5 comments about Speck ArmorSkin Case for iPod classic (Black).
  1. GENERALLY, THIS IS A GOOD PRODUCT AND WILL PROTECT YOUR IPOD AGAINST SCRATCHES AND THE OCCASIONAL CLUMSY DROP.

IF YOU FREQUENTLY PUT YOUR IPOD IN A DOCK, LIKE AN IHOME OR ONE OF THE SPEAKER UNITS WITH AN IPOD SLOT, IT WON'T FIT WITH THIS THING ON IT.

THE CORDS WORK FINE WITH THE JACKET.

  2. This case gives the ipod classic very good protection. It has a good feel and I feel very confident that my ipod will not get scratched or damaged.

  3. The case is great for protecting your ipod from the daily scratches that you would normally get on an iPod. It comes with an outer case that molds around all of the corners, and a clear plastic piece that covers the screen exposing the click wheel. The outer shell is heavy duty, and your ipod will be able to withstand a lot of punishment, and the rubbery texture will keep it from sliding around. I put mine on my dashboard and it stays put just fine. My only complaints, and they are small complaints, are 1) The plastic front cover is easily scratched leaving small scratches that when you are viewing a video make it annoying to watch the movie through the scratches, and 2) the outer cover makes it too thick to use any of the ipod docks that are available out there. Other than those two things, it is great.

  4. The case seems to offer good protection for my iPod. I'd buy it again.

Some large docking connector cables have larger bodies than the cutout at the base of this cover.

  5. The protector device works as described. I've not taken the iPod out of the case since I put it in the case, so I have no idea about scratches, nor dust, nor lint. I can easily use the wheel control and the screen is easy to read.

5 comments about Mr. Coffee HCLF Café Motion Hot Beverage Maker.
  1. I like this product. It blended my hot chocolate well, I even added a piece of Candy Cane for a mint flavor which it dissolved and blended quite fine. I wish it had a heat control, it does come out hot even when reducing the time. I added some milk to cool it a bit. It has a little froth, would like more. We tried both milk and hot water, worked well. It beats heating up liquid on the stove or microwave. Good price for the product.

  2. Santa brought this fun little appliance for my 8 year old daughter that likes to drink hot chocolate nearly every day. This thing is pretty quiet, very easy to use, and clean-up is very simple. It seems to make even the less expensive powdered hot chocolate taste better. We had company for the holidays and everyone loved using it and having a nice cup of hot chocolate. I recommend rinsing the pitcher out soon after use as that makes clean-up very simple. Santa is very happy with his find!

  3. After reading some reviews, I decided that for $20 + tax, this would be a fun investment for my office at work. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but do love a frothy cup of hot cocoa.

I have had this in my office for two weeks now and have had good luck with it. Let's face it, it's an incredibly simple machine!!

So far, my favorite has been Hershey's Cacao Reserve Mayan blend Drinking cocoa. It's the adult version of your childhood indulgent hot cocoa. Even made with water it is rich and seductive. The Cafe Motion Hot Beverage Maker does a very good job of mixing and frothing.... if you follow the directions, by putting liquid in first, then putting mixes in the liquid. If you do it the other way around, then you'll never fully mix the two and most of the powder will remain on the bottom.
It is exceptionally easy to clean, but if the pot is empty and you don't intend to clean it right away, it wouldn't hurt to add some water until you get to it.

    That's just my two cents.

  4. Love this product! I'm a flight attendant that flies to Italy, weekly, and wanted to buy a similar product overseas. One of the problems was the cost, and secondly was the number of cups. Cafe Motion makes many cups of cappucino with with instant coffee without the mess of cleaning the espresso machine. But, if you'd like, you can buy a stovetop espresso maker. Otherwise, the timer and froth make this a hit with all of my friends.

  5. I have used this hot chocolate maker for several months now after being ordered not to drink coffee. This is very easy to use. I fill my cup with milk, pour it in the maker, then add the powdered coccoa mix. Turning the dial half way makes a hot cup of hot chocolate two minutes after I start. Clean up is important. I purchased a wide brush and a pointed brush from Wal Mart. I follow them with a sponge and two minutes of work, immediately after pouring my cup easily cleans up. A good buy for the money.

5 comments about ZyXEL PLA401 200 Mbps Powerline HomePlug AV Wall-plug Adapter (Starter Kit--2 units).
  1. I used this kit to extend Internet access to my living room. I use it to watch Netflix movies on a plasma TV using the the ROKU media device. I am very pleased with the ZyXEL AV adaptor.

  2. Described as 2 units - received only one. I was givin the option of returning or getting a 50% credit. I chose the credit. It took at least one phone call and one e-mail before I received my credit. I had to purchase a second unit at a higher cost to make up the set from an other supplier

  3. For some reason, the wireless signal in my bedroom is never consistent. I've tried so many different wireless routers, finally I bit the bullet and purchased this kit after reading some reviews about the new powerline products. So I plug one unit to one of the outlets next to my router, connected to an Ethernet port of my router, and the other into an outlet in my bedroom, into a small 4 port switch, and now both my wife and I are able to just plug into the switch and get online. It's the easiest product I have used in a while - kinda like my mac.

  4. I've been using 2 PLA401s to extend by home network and cut down on the wifi traffic for about 6 weeks. For the first 4 weeks the units worked great, about 2 weeks ago one started intermittently failing. It's to the point that if I unplug one of the units I can plug it back in and it works for about 2 minutes before failing. It appears to be an issue with overheating. I've contacted customer support but gotten no response at this point. For now I've removed the case on the unit that was failing, this has allowed it to work for about a day now. The case only has a few slots on one side, it does not appear to have good airflow through the device.

  5. Initially I tried Netgear Av Net powerline kit, but that was a waste of time and money. So I bought this Zyxel's PLA 401 Kit.

