4 comments about Tripp Lite A102-04M Digital Optical Audio Cable, 2x Toslink - 4M (13ft).
- These cables were exactly what I expected. Plugged 'em in to the optical ports - they snap in - and boom - out came dolby 5.1 through the speakers.
- The cable is what I expected but it took them way too long to process and ship the order.
- What else can I say? It's a long digital optical audio cable and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Amazon's price is ok if you include the shipping with Amazon Prime. Otherwise there are cheaper sellers but watch out for their shipping charges!
- Don't shy away because it's inexpensive for it's length. I've had no problems whatsoever.

5 comments about JBL Reference 220 Headphone (Black).
- I was so excited when I got these earphones - they look great, they seem really well made, they are beautifully presented in their box and come with some awesome accessories like the carry case. Then I put them on, plugged them into my ipod and.... no bass. And I'm not exactly a base-fiend, I don't turn up the volume all the way or anything. But I expect to be able to hear drums and bass guitars. It's like they're completely hollow. I am going back to my $8 Sony earphones.
- I've been using the JBL references with my ipod for about 8 months now. So much better than the white iPod headphones.
Pros:
- Plenty of bass
- Nice middle range and overall sound
- Small physical size
- Cool cord/cable
- NO LEAKING SOUND - I turn up my music all the way and nobody in public places can hear what Im listening to.
- Good included accessories in the package - extra size buds, case, and bigger line-in adapter
- REALLY expensive for headphones in their division
Cons:
Honestly I really can't think of any
- I bought this item and it just came a couple days ago and accidentally I ran over it with my car it cracked a little bit but it was still working good after it happened so it is very durable even after it was crushed. I just bought another because its the best I ever owned.
- I bought these earbuds at a local department store and instantly fell in love with them. What I didn't realize at the time was that I could buy them through Amazon and get them for less than HALF of what I paid for them in the store (INCLUDING SHIPPING)! I quickly took them back and preceded to buy these on line. Incredible! Thanks, Amazon!
Now to elaborate on the header: I own a pair of high end JBL speakers that I have had since the mid 80's. They are phenomenal. I love JBL's products and these earbuds were no exception. The 'buds have the signature JBL sound.
I also own a tube amp for my guitar. Some of my friends argue with me that the tube sound is out of date and archaic. The bass in these earbuds have that special warmth that Shure, Sony and JVC lack. The other brands are good, don't misunderstand me... They just don't have the "presence" these little babies have.
I enjoy a wide range of music: from AC/DC to Sinatra, The Who to Lionel Hampton and Olivia Newton John to Meat Puppets. It ALL sounds good on these 'buds!
I am considering getting a backup pair, God forbid something happens to these. I read somewhere they don't make them anymore? Pity...
Yeah, there is a little extra "umph" in the bass. Listen to a movie soundtrack and you will feel like you are there in the theater, the way they shake your head...
If you love bass and understand the "tube amp" argument, you better buy a pair of these while you still can!!!
- I was prepared to be knocked down by the bass and overall sound of the JBL220. Instead I've heard really good sound, but it is hard to get real bass from the headphones. I think the clue is to learn how to wear it - it is not enough just to stick it into earhole - the silicon ring must somehow well fit in the canal - and for the first time it is not easy to get it on. When you learn how to were the eraphones you can start searching for the bass, there are some good fitting when you hear the reall bass, but I was expecting more. I've never heared the Bose in-ear so I cannot compare it. What else I can tell - they sounds better with iPhone than iPod classic 80GB. Best thing - they really sit in you ear, very good cord (material). The worst thing - when you move and you touch the cord - you hear "scratches".

