  1. I have two friends who already had this product and I just had to have it. We use it for music on the golf course. Great way to relax while playing golf. The sound is unbelievable, the unit is easy to set up and easy to transport. There are two draw backs. I wish it came with a remote control. I have a newer nano and it does not fit well in the dock. If I put it in the converter dock then I cannot use the play button on my nano. Bad design in that sense. If you want a great sounding unit though, this is it.

  2. This product performs well. I use it to listen to music while driving a city bus. It is rugged and protects my iPod as well. The sound is very nice. I've also been using it on my back porch when I have friends over as well and it's just perfect for producing background music and providing atmosphere.

  3. I love this unit. It has great sound for such small speakers and it is great for outdoor gatherings. Two friends ordered this system after hearing mine.

  4. I have one of my own and purchased another for my daughter. Has a wonderful clear sound. Is a great product!

  5. The sound quality on this Ipod player is decent. The bass is a little flat but it's hard to expect more from something so small. The portability is great. Plugs into the wall to charge, uses C batteries when you can't plug in. Ruggedly built. Seems like it can hold up to some abuse.

Overall, for the price it's not bad. I'm happy with it.

5 comments about Sennheiser PXC 300 Noise Cancelling Headphones.
  1. This is my first purchase of noise canceling headphones, but the need was urgent as I sit next to a very loud colleague and in-ear headphones weren't cutting it. I find that with the item turned on, the music is a bit louder (though I like having the option of playing music with it) and the a/c or heat sound disappear (not that it ever bothered me) and all you can hear is your music. I still hear the loud cackling laughter occasionally, but overall, I'm able to hear my music without distraction. Even on the airplanes I don't hear the crying babies or people talking since the over-ear cups around to keep all the music in and all the noise out.

I was afraid of the pinching as I was always accustomed to wearing in-ear buds prior to this, but I don't find it painful at all, even after an 8-hour day.

The only negative, which I believe must happen with most noise-canceling devices, is that I occasionally feel pressure building in my head. I'm not sure why this is, but I'd read it before I purchased them, and even though I'm prone to severe migraines, I decided to risk it. I'm glad I did. The migraines have never been triggered, just occasionally and pressure in my head, but again, that's remedied by turning off the noise-canceling feature, and I still feel I hear the music better than with the ear buds.

  2. I used these in a noisy cubicle environment and was very impressed at how it blocked out people's voices and ambient noise. They don't quite cover your entire ear but pretty close. The cords are nice and sturdy which was great (the Panasonic noise-canceling earbuds i got had very flimsy cords which caused a wiring malfunction).

BUT. After 1 month of daily use and being very ginger with my $220 purchase, I turned on the noise canceling one day and there was a loud, and eventually tortuous, static sound coming from one headphone. With the feature turned off it didn't happen. I returned them hoping for a replacement but I got a refund instead. I may try the similar PXC 250's which were very highly ranked by Consumer Reports. I'm keeping all the original packaging and invoice just in case!!!

  3. A great, lightweight NC headset. I do a lot of traveling in all types of airplanes, and the 300s keep the noise out while providing excellent sound reproduction. In a jet airliner, the overall effect is terrific. In a turboprop, it is a godsend. The unique folding feature makes the included zipper pouch easy to store. I also like the airliner dual plug adapter, in case I want to watch what's on the airplane's entertainment system.

  4. Very high performance noise canceling headphones without the bulk. Fairly comfortable to wear even while sleeping.

  5. This was my first set of noise-cancelling headphones, and I must say, the difference is astounding. Yes, the sound is good - yes, they're portable - yes, they have use-extending adapters, but the real difference is how you feel when you get off the plane.

I find myself much more relaxed, particularly after a long flight, when using these headphones. I've forgotten to bring them along on occasion, and the difference is significant.

I admit to using guinea pigs - I bought them as gifts to clients before buying one for myself. One client reported to me that he already owned a much more expensive set of Bose noise-reducing headphones, but preferred these Sennheisers.

I bought one for myself, and one for my wife. We love them, and leave them on every possible moment on the aircraft.

