5 comments about Logitech mm50 Portable Speaker System for iPod (White).
  1. It sounds like an expensive system and looks great. Other IPOD portable speakers I considered buying sounded tinny and looked and felt like cheap light plastic. Not so with this speaker system. The quality is a real nice surprise that I can enjoy anywhere, everyday.

  2. Great design with excellent sound. I was very pleased with the performance and the great price.

  3. I am happy with the selection. I brought these for my cubicle at work. The sound is great in this environment. At times my co-workers ask me to pump up the volume and I still get quality sound. However, don't expect to use these for a party.

  4. Awesome speakers, the sound is superb!! there is a lot of bass and it can get very loud and still retain great sound quality. only con is that the remote doesn't work so great but oh well.

    definitely recommend this

  5. I wanted people to be aware of the problems I faced with the set, so quickly and succinctly, here you go:

These speakers are amazing. They aren't enough to fill a large room with rockin' bass, but that same room was more-than-adequately serenaded to sleep on more than one night. What I also like about them is that the fidelity is good even on low volume, presupposing you have good quality mp3s.

They are small, light, and compact, easily fitting into a carry-on suitcase, and run off batteries, as it has been noted previously.

My problems begin there: the battery is internal and the user is unable to change them out. This wouldn't be a problem if the set performed as expected. But I've heard from other users that sets have had to be returned due to under-performing battery packs. Mine are temperamental. Sometimes I'll make it through a full 6-hour shift on the batteries and other times they'll conk out after 2 hours (after indicator light shows full charge). My co-worker has the same set and has zero problems with the battery pack.

The second problem is the remote, which stopped working after about 6 months, several months too late to return the system.

The last issue I have is the sensitivity of the volume buttons. It's a nitpicky issue, I realize, but as a massage therapist, it's nice to just be able to easily change the volume up or down without having to worry about accidentally blasting your client if you press too hard, or dropping it down too low for the same reason. The average user will not have to worry about this.

All in all, I do like this system quite a lot, but be aware of the possible malfunctions so that you can return it in time should you note them with yours.

5 comments about Bose UFS-20 Universal Floor Stands (pair) - Black.
  1. If you have a Bose 5 theater speaker system these may be the best speaker stands for your system. Perfect height with no obstructions and wires are hidden which is big plus.

  2. I haven't had any problems with these (but then what sort of problems does one have with slabs of metal?) but the price is about 10 times higher than what it's worth.

  3. ...I'm only giving them a 3-Star Rating. No one else has mentioned my particular issue ~ actually I have quite the OPPOSITE problem of one of the other 3-Star Rating reviewers! I don't have Bose Speaker Cable, rather I have a Sony system and use the accompanying Sony Speaker Cable which is pretty thin. That being the case, my wire will NOT stay in the slot intended to conceal the wire. Although these are "Universal Stands", the slit in the stand is mostlikely made for wider wire ~ the Sony wire I have is just too thin to stay in there at ALL. I had originally wanted to use heavier cable but because of those proprietary OEM Clips/Plugs that Sony puts on the ends of their wires I wasn't able to easily swap out the Sony wire. So I can line the wire up but it will not stay in there without help, especially at the top where it angles back. I love the angled neck and how thin and graceful they are in comparison to other "clunkier" stands so I opted to keep them but I've had to use black electrical tape along the entire length of the pole to keep the wire in place. Granted you cannot SEE the tape, but in my opinion I spent waaaaaaaayyyyyy too much money to use tape. If I had it to do all over again, in MY case (or in YOUR case if your wires are thinner) you might want to opt for cheaper stands with an open pole (like the Atlantic ones) rather than stands with a slot to conceal the wires. That completely enclosed pole would made all the difference in the world.

  4. Very poor, weak design. For Bose owners these are a rip-off. Bose was so intent that these stands only work with there one little speaker they broke good design practice by using very small mounting screws with practically no edge distance. So if your speaker ever turns over with Bose little boxes on it you can expect a broker unrepairable stand. Being a design engineer I was able to foil there efforts by carefully oversizing the holes to take a normal screw and adding a second screw into my speaker case at the bottom. It looks great with my Gigaworks THX speakers and is much stronger the what Bose sold people. Bose only provided the one undersized screw and a tiny plastic nub at the bottom which is supposed to barely hole the speaker straight. My speakers are now mounted much stronger than Bose's and look a sound a lot better. I will be adding pictures of these.