5 comments about TRENDnet USB to Parallel 1284 Converter.
- At first, I was looking at a docking station for my new laptop with Vista but they were very expensive and the reviews were mediocre. My HP Laserjet 1100 was the only peripheral that used a 36p parallel port to a 25p serial port on the computer so the cheapest and easiest solution was to get an adapter that goes from a 36p male parallel to a USB port. The reviews I was ready about other adapters states that they did not work with Vista so I was on a quest to find an adapter that worked with Vista. The maker of this adapter stated that it would work with Vista so I bought it. Unfortunately, I didn't realize at the time that the HP serial port to the printer is a 36p but the size of the port was WAY smaller than the one on the new adapter. To solve this problem, I had to buy converter that was a 25p female serial on one side and a 36p female parallel on the other. Even after this manipulation, it still worked great. It's a good product.
- I bought 3 of these for some new Dell desktops but after hours of very poor "help" from Trendnet tech support (including 3 hangups on me) and one shorted OKI 320 power supply I finally decided to give Trendnet the boot. I bought PCI parallel cards and was up and running in minutes.
- When I switched to VISTA, I was worried that my HP LaserJet 6p would have difficulties connecting to a USB connection as my new machine did not have any old printer cable slots. This cable worked perfectly and my VISTA computer recognized the HP 6p printer right away.
- This cable is a must if you have a Laptop that doesn't have a parallel port. Nothing to install, just plug n play!
- No problem, I plugged it in and Vista installed the drivers automatically and it all just worked, no problem. HP laptop, HP 932C printer, and Vista. Great price on this item considering I could have easily paid $45 for the equivalent at a big box store. I've been very happy with my printer and have no desire to upgrade while it's still doing a great job, so this cable made it possible to keep it with a new computer.

- fantastic product, easy to install, easy to use, clear voice recording, although my power adaptor stoped working for some reason, but i replaced it.
- This isn't the greatest electronic product ever released, but it does what it's supposed to, and the price is very good.

5 comments about Koss QZ-99 Noise Reduction Stereophone.
- These KOSS headphones perform as advertised and then some! I can no longer hear my wife's soaps while I'm enjoying pleasant classical music and using my computer. The noise cancelling feature is great!
- I bought these so my wife could listen to her MP3 player while mowing with the garden tractor. These work as both hearing protection from the tractor noise, as well as headphones. Even with the headphone volume up all the way,the music volume was marginal. If you have a weak source, these may not be the phones for you. Sound quality is ok, but I really bought these for sound isolation more than audio quality. The phones seal around the ears very well, but are still comfortable. These were the most reasonably-priced phones for my application.
I will also use these with my scanner at the local race track. The mono/stereo switch is convenient to listen to mono sources such as the scanner.
- At first look it don't look that good. Once I started actually using it, I liked it very much. The volume control knob on the side of the earphone and the ear comfort was nice and comfortable. I have only had it a few weeks, so you should ask me in a year how I feel. As a general rule the other headphones I had only lasted a year. I hope this one lasts much longer because I really like it.
- really I don't see why these deserve anything less than a 5 star, so that's what I'm going to give.
I like how tight these headphones are and the fact that other people can't hear anything you're listening to, even at full volume. The sound isn't perfect, but it's good enough. And they look very cool ;)
- I bought these mainly for the warranty, as I've used many good headphones that would just quit shortly after the warrant period. A lifetime warranty is very helpful.
As for the headphones themselves, they surpassed my expectations for a forty dollar set. I was really impressed by the sound isolation. I'm taking these to college dorms, where sound echos like crazy, and these headphones muffle up the environment noise quite a bit.
The fit is about average. I could feel it pressing against my head, but the ear cups were very large and ample for my ears.
The sound is above average. It's not the best ever, but it's definitely good for the price paid. This is NOT for bass enthusiasts. The bass is pretty non existent compared to DJ headphones. But I listen to a lot of vocals, and they come through pretty clearly.
Overall, I'd recommend these to anyone who doesn't need bass. I took off one star just for the bass, but really I'd give it four and a half, since bass isn't too important to me.

