5 comments about Sony MDR-J10 h.ear Headphones with Non-Slip Design (Green).
- These are a good replacement for the ipod ear buds, which I hate! They don't cost much, they don't fall out of your ear and it doesn't bother me when I end up giving them away to my nephew and neice, when they lose their headphones.
- I ordered the green earphones but got a dark pair. You would think you would get the color you ordered. I am not so happy about my order. I just wish I had gotten the correct color.
- I've had these for a long time, like well over a year. They've held up fine, no problems at all, and I love that they're not earbuds. For some reason I can't wear earbuds, they give me a blinding headache almost instantly. And over the head earphones mess up your hair and get in the way of wearing a hat. These don't, which is really the main selling point for me. The sound isn't going to blow you away, but they truly are comfortable.
Mine are exactly the shade of green shown. I think they make them in a lime green, too, for more money, but this green is kind of like an herb green or an olive green.
I like that it has an adjustable thingy that you can push up to keep the two earpieces together. The cable splits apart but there's a little sliding plastic piece that you can adjust anywhere from at the Y split to right at the earpieces themselves, if that makes sense. It's great because it helps it stay relatively untangled. It does tangle some though, just to warn you, but it's pretty easy to straighten out.
- Great headphones at a great price they stay on your ears comfortable and sound great too.
- The generally positive reviews about sound quality and fit spurred me to buy this product, and I found that they were much too loose for my ears. I'm happy with the sound quality and whatnot, but I've gained minimal utility from this purchase, perhaps because my ears are not of the standard size. If you suspect your ears are similarly non-typical, I suggest going with something else. I did give these to my boyfriend, who has lovely, and probably normally-sized ears, and he commends their quality.

5 comments about Memorex 700MB/80-Minute 52x CD-R Media (30-Pack with Jewel Cases).
- As the author of the Jefferson Airplane book "Take Me To A Circus Tent" and a former radio disc-jockey, I am often asked to write and or discuss various recordings from the 60's and 70's. Sometimes as a person that has worked in electronic stores my thoughts are requested on recording equipment and electronics.
Memorex 700MB/80-Minute 52x CD-R Media (30-Pack with Jewel Cases)
Memorex has been ultra reliable for me as a recording medium for blank CDR's. I have used a substantial amount over the years for both data and pictures (Notes on my Jefferson Airplane book "Take Me To A Circus Tent" and photos) and for various rock and roll albums.
The CD's have held up well and there have been very little that were defective right out of the package. While the quality control is a shade below the Fuji from Japan, in no way should Memorex be considered a poor second choice.
For maximum shelf life the recorded CD's should be in jewel cases (How nice is it they come in the package for us) and not in paper sleeves. If you are into making your own labels make sure to use the better quality paper. The inferior thin labels not only will curl up before they are placed on the CD but the glue will actually get into the CD itself. Many defective CD's are not the fault of the manufacturer but the consumer not using best judgment.
Enjoy the music and be well,
Craig Fenton
Author of the Jefferson Airplane book "Take Me To A Circus Tent"
- The CDs are fine. They work as expected. BUT, each slim-line jewel-case'd CD is individual shrink-wrapped, and non-trivial to open, creating pointless shrink-wrap waste to dispose of. Once you do manage to get the jewel case open, the prongs holding the CDs in place are poorly-designed, making it hard to remove the CD without breaking the prongs, thus rendering the jewel case paralyzed.
I'm sure that the CDs are great, maybe even superior to other major brands (though I can't really tell a difference). But due to the inordinately huge ordeal involved in getting the CD out of the packaging, I have no intention of ever purchasing Memorex optical media again.
- I hand these out to employees who come into the IT office needing bank CD's. The jewel cases can easily be emptied to look business professional and protect them good enough to be shipped or handed to a customer or co worker. The CD's are fairly typical, have little to no text on the top off color so you can write on them or apply a label.
- Memorex 700MB/80-Minute 52x CD-R Media (30-Pack with Jewel Cases)
I purchased these CD-Rs because they were advertised as having jewel cases, which to me always meant the old style full size cases(which I prefer), but it seems the term jewel case now applies also to the slim variety of jewel case which I could have just as easily bought at the local Best Buy or wherever without shipping cost or waiting for them to arrive. I shopped for them on Amazon because they are becoming hard to find with full size cases and I thought Amazon would carry a wider selection and I would get what I was looking for. One other problem, the discs have no labels or cards to write down what is on the disc after burning it. I guess I have to buy those separately, which I would have, had I known they wouldn't be included with the discs. I know the discs themselves have no problems but the advertising is lacking.
So, yes I am A Little Disappointed
- I received this item in great shape in a very timely manner. The combined disks and cases make this a very good value.

