5 comments about M-edge Genuine Leather Executive Case for Amazon Kindle (Saddle Brown).
- This cover was a birthday present to myself. The cover that came with the Kindle is perfectly fine. This cover is even better, though. The corner holders are great, and I'm still not sure what people are complaining about with access to the switches on the back. It's perfect. The only thing that could be improved is the way the cover sits on the screen. There isn't any additional "padding" for the screen the way there is on the original cover. Well worth the sale price I paid.
- I own the red leather version of this cover and love it and even gave one as a gift to my sister-in-law and fellow Kindler. Being a 'fashionista', I decided I needed a change of dressing for my Kindle for Fall. I bought the saddle leather cover and am so pleased with it. There are things about it that I like even better than the red leather. The red leather is soft, smooth and shiny - really beautiful. The saddle is slightly textured and a more matte finish - very rich looking. The spine is stronger than the red one made out of softer leather and the whole thing seems more sturdy for everyday use. Aside from looks, the cover is well made and holds the Kindle so securely there is no worry of it falling out.
I will warn you that it is a little hard to get the Kindle in it at first but the leather softens up a little with use like a good leather shoe. The best way to get the Kindle in is to put it in the two bottom holders first and then lift the top left holder over the top left corner. (It's tight!) I recommend having your Kindle in Sleep mode or Off when doing this and don't press on the screen.
I love my M-edge covers and recommend them highly.
- I bought the red leather cover as a surprise for my wife (we both have Kindles, and love them!) and this one for myself, but -- unfortunately, I was the one surprised.
The stitching on this one is slightly better than on the red one (which is why this one has two stars intead of the one star I that that the red cover earned)but is still somewhat sloppy. Worse, like the red one, it has an odd smell. Instead of a rich aroma of leather, it emits an odor of cheap vinyl, and is actually rather offensive.
This, combined with the fact that I believe that it is overpriced by a factor of about two, I am very disappointed. I'm having a custom cover made by a leathersmith, and I've given this one to my dogs as a chew toy.
- I resisted buying this product for a very long time, but I finally succumbed. I am so glad I did! It is SO much better than the original cover. It holds the Kindle securely and is made of a nice leather. I ordered the red cover, too, because I wasn't sure which one I would like better. The saddle cover is a nicer leather (the red is a splotchy red while the saddle is a consistently textured tan). I'm keeping the saddle and sending the red one back!
- While I love my Kindle, I was always dissatisfied with the cover that comes with it. I had occasional problems with the Kindle coming loose - the notch sometimes just didn't seem to hold it in place. A friend told me about this cover, and I waffled for a while - I was hesitant to put out this much money for a cover.
But, now that I did, am I ever glad! It's such an improvement - it holds the Kindle securely, with no way that I can see that the Kindle could fall out of the cover. I saw a review where someone didn't like the way the cover folds back - I actually like this one better. It extends a little past the Kindle, giving you something to grab instead of accidentally pushing the page next button. And the leather strap can be bent backwards to hold the cover in place.

5 comments about Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphones.
- I have used these mostly for my Dell Axim X50v pocket pc.
Pros
-Cordless
-Descent sound
-Adjustable on the ear
-Lightweight
-Comes with a bluetooth adapter
-Very sturdy
-Great battery life
-Price
Cons
-Sound is a little off-sync with video
-Get a little uncomfortable on the ears after a while
-Can't plug in headphones to charge and listen through them at the same time.
-Can't move around a lot(eg mowing) or the sound cuts out a lot.
- These headphone sound awesome and I'm not comparing them to something like Sennheiser 595's or anything in that range. People buy headphones like these to listen to their mp3 player or ipod.
They are NOT MUDDY. Ignore statements like that. In fact, comparing them to Sennheiser 595's I still don't call them MUDDY since I own both and am actually impressed when I do a comparison.
These are by far the BEST wireless headphones I have heard. Rich full sound.
- It sounds fine. Battery life is okay.
Myy ears hurt after 15 minutes. I have to place earphones to a less soft part of my head, namely the skull area above the ears, and have the volume up so my ears can pick up the sound.
It's such a blatant design flaw, not a technical flaw but just as important to the listening experience.