5 comments about Eforcity Black Leather Case with Strap and Belt Clip for Apple iPod Video 60GB / 80GB / iPod Classic BONUS Screen Protector!!.
- Yes, this is an aswsome case - but unless I misunderstood - I read that it was for the **80gb Apple iPod Classic**. WRONG! The pocket the iPod slips into is so deep I could seriously fit 2 of my iPods into it. I can fully slide my fingers behind it! (NOT a good thing) So when you open the case and the iPod falls back, there is seriously 1/4" ((at least)) gap between the cover and the screen/wheel. I'm going to have to stuff "something" behind the iPod just to pull it forward to use it comfortably. Good thing it was cheap or I'd be upset!
Otherwise a 5-star awesome case. LOL
- I purchased this case for my new iPod 80gb 6th Generation Classic. First off when I opened the package it stank to high heaven. Smelled like some toxic chemicals where used to put it together. Leaving it out to air out for a few days finally took care of that issue. Then when I slipped my iPod into it, found out the case is almost double the width of the iPod. I had to put a piece of fur fabric in behind my iPod to push it out to the front of the case. Without the fur my iPod moved around all over the place. I wish I would of looked for a better fitting case!
I am giving it 2 stars .......1) because the case is made of soft leather and it does protect my iPod........2) because of the price.
If your looking for a case for the 80gb 6th generation iPod Classic....look somewhere else, this is not the case for you!!!!!!!!!
- "I love the case it is very nice althought the belt buckle is made cheaply and had trouble putting it on I finaly did and I love. Oh also the case is a little to large for the classic it moves around with about a centimeter to spare and each time you scroll up and down you have to reposition it. Overall it is nice."
- Stylish and great leather protector for my ipod video. It's durable and holds tightly, I do not need to worry it will slip off from my bag. Appreciate with the fast delivery.
- Let me first say that this is not a top-notch product. It's very inexpensive and the quality somewhat reflects that. However, I am very pleased with the overall quality for the price. The holes are generally cut in the right place and the leather quality is reasonable. The magnetic flip cover is really nice.
If you don't need the best of the best quality (i.e. $20+) case, this may be perfect. My own iPod sits in my car's glove compartment 99% of the time, so this case is absolutely perfect. I almost bought something more expensive but I'm glad I "settled" for this less expensive version.

5 comments about DLO Jam Jacket with Cord Management for iPod nano 3G (Black).
- This I-Pod jacket was really worth the money!! rather than wrapping the
head phones around the I-Pod and messing it up you could wrap around the back and even insert the headphones!! this prevents your head phones from tangling up which could sometimes be frustrating.
- i love it this thing! It keeps my earphone neat and in place and I love how it fits my nano so well. It is also great because the bottom of my ipod is exposed so I do not have to take the cover off to charge my ipod or sync it to my itunes! I would highly recommend this product.
- It will stock into your pockets and the cord management isn't as practical as I tought.
-
I am quite satisfied with this product. It offers good protection for my Nano 3G and the cord storage for the ear buds is very handy when traveling.
- I love these jackets and i have bought them for everyone i know that owns an ipod. i have always had issues with getting my ipod earbuds untangled from a mess when i would toss my ipod into my purse; this jacket keeps everything organized and untangled. the jacket has a good feel to it and it has yet to slip from my hand. the silicone holds the ipod very snug and i am still able to use my click wheel without any interference. i highly recommend any and all of the DLo jackets to anyone who uses ipod earbuds. this jacket doesn't work w/earbuds that aren't the shape of the apple ones, so be aware that you have to be using the ones provided with your ipod for this to hold them.

5 comments about Addonics ADIDESA 150 Mbps IDE to Serial ATA Converter.
- works fine with old IDE hard drives.
works excellent in Raid 0 , boots up with no problem !
very recommended!
- My new Dell 530 had only SATA power plugs to support the 4 possible SATA drives. There are NO MOLEX connectors. There is one mini 4-pin bridge off one of the SATA power plugs that will support the Addonics converter, however the so called T cable Addonics provides has one Molex female, One molex male, and one mini SATA 4-pin female, so no way to connect to the 530 power supply. You will need to order a "SATA 15-pin Power to 4-pin Molex Adaptor. Addonics has this and should be ordered WITH the SATA/EIDE board, or else you will do as I did, lose a week with a 15 mile trip to get converter cables that would not work, and finally an additional $12.50 in postage for a $4 part.
The drive seems to work as expected for a Sony product - Just great!
- It works as advertised. Mine came with instructions as apposed to some of the other reviews. The down side of this adapter is the fact that it takes a god awful long time for the BIOS to detect the drive.
- The converter works well.
If you have new computer that has only SATA power connections, you should buy from Addonics, in the same order, "15-pin SATA to 4-pin Molex power connector".
Note that jumper setting on your IDE drive should depend on its function, i.e., master, slave or single. "Cable Select" setting works, as well, if your IDE drive has that option.
Good luck!
- I used the product on two Maxtor IDE drives and installed them in a Compaq Presario SR450F running Vista Home Premium with SATA interfaces. I ordered the extra cables indicated by other reviewers, but did not need them. Everything I needed was in the box including instructions. The one thing not covered in the instructions was the presence of a sticky foam pad on the unit, that I assume is designed to keep the IDE interface from becoming loose. The sticky part didn't really seem to make enough contact with the drive to help. I used it on one drive but not the other.
I installed the units and fired up the machine. Both drives showed up without a problem. Vista did have to change some permissions on the drive that had XP on it, but it did it automatically for me although it took a couple of minutes. I'm completely satisfied, except that I have to pay shipping to send back the unused cables so I won't really get my money back.

