  1. You can't beat better headphones for $4. Seriously! Great sound isolation and great sound all around. I bought 2 pairs because I beat on them pretty hard. My originals still work, but I run a lot and there have been times when I have caught the cord on various things - branches, fingers, you name it....and yanked them out of my ears (ouch!) and I eventually created a tiny short in one of the wires due to the abuse. I love these and I want to make sure I have a couple of pairs for years to come! I have talked a few of my friends into trying these and they love them as well (and have bought a couple of pairs)!

  2. best noise isolating headphones under 100$ and they are super cheap!!!
don't fall out when working out and sweat doesn't stop them!
Molding earpieces can get old after a wile but it comes with two sets

  3. First off, I did the Kramer mod to these, so they are not stock. These are excellent 'phones for the price, and after the Kramer mod (google jvc marshmallow kramer mod) the bass is much more balanced with the mids and highs. The sound isolation is decent, especially with higher frequencies, such as keyboard typing. These do suffer, as do most cheap 'phones, from the stethoscope effect, as well as picking up sounds from an mp3 player. Bottom line, after the mod they are better balanced and have decent isolation, which is all I need for mowing, not great sound but excellent for the price.

  4. Great product with soft, flexible (marshmallow) ear pieces, excellent acoustics, and just the right length connection wire. Works great in my i-pod.

  5. Compared to other in-ear headphones:

Comfort: Excellent! Not only are the foam "marshmallows" more squishy and comfortable than ANY headphone I've ever owned, but the balance of their weight seems to better keep them in your ear. Apple's ear buds or Phillips' Virtual Surround, for example, always felt like they were gradually sliding out of my ears. As a result, I was constantly pushing them around, and my ears were none too happy about it.

Sound: Good sound, though not the best, but its major strength is how much ambient noise is blocked out. They're like ear plugs with a speaker in the middle; you can still hear just fine walking down a busy street with an ambulance wailing past.

Durability: Poor, and the reason I rate them a 3 and not a 5. If you refer to the product photo: where the cable connects to the audio jack, the plastic molding around the wire is the same design as you would find on Apple ear buds. Rather than being flexible to distribute wear and tear, the plastic molding is rigid enough that it creates a pressure point at its top. The cable bends back and forth at this single spot much more than others and gradually breaks. Essentially, this "protection" merely moves the pressure point a half inch up the cable.

After a little over a year of use, these headphones broke in the same manner my Apple ear buds all have: at that pressure point the cable started looking a bit pinched, one of the speakers started sounding a little crackly, and by the end of the week only one side of the headphones worked. I did use these headphones on a daily basis, but always treated them as gently as one can expect of an item that lives in a purse and gym bag when not in use.

I've seen other headphones with jacks that seem less likely to wear in this way. You'd think a design flaw like this would stop being produced sooner or later. Until then, I will stop buying them, despite this item's wonderful comfort level and good sound quality.

5 comments about Sony MDR-G57G S2 Sports Street Style Headphones with Reflective Ear Piece.
  1. these headphones are awesome, fit really well, look sturdy too. quality of music is pretty good, for 20 bucks i wudnt expect anything better. They tend to hurt the upper part of ears in the beggining but u get used to it in a while and u learn to adjust them properly so that they stop hurting. Ideal for a workout or a bike ride or just general, they look cool and do not fall off!!

  2. This headphone sounds good (Sony's headphones, even the under-$20 models, almost always give really nice sound), and the build quality is as good as any I've seen for this price. The behind-the-head band and ear loops hold the phones very securely and allow you to wear a hat. However, I found the band a little on the small side, like it would fit a child better than an adult. The ear loops could also be a problem for people who wear eyeglasses. I have worn these phones for about 2 hours at a stretch and didn't find them to be intolerably uncomfortable, but for a really long day, 6 hours or more, they might chafe your ears too much. If it weren't for the too-tight fit, I'd rate them 5-stars. I am using them with a Motorola cell phone (to listen to MP3's), and sound quality is very good, loudness is about right.

  3. The sound quality is wonderful for the price... It grips my head very firmly which is good (in the sense that on runs I don't need to worry about them slipping) but can be uncomfortable for long periods of time (say, listening to music at work all day). However, overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product.

  4. The head phones are fine. If you want to wear them all day long, I wouldn't get them. I use them to work out in and they are fine. I think they would get uncomfortable if worn for a long time. The fidelity is good. I bought them because of the price and I have been happy with them.