What a joy! No comparison with Netgear's junk! I checked even plug in my house on both floors in all rooms, and it works like a charm. The speeds are quite high, in in the 50-100 Kbit range. Online support is accessible, fast, informational, and 2-year warranty gives a peace of mind.

One little issue surfaced in a couple of days: one of the adapters(I bought 2 kits of two adapters each) stopped recognizing the others connected to my home wiring (the dapaters have three light, one of which shows if there is a connection to the other adpaters on the network). I unplugged it, even it was not very hot, but it did smell of hot plastic.

After a bout a day of not being plugged in I tried it again, and it worked, and it has been working now for a couple of weeks without any problems. I am happy for now.

5 comments about Sony MDR-RF925RK 900 MHz Analog RF Wireless Headphone.
  1. I have this hooked up in my main living room, and it's connected to my Television set. I bought this because I watch tv late night and other people in the house were complaing that they could not sleep as they could hear the tv. Everything about this product is great.

Just one down side. If you are watching a movie, take breaks with the headset, as it heats up your ears. Also clean the ear peice as sweat builds up. It does get hot.

  2. Headphones
I bought this item somehow, fortunately, before the price skyrocketed 20 bucks. I got it for 57.09. Don't know how or why sony or amazing jacked the price, but stoked I got this before it went up. Weird how that worked out. So THAT in itself earns a star for this item.

Design: VERY sweet, simple and intuitive. The analog RCA red-white is convertible to the 3.5mm jack. You just flip the cable around and use the opposite end on the reciever for whatever port your don't have. I was impressed with the little usage of cords and cable-age. Additionally, the simple 3 channel switch, battery opening button, and volume button are the ONLY buttons on the headphones. A+ for simplistic design. The out-on-of with the headband works well, too, but I'm concerned with some wear and tear that might be a problem, sot hat's solid right there. 2 more stores for design.

I wish the actual ear muffs were totally soundproof. I had been wearing peltor ear plugs (Designed for chainsaw noise) to block out ambient noise and had always shoved earbuds under those, this, understandably, offered a huge upgrade to listenign to music, but would have liked it to be totally soundproof. But that's not really a buying factor for most people. The ear muffs DO totally surround your ears with a desireable cushion. So tack on another star for comfort.

All that is GREAT! But it snaps, crackles and pops on all three of the channels of the channels , that's the most essential feature, so that loses three stars!

There's so few buttons and/or cordage you need to fiddle with. The minimum amount of plugs that came with the thing enhances the gist of wireless headphones (no cable clutter). This is a stellar poduct. And if you could get for 57.09 like I did, it's a steal. The ability to roam around the house while listening to music or some program is magically liberating. You don't have ot pause audo files while taking a bathroom break anymore. Haha!

Neglibible: Packaging. Why the hell do they make these so impossible to open from the plastic wrapper?! haha!

  3. I own many Sony products, (HDTV, Audio Receiver, CD Carosels, Digital Cameras)

I was very disappointed with this product. The first unit was defective out of the box. The replacement unit was also defective. I returned both units for credit and would never buy another Sony headset again.

  4. Overall, these are pretty good headphones. The sound quality is very good, and I've never listened to them long enough at one go to run the batteries down. The auto-on switch in the headband and the inductive charging on the base station mean that you never really have to worry about the batteries at all.

The downside is that the range isn't as great as specified (although I've yet to see a wireless product that manages the range the manufacturer claims), and in an office environment anyway, I get the occasional random click. Apparently, that click is the automatic squelch. It's a bit annoying that it doesn't just go silent, though. Also, the plastic parts where the headband connects to the earpieces tends to creak a bit.

Still, a pretty solid product, and comfortable enough to wear for at least a few hours at a time.

  5. Its just fantastic!
the cuality of the sound is great and i can walk to other rooms with it without loosing that much sound.

5 comments about Monster AICYP 200 iSplitter 200 Mini Y-Adapter for iPod w/ Volume Control/Mute (AICYP 200).
  1. I bought two of these items. One was defective. Not a good start, but the product is not bad considering it's the only option in this price range. There does seems to be some volume attenuation, but it is barely noticeable (i.e. the volume is a bit higher when the headphones are plugged directly into the source, versus through this splitter when it is on the maximum volume. Not sure the mute switch makes much sense. Why not have installed a mute switch for both sets of headphones? I can see more application for that than the current configuration.

  2. This splitter worked beautifully with our DVD player on our holiday travels. I strongly recommend for air travel with kids.

  3. This is a solid adapter for splitting an audio source for kids or for any other purpose for that matter.

  4. The idea of having volume controls on a splitter makes good sense. Individuals have their own volume preferences, and two listeners are likely to be listening with two different model headphones.

Now for the goofy part. The mute switch is not really needed. Add to the fact that the first time I slid the switch, the plastic switch cap/thumb pad detached from the splitter and went skidding across the kitchen floor...

Really folks...You've got two volume controls, you can unplug one headphone, or even take one headphone off (granted, earbuds are a bit more complex). Why do you also need a mute switch? This sounds a lot like a solution in search of a problem.

Suggestion: Center the switch, make sure both headphones work, and them use silicone glue to secure the switch in the that center position.

  5. This Y splitter is great because of the individual volume controls. Even if you don't need to connect two sets of headphones, the volume / mute feature alone makes this worth the money.

I listen to sports broadcast via the web all the time. Most of the time, the volume is so sensitive, that turning my laptop volume up one notch is too loud, and the next notch down is too low. What's great about these, you can set the volume on the loud end, then just use the super convenient volume adjustment on the splitter.

If you're only using one set of headphones, you can mute the other line and shift all the volume to the line your using.

In summary, regardless of if you're using two headphones or one, this is a helpful convenience device.
