  1. This is a great camera for anyone who wants to take great, high resolution pictures, but doesn't want to have to fuss with a lot camera controls to do it. It does give you lots of control if you want it, but it takes great pictures using the auto setting. It also has great zoom capabilities -- 4x optical/4x digital -- so the resolution is great. Finally, I bought it so I wouldn't have to lug my camcorder on vacation. This little guy takes great video on the fly. The video output is in *.mov format, which can be viewed with Quicktime or imported directly into iTunes. You can also use any video editing software to import the video and make movies. It's a small camera, so can fit in a shirt pocket, but personally it's a little big for me to put in my pants pocket.

  2. I was replacing my sony cybershot and needed a camera that didn't take "fuzzy" pics. This is the ONE...close ups, great zoom, multi-shots of a series...it is phenomenal. And So cute!! You won't be disappointed!

  3. I purchased this camera four months ago and loved it until all of a sudden it quit - lens error. Casio charges more than the camera is worth to fix it.

5 comments about Monster StereoLink 7-Foot Car Cable for Zune.
  1. It is 7 feet long because some people don't like the mess of cords all over your vehicle and sticking out the front of your receiver. It is most likely made that long to drop it (hook it) from the back of the cd player(receiver) .think about it!!

  2. I ordered this item and I had it in my hands in two days. It worked great and the price was right. Thank You

  3. I first purchased zune's car transmitter for 80! I thought it was pricy buy hey I wanted to hear my music in my car, so I gave in. I hated it - pain in the butt. First you have to find a clear station, then if your lucky you will able to hear Ok souding music for about 5 minutes, then the static kicks in. Not good for someone who lives near/in mountain area.

So I purchased this link for 20 bucks, and what do you know? Beautiful crystal clear music. Simply plug in and go, no wasting time searching for static free stations, and wishing for the best. - This product was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Best money ever spent.

  4. This product is exactly what you'd expect a Monster cable to be - a high quality cable with great audio fidelity and top-notch build quality. The only complaint I have is its length. But I knew it was 7 feet when I ordered it, so I still gave it a 5-star rating.

The cable doesn't crimp easily and feels good to the touch. The build quality is good enough that I expect it to well-outlive my Zune. I think the $20 price is more than reasonable for a rock-solid cable you know will last.

  5. This cable does just what I wanted and needed. Now I can listen to my Zune in the car and through my living room stereo system. Thanks

5 comments about DLO Homedock Music Remote.
  1. I needed a remote that I could play from outside in my driveway or yard as I have speakers outdoors. This thing works great. There was an issue that I finally figured out - I thought the first I had was broken and took it back. The 2nd one I got did the same thing. Here' what it is...
The remote stays 'linked' for about 20 seconds and then 'goes to sleep'. I had trouble getting it to connect again (actually wouldn't). I had to put a paperclip in the bottom to reset it!!! happened all the time - had to carry a paper clip around... finally realized that if you hit the middle MENU button before any other buttons were hit - - it would 'wake up' and connect. So just have to do that. If you hit any other button first, it will die and you have to re-connect with the paper clip.
    Probably doesn't make much sense...
this is the only unit i found that works through walls at the distance needed....

  2. I have had this for several months. When it works, it is quite neat. HOWEVER, and this is a big however, the sync process by which the new information on the iPod is transmitted to the remote is very flaky. Every time I add music to my iPod, the information has to be download to the remote, and that never goes smoothly. Usually I seem to have to reboot both the remote and the iPod several times before it works. And if I put my wife's iPod in the dock, that requires a new synch, with all the problems.

Also because the remote is small, and the browsing is done locally based on information stored in the remote, the browsing capability is pretty limited. The remote doesn't reproduce the iPod menus, rather it has a smaller set of selections. It is OK if you just want to fire up a play list or find a specific album, but overall quite limited.

I now have a Philips iPod dock plus universal remote and I am much happier with that.

  3. I purchased this item about a year ago for a special party I was giving and would not have time to both manage my music and entertain my guest at the same time. I needed a remote to assist me. This product did its job! Now I am purchasing my 2nd one for portability of my music for a class i will be teaching. Again, I need an assistant. And this time for only $90 bucks, it is worth the investment for the work. I paid $140.00 for my first one. Recommended!