One tip - make sure you locate the "L" and "R" designations for the correct ear, as putting them on wrong can lead to sore ears.

5 comments about Etymotic ER-4P Portable In-Ear Earphones.
  1. The 4Ps produce outstanding sound clarity and are far better than the other Etymotic headphones. To the contrary of some of the other reviews, I love them in the gym which is where I have the most opportunity to use my headphones. Occansionally, I would use my Boise Quietcomfort 2 headphones on the ellipitical because I found the sound to be superior to the 6 and 6i headphones from Etymotic. Now, I find myself using the 4Ps all the time in the gym. The sound to me is just amazing. I am hearing nusances in the music better and the sound separation is more distinct in the right and left channels. I was concerned about the noise from the cord based on other reviews and found the 4Ps to be similar to the other Etymotics. Of course, if you block outside sounds from your ear, you will start to hear more sounds traveling from your jaw bone, mouth, etc. but I did not find the cord a big source of sound distraction. The cord is heavy duty compared to the 6 and 6i. The noise comes from the cord above the Y split. For runners, I can see the cord noise would be a bigger issue. Others have complained about the bass because it does require a tight fit in the ear. I did find this to be a problem especially when lifting with my previous Etymotics. I found myself re-inserting the earplugs after lifts to get the seal back. After doing this for 6 months, I broke down and invested in custom ear molds that are fitted to the Etymotics. A great investment that I do not regret. If decide to do this, you might want to call around since I found some price variation from hearing aid dealers or audiologists. I also learned the hard way to store my Etymotics and ear molds in a case after using them and not let them hang from the shirt clip since I lost one this way. The bass is great with a good seal and comfort is outstanding since guess what -- the mold is customized to your ear canel and in my case, I have small ear canels. A side benefit of ear molds that I found is that I went thru fewer filters since there is a gap between the tip of the ear mold and the filter so ear wax gets trapped in this space before it clogs the filter if you clean and squeeze the ear mold to get the wax out. Another issue in previous reviews was that the Etymotics were black which is true but the pair that I got had a red dot on the right channel. The Etymotics web site has been great for ordering extra filters. The other Etymotics I have have worked well for several years so I am looking forward to years of good use with the 4Ps.

  2. Everything good to say about these 'phones has already been said, and there really isn't much more to say.
These are stellar and absolutely worth every penny and more.
I just wanted to add that there are a number of options to make these even better, which might give some even more incentive to buy them.
One is that there are readily available recable options [...] for these. This will increase SQ even more and will also increase bass response, which is always welcome on Etys.
Another option is the Shure Black Foam Sleeves. They fit perfectly on the ER-4 IEMs and will make your listening experience even better than it already is. They are more comfortable, since you will not have to push the 'phones as far in your ear as with the rubber sleeves that come with them and they also create a perfect seal which is so very important for the Etys to sound right.
Also think about purchasing a portable amp and a 75 Ohm impedance adapter (which will bring the ER-4P to ER-4S specs). The ER-4 really shine like a beacon in the night with a good amp.

  3. I've had these a couple of years, and am generally pleased with the sound quality. I use these most frequently on an airplane, replacing the excellent but much bulkier Bose QC2 headphones I used to use. Occasionally use at the office, which helps to drown out neighboring conversations. I use the Etymotics exclusively with the foam ear adapters, as I could never get the soft rubber ear adapters to fit my ears properly.

I recently got a chance to preview the Shure SE530's, and found those to be stunningly good sonically, although at a signficantly higher price point. The Shure 530's are also a bit bulkier, but well designed from an ergonomic / looks point of view.

Needless to say, all of the above selections (Etymotic ER-4P, Bose QC2, Shure SE530) are vastly superior to the stock earphones that come with your mp3 player.

My bottom line: pick a price point, and visit some bricks and morter stores that allow you to try them in-ear before purchasing. Top of the line earphones (or headphones) are worth it, but the variation in style and fit make it essential to try them on for size, in-ear fit, looks, sound, and anything that annoys the end user. Don't rush into a $300 set of phones.