5 comments about Griffin AirDock Docking Station for iPod w/RF Remote.
- This is a very nice looking product that I bought because of that and its A- rating on iLounge.
What I found was that the audio quality was poor, presumably because the dock has another (and not very good) amplification stage so volume can be adjusted via the remote. Not even close to the quality you get from a dock which just takes the line level signal straight from the iPod via the dock connector.
And each time you play the iPod, the volume level reverts to the dock's relatively low default level, so using it in an audio system means adjusting level (on the dock or on the audio system) every time.
I regret having purchased this unit.
- In my experience, Griffin makes a solid product at a reasonable price. So for me, the bar was set pretty high when I had the chance to review another of their products. The Griffin AirDock is a docking station made for any iPod with the standard docking connector. This would include most full-sized iPods and both generations of Nano. The iPod Shuffle won't work. The AirDock comes with a (radio-based) remote control, a composite video cable, and an AC wall plug. It's constructed of silver anodized aluminum over a plastic core and resembles the industrial design of the Mac and Macbook Pro.
To set the unit up, simply snap-in the right iPod adaptor to get a snug fit for your model. Plug-in the power cable, and run the composite video cable to your home entertainment system. The power cable is a standard USB with a small AC brick for the wall. Set the iPod into the dock and use either the iPod's controls or the Griffin remote to play audio or (if your iPod supports it) video content to your TV. Or you can use the USB cable to connect your iPod to a computer. No software is required.
I found the setup, and controls to be intuitive and didn't need any instructions. I was up and working in seconds. The remote is radio based, not infrared, so you are not restricted to line-of-sight to use it. A bonus. The range is adequate for a large room, but I sometimes found that I had to repeat the button push to get a result. This was not dependant on distance. There is a slight time lag between pressing the remote key and getting the response in the iPod. The bottom of the AirDock is a non-slip rubber material. If your entertainment center is near your computer, you can attach the AirDock to both simultaneously. It can be your one 'dock' for everything: sync, charging, and sending content to your TV.
All told, I am very impressed with the AirDock. And it's slight shortcomings with the remote would not sway me from a 5 of 5 rating. Well done Griffin.... Again.
- This is a great product with very few downsides. The Air-Dock basically allows you to listen and charge your iPod through a wireless or wired device (such as a wireless speaker system or hard-wired stereo). You can even watch iPod-loaded videos on your TV. I hooked mine up to a Brookstone portable wireless indoor/outdoor single-speaker system (I call it the egg cause it looks like one) and it works great. However, the best feature of this device is that it has a RF or Radio Frequency remote control, meaning the remote will work in any room of the house up to 60ft away. You don't have to be directly in front of the dock for it to work---NICE!!! The remote starts/pauses, skips forward or back within a playing track, advances to next or back to previous track, and adjusts volume up and down. The downside is that being an RF device, if you have other wireless devices in the house, you may experience occasional song skip or a repeat of last song. Thankfully, it does not happen often. Otherwise, to me this is the king of remote controlled iPod players. Worth every penny.
- I took a chance that it would work with the iPod Touch, but it seems to be hit or miss.
The charging works great via computer and the provided AC adapter, but I kept getting a connection error via iTunes. [I think Vista is assuming it's a digital camera.]
For those interested in my setup, I'm running Windows Vista, iTunes version 7.6.1.9 and have a 16gb iPod Touch (1.1.4 with software upgrade). The universal adapter fit, but didn't seem to improve connectivity.
It's not a total bust since I can use it as a stylish charging cradle, I just wish I could sync with it as well.
Update: I was able to finally get iTunes to recognize the iPod. It only seemed to work on one of my front USB ports.
Quick note - 07/12/08: Upgrading to 2.0 pretty much renders this useless. It will recharge, but iTunes will not recognize an iPod has been attached.
- this product is very easy to hook up to your cpu, stereo, etc. i connected the docking station to my stereo receiver and the sound quality is less than desirable. many folks may not notice the sound quality but it was obvious to me. also, the connection uses the ipods headphone jack vs rca connections. i bought the radio shack docking station and the sound is much improved.