  5. I've had two pairs of these headphones. Within a month or so of buying them, I lost sound in one of the earpieces (sound would only come out of the other one). It's too bad because these are otherwise fairly comfortable headphones.

5 comments about Handstands 11307 CD and DVD Storage Binder.
  1. These binders are perfect for storing my photo CD files in my office in plain sight, which was my main purpose for buying them. I didn't want big, ugly CD folders sitting out on a shelf. I did have to purchase refill pages right away, as there are never enough in these types of binders. The metal frame around the binder label has come loose around the edges, but that would be the only negative thing. I bought four originally, and will be purchasing more soon.

  2. Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3JZN24X1IEOUY I love these CD holders! I have been looking for some like it for years. They look really smart on the shelf. Some of the metal fittings were a little sloppy (there was black paint on 2 of them) and the paper lable is difficult to change, but would absolutely recomend... I am being picky. They really look fabulous. I bought 3, then wanted more and bought 3 more!

  3. So far I have been very pleased with this product. Just wanted to write a quick note on the realistic capacity for cd storage. If you are planning to insert the cd liner notes behind the cd, the binder will hold approximately 8-10 pages which translates into a storage capacity of 32-40 cds per binder. I ordered extra pages and found them totally unnecessary given that I inserted the liner notes behind my cds. The only need for extra pages is if you are not planning to insert your cd liner notes. Otherwise, just order the binders.

The binders also do feel like genuine leather and look exceptionally nice on display.

  4. This is it! I have purchased 2 of these decorative binders and they look great where ever I put them. They have helped me down-size and organize what was once a clutter of DVDs and CDs. It was somewhat hard to rid myself of dvd cases but for my small space it was necessary and I wanted something I can display but wanted to avoid those drab zipper binders. This really was the ultimate solution because they are stylish and eye-catching and house guests are drawn to them and find it hard to believe that my extensive DVD collection is found within! Furthermore, I made my own labels using some fancy font and they look awesome! The product does not mention any label-making tips but it is really common sense, all you really need is a Microsoft Word-type application and a printer, usually a 8pt font is just about right, depending on the title. I collect show series and it's great to see my entire collection of The Sopranos, Sex and the City, and Six Feet Under in these binders. Im in Media Storage Heaven!

  5. Bought the three pack, and need one more.
I used each slot to hold the CD's book as well as the CD itself, and it filled out the book nicely, without needing more inserts. If you are using this for CDs only [no book] then extra inserts can be used.
I love them... finally, no tower, no shelf, no cases lying around everywhere. A comprehensive collection, and it looks damn snazzy too.

5 comments about Belkin TuneTalk Stereo for iPod 5G, 5.5G (Black).
  1. It delivered exactly what I was looking for. High quality recording while charging the iPod.

  2. I didn't really expect much from this tiny little mic, but I was underestimating the sound quality. I used it to record lectures @ school and found it to be quite helpful and it even picked up background music pretty well...so I say go for it. A bit pricey but worth having it available.

  3. When I got this unit, I took it out of the box and tried to plug it into my Ipod. And tried. And tried. The plug wouldn't go in. I had to move the plug around a bit and apply more pressure than any other ipod docking plug I have ever used. Finally, it plugged in. Unlike what it says in the manual, the record function did not automatically start. What did happen was a "voice memo" line appeared under extras, I believe it was. When I selected that, it had an option to set the record quality to high or low, and a start recording option. I started the record, let it run for 20 seconds, and stopped it. The recording I had just made appeared right under the quality setting option and the start record option. I highlighted it, pushed the center button, and play and delete options appeared. Playing it, I was pleased with the quality.

After coming back to the device later, I tried plugging it back in, had the same problem with the stubborn plug. It recorded fine again. I made another recording with the auto gain on to see the difference. It definitely amplifies nicely, but adds hiss.

The next recording I tried came out as a hash of hissing, static and crackling. If you are old enough, you have heard an old AM radio in a thunderstorm. That crackling and popping was very close to what I got out of this microphone after that.

The plug obviously has something wrong with it judging from the way it didn't want to work smoothly. Whether or not that was the cause of the hideous noise on all subsequent recordings I can't say. I unplugged and replugged it numerous times, and always got that hash of static and crackling.

To say I'm disappointed in this device is an uderstatement. I hate shoddily constructed defective equipment. The "stand" that it comes with is simply a folded piece of plastic. The "quick memo" button on the side of the microphone doesn't work with the ipod classic. I could have overlooked either of these things if it has survived more than three recordings and the plug had worked even decently.