One important note is that these speaker stands are advertised as 'universal' when in fact they are designed to only work with one Bose speaker, the small cube. I would have rated as one star but since I was able to mount my speaker even better than they intended, I will give them 2 stars for their bad effort a bad engineering.

  5. Great stands. They are exactly what I ordered and look and perform as advertised. good price too.

5 comments about Sony MDR-XD200 Stereo Headphones.
  1. I bought this headphone last week. I was really excited to see a Sony muffler headphone so cheap. I have worked in professional studio in past and I know what a great quality headphone sounds like, obviously it would be dumb of me to compare it with such a headphone, BUT before i bought these headphones i was using headphones by "Cyber Acoustics" which probably cost $ 15 aprox, and honestly they have a better sound, a little more comfortable as well. I have no idea why the button for movie and music is there it doesn't change the frequencies a bit.
Some people mentioned trouble using it with glasses, i wear glasses but there was not so much of trouble, a little more pressed but not uncomfortable. I wore it for 5 hours, but it's comfortable till 1-2 hours.

    Pros:
    1) Profesional look
    2) Long Cable

    Cons:
    1) Sound Quality not worth $ 25
    2) You can hear the outer environment easily even when the headphone is properly worn and songs playing on it.

  2. I was looking for comfortable inexpensive headphones and these fit the bill perfectly. While I am sure it will get many bad reviews from Audiophiles out there that any under $500.00 set of headphones would. For me these did the thing for those rare times I needed to keep the audio from my computer from grating those others in my house that didn't want to share what I was listening to. I have worn them for hours and after time forgot they were there, very comfortable and good sound reproduction while at the same time blocking out the jet engine that is the noise my computer makes. When my Katz have chewed through to many breaks in the cord to repair I will look to replace these headphones with the same model.

  3. Thought i had a big head till i put these on and looked in the mirror. These things are enormous! But i like them, not heavy at all and comfortable. So far the sound is good. I can get really clear low bass tones. The 10' cord is a big plus but I think the "sound mode" function is worthless. Didn't notice any kind of difference between movie and music. Thats ok cause i didn't buy it for that purpose anyhow. They're good headphones at a great price and im pleased.

  4. Sound quality is good, but I find the fit on my oval-shaped head is uncomfortable. The span of the headband seems designed for the more brachycephalic. If you are an egghead, or a "pointy-headed intellectual" (as Joe McCarthy used to rave), these might not fit so well.

  5. I was looking specifically for over-head headphones to help dampen the noise in the environment I work. Unfortunately, this don't do much at all to dampen outside noise. They have decent sound, but it can only be appreciated in a quiet environment.

5 comments about Altec Lansing T612 Digital Speaker for iPod and iPhone (Black).
  1. I have owned several Altec Lansing speaker systems over the year for my iPods...this one is especially designed for the iPhone (and the only one on the market so far).

The sound is clear, rich, and you can crank up the volume quite loudly before you get interference. The sound fills my entire house beautifully.

This is basically plug and play -- plug it in, put in your iPHone or iPod, and play away.

It charges your iPod/iPhone while playing or while in its dock, even when not playing. It does not sync to your computer. It also does not serve as a speakerphone system - you do need to pick up your iPhone to speak into it. When you put it back it the dock, though, it remembers where you were and resumes playing.

It does what it says it will do -- and it is shielded from GSM signal interference, so you do not have to put your iPhone into Airplane Mode, which you must do with any other speaker system on the market currently - that is a plus.

The 199.00 is either cheap for this type of system, or too expensive, depending on your view of things. It is probably overpriced by about 50.00, but you really have no other choice if you want a shielded speaker system for your iPhone.

    Recommended.