  4. I had a old pair of these before they were stolen. these are good ear phones. I went through 3 pairs for $39.99 head phones that lasted only 6 weeks at a time (skull candys) Those are some trash. But These are really good. If you get a clip or 2 for the wire you can run with these easy. Or get a cheap pair for work outs so you don't ruin the good pair. I am giving these 4 stars and not 5 because. They changed the blue tip and red tip to all black. and the stock ends are gray not white but I think I can order the white ones no biggie. Other then that THESE are GREAT. 2 year warrenty. SWEET.

  5. These earphones are very accurate and smooth. At times they can sound clinical. I know that this particular model is not supposed to require a headphone amplifier, but it is my opinion that a headphone amplifier really makes a positive difference with these earphones. They continue to sound very accurate, but they have greater bass presence. They still do not have an overly bassy sound like those wretched Bose earphones, but they do sound a touch warmer.

Fit on earphones is absolutely essential. you must have a seal or they just do not perform. Due to the design of the earpieces, they insert deeply into the ear, but not enough to physically damage the innerds of your ear. It does take some getting used to, but it absolutely worth it.

The packaging is really quite nice. I like the fact that they come in a plastic case that is really sturdy. I always put them back in the full case (okay, I am anal), but the package comes with a small traveling case that would fit in a pocket.

Don't be concerned that the headphone amplifier takes to much space. I have a small headphone amplifier that fits with my Ipod Classic (both the 60 gig and 160 gig models)in the breast pocket of a standard Oxford cloth or broadcloth dress shirt (yes it looks nerdy). If the music starts to sound crackly using the headphone amplifier and that crackle is not normally there, it usually means that the headphone amplifier needs a new battery or needs to be recharged.

All in all, I cannot say enough good things about the Etymotic ER4 P and the ER4 S (I have them both)as long as they are supplemented with a headphone amplifier.

5 comments about Sabrent SBT-PS2U USB to Dual 2-Port PS/2 Splitter Cable Converter.
  1. I wanted to use my nice Gateway keyboard, with a PS2 plug, with my Dell desktop, with only USB ports. I hooked the two devices up with the Sabrent PS2 / USB adaptor, booted up the Dell, and immediately got WinXP recognizing a `new device'. My first few keystrokes with MS Word were a bit odd, showing up in purple font, but then they turned to black and from then on, all was good.

I did have trouble with the PS2 attachment working loose when shoving my PC back into its slot under my desk, with all the other wires and cables dangling from the back of my desktop tangling up and pulling one way or the other. So if you try the adaptor out and it's not working well, make sure you've got it securely attached to either port.

  2. I spend a lot of time at Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples looking for things that I want to buy. When I find something that I want, I take down the name of the product, and buy a similar product on Amazon. I do this because I like to see what I'm buying before I buy it, and Amazon offers lower prices than the stores.

Case in point, a similar item sells for $20 at Office Max and $30 at Staples, sells for $6 on Amazon.

The USB to PS/2 converter works like a charm for my Microsoft Ergonomic PS/2 Keyboard. I don't have any problems with it. I have a Compaq laptop that runs on Windows Vista Business.

  3. I liked my old PS/2 keyboard, but it wouldn't connect to my desktop-replacement 17" Dell laptop. So I turned to this adapter cable. I only needed one of the PS/2 connections. Good thing, because the other one is evidently not working properly. It works ok at first and then at least one key (not always the same one) will fail to work until the keyboard is disconnected then reconnected. Short story is that it got the job done less expensively than a new keyboard.

  4. After purchasing this item, I found I could not get my computer to recognize it. There are no drivers available for it, and after some research, I found this was a common problem with this item. I also tried it on my father's computer, with no luck.

  5. My laptop (Dell Latitude D500) recognized and installed this device but in 30 sec. the device stopped respond.
    The cable looks VERY cheap.
    ..........
Next day before returning the item I decided to check it one more time ... and it worked!
Checked the device with other machines - everything is fine. VERY, VERY strange...