    Buyer beware.

  4. This product does what it says it can do. My girlfriend has been using it for two weeks+ for a summer class. It has certainly worked well and has definitely aided her studying.

The only drawback, if any, you need to ensure it has a full charge before each use and charge it after. She takes a 1 hour and 20 minute class 4x a week and it will get her a full lecture each time.

    Highly recommend!

  5. This unit is primarily used at my weekly music lesson to record a 1 to 1 1/2 minute song played by my instructor. He still uses a cassette recorder and I thought having my "homework" recorded on the iPod 30g Video would be much better.

He's normally very meticulous and plays each and every note that's on the sheet music. However, I noticed after the first week that there were notes missing (which really confuses things when you're trying to play along). I thought, at first, that maybe he had mixed things up a bit just to keep me on my toes. However, it's done this every time he records a song; always happening at different places with a recording.

Since this is the only reason I bought this, I was sorry that I kept it almost two months before reading the less than stellar reviews (thought it was just this particular unit or something); otherwise I would have returned it immediately for a refund. Next time I make this type of purchase I'll read ALL the reviews ... not just the good ones.

  1. I use a Mac, and everyone knows Mac lovers keep their keyboards. The one thing is that if you use a Mac keyboard, they have the shortest cord ever. So I got this and it worked like a charm, giving me that extra distance between my Mac and my keyboard on my desk; keeping the wires off the top of my desk.

  2. Works perfectly, and you can buy several for the cost of one charged at Radio Shack.

  3. This cable works well and is a good quality product, unlike other cheap cables which sometimes affect the USB transport. I recommend it.

  4. This is a great accessory to use with a webcam on a Laptop computer. My webcam would not attach and sit securely atop my laptop screen that I use. Because of this I had to position it on a nearby flat surface, but the cord was too short for my needs. With this Extension Cable I an place cam on suitable site and use the laptop without worrying about the cam falling off, or having to constantly be repositioned. The cable can also be utilized with other peripheral devices that hook into USB connectors. Very useful device!

  5. I had been looking in office supply stores for this item but they all seemed to sell it at a much higher cost ($14.95-$20.95). This is exactly what I was looking for and the price was hard to believe!

5 comments about Optical Cable 3 ft..
  1. I picked up two of these cables for my new Home Theater setup and as expected, I am very pleased. The sound quality through my Sony HTIB is incredible. As long as you are careful with the cable (i.e. No sharp bends) you should not have any issues. We actually use the same thickness of Optical cable in our Telecommunications equipment at my work and it is as reliable as you could imagine.

No reason for a thicker or more expensive cable. This does the job perfectly!!!

  2. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with this product.
I have been using standard analog hookups for my HD dvd player's Dolby Digital and DTS sound until I received this item. The cable is just like the seller describes on this Amazon page...3 foot fiber optic sound cable.
And well, I plugged it into my HD DVD player and into my DTS Receiver--the set up was instant. ONE CABLE for all 7 channels and when I plugged the first end into the HD player, the other end of the cable LIT UP with a little red light so it was easy to see where to hook up the other end in the receiver. The optical sound is its own flashlight basically--and as soon as both ends were plugged in, instantly, I had to turn the sound from my original settings at 10 decibels to 3 decibels, because the optic sound was blasting out my speakers. The cable itself is 3 feet long and about 1/2 inch thick, and it comes with the optical tips covered by a sturdy plastic cup guarding the tips till you can hook them up. The cable itself is strong enough to withstand long-term use unless you have children pulling out your cables constantly. But from what I have seen, I feel it will maintain for years to come.
Seriously, it is TRULY an AUDIBLE MIRACLE from standard connections. For a mere $4 dollars(shipping included, it was the best money I ever spent! I have never heard such GREAT sound before!!!I highly recommend this! In fact, I love it so much I sat right down and wrote this review not one minute after hooking it up!!!

  3. Ended up being too short and required repositing of my music system. Great price and comparable sound quality to brand-name cables for a fraction of the price.

