2 comments about DirecTV RC23 Universal Remote Control.
- My wife needed a remote for her night stand so we could both control the Direct Tv receiver. It is an exact copy in every way of the original and works great. I thought this was a great investment.
- This remote is an excellent replacement for the standard peanut shaped DirecTv remote control. I am using it to control my Hughes HD TiVo DirecTv receiver, A Sony HD 42" LCD TV, a Sony STRDa5ES DTS surround sound home theater receiver and a Sony 400 disc DVD changer. This one remote allows me to control all of these devises without a complicated macro monster screen and I can operate everything in the dark because of the easily identified (by feel)buttons on the remote. The buttons have a very solid feel but it may take a day or so to re-orient your fingers to the new locations compared with the pld DirecTV peanut remote.
I do not like touch screen remotes because of the light they emit and the tediousness of needing to directly look at the remote, identify the touch screen button and then touch it, and then re-focus on the television screen. With a simple remote like this you can just do it all by feel.
The RC-23 remote is solid in your hand, lays flat on your side or coffee table and seems less apt to break in a fall than the original DirectTv Peanut remote. I would recommend this as a worthwhile replacement if your peanut remote is not performing as it once did after a few drops or spills.

2 comments about Panasonic RP-HV280 Portable Earbud Headphones with In-Cord Volume Control.
- I have tried most all brands of ear buds, including both open type that sit in outer ear and types that are built to seal off the ear canal (usually, those provide the most base if you can take the feeling of them in your ear). For those that sit in the outside of the year, these are among the best sounding ear buds I have ever heard. I only tried them because I had bought a Panasonic MP3 Player for my brother, and was startled by how excellent the sound was with the enclosed ear buds for the money. I have tried the ear buds (extensively) from Apple, Creative, iriver, Koss, JVC (Gummy), etc. These are better than any of those because of vastly superior base response for the open ear type of bud. All such buds work the best if you get and use the little foam covers for them. This pair comes with those, however, the ones you can get in a pack of four at Radio Shack are better(the covers, that is). These ear buds are excellent for 20 bucks, and sound better than any I know of that you can buy separately like this, of the open, sit in the outer ear type.
- This is definitely a great earphone for its price. I just got it today and it works great. The downside to it is that the volume control doesn't control the volume as well as it says. It does go from maximum volume to minimum volume, but it doesn't slide from maximum volume to mute as a regular volume control would. But you could always silent it on the cd player, iPod or computer. Anyway, works great!

- This thing cracked a lil when i took it out but its holdin up ok
- No disappointment here. Item was exactly as described. Arrived on time and in perfect condition. I had purchased it previously for $15.99 then found it online for $4.99. Needless to say, I returned my previous purchase and will order from this company again.
- The case is very bad. It is imposible to get off of my ipod and it makes it hard to use the clickwheel
- I love the crystal case. The only problem is I can't hook it onto anything. Perfect if you just want to put the ipod in a pocket.
- i got my case and i love it. the hard case is just what i needed. i have dropped my ipod a few times since i got the case and it has held up great.

1 comments about HP D1560 Deskjet Printer.
- To get the newest model of HP's Deskjets, I paid Amazon top dollar ($81.99 plus shipping) for this basic printer, model D1560. Upon installing the two cartridges, types 22 (color) and 21 (black), the display on the computer indicated that the black cartridge was defective. I had ordered another one and opened and tried that one. Also defective! After consulting with 3 technicians, we drew the conclusion that there are TWO TYPES OF CARTRIDGE NO. 21: one with a black label and one with a white label. The printer has a sensor that can tell the difference. This model takes both cartridges with white labels, but what was shipped with the unit was the correct color cartridge and the incorrect black one. I bought the correct one locally, although the number of this new model, D1560, is not printed on the box. Apparently, if the box says D1460 (among many other numbers), as my correct cartridge's box does, it is probably the right one for D1560. This is not at all indicated to Amazon's customers in the information on either the printer or the cartridges. I give it a 3-star evaluation due to this HUGE inconvenience and expense. But now with the right cartridge, it works fine (at least on the first page so far).

2 comments about HDMI 3 Meter (10 Feet) Super High Resolution Cable.
- It works superbly and costs a fraction of its competitor's prices for similar if not exact items.
- This is a $10 cable, so don't expect a clear picture. On my DLP, the picture quality is bad enough that I won't use the cable.