  2. I cant review this item because it has been out of stock since the end of April. So, I cancelled it. Sorry.

  3. This is only docking/speaker product explicitly designed for iPhone that is currently available. It has great sound, good user controls, and is still compact for portability. No trace of interference from the iPhone but the docking action is not very tight and I have to place a foam rubber spacer behind the iPhone to get a reliable connection. As long as you remember to use such a spacer the unit rocks.

When a call comes in on the iPhone the unit pauses but you have to remove the iPhone from the unit to take the call. When finished just return the iPhone to the dock (with foam rubbedr spacer) and the music resumes.

  4. This is my first Altec Lansing purchase. It's also my first docking station purchase for my iPhone because it's the only shielded device avaialable (as of the time I'm typing this).

Set up was a breeze, the iPhone sits perfectly in the cradle even with the extra large cork case I have on it. The best part!? There's absolutely NO dit-a-dit-a-dit-a-dit-dit-dit interference noise when I receive calls or texts while the phone is docked! The sound quality is great, even at very, very low volume levels. Unfortunately, I can't blast the sound while at work so I can't speak to full volume sound quality.

If I had to wish for something better, I would ask that the remote allow for more advanced menu/song selection. It only offers basic PWR, VOL +/-, BASS/TREBLE adjustment, TRACK +/- and play/pause. It would be nice to have a rotary style remote wherein I could browse other artists and playlists without having to touch the iPhone.

Other than that minor gripe, I'm much happier at work now that I have my iPhone and iPod playing at work and getting charged at the same time. This is a great product which I'm very pleased with!

  5. Though this product is advertised to work with the iphone, it does so with endless messages on the iphone itself that it is not compatable, while disconecting the speakers. It continues to ask me if I want to turn the calling feature off on the iphone to continue to use the speakers. I say no a few times and the message goes away. This will repeat the next time I try to get the iphone to connect properly to the system again.
It also does not rest properly on the bay and has to be pushed on to make a full sounding speaker connection.
The sound is great, and design, but he product if flawed.
The company says mine is defective and I am awaiting a new one from Amazon, which will not arrive for a month. I am unable to verify if the new one is the same, but have grave doubts.
I would suggest you choose another Iphone speaker option.

  1. I purchased this bag for a 10.2" DVD player and it fit in there fine with room to spare. It also has room for all the cords. I had purchased two other bags that fit DVD players up to 10" and had to return them because my DVD player didn't fit. This bag is great!

  2. I have a panasonic 8.5 inch screen, and it fits great into this case. Very sturdy case, with lots of room in it too!! And not big and bulky. I love it!

  3. This bag is very roomie except for getting DVDs in and out. Outwise this bag can't be beat.

  4. Perfect for carrying the Sony DVP-FX820 portable DVD player as well as other electronics, cables, headphones, etc.
The compartment for DVDs only opens up part way so it is a bit of a pain inserting and removing the DVDs (you have to take them out of their cases) but it securely holds a lot of disks. You might want to make a list of where you put the DVDs so you can find them on a dark train...

  5. This case is recommended by Amazon with the Toshiba SD-P101S 10-Inch Portable DVD Player. The DVD player DOES NOT fit into the case with the battery connected to the player. The case itself is nice, I wish they had a similar case but larger.

5 comments about Bose Tri-Port In-Earphones.
  1. Update: If I could go back I would change my star rating to 3 stars (***). Why? That's because I listened to the Shure SE530PTH Sound Isolating Earphones with Push-To-Hear Control. The Shure is almost 5 times as much, but is it worth it? Yes, if you consider you have the best earphones made. Consider the Shure SE530 as the Lexus of earphones. The Bose would be the Camry, and the phones that come with some of the MP3 players are the Ford Taurus.

My advice: Give up whatever you have to for a few weeks or months and get the Shure SE530 earphones. You won't regret it, and you will hear the music they way it was supposed to be heard.

Here is my revised review for the Bose earphones:

If you are going to spend $100 you expect great sound. Well, you get good, but not great, sound with these.

