have to fiddle with it a bit to make sure the connection fits. Beside this, the fit is very secure. Beware not to throw it in a bag where it may get scratched by keys or a loose pen as it is leather and will leave a mark. I have bought three in different colors. The persimmon and ivory combo looks very nice.

  4. This iPod Touch case protects your iPod from scratches. There's no belt clip so it's really designed for women and purses. A good value.

  5. I bought the product after looking at all the local electronic stores and big box stores. I wanted something that was not only stylish but would protect the Ipod in my purse and from my 2 year old's tendency to drop it when watching movies on it. It serves both purposes quite well. The case is well designed so that I don't have to remove the cover to charge it and is constructed with what seems to be quality material so that it will last quite some time. I am very happy with the purchase and due to the free shipping on Amazon I was able to get a similar case for my husband in the amount that it would have cost me to pay for shipping on just this product alone.

5 comments about Belkin F8E550-CMK Notebook Security Lock, Master-Keyed.
  1. Product does everything it's supposed to do. However, the metal for the lock seems rather thin (< 1.5 cm in diameter?, don't know what type of metal) that I often have the urge to just try to cut it myself. Unfortunately, I don't think the limited warranty covers for that if I happened to succeed in stealing my own computer... Otherwise, it's pretty light, the cable is of decent length, and when I insert the locking device vertically, like most laptops, into my IBM X60s, it doesn't make the laptop rise up, which I know some laptops do.

  2. I've only had the product for a month so I cannot speak to its durability, but I've consistently heard bad things about combination locks for laptops. This key lock however has worked out quite well. The only warning I might have is that the cord is only a couple feet long, so if you attach it to a chair (and your laptop is at your desk), and you slide your chair out, you might stretch the cord out too far. But this has not been a problem for me, and I have found the cord to be exactly long enough. $15-20 made this a good value.

  3. The locking insert does not fit into the security slot for macbook pros. You can force the key insert to align, but doing so would cause the aluminum sideplate to bulge.

I bought another for my external hard drive, and that works wonderfully. My only concern is that this lock is not truly universal.

  4. Purchased this laptop lock for my daughter going to college. Very easy to use. Works well to secure her laptop to her desk while off at class.

  5. This product is keeping my daughter's laptop safe at college. Several laptops have disappeared from her dorm...her's is locked up tight. Easy to use; she had no problem understanding how to connect it to her Dell & how to secure it to the desk in her room.

5 comments about SR60.
  1. I'm a casual music listener. I don't know the difference between "midrange" and "nominal impedance" (and I don't WANT to know). If you want well-made headphones that sound forceful and crisp, then pick these up.

I listen mainly to hip-hop music, so bass is important to me. These are the most expensive headphones that I've ever owned, but I have used the Sennheiser PX100s as well. These deliver superior bass to the PX100s, and even though they are open-air design, I never have to press the earcups closer to my head to hear my music better. In fact, I find myself having to turn the volume DOWN on my SR60s because it delivers such rich sound. Again, I am not a sound expert; if you want to know about "ohms" and "tweeters," then look elsewhere. I am just a hip-hop fan who wants his music to sound good. These will not let you down.

The SR60s are also very well made. A common problem I had with headphones, even the PX100s, was the flimsy cable unraveling and, eventually, only delivering sound in one ear. Another issue I had to deal with was the cable getting tangled. The SR60s have very thick cables that I can't imagine ever getting tangled or worn out. Every set of headphones I had met its untimely fate in the garbage can because of bad construction, but these look like they can survive for years.

My one gripe is that the cable is very long, so it's hard to use these on the go. I had to bundle some of the cable with rubber bands so it wouldn't hit my knees. If you then tuck this bundle into your pocket, you'll be just fine. Buy these, and they'll be the last pair of headphones you'll need.

  2. I've had mine for almost a year now and have been really happy with the sound. Unfortunately, they broke today. The plastic pivot pin used to connect the phones with the body snapped in half.

I only use these at my desk so they haven't seen any hard use at all.

  3. I have a pair of Sennheiser PX100 for portable use, a pair of Sony MDR-7506 for studio monitoring, and just got a pair of these for home listening.

Wow. I'm noticing things that I didn't notice with either of the others that I use.

I first listened to these with an iPod, which I thought resulted in some harsh mids, but I got used to it, and then I hooked it up to my PC which sounded way better.

All the hype is for real. Unless you're a hardcore audiophile, these will surprise you over and over again as you go through your music library.