- I purchased these to be used while traveling as well as around my house as I often have various news wires that I dont want to have blaring on speakers. I am now on my 5th, yes 5th, pair of these poorly constructed head phones and while the sound is adequate they continually stop working. I am not working out, running, or doing any motions which may seem aggressive so if that's your purpose then stay away. When traveling I have a backpack designed to carry photographic equipment into the field and the headphones have a small space designed for a lens, so needless to say its highly protected and padded. If you happen to have a glass box that can perpetually suspend these headphones in mid-air and only plan to listen to them while sitting in a bed of cotton balls then by all means purchase these. If you are looking for something that can withstand normal use, however, then keep on searching....
- I cannot stand to wear it more than 20 minutes. Not very ergonomic. Sound sometimes breaks up.

5 comments about iHome iH6 Clock Radio for iPod (White).
- This clock radio rocks!
It's used by a 10-yr.-old boy. Fits his original-era iPod Shuffle perfectly. Also works with an iPod Classic.
Sound quality is good, and it has a dual alarm as well as a sleep feature. You can control the illumination of the face, too. -This has made waking him up in the morning oh so much easier. However, note that you cannot wake up to Shuffle, only iPod or radio.
- This product comes with 400 plus parts and screws and it says right on the box assemblied already and easy to install but in fact it takes a good 2 hours and most of the parts that come with it are not needed. Then when we got it on the wall it did not in fact fit our TV but when i purchased it my size TV was suppose to be perfect for this wall mount. My husband was so frustrated and repacking this project to send it back will probably take another hour of our time. Not worth the price for sure!!
- I got one of these as a gift in November. It turned out to be defective. It took over 2 months to get a replacement - the new one just arrived today, so I haven't been able to use it yet. I would recommend that you buy this from a retail store so that you can more easily exchange it if you get a defective one like I did.
- So far, I really like this product. Pretty good sound and it's quite functional. The only complaint I have is that when we turn the volume down on the TV, the radio comes on. How do I stop this???
- Lived up to it's favorable reviews for around a yesr. Then no audio in any mode. 90 day warranty should be a warning. $30 repair charge plus shipping when out of warranty means go look for something new and hopefully more quality.

5 comments about Hot Link Pro Remote Control Booster System ( 8225P ).
- Setup was easy, instructions were ok. Even followed ad-on instructions on how to keep down interference from TV. Seems everyone else isn't having any problems but my Sharp 46 really puts out a lot of signals. Giving up on this item and having to get a different one.
- To all:
Thank you for your interest in this feedback forum for Hot Link Pro.
Following are some answers to the problems, questions, and suggestions that have appeared on this forum.
We make every effort to make certain clients can contact us with support questions. The web site and phone number are molded into the bottom of every unit. In the case of this forum we have yet to make contact with those who have had less than a stellar experience with Hot Link Pro.
Hiding the Eye:
We intend no holes to be drilled for the Eye to see through. There is a Velcro Kit and a screw tab for mounting the eye. This screw is meant for non-visible, internal surfaces, not the outside of a cabinet.
Hot Link Pro does not work "hidden behind a cabinet door", it works great behind a cabinet door "slot". It also works on the back of flat panel displays, behind speaker grills and cabinets. It does not need direct line of site. The Blue LED is separate from the Eye so that the Eye may be hidden while the LED may be mounted in a visible location.
Compatibility:
Hot Link Pro is the most compatible IR repeater available. Works with all IR remote controlled DVRs, Sat Boxes, DVD players, CD players, Xbox, etc. It works with all the new 58Khz carrier based gear like Scientific Atlanta 8300, the new AT and T VIP1200, Hughes, Motorola, HR20, etc. It even extends IR Keyboards and mice.
Only a few devices that use 455Khz carriers will not work. Some Kenwood high-end receivers and a couple of Sony high-end "ES" receivers. And a few older pioneer Elite Receivers.
Many professional installers prefer Hot Link Pro to multi-piece systems because it is broad band, works better with flat panel displays and does not need to be visible like other IR repeaters.
Reliability/Quality:
Hot Link models have been in the field for 15 years with extremely few failures. When something does go wrong, we repaired or replaced units for free. Even when the customer cut or removed or damaged parts. While Hot Link Pro will not work if an emitter is cut off, the warranty is not void if a client splices and extends the emitter for the purposes of running it to a ceiling mounted projector. (Usually with great success.) Total overall failure rate is less than 1/4%.