5 comments about Vantage Point WC60W Paintable Wire Cover System.
- These covers are fantastic. They are not as wide as I had hoped, but they do a great job of hiding the cables. They are easy to paint and look good against the wall once they are. I recommend these for those with flat panel televisions that wish to hide the audio/video cables.
- The system is easy to work with, and with a hacksaw you can easily cut the pieces for a custom length.
With the Vantage Point WC60W I was able to fit the TV power cord, an RF coaxial cable, an HDMI cable, and a composite w/audio pair into the track with no problem. A comcast-style 5-wire component with audio cable bundle plus a power cord may not fit, I didn't try it, though.
The covers snap on securely, and the kit ships with a bunch of screws, enough drywall anchors to get 'er done, and has a foam-sticky-tape option already installed on the back, too.
Once installed, the whole deal looks really pro and is what I'd call as close to a "built-in installation" as you can get for the money.
A good value, it looks so good that you actually don't even notice it.
- Pros:
Looks good, easily cuttable for customization. I'll be taking advantage of the paintable option later, but I like that.
Cons:
Realistically, with good quality cables (which tend to be slightly bigger), this will only hold three cables (and maybe a thin power cord if you can finesse it.) Example: I have no extra room in one with a composite cable, a coax cable and an HDMI cable. Also, once the cover is snapped on securely, I'm not sure it will be very easy/possible to remove it, given the design of the clips.
- This wire cover is paintable and looks nice on the wall, but is very narrow and will only hold 2-3 cables. For this reason, I had to order 2 of these and install them side-by-side. I would recommend it to anyone who only needs to hide 2 or 3 cables, but if you have more than that then you might be better off saving yourself the trouble and finding a larger cover.
- This wire cover looks good but, way over priced. I returned mine and just put the wires in the wall, cost < $5.00.

5 comments about Marware Sport Grip Case for iPhone 1G (Pink).
- I wanted something simple to protect my iPhone in my purse, or in case I drop it. Unfortunately all the cases I found at retail stores were bulky, expensive, hard plastic or leather monstrosities with many more bells and whistles than I need. I ordered a couple of these Marware skins to try them out -- one in pink because I like pink, and another one in black in case the pink one turned out to be a nasty Barbie pink. I was not disappointed at all. The pink is a great color, quite a bit lighter than pictured, and the black is good for when I need to be more professional.
The Sport Grip is good quality, smooth silicone, not sticky, and fits perfectly without adding bulk. All the holes are in the right places, and even the buttons are protected but still function well. The only thing you can't do with the iPhone in the Sport Grip is put it in the dock, but you can plug it into the regular charger just fine.
The Sport Grip also comes with a thin plastic shield for the touch screen, but I haven't used it yet and probably won't bother. The silicone part alone works just fine for my needs.

Get a Grip
Protection. Performance. Price. Marware's Sport Grip excels in all.
I was looking for a thin, protective, and inexpensive case for my iPhone knowing that most third party products are bulky, shabby, and overpriced. There are other cases that look better, but Marware's Sport Grip offers the best-looking protection and grip for the iPhone (which is a particularly dense, slick device; and therefore very easy to drop). While I am very impressed with the design and appearance of the Cozip case, I would still recommend the Marware Sport Grip because of its more industrial-strength grip and protection.
If protecting your iPhone from the hard knocks of life is your top priority, then this is the case for you. There are two caveats however that both relate to dust.
The first caveat is applying the clear screen protector without trapping air, lint, or dust below it. Eventually I got it perfectly, but you must be very careful and patient with this protector until it is properly applied. While the iPhone's screen is reputed to be extremely scratch resistant, I prefer the extra protection afforded by this clear protector.
Use the supplied microfiber cloth (and Dust-Off, if you have it) to clean your iPhone very thoroughly first. Apply the screen protector as instructed in a clean and well-lighted place. You will most likely have to make several attempts, but eventually it will work perfectly. I used a Swiss Army knife toothpick to lift the protector off the screen to reapply, but any sharp non-metal object should work as well.
If you do get lint below the screen protector (as I did), don't give up. Simply saturate a few cotton balls in pure rubbing alcohol (99%) and gently wipe the clinging side of the protector from edge to edge in one motion on a fresh sheet of office paper. Keep wiping until the entire protector surface is clean, then blot the alcohol off using another fresh sheet of office paper. Reapply the protector as instructed. It took me several attempts of cleaning and reapplying, but eventually it clung perfectly to the iPhone screen and disappeared almost entirely.
I know this sounds overly meticulous, but a little extra care while applying the screen protector will greatly enhance your experience with this product and your iPhone. Once the protector and skin are on, you will lose virtually none of the iPhone performance while gaining significantly enhanced grip and protection.
The second caveat is the amount of dust the high-friction silicone skin attracts. This sword cuts both ways. To me, this is a feature and not a bug as I prefer that my phone stay securely where I put it. Naturally, the silicone case clings to pockets while attracting lint, dust, etc. That's the point. Just about any other material slides around, which is exactly what I don't want.
For me, this is a small sacrifice when compared to the amount of sure grip and protection it affords. I also prefer that my iPhone not slide out of my coat pocket when I stoop down, but the tradeoff is that it doesn't slip into your pocket as easily and definitely attracts dust and lint. However, the skin itself is quite easy to remove from the iPhone to rinse off and blot-dry, so I don't see this as a huge disadvantage when compared to the enhanced grip and protection.
I would easily pay double the price for this product as it is the most protective, highest performance, and least obstructive iPhone case, but Marware's Sport Grip is a real bargain at around $10. At this price, I haven't found any other products that look as good while protecting so well.
I highly recommend this product to those who value protection and performance over appearance.
- this shows a HOT pink case, it came in and is a light see through pink. Doesn't match photo at all.
- This case feels great in your hands. More cushioning in the back makes it easier to hold. The pink color is more subtle that what is shown in the picture. Fits snugly on Iphone. Wish they made more colors.
- I am pleased with this purchase! It not only protects my phone but it keeps it from slipping out of my hand or sliding down surfaces. I would purchase again.