5 comments about IOGEAR 2-Port Compact USB VGA KVM with Built-in Cables (GCS42UW6).
- I'll be honest, I actually haven't used it (the GCS42U)yet, but I called IOGEAR tech support because I was having trouble with the I did buy (GCS32U). It turns out the GCS32U doesn't work well with a wireless Keyboard and Mouse that uses a single USB connection. They state that this (GCS42U) does. Hope this helps someone to not go through the pain I did...
- We bought this KVM to switch between two Dell PCs, one Optiplex GX620 and the other an older Optiplex model number unknown. It seemed like exactly what we needed, a nice, simple switch with a big button and no special key sequences required to switch between two machines that share a single monitor, USB keyboard and USB mouse.
Unfortunately it doesn't work reliably. Sure, it will switch a few times, maybe even a dozen, before locking up but for us it ALWAYS locked up eventually. When it does the keyboard and mouse are left in an unpowered state leaving you only one option - a hard reset of the computer. Removing and replacing the cable to force a USB enumeration does not help. Sometimes even the video goes dead.
To IOGear's credit their tech support is easy to reach and answered the phone quickly. The people there seemed knowledgeable about their products but they had no suggestions that could resolve the KVM problems and finally suggested that we return it for a refund. Unfortunately even the best support can't make a bad product work.
- This model KVM works with all operating systems, or so I was told by the IOGEAR help desk. Well, I don't know about all, but it does work with Microsoft Vista and NT. It seems to work just fine being able to toggle between my desktop and laptop. My only complaints are: there is no audio plug-in; and there is no shortcut command on the keyboard. You have to press a button on the KVM itself, which can be a pain depending on where you locate it.
- I have had the 2-port compact USB KVM swtich for about a month and it works great between the two computers I manage at work. Now I'm able to control both computers with just a keyboard, mouse and monitor.
- After trying the Belkin Flip that turned out to be incompatible (I have a Vista desktop, XP laptop & a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and Mouse), bought this one after chatting with an Iogear support person who suggested this model for my hardware setup.
Works great and saves me great effort to switch between the two PCs that I use. Space saver too. Hope it gives me a long life.
Recommend this one for Microsoft/Logitech Wireless keyboard and mouse. Please check with Iogear if your hardware setup is compatible with this switch before buying.
Hope that helps.

3 comments about Macbook 13" Silicone Keyboard Cover BLUE by MacTOP.
- Is exactly how pictured and fits my mac like a glove (I bought my mac in August 2006). Yes, it holds onto dust and random other particles that fall on it (something reminiscent of those big sticky-jelly hand thrower toys that a lot of us had as kids)but those things clean off just with brushing them off with your hand. I love this thing, I really feel more secure about my computer's safety with it. And this one is the exact same thing as those other ones priced a few bucks more from other vendors. If you want a keyboard cover, get this one. It's great.
- I like the Macbook silicone keyboard cover. It is slightly off in covering the function keys, but that is not a big problem. It has a spongy feel to the touch, and is nice against the finger tips when typing. Not to mention, a great price!
- i just got this cover a week ago and i love it more every day! even though it is so thin it still feels like there is a cushion under your wrists. typing is also so better because it is so comfortable. the only thing you have to get used to is that you have to press the keys a little harder but you get used to it in about 5 minutes! it also makes me feel better when my laptop is closed because it creates a cushion between the top and bottom. This is a very great product!

1 comments about Discgear Selector 100-Disc HD Disc Storage System - Brown.
- Everyone should have several of these. These organizers are awesome. They have numbered slots and a pop out tray for you to list your collection and easily access the one you want. Just press in the tab, bring it to the slot, press the button, and it'll pull out the disc you want for you.
Discgear also have online organization software for you to keep track of all your collections and move discs between them. It lets you print out title sheets, disc labels, etc... Very handy and convenient.
My one minor qualm with these is that they're pretty sturdy, but I'd recommend against transporting the discs in them. The discs would probably get scratched up a bit. So if you're looking for a portable organizer, this probably isn't for you.
If you don't want to lug your discs around, this is probably the best you can get.