  1. paid less than $5 for this cable and get an awesome picture. I just can not justify the money for a monster cable. I can not imagine a better picture than I am getting now. Save the money and go with something like this and put that extra money into DVD's...up-convert DVD player..anything.. This is my second cable from thie co and both work great.

  2. digital is digital, no reason to pay more for a moster cable. works great...if fact i have 5 of theses

  3. I'm so glad I didn't go out and spend the 50 bucks on one at the store. My husband ragged on me about it until we got and it was just as good as the pricey ones and it works just as good.

  4. This order totaled $8.40 but the shipping was $24.90 for standard USPS (U.S. Mail) shipping. You may save money on the cable but they will get you on the shipping.

It is a good thing that I did not request overnight or express shipping.

Save your money and go to a local store!

  5. This cable works well and the shipping was quick. No need to spend all that $$ on a more expensive HDMI cable.

  1. I had given up on finding replacement pads for my Swiffer "Max". Walmart, Target, none of the big-box stores carried them any longer. Found them here and got a great price.

  2. I love how fast I received this item. The x-tra large size is hard to find now , and it really takes a lot less time in a large room to sweep the floor!

    STacy

  3. I have a dog who sheds a lot and use the swiffer sweeper XL on my wood floors because of its good ability to trap pet hair, and fine dirt and dust particles. It works well for every day quick cleanings or as a prep before using a wet cleaner/polish.

Amazon's price on these refills is better than what I've seen elsewhere and you can set up a recurring delivery at a discount. Great service!

  4. The price of the 3 pack is excellent. One 16 ct box sells at Jewel for $9.

  5. Great for a quick dusting all around my wood floors. Not a cleaner, but it really picks up the dust! Use as a dust cloth to dust shutters or anything else, it really picks up the dust!!!!!!!!

5 comments about Belkin F8V235-07GLD-AP 7-Foot Stereo Link Cable for iPod.
  1. Wonderful sound! No need to buy Bose SoundDock nor the pricey Monster cable if you purchase this. Works great and connects any Ipod to your home stereo or Bose Wave radio. Would highly recommend!

  2. Does exactly what it says it does. Easy to use and good sound quality. Very economical and a good alternative to the docking station.

  3. I ordered these to play my Ipod on my Sony Stereo system. Also to plug my Vizio HD into my stereo, and they work great.

My Stereo has L & R audio in, and the signal comes in crystal clear. No buzzing. Same for when I use the headphone jack from my TV.

The cables themselves are sturdy, and plenty long enough at 7 Feet.

    Good price too!

  4. The problem with iPods is they make you fall so in love with them, you keep buying accessories to spoil them with (cases, docks, headphones, speakers, etc).

I've had these for 2 years, use them with my dock to connect my iPod to stereos for a bigger sound. I'm not really into tech jargon, so I'm not going to go into things like "conductivity", "electromagnetism" and the like. All I'll say is, the sound is really crisp and clear, as good (in my opinion, I'll bet audiophiles will beg to differ) as listening to a CD, and that's good enough for me.

They look pretty cool too, the snow white cables looking very Apple-like. Take these along with your iPod, and you'll become resident DJ anywhere.

  5. Music doesn't seem quite as great as playing a CD directly, but at this price, the cable does a great job. In terms of looks, it looks like it should be more expensive - but it's not.

  1. this little charging station looks as nice in person as in the description/photo. It helps clear up some clutter and is a nice addition to the desktop

  2. I love the concept of the Charging Valet. There is only room for two items to plug into the 4 plug power strip due to the bulky nature of most electronic gadgit recharging plugs. I would suggest buying some adapters so that you can plug more then the 2 items in at a time.

  3. As the first reviewer has pointed out, the mini-power strip can only hold two of those block style plugs. However, I love the look of my new black charging valet station. It's got a handy little drawer and hides all those messy looking cords. All in all, it's a stylish way to charge my Blackberry and mp3 player, and it makes my counter look less cluttered.