These are the first good earphones I've owned. Some reviews say the bass is too much. Based on some of the reviews, I was expecting it to be overwhelming, but to me it isn't. The earphones are very comfortable. I have a SanDisk Sansa e250 2 GB MP3 Player with microSD Expansion Slot (Black) and I found the earphones that came with it hurt my ears after 30 minutes or so. With these earphones you won't have that problem. However, it seems that with the good bass it affects the treble somehow, kind of muffles it. I'm no expert, but after listening to the Shure SE530, you will realize the astounding difference.

The product code for these Bose earphones is 044435; they have black and white cables, and come with a carrying case. Apparently, the old ones are all black. The fit with the medium silicon tips was just right for me, and if you get them inserted correctly they won't fall out. Some reviews say the tip doesn't go in the ear canal, but in my case it does, and if it didn't I think they would fall out easily. If they fall out, then you need to change the silicon tip (they come with extras) until you get the right fit.

  2. This has to be a product of the BOSE-interns, This is my first time being dissatisfied by BOSE and I own allot of Bose products. Whats wrong with this product is that if you are an active person going to use this at the gym DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT buy this earphones, most of my workout is spend trying to plug back into my ears with the free accessories provided by Bose it still doesn't help just frustrating. The sound quality is great but you wont be able to enjoy the sound as it falls out of your ear.

  3. So I have been using a standard ipod headphones since i've purchased my ipod touch in november and those are about par if not a bit less for what I expect for a $15 pair of headphones
long story short - they broke (the rubber came off around them and they just fell to crap)

So I priced a few headphones
    -apple standard buds $29? walmart
    -bose in earbuds $90 amazon
    -philips standard headphones $15

So I purchased the $15 headphones from phillips and the sound quality i found to be better than apples, but i couldn't block ANY sound when i would mow the lawn or do anything with sound so i returned them.
    I purchased the bose buds
I expected rediculous sound being that i paid 1/3 the cost of my ipod touch just to have these headphones.

    FINALLY-
The quality i found to be fuller and much more realistic than any other ear buds i've used. I have only had them a day but i have heard quite a few verses in songs that I had no idea what they were saying with my other buds and with these i could clearly hear what they were saying.
    the sound is deffinitly crisper.
But for the price these headphones just don't - BLOW my mind like many think they should for what they are charging for them.

(another pair of headphones i found to be similar to these are the stock ear buds that come with the samsung yp-k5, yet the quality and comfort come no where near the bose the sound quality is a bit closer than all others mention prior)

  4. These ear buds are as good as any other Bose product.
How they improve the clearity of the music is truly amazing !

  5. *****WARNING**** If you purchase this product (Bose Tri Port) make sure you purchase this product from a KNOWN SOURCE because if not, you will be buying a Knock Off (Fake) version of this product. Also ***WARNING*** If you buy any headphone set for 49.99 or 45.99 or even 63.99 (and there worth $250 or $150) They will be FAKE!!! like the Bang & Olufsen for 49.99 ***WARNING*** ANY Headphone/Earphone set that is %80 Less than the Original price New, Refurbished or Open Box, they will be fake UNLESS there backed by a Real Manufacturer Warranty or Of course %100 money back guarantee! **** WARNING**** DONT BE FOOLED There are some FAKE BOSE TRI PORTS out there GOOD LUCK!

  1. I liked my old PS/2 keyboard, but it wouldn't connect to my desktop-replacement 17" Dell laptop. So I turned to this adapter cable. I only needed one of the PS/2 connections. Good thing, because the other one is evidently not working properly. It works ok at first and then at least one key (not always the same one) will fail to work until the keyboard is disconnected then reconnected. Short story is that it got the job done less expensively than a new keyboard.

  2. After purchasing this item, I found I could not get my computer to recognize it. There are no drivers available for it, and after some research, I found this was a common problem with this item. I also tried it on my father's computer, with no luck.

  3. My laptop (Dell Latitude D500) recognized and installed this device but in 30 sec. the device stopped respond.
    The cable looks VERY cheap.
    ..........
Next day before returning the item I decided to check it one more time ... and it worked!
Checked the device with other machines - everything is fine. VERY, VERY strange...