Rugged Design:
When the emitter wires peel apart they do not damage the wire. It is our specification that the wires not tear the insulation while being separated. Consider the alternative, 7 connectors which reduce reliability, and 7 individually bundled wire sets. The whole product uses about a ΒΌ of a watt, lowering the risk of damaged components from heat, over time.
Remove-ability of Emitters:
Emitters on Hot Link Pro apply with high-grade 3M thick clear tape that is easily removable and replaceable and does not harm plastics. Place thumb and finger on opposing side corners at the lower part of the tape and peel up emitter and tape together. Or push sideways to break adhesion. Using foam tape as suggested on this forum has 2 other consequences: Heat inside cabinets often causes these tapes to fail especially "removable" tapes. Also heat and age cause some foam tapes to stiffen making removal difficult, possibly scratching the surface of AV equipment. Much research has gone into the tape selected for Hot Link Pro. We offer free replacement tape on our site.
The plasma/LCD compatibility question:
Sometimes the "noise" causing the blue LED to stay on is from another source in the environment like a laptop LCD screen or compact high efficiency florescent lamp.
Hot Link Pro has worked with almost all plasma TVs with the known exception of 60 and 61 inch Plasmas and the Sharp Aquos 37 inch LCD NTSC model. Even though Hot Link works with the Aquos 42 and 45 inch and the smaller Aquos LCDs. The 37-inch NTSC model emits to much IR radiation for most IR repeaters to function properly. Hot Link Pro will work with the IR and RF- noisy Sony XBR series.
The 60 and larger plasma displays will work if an Eye with Y Kit is used with the Hot Link. Recommended Eye mounting procedures will be on our site. Noise indication during warm-up of LCD TVs is easily mitigated. Turn on LCD TV after cool down. While standing to one side so as to not add local reflection, place the Eye on the back of the TV and roll it until the Confirmation LED turns completely off.
Since an IR repeater must be broad band and many of the frequencies that cause noise are very near the remote frequencies, multiple direct frequency filtering is actually less effective than power vector filtering accomplished by mounting the Eye in a hidden location. The energy in the vector of the remote going forward is greater than the vector of the noise of the TV reflecting back toward the TV.
Doors open and not functioning properly:
The Hot Link Pro does work with the doors open as well as closed, unless noise is not mitigated or if the LCD or Plasma TV are sending out IR noise directly to the AV gear and affecting remote performance.
Remote To Eye Distances enhanced:
Hot Link Pro enhances useful distances of remotes. Comments to the contrary are often because of not mitigating noise or misplacement of emitters. In the case of the Scientific Atlanta 8300HD which has poor IR range to start with, distance is often enhanced when 1 to 5 layers of masking tape are placed between the Hot Link Pro emitter and the 8300HD IR receiver eye.
We make every effort to make installation as easy as possible with the recognition that some installs are easier than others and we provide great customer service to help with the trickier installations. Please call us for help at 800-999-8846.
At your service,
Marcus, Microsmith Inc.
- One of the few products that lives up to it's advertising. Bought to allow all components to be hidden, and works perfectly. Paired with a Harmony 659 remote, and it just plain works. Far more sensitive than the standard IR receivers on the equipment. I have mounted the eye behind the television as described in the documentation, and it picks up every signal. The only cables were longer than I had expected, which made for much easier installation. The only part of the installation that took any time at all was locating the IR sensor on some of the component equipment. Had everything installed and functional in less than 15 minutes.
- Set up of this product was a breaze - connected to components under a 37" LCD and an outside window about 5 feet away. I placed the receiver eye underneath the center channel speaker out of view of the TV and pointing away from the window, made the connections and viola! Everything is in the cabinet with doors closed and the remote works from across the room.
The cable of transmitters is bulky and hard to organize in the cabinet. It looks a little messy in the cabinet, but hey, the doors stay closed. I'm not crazy about the little sticky pads on my components, but I will deal with that later.
I am very pleased - this product was much cheaper than similar products offered. I highly recommend.