4 comments about USB Based Expresscard Adapter.
- Be sure that your ExpressCard is USB based before ordering. PCMCIA ExpressCard products, such as the Verizon wireless cards, won't work. I now gather (and others more technically oriented should feel free to chime in here) there are two different types of ExpressCards. Nothing in the Verizon literature makes that clear, but at least this product is well labelled - it just won't work with the other type of cards.
- I bought this because I got a PC Express Verizon wireless data card for my MacBook Pro that I also wanted to be able to use on my IBM ThinkPad, which only has regular PC Card slots. It worked like a charm; no hassle at all.
- I use it with my 16GB Lexar ExpressCard SSD, works just fine. Be careful, some ExpresCard devices use USB (which this adapter provides), and some don't.
- I bought this adapter so that I could use my Lexar 8GB Expresscard SSD with my work Laptop (Toshiba Tecra M5). Plug it in, count to 10 and bang. It's there and it just works. Windows identifies it with no need for extra drivers or anything. File transfers click along at acceptable speeds with no issues at all.
Keep in mind that this adapter will stick out about an inch from the side of the laptop once fully inserted so if you're hoping to leave it in all the time you may be disappointed.

4 comments about Maxell 3.5-mm-to-RCA A/V Splitter with 3.5-mm Cable.
- I had previously purchased one from ebay and the wires were thin, this is sturdy and durable works like a charm.
- Works well and as described. No color switching required for the cables when used with iPod (many other similar products do with a similar price range). I say go for this one!
- This audio cable works as described. The sound quality is excellent, with no noticeable defects or distortions even at high volumes. Video quality is as good as it can be, considering that the videos are sized to natively look good on a three inch screen.
- I almost returned this product because I couldn't get it to work with my 30g video ipod and then found the following in the reviews for another similar product. Hope it helps someone else:
"The AV Cable allows you to connect your iPod/iPhone with color screen to your home entertainment system. Now you can view your videos, pictures or slideshows with audio on your home television.
Setting Up Your iPod Video Options Before Watch iPod Video on TV
1.Turn on your iPod, choose Videos -> Video Settings from your main iPod menu. This screen will show three settings: TV Out, TV Signal and Widescreen.
2.Select TV Out, make sure you select "On" that will produce TV signal.
3.TV Signal: If you live in the U.S., your TV works with the NTSC standard. European countries mostly use PAL.
4.Widescreen: You can choose "On" to produce a widescreen signal (16:9), or "off" to export the traditional TV output (4:3)."

- Real nice price and perfect length for between the router and cable modem to reduce cable clutter!
- It is a Cat 5e cable. No batteries, no lights, nothing fancy, just a cable. It works just fine and would be hard to mess up. Still it is appreciated that it worked just fine for the application and there were no headaches.

4 comments about Skullcandy Chops Hanger Earbuds - Black and Chrome.
- these are my second pair of skullcandy headphones and just AS I EXPECTED they truley rock.
- Normally, I love skullcandy merchandise. But these chops feel like headphones from the dollar tree.
The sound quality is mediocre at best.
But the confort it provides is decent given that it stays on your ears because it clips there.
But what really makes these headphones terrible, and hopefully a flaw that most skullcandy headphones won't have, is the lifespan of the plug.
I've taken good care of my chops, and they barely lasted me 2 weeks before the plug began to act up, and die.
Terrible product!
- Over the past few years, I've converted to buying skullcandy products. I have a pair of Smokin' Buds, as well as Lowriders. Both I am completely impressed with and love to wear.
Therefore, when I decided to get some over-the-ear headphones to wear for sports (I snowboard), I automatically went with skullcandy. BAD IDEA. Straight out of the package, I skimmed my iPod for a good song to test them out on. I tried them with Chamillionaire...the bass wasn't even audible. I tried Aerosmith...the high notes were grainy and unbearable to listen to. I tried Death Cab for Cutie...even the middle-ground notes were fuzzy and really made me want to just turn off my iPod.
They're comfortable, I'll give them that...but as for actually listening to anything with them on, probably not going to happen. And, for 20 bucks, I expect way more. Wal-Mart can give me $5 headphones that work better than this! I returned mine today (I bought them yesterday) and spent 10 more bucks for the Nike Vapors. WAY better.
Actually, anything would be better than these...
- I bought these as a replacement for some old Sony headphones that I have had for years. Now, I don't any of the ear buds nor do I own any of the other larger versions that this company makes. I do own one set of overpriced earphones that have a very tinny sound (tinny not tiny) that not only won't stay in my ears when I work out, they won't even stay in when I am sitting still. Do yourself a favor and buy a pair of ten dollar Sony's that stay in, have a good sound and block out any outside noise.