  4. It may be that this works with some computers and not with others. I have a ps2 mouse and keyboard hooked up to my dell that only accepts USB inputs. Plugged it in and it was ready to go. Have had it for a few days, no problems, and with a price like this, how can I not then give it five stars.

  5. Some people seem to be able to get this product to work on their computers, but I was unable to get any of several computers with Windows XP to recognize a Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite.

If you can get it to work for you, it's a great deal at only a few dollars. Otherwise, be prepared to return it to Amazon.

  1. These cases protect disks and produce minimum stress on DVD hub. The fact that they are tranparent makes it easy to find titles without having to open the case. They do allow for a cover sleeve if you want to use one. I think they are more likely to last longer without the cracking of jewel cases.

  2. I produced and Market my DVD Bedrest Fitness and use the Slim DVD cases to package them. They are pretty durable and because they are clear, I can pop the DVD in (which has a pretty graphic label) and don't need any other artwork for the product. Also, the plastic sleeves on the covers enable me to tuck fitness bands in so that shipping is easy and efficient.

  3. These covers take up less space and are clear so you can see the DVD. If you have an open cabinet it looks really neat.

  4. These are great, take up hardly any space in comparison, and are pretty durable. You can insert a cover image, and there are tabs for a flysheet inside. The one downside is that each case only holds one disc. I bought 75 and am completely satisfied. The service and shipping were great as well.

  5. I have been using these cases for years and have always been satisfied with them. If there was a problem it was that they didn't always hold the disc securely but Memorex has fixed that with a new improved spindle. 5 stars for quality and price.

  1. Fits the 3g perfectly. Comes with a plain back and a belt-clip back (single molded piece). The plastic is hard and I have to wonder if much pressure was put on the belt clip if it would just snap off the back too easily. One drawback to the perfect fit is that it's extremely difficult to snap closed if your iPod has a skin on it. After a bit of struggling I was able to get it closed and it appears to be secure but only time will tell. I'll keep mine clipped to my pocket with the iPod inside the pocket ;)

  2. good protection for the nano, includes a strap for a belt, i use this all the time!

  3. product sent was wrong, instead of the clear one, i got a black rubber one. bummer! now i can't see the green color of my ipod. grrrrr!

  4. The information says "see thru", but a BLACK rubber case came, was very disapointed as the point of getting an ipod with color was to give it to my wife and have the color match her new car. Well to put it in the case spoils the effect. She is DISAPOINTED.

  5. The picture of the clip looks great but then once you clip it onto the phone, the phone turns bulky. It's a good protector on one hand but it cracks easily.

  1. Be careful, if you want to protect the screen of your Ipod nano don't buy this product, only comes with protection for the ipod but not the screen.

  2. So far, I'm relatively pleased with this item. It fits the nano very well, and looks good to boot. It looks like it could scratch fairly easily, though, only time will tell.

Contrary to other reviews on this item, mine DOES have screen protection. The plastic that protects the screen is a bit recessed compared to the rest of the case. Perhaps that makes it hard to see. There is also access to the headphone jack via a small hinged door on the bottom of the case.

The only problem I've encountered is that with the door flipped open, the Nano will not fit on my Ipod dock.

Overall, a great deal for the price.

  3. I'd suggest going elsewhere. First, it doesn't protect the screen. Second, it sometimes doesn't like to close. Third, it won't fit a majority of docks, FM transmitters, or anything that needs a solid even bottom to fit. Taking it out to listen to it defeats the purpose.

  4. This is perfect! It fits my ipod without making it bulky. It protects the screen and it has openings for your headphones and to charge.

  5. Just got it today!
Was kinda hard to open but when i got it open my ipod fit perfectly!
It did cover the screen! For the price i am very happy with it! I would recommend it to anyone! And once the Ipod is in the case dont worry about it falling back out b/c i tried to take mine back out to look at the case more....and i couldnt open it back up! Which actually made me happier b/c now i know i dont have to worry about my ipod falling out of it! The shipping was excellent! I bought this and an FM Transmitter they came in the same box and they came in very quickly! I ordered them Tuesday and they came Friday morning! I am very pleased! Dont think twice just buy it! You'll love it!