- Bought this product to help hide my home theater components I just purchased. Installation could not be easier. I admit I was skeptical about all the places the manufacturer sais the "eye" could be hidden and still receive the signal. I have the eye BEHIND the LCD in an enclosed entertainment center while I aim the remote and the opposite wall! It works so well that I am considering using one of the extra IR receptors on the visible TV IR receiver just to make the TV receive commands easier. There are other products out there that may have flashier boxes (that come with higher price tags), but this product is a winner. 5 STARS!

5 comments about Etymotic Research ER6i Isolator In-Ear Earphones (White).
- If your searching for headphones/speakers to listen to music while riding a motorcycle, these are the best sounding, noise canceling headphones you will ever hear. The ER6I'S fit comfortably in my ears and with my XM-radio, I can listen to music all the way across the country without looking for stations. Others headphones might sound good standing in a store, but put on a helmet, go 70 mph and they hurt your ears and let all the wind overwhelm your music.
I give the ER6I an A+!!!
- I have been through 3 pair of ER 6i earbuds from etymotic in the past 1 1/2 years. They are very fragile, require frequent replacement of the filters (any tiny amount of sweat from activity will immediately block all sound from coming through the filter). These earbuds CANNOT be used for running (I have tried more times than is rational because I did like the sound quality). The wires are not solidly held into the plug pin so going jogging even a few times with them results in at least one bud cutting on and off a few times then complete silence. To be fair, Etymotic was decent about replacing them free of charge during my 1 year warranty, but I am tired of losing my tunes during long runs and having to send them back again and again.
- I've tried a lot of different brands over the years and these continue to be the best for motorcycle riding/touring under your helmet. They suppress all the outside noise similar to regular ear plugs which allows you to run lower volume levels and yet still be able to hear sirens and horns and such when your scooting along, as well as people talking to you when you're stopped. I haven't had an issue with them breaking like others have mentioned and the only reason I'm on a new pair is because I had a "conflict" with a tractor trailer on I-75 and somewhere between the accident site and being rushed to the emergency room they disappeared. I do have spare ear flanges and filters though I've yet to use them, just keep your ears clean and clean the flanges with rubbing alcohol every so often. I would also recommend that you use either a small amount of KY or just lick them before inserting them into your ears, that helps them to be seated properly and helps with comfort over a long trip on consecutive days...
- Etymotic Research ER6i Isolator In-Ear Earphones (White) The sound is OK, not as good as a pair of Sonys I bought at radio shack for $100.00. The noise cancellation on the Sonys is amazing, and on the Etymotics its mediocre. Also the bass on the Etymotics is not great. All in all I rate them a weak 4 out of 5
- These are really great. I have small ears and the other headphones hurt my ears. These feel good-you don't even know they're in your ears and the sound is terrific.

5 comments about Creative Hard Plastic Case for Zen (Clear).
- The Zen fits perfectly in this case. The case is stury and protects it well. It even hides the few scratchs that are on my Zen screen. The only problem is that the ring it comes with is cheap and seems like it's about to break (I only had the case for 4 days).
- The plastic case does protect your player and I am glad that I have it. It is sometimes tricky to completely close the case and I have to play with it to get it to close tight. I took the ring off because I found I don't really need it. I tried the ring a few times, but it just seems easier to slide the player into a pocket. I've saved the ring in case I ever find I want to put it back on.
It did seem like the best case I could find and it does do the job and I would recommend buying the case if you are buying a Creative Zen.
- The case protects well. It get scratched up a bit easily but better the case than the player. The leather thing holing the clip completely snapped after a few weeks of use. :(
- Some reviewers have complained that the case has gotten scratched which mine has. However, isn't that what the case is supposed to do - prevent your MP3 player from getting scratched? It works great! In addition, I have no problem operating the buttons.
- This case is virtually indestructible. I've sat on it, stepped on it and dropped it, and all it has to show for it is a few scratches.
There's just one thing though - this case turns a sexy player into something for more reminiscent of the old chunky Creative bricks. It's just thick enough to make the Zen feel heavy and clunky in your pocket, which is a shame because by itself the Zen is so nice and thin. So if you need the protection, then definitely go for the case, but if you're someone who's going to just use it on the subway and are pretty careful, go without.

5 comments about Sabrent SBT-USC1K Hi-Speed USB 2.0 to Serial DB-9 RS-232 Adapter Cable (Black).