  4. The finest set of headphones I will ever have... great price point. They hold their value so well that it is almost impossible to find anything cheaper on eB.y. Used ones often sell for more than you can get them for retail!

I've made at least four converts (mom, brother, two buddies, and counting).... the headphones are non-fatiguing for me and I have worn them for 10+ hours at a stretch (you're right, I shouldn't be sitting at the computer for that long). I used to forget they were on and would nearly trip over myself getting up and walking away from the desk. There were times I started to hunt around my desk looking for them, not realizing I already had them on. I'm not a dummy, they're just that good ;)

  5. Like rock? Punchy sound? Sufficient volume? A cheap price? Enjoyable, high quality sound?

So you bought an IPOD. Or your IPOD buds are worn out. You want something better but don't want to break the bank. Phones that don't cost as much (or more!) than your IPOD. Phones made in the USA. Indeed, Brooklyn!

When you buy an IPOD the first thing to do is to get better headphones than those that come with the unit. This isn't as hard as it should be to do.

Still picking out a headphone is subjective and personal. You can buy Bose headphones (any) and get ripped off. You can be smarter and get relatively fancy Shure SE210s but they run $149 or so. Moreover, compressed music often contains artifacts and IEMs (canals) will pick them up. That is, bass, or even vocals, can sound really bad on compressed music. (Say, 80s rock or new pop.) The same is true of top notch IEMs such as the SE530s. (If you use Apple Lossless to upload and a line-out for your IPOD, and a headphone amp) these might create a pretty good sound. Of course, the IPOD is no longer very portable and you have just have dropped at least $600 (excluding the cost of the IPOD). And comfort, or lack thereof, may be an issue.

OK, portability isn't an issue. You're going to listen at home. Sennheiser (and 20 other companies) make some pretty good headphones in the $300 range --- maybe the 650s if you're lucky. These are full sized. But you really need that headphone amp now or you won't hear anything out of your IPOD at all --- at least nothing good. You need a headphone amp to drive most expensive cans. And you might need a more powerful amp (read more expensive and larger; perhaps even one that needs to be plugged in) than that required for IEMs. But you insist on the best and can't see your big rig when sitting on your couch in the dark. Fine.

just remember you can get 90% of the same sound quality from the $69 Grados. Without a headphone amp. Without a line-out. The Grados might not be as accurate but they just might be punchier and more fun to listen too. They're also smaller.

OK, nothing is perfect. Comfort and looks are not strong points. But the Sennheisers don't look so good on you either. You get tired of the Grados or want to trade up (it's a contagious illness --- you're a H.I.S. --- Headphone Idiot Savant --- actually that's a good thing to be). Or you turn out to be an audiophile (rip up those credit cards!). Worst case, you're out $69. And you now know music from an IPOD can sound good and be fun to listen to. Unlike those who only use the Apple buds or have "invested" in Bose rip-offs (sound canceling or not).

Seriously, it's a very nice step up from the Apple buds and, if you want something even better after a while, there's a giant cottage industry of IPOD/headphone companies ready to charge you 500% of what the Grado's cost and sound 10% better.

    Have fun! Buy American!

  1. This is a great computer travel bag. The handle is tall (great for me as a tall person) and there is a little thing in the back that allows you to slip the bag over larger suitcase handles, or motor-scooter/motorcycle luggage racks. The cushion REALLY protects your computer and there are so many pockets, there is room for any documents you may be carrying.
My only complaint: I was able to stuff this thing so full that it would not fit into the overhead bins. The case can get quite "fat," which makes it almost impossible to carry.

The wheels are quite sturdy, but if you decide to wear this bag over your shoulder, they rub against your body, uncomfortably.

So, I would say this is a great travel bag, but not a great "everyday" computer bag--it's just too bulky and heavy to carry around for normal use.

  2. If you are a teacher, do yourself a favor and buy this bag. I teach adult education. I eventually grew tired of lugging all my stuff in a heavy briefcase that lacked organization pockets and the room to fit all that I wanted to carry. Then I found this bag. It is now become my office on wheels. It has blimped out with all the things I have stuffed into it, yet it still has room for more.

Occassionally the water bottle in the water bottle holster will snag as I round a tight corner. I curse but then I roll on merrily, knowing it is not the bag's fault.

A co-worker had seen me with my new bag and had asked me about its merits. Now he, too, walks around smiling with a Contour Roller Carrying Case.