  4. The item never worked. If the remote won't charge it's useless. Look elsewhere, not DLO.

  5. This product was bad out of box. Returned item to DLO, with no information availible from DLO with status for over 2 weeks.DLO now claims it was sent out in the US mail and now over 2 weeks lost. I am very dissatisfied with this product and DLO themselves.I am a power limited Technician and deal with suround and central audio systems in commercial and residential construction, but this piece will not be included in myy future installations. I am glad I fought with this instead of one of my customers!!!.Which if I may add , is the only bright spot in this ordeal.

  1. This one is a lot less expensive than purchasing from the store. You know the W one.

  2. Love this cable...and who can beat the price?!?!? Sound and video quality is great...not sure what the difference would be between this and other, more expensive cables, but I highly recommend this! Thanks, as always, Amazon!

  3. I'm not exactly sure if I received a Philips brand s-video cable because the package was clearly opened; perhaps a customer return? In any case, it works and it was cheap so I'm not going to complain to Amazon but I'm disappointed in Amazon for sending me a package that had been opened.

  1. VGA is a great way to connect your LCD T.V. or monitor to your computer, and in some cases, the only way. If you want the best image possible, you must buy a good cable, and this is one of the best. It is heavy duty, long enough for just about any job, and gives a clear and crisp image. I personally use it to connect my Media Center PC to a 32' Olevia LCD Monitor, and it looks at least three times better than my old junker cable. I have played HD content, PC games, SD content, and of course PC programs, and they all look very good. You can't really get much better unless you use HDMI or DVI.

    Hope you enjoy your cable!

  2. I dont see any reason not to score fine, it does what it says it will... ive connected my PC to my 32" LCD and it works fine...

  3. I had purchased a 10ft Gold Series monitor extension cable but it had ghosting issues when plugged into a 19" Monitor and a KVM switch.

Belkin support sent me this cable as a replacement and it immediately worked great. Graphics quality is excellent now at 1280x1024.

  4. The image provided when connecting a Dell Inspiron 8200 to a Sony 23" LCD HDTV was "shaky." In the end, a similar cable (though 6' instead of 10') from Radio Shack worked well.

  5. excellent service, good price/value and item exactly as advertised. would use seller for other purchases.

5 comments about Archos GPS In-Car Holder for 605 Wi-Fi (Holder Only).
  1. I think this is a very good product with the exception of where you live or where you want to use it, for me I don't know if I will ever use it since I can't find any maps for the Middle East, another problem I faced is that I received the package missing the main cable needed to connect the Archos device to the GPS holder and now for me I have to buy another one as the cable is not sold separately Amazon refunded 20% to my account but still I am the one who lost

  2. This Archos GPS car dock is actually meant to be compatible with future models in addition ot the 605, and includes grips for the upcoming models. It does a great job of adding thorough GPS functionality to the Archos 605. Installing the GPS software from the installation DVD onto the 605 is easy. You can also get traffic signal camera locations from an update on the Archos website. This GPS also incorporates real-time traffic into it's routing if you use the included TMC antenna and you get that info broadcast in your area. It has a built-in speaker so it doesn't rely on the 605s tiny speaker, but you can also use the line-out to your car stereo. It has all the features you'd expect from a standalone GPS. I commend Archos for continuing to add value to its products instead abandoning them for the new models -- the 605 is alread a DVR, a great media player, and a web browser. If you're thinking about getting a 605, keep in mind there's also a version already bundled with the GPS car dock.

  3. Starting with the positives:

    1. Nice display on 605 wifi
    2. Holder works well

Negatives (*and these may possibly all be resolved with software updates):

    1. Poor route calculation. Some suggested turns make no sense (e.g., turning off a street, adding distance on a different street, only to come back to the original street)
    2. Takes a long time to launch GPS program
    3. Difficult to navigate the menus
    4. When using POI's (points of interest), cannot check the location of POI's with the same name before calculating a route (e.g., multiple Home Depot locations -- Which town is being targeted for the one that is selected?)
    5. Cannot see the distance to a POI before calculating a route
    6. Difficult to edit a via

  4. - The GPS came with a mapcode that can not be used. If you call customer number support.
    - The customer suport have no idea what is she doing with repeating telling me that the map code I have is wrong, it should have no symbol. The only map code I ever have is what ever printed on the disc, and yes the disc as the sleeve has nothing written on it.
    - Once you got everything installed, the GPS heated the archos so much that we took it off.

and I got to update this review as the design is very lousy. The speaker keep going on as mention above, even you have audio output to the car speaker.

Now, we can not even use it as the Archos holder.

    We are returning this product.