  4. OK, you have been shopping for cables to finish off your new home theater system and time after time a salesperson tells you about MONSTER cables. Well, when it comes to HDMI or Red/Blue/Green component cables, getting something nice with gold fittings is the way to go but spending big bucks to buy the MONSTER brand name is way over rated. Search our some similar but way cheaper cables on Amazon.com. Now regarding these optical cables. Brand means nothing. Transferring a light signal is transferring a light signal. A gold fitting means squat. As long as the optical cable you buy delivers the light signal from a cable box to your TV or audio system, you good to go. Example, I purchased a MONSTER Cable on sale for $38 bucks before I saw this cable on Amazon.com. Glad Circuit City has a 30 return policy with receipt because I sure used it. Once my less then less than a buck optical cable arrived and I saw that it delivered a light signal just like the MONSTER cable with the MONSTER price did, I returned that overpriced cable faster than you can say jack rabbit. When installing your optical cable, look close at the shape of the fitting and the shape of the whole it goes in. Kinda trick to make sure you are placing it in correctly and push it in snug. Do not jam it in without lining up which side is up. Also, do not crimp the cable. You are dealing with fiber optics here so keep the cord from bending at a sharp able to keep your light passageway from getting blocked. ENJOY AND SAVE BIG BUCKS.

  5. If you only need a short optical cord, you can get this one for $3.00 with shipping and it works fine.

    Why pay more?

  1. Great ear buds!
    Sound is very good.
Isolates outside noise because ear bud fits like an ear plug.
    Wire gets tangled easily.

  2. These ear phones are ok if you are looking for something to sit on an airplane with. If you want to workout with them then they are a bad idea. I generally don't like Sony products from past experience of bad design and lack of quality. I would say that this is true for the headphones as well. The ear pieces are not equally divided which allows for easy detection of which plug goes in which ear, but when running it causes the ear pieces to pull out. If you like Sony then give it a shot, otherwise find a better brand for $20 these where not worth it.

  3. Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia In-The-Ear Headphones, White

I would have loved these except only one ear bud worked. I was flying from Boston to North Carolina with stops only to find out only one ear worked. I already owned black ones and one ear pooped out with that pair. I have returned the new ones and am hoping for a new pair soon. I like the product because I have small ears and the different size buds are great for me. Plus the price at Amazon is great. I can't wait to receive them. Hope they come soon. Tired of listening on one side.

  4. By far the best earbuds I've used. They are far more comfortable than Apple's earbuds and the sound quality is fantastic! When I first used them, I thought I heard someone behind me getting an email chime, but low and behold it was me!

  5. Absolutely the best ear buds I have used. Over the five years I have had my iPod, I had 20 different pair of buds. I bought the very expensive Koss as well. These Sonys are by far, by far the best ones yet. They are extremely comfortable, and the fit is perfect. Not to mention the unbelievable sound. Bass is rich and deep, and the treble isn't tinny, but gives the music a terrific presence. I listen to everything from doo-wop to popular to classic rock, and all comes through with clarity and dimension. Bravo, Sony!!

  1. I should have known that there was a reason these headphones cost half of "comparable" pairs. They sound pretty good when I press them into my ears with my fingers. They sound less good when I remove my fingers and they pop out of my ears onto the floor.

I tried all three sizes of included eartips and none of them create the amount of friction and pressure to stay put. I've used both the Shure and Bose $99 headphones (not for iPhone) and used the medium eartip on each and they stayed put.

Those and the stock Apple earphones seem to rely both on the hold inside the ear AND some support from the outer ear (they rest slightly on the "ledge" of the ear). This one doesn't do that. This, plus the fact that the eartips are too soft to hold tight in the ear creates a very silly set of headphones.

I almost forgot another feature that on its own would also be a deal-breaker. When you insert the earphones, they make this loud "squishy" sound as the eartips move up and down on the metal protrusion. It's hard to describe in words, but I'll just say that it isn't a pleasant sound and sounds like water being pumped inside your ear. I would pay the extra $50 to make that go away...no question.

I'm returning them now and will need to spend the $100 to get something with good fidelity and good fit. You really do get what you pay for.

  2. a good, sound isolating, comfortable, pair of earphones. Great value. Sound both input and out not as good as some, but you have to double the price before you get significantly better.

  3. Good value for money - iPhone stock headphones cost you $30. If you lost them or need upgrade, I think these are best bang for buck.
They fit better and the noise isolation is very very good.
Sound quality is very good - it's not bass heavy though.
I think other reviewers are unnecessarily giving poor rating, they are worth 4 stars.
I don't know the build quality, as I am using them only for 2 days

  4. I wanted to like these headphones and I tried everything to no avail. The title to this review summarizes these headphones. That said, let me start with what I did like:

    Pros:
-Good design, the mic is on the left side, so you never have to wonder which side is right, and which is left.
-The mic is separated from the answer button, this is great as it keeps the mic small so you don't have a large piece of plastic hanging off your ear.
-Very stylish and sturdy (though I didn't care for the carry bag much).
    -Stop/Next/Answer button works perfectly.
    -Cord extension is great.