- I used it to connect a Garmin GPS unit to my Mac while running Parallels to update the Garmin database - worked fine.
- This item should be listed as temporarily unavailabe. The listing says it might take an extra day to ship. My confirmation says to expect to wait at least a month. If I didn't need it now, I wouldn't have ordered it.
- As another reviewer pointed out, this item uses the Prolific PL-2303 chip, giving excellent support under Linux and Mac OSX. Unlike some other USB to serial adapters (such as those from Cypress), this device correctly implements hardware flow control and sets proper line voltages, ensuring full RS-232 compatibility.
Not only is it good, it's also very inexpensive. Five stars in my book.
- Bought some of these as I needed a serial interface into some equipment and the computers my work was building no longer had these available. Install the driver, plug in the cable, and go. Only caveat was remembering which serial port it was using.
Cable did what I needed it to do and I really can't complain.
- Purchased a new laptop which does not have a serial port. This item allowed me to continue to use my Palm IIIC. Setup was quick and the adapter cable works perfectly.

5 comments about Belkin Silicone Armband Case for 80/120 GB iPod classic 6G (Black).
- I love this slim design armband, the only problem I have with it is that the wheel is difficult to move around when in the case, other than that, great for working out, I love it!
- This product is poorly made, just like most of the other cases I have found. The strap attaches by merely passing through 2 slits in the silicone, which makes if very flimsy. If you plan on running or doing any activity that involves full body movement I would not suggest this item. It would be ok if all you plan on doing is walking or low intensity working out. I ended up getting the more expensive Belkin case with armband.
- how do u make a product that does not work? you can not turn the wheel with the case on it. i gave it two stars cause it works fine once I cut out the area that covers the wheel so i can actually use it with the case on. Makes no sense to cover it up what a dumb company who makes the customer finish completing the product instead of leaving the wheel uncovered themselves
- I read the reviews on this before buying it and wasn't sure if I was going to like my purchase or not. I wanted something that would protect my iPod while I was at the gym, around the house, or in the car. The click wheel wouldn't work with the silicone, so I just cut out that part and put a clear protector on that part of my iPod and now it works just fine. I like it because it fits nicely and I don't have to take it off when I hook up my iPod to my Griffin Roadtrip in the car. It was definitely worth what I paid for.
- I bought this item looking to avoid having my ipod fly around my pocket while running outside. All i needed was a simple design that securely strapped the player to my arm. This very simple design does just that. The silicone cover is well made and protects your ipod from any sort of minor damage that may occur. The back has little openings where the elastic band will go through to secure the player.
There are more expensive, higher quality products out there but if you're looking for solving that one problem when running, and in addition, getting a very clean looking ipod protector, this is the way you want to go about it.

5 comments about Sony High Definition Minidv Videocassette (2-Pack).
- I've now used about 10 such tapes on my Sony HD camcorder and never had any issues. The tape works well and the recording quality is great. It is expensive but well-worth it in terms of the quality and error free recording. I wish Amazon would sell a 5 or 10 pack at discounted price of ~$8 per tape.
- great HIGH DEF. quality. No drop outs at all. just consistent smooth digital video and audio output.
- As a few of you may know this HDV tape is top of the line in quality video. Panasonic makes a really solid tape as well, although i experienced more drop-out with Pany tapes. The reason i gave it 3 stars is because sony came out with a new tape HDM63VG. The new tape is videography grade, and the quality is awesome! The biggest benefits of the new tape is the price. 1/2 the price of the red label HDV from Sony. You can only buy them online at authorized sony stores for now, but will probably hit mass market here shortly. If you want to buy a great quality tape and don't care out the price, The ones your looking at are as good as it gets.
- The tapes came very quickly, but rather then getting a 2-Pack as advertised, I got an envelope with two single tapes, not packaged for resale. If I knew I was buying tapes from a bulk reseller, I would've expected the price to be much lower.
I have not tried the tapes yet, so cannot vouch for their quality. I'm sure they'll be fine.
- These Sony tapes have worked flawlessly for us. My wife burns through tapes pretty quickly on her Canon HV10 camcorder. To date, image quality has been as-expected with no problems recording or transferring data to the PC.
I am sure there are cheaper options, but it's simply not worth the risk.