  5. 1. Map code is wrong. Customer support is clueless. Had to go online to find the right code. Took a week to get software working.
    2. Can't listen to MP3s while in Navigation mode. Useless for long trips.
    3. Cannot manipulate GPS functions while unit is not attached to holder.
    4. Cannot suppress audio on unit even when an external audio cable is plugged into the holder. You have to plug audio cable into the Archos unit itself to shut up its (lousy) speaker.
    5. Cannot output video via holder's aux port (to a car's headrest monitor, for example)

The holder itself is a pretty good mount though (but too expensive just for that function).

Bottom line, we're returning this thing and just buy a car mount from Arkon. We'll stick with Garmin for our GPS needs.

5 comments about beyerdynamic DT 770 Stereo Headphones.
  1. This is for the 990 headphones (I don't know why the reviews are for different series below). I recently got these and broke them in with 100+ hours of loud pink noise so they should sound as they're "going to" at this point. The construction is good and they are very comfortable around the ear. The headband could use a lil more padding perhaps, but no biggie.

Now before I go into how they sound, I'll let you know where I'm coming from. This is my first pair of "real" headphones besides the cheap $20-30 sport kind, and I didn't audition any other brands before buying these, so this isn't really good for a headphone comparison. I do have very very very good speakers in my car (Dynaudio running off a McIntosh amp; JL Audio sub running off Phoenix Gold amp) and good tower speakers at home (Saturn - same company that makes Earthquake subwoofers - running off a NAD stereo amp). I'm running these headphones off the NAD amp.

After the pink noise break-in, I tried out various tracks - mainly trance, rock, and hip-hop. Generally, these sound very good and I'm happy with my purchase. I can hear a lot of the high frequency detail I get from my Dynaudios and good high clarity (ex. a complex Radiohead track). There is a good amount of bass and vocals sound very nice.

However, there does seem to be a slight bit of muddling in the mid range when there's a lot going on (vocals sometimes less sharp/clear when a lot of other sounds are going on. I'd prefer a little more clarity overall. The low end is there, but might overshadow the mids at times. The lows are good, but they don't really "hit" like I'd really like. Some Jay-Z tracks that go way low and slam don't really do it with these headphones. That low low thump is there, but sounds distant. The low end does a better job with the more standing bass wave like from a bass guitar or synthesized.

As I said, I'm comparing these to a top end system so in a ways I'd be a little dissapointed if they DID sound as good as my car after all I put in it! That being said, all-in-all, I think they really do sound good and are very comfortable to wear. They play a lot of detail and 99% of the people buying these will think they're the best thing ever because it'll probably be the best they've heard. Plus, for the money (they were on Amazon discount over $100 off retail when I got these for $260) it's a great buy.

The Grado 325s were considered, but are supposed to kill your head after 30 min. Sennheiser's were considered.

  2. The DT 880 headphones are great. The sound is transparent and the treble is quite open. The sound stage does not feel congested at all. The bass can go deep and I think it might have a little too much bass. The mid range feels slightly recessed, but I managed to get use to after the first two or three hours of use. These headphones require quite a bit of juice before they reach their potential. I suggest matching these headphones with a dedicated quality headphone amp.

  3. I was recently in the market for a new set of headphones and my audition process was lengthy and borderline obsessive. The result was a pretty good picture of what's out there for a reasonable ($600 or less) price. After listening to Sennheisers, Grados, AKGs, Etymotics, and Beyer, I came to the conclusion that the Beyer DT770s are nearly perfect for recording, monitoring, and mixing. I didn't get a chance to demo the DT880s, which some people rank amongst the very finest transducers in the world, but I'm sure they're even better.

The AKG 240s are popular with the home studio/bedroom producer crowd (yeah, I too have a pair laying around) and since the 240s and DT770s are in the same general price range, I'll compare them most thoroughly. I've said this elsewhere, but my general feels are, Grados are best for low-power devices (e.g. iPods, Walkmans), Sennheisers are amongst the best for audiophilic listening, and Etymotics (and now Shures) are best for revealing every minute detail of a sound. Those opinions are based on owning and living with many pairs for a long time.

So, where do Beyers fit in? They're awesome for anyone who wants a sealed headphone for noise isolation. They don't reduce noise to the extent that a canalphone like the Etymotics will, but then again, some people prefer not to stick tiny audio transducers way into their ears. Plus, sharing is not a problem. The DT770s will provide reasonable isolation even in noisy environments. They're a great choice for monitoring with drums. As a percussionist, my problem was always finding a headphone that cut out enough of my playing so that I didn't have to blast my eardrums every time I played with a click track.