So far so good. Now for the one con: audio quality. The bass is non-existent. I have owned canal earphones before and I know what a good seal feels like (so fit was not an issue). I also tried all three silicone pieces before settling on the mid-sized piece.

I also burned the headphones in overnight as maximo recommends, but still mediocre bass.

I also tried setting the EQ on my iPhone to "Loudness", but that did not help. I'm not a bass head, but I do like solid bass response and was quite disappointed.

Outside of the bass issue, i also found that there was focus on mid range without great highs (i wonder if this is to emphasize audio conversations, but I can't say for sure.

Finally, the design of the silicone eartips doesn't not create a good seal. You may have a different experience with your ear, so take that with a grain of salt.

My last set of headphones was made by skull-candy and i found the earpieces there to be much better.

In the end, I sent them back and am looking at ultimatebuds fs1.

  5. Do Not Buy this product. Sound quality is worse than the stock iPod headphone I was wanting to replace.

  1. Pros: Works as advertised for hooking up a laptop to a TV. Video and sound output is flawless, considering you're dealing with composite cables.

Cons: For someone with no technical expertise, this could have been improved by automatically adding the TV as a second monitor in Windows. Right now, that must be done manually, which is fine for me. With many others, however, this may lead them to believe that the product doesn't work.

Final Thoughts: If you're familiar with connecting multiple monitors, then you can't go wrong with this product. Even if you're not and you need this, I would get it, and you could learn something new in the process. :)

  2. I received the product promptly. It works great. Now I can watch movies through my computer.

  3. Works well. Easy to hook up.

The cables to the computer are a little close together. My headphone jack is on the right side of my laptop and my video output is in the back. It's easy to pull these apart to accommodate the distance between the audio and video hook ups.

I would maybe upgrade to the longer cable. 6 feet is nice but I usually play videos off my laptop and I also control them from it. So it's not very convenient to have the play/pause/etc controls not right next to me. Go for the 12 foot cable.

  4. It's good, the video quality is acceptable and for the money you pay is great

  5. I bought this 2 weeks ago and it was very easy to configure. Thanks to Amazon for having this wonderful product. I was wanting to buy a PC 2 TV connector and this perfectly suited me well..

5 comments about Sabrent SBT-UPPC USB to Parallel 6-Foot Printer Cable.
  1. I purchased this because a few of the reviews said it "worked out of the box". I'm on XP. It simply does NOT work at all. The packaging says a 6' cable; it's around 4'. It says Windows XP compatible -- not even close. If they meant to say that with their cable you will receive "unknown device" messages from the USB controller then it sure is compatible. The packaging says "Fully compatible with all parallel printers". I have a Lexmark 3200 Parallel printer; it doesn't work.

Read ALL the reviews and you will see what I mean. I wish I had read them all! The drivers are for Pre-XP systems. The documentation is in broken English and is lame. I will never purchase anything from Sabrent because of their obvious false advertising on this product.

I wish I could find a "Contact Us" for Amazon and ask them why they are selling a falsely marked product but alas, I could not find such a link. I thought about returning this purchase but the shipping costs Amazon would charge me would be about the same as the cost of this "printer cable".

  2. Package says nothing about compatibility with mac, but when I installed it between my 8-year-old HP Laserjet and my two-week-old iMac (OS 10.5), there was no problem. No software was needed for installation or use, or if there was, my Mac did it automatically. Cable comes with a 3-inch laser disc that was not needed, and probably would have got stuck in my disc drive if I had been dumb enough to try it.

  3. The cable did not work when connecting a usb printer to a parallel laptop port under Windows 95. Maybe it would work for a parallel printer to a usb laptop port under Windows 95, but that was not what I bought it for.

  4. Upgrading to a system that had no Centronics Interface was a bummer. Then I went to Amazon and found this cable.

It was 1/3rd the price of all the others that I saw AND with PRIME shipping it was a REAL bargin.

    John in Chapel Hill, NC

  5. You might as well consider this product a 50-50 gamble, considering that half of the reviews rate 1 star, and half rate 5 stars. For me, it just didn't ever work. For you, random shopper, the effective cost of this gamble on the Sabrent cable is $8.99/50%, or $17.98. I'll write off the $8.95 (free shipping) and try again with another product. By the way, the cable I received is only 4 feet 10 inches.