  4. The power strip is standard and therefore only two units could be plugged in. They should provide a custom powerstrip with wide spaces (does anyone make this? someone should!)
Otherwise the product is of nice quality and function.

  5. Spotted this and knew it was just what we needed for our cluttered table. The integrated power strip had a cord long enough to reach the outlet at floor-level in our old house. It only has four outlets, and we can only plug in two chargers because of their design, unfortunately. However, the drawer and top tray keep everything organized and accessible.

  1. i have used it many times so far, and my computor still work :) so it is safe to say that this product is good

  2. The strap works as advertised. I've had several jobs replacing PC and laptop components and didn't have any issues with static. The only problem in my opinion is the length of the wire. It would be nice if it was at least 4-foot long.

  3. It does it's job AND it's cheap! I've used mine alot since about the start of May. It's June 30th as of my typing this. No funky smell from my wrist sweating yet either. That's the biggest bonus. lol

  4. I used to just work on my computer without any protection at all but since I saw a couple of reviews about static I just started using it just in case. Why take the risk right!!

  5. It seems to work fine, clips strongly to wrist strap so i'm not worried about it falling off. Worth the low price

  1. This bag works fine for my large and heavy Dell XPS M1730 (16"x12"x2.25"), with just enough room for the power supply (which is large, 4"x8"x1.75"), cables and a mouse. It's also quite solidly constructed, with many little pouches, pockets and partitions that I don't use.

  2. I've had this backpack for almost 4 years now, and it's still as sturdy as it was when I first bought it. This is definitely a recommendable backpack, however I kind of wished I had gotten a swiss army one, for those seem to be the superior backpacks. This Targus backpack competes with the swiss army ones though - it has a lot of pockets, including one on the strap for your cell phone, the straps are comfortable, and the handle is sturdy. The biggest compartment has a nice pouch for your notebook, and a small pouch for cds, keys, etc. The next biggest compartment has a divider for books, folders, and papers. The next biggest compartment has a mesh elastic pouch, which I use for clothes. I've used the buckle pouch for shoes before, which is nice. Overall, this backpack isn't bad, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a dependable, comfortable, efficient backpack for your computer and traveling needs.

  3. This laptop case is great, the only thing that I don't like is it's not padded between the laptop at the bottom and the floor, so if you drop it your notebook will be a goner. My old Targus had rubber padding on the bottom, but I had to get rid of it because there was no room for my stuff (I have a Pavilion DV9420 and the top of it is very sensitive and I didn't want the accessories scratching it in that design). I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for that lack of padding.

  4. I am a student, so I needed a bag that would carry my comp and some books, with some nice pockets for all my 'necessary' accessories- this bag is great for all these things, and it looks nice, too. Great buy!

  5. I am unsure why Amazon has decided to post reviews for multiple products under one item, so please note thie review is for the CityGear Los Angeles Notebook Case.

The product description says that this case fits 'up to a 17"' screen. This created some angst for me as I have had trouble finding a case big enough for my Dell Inspirion 9300 17" widescreen laptop. But, I took the plunge - after looking everywhere in my town.

When the case arrived I tried to put my laptop in it and was amazed that not only did it fit, there was still room left over! There is a pad inside the laptop compartment that allows you to fit it to the right size of your notebook to prevent sliding around. But, I was really surprised with the amount of room.

Being someone that has lots of 'stuff' I needed a case with not only places for documents and books, but for other accessories as well. This case does not disappoint. There are compartments for pens/pencils, CDs/DVDs, a seperate pouch for your cord, mouse, etc, an 8 disc CD case, a key clip, a separate cell phone pouch, and many more. If you are in need of places to put things yu will be hard pressed to fill this case up.

The construction is nice as well. All higher quality materials. Even the actual laptop compartment, the zippers have double eye loops so if you have a luggage lock you can lock it. The strap has enough padding so that it doesn't bite into your shoulder, but not too much to where it feels bulky.

All in all this is the perfect case for me and is exactly what I was looking for. I can't say enough good things about it. A top notch product and cheaper that the lesser quality cases I found in the local stores.