I tried the AKG 240s in these types of situations, but they fit substantially looser and a fair amount of noise leaks in. The fit is also a problem when you need to move. The Beyers firmly grip your head. There's not a lot of pressure, but at the same time, you can shake your head around and they won't move. They AKGs were always fatiguing after an hour or so, but the Beyers were so comfortable that I could all but forget I was wearing them.

Sonically, the Beyers are impressive. My AKGs always seemed light on bass. I'm not a bass fanatic, but when there is heavy bass, the headphones should translate it without scaling it back. The DT770s were appropriately punchy when it was called for, and subtle, but present the rest of the time. I never felt like the bass had a distinct roll off in the audible frequency range. With a lot of headphones, once you get below 60Hz, the bass power reduces noticeably, but not so much with the Beyers.

The midrange was quite smooth and blended seamlessly with the very precise highs. I wouldn't go so far as to call them crystalline, but they were very detailed and accurately reproduced the higher frequencies that get lopped off by lesser headphones. Overall, the sound was slightly more aggressive than with my Sennheiser HD600s. I think the HD600s are better if you just want to listen for pleasure, but when you're in the studio, you need something up-front and energized.

When I heard the DT770s, I was listening through a Digidesign interface, which had a dedicated headphone amplifier. This is critical, because without proper amplification, these headphones are perfectly capable of sounding dull and lifeless with anemic bass and little dynamic range. They're not going to work with your iPod unless you add a portable headphone amp. Similarly, they'll play reasonably loud out of your computer, but the precision and dynamic range won't be there. The DT770s are rated at 250 ohms making them sufficiently high to require more voltage than your portable devices can deliver. It's not like they'll make an ugly sound running directly out of your iPod - just that with extra power, they really become something special.

Overall, I highly recommend the DT770s to anyone looking to set up a home studio. They're analytical enough to reveal hidden details, but they still sound pleasing and won't fatigue your ears, even after long sessions. If you're wanting to listen directly from a portable device, the Grado SR60s will work much better. If you're wanting to listen for pleasure, I think the very high end Sennheisers are a little more musical. However, for all your recording/mixing/monitoring tasks, the Beyers are great. I highly recommend them

  4. clearest highs i've heard in a pair of cans; full sound with well-tuned bass (maybe not for hip-hop and electronica bass-lovers, though); SUPER comfortable; classic studio style.

however, be warned - works just alright straight out of an ipod or cd player, but can be a battery hog and really only does its best work when properly amplified, even with something as simple as a CMoy "Altoids-tin" op-amp - this really evens out the sound and make everything seems so much more present, and usually a little less dry, too.

  5. I am so pleased with these headphones. I haven't auditioned
the more expensive "audiophile class" headphones, but I doubt
my ears could detect the difference. But then again, these may
be as good as it gets, at least for the price. My primary genre
is classical music, and I'm trying to compose this review as I'm
listening to Brahm's 4th. Very difficult.

I'm sure what one hears depends in large part on the equipment up front. I'm listening through a thoroughly antique CD changer (SONY CDP-C50). Nevertheless, I'm just so happy with these cans!

  1. Bought this to mount my Pioneer PRO-110FD on SANUS LOWBOY STAND, JAVA SERIES Model JFV65e. It is very simple once I find the correct size bolts to use, this is a two person job as you need help to lift the TV on to the bracket.

  2. I bought this mount at BB for $200 then I saw it on amazon that night for $95. So of course I returned the one to BB. I had the geek squad install it so I cant review that aspect of it, but it has been perfect as far as everyday use.

  3. I was very impressed with the product, especially at the cheap price for the mount (until I checked it at Best Buy - twice as much!). Although I was very skeptical since this was my first LCD TV mounting and a 52", $3k one at that, the instructions were easy to follow and mounting was a breeze. One lesson I did learn, make sure you have a third person around to plug in any HDMI/coax cables or the power cord before you finally hang and lock the TV on the wall - there is VERY little wiggle room to reach those inserts once the TV is mounted. Took less than 40 minutes to measure, level, and mount the TV! Great product, heavy and durable...a definite must-buy at this price!

  4. sensational product, easy to install, top of the line construction!! dont even hesitate if your on the fence with the sanus, buy it!!

  5. Great Product. Holds My 52" Aquos just fine. save a ton of $$$$$ buy from Amazon
