  1. This mount was easy to install. All the screws were labelled and easy to ID. It is a simple mount, but it does the job well. I would buy it again.

  2. Make sure it fits your TV. Our 42IN TV is too wide for this even though the size is according to what it is stated. Then, we have to go through the hassle of returning it.

  3. I found this out the hard way. The mount is not bad at all. The problem I ran into is that the Vizio 32' lcd I was going to mount has two set of mounting holes in the back. One set of M4 holes and one set of M8's. I really did not want to mount it with those little M4's. The problem was that it did not come with a set of M'8s. You have to purchase the next one up to get the M8 screws. So I ended up using my drill press and make the places a little bigger to accept the M8's. I could not find on Vizio's site anywhere that said what the size of the holes were. I purchased some M8's off the shelf at Lowe's and that worked. So try to make sure what size mounting screws you need and that will help. The mount was pretty easy to install once I found the studs and my wife helped me hang it. Another thing I ran into is that the bottom part of the mount has some security screws that you can turn to keep the bottom of the mount from being knocked off. That is great but the screws are an allen screw(supplied with a allen wrench) that have that knock out in the middle of the head. So you have to use it. Bad part was that when that close to the wall you can only turn a half turn at a time. Not to bad just a pain.

  4. Installation is easier than the manual makes it out to be. Simple and effective tilt. Product is as advertised. Would recommend to friends and family.

  5. This is a solid wall mount. My only grip is that once it is hung, it's a little difficult to change out any cables if needed without physically pulling the TV off of it. Otherwise, its solid.

  1. I bought a firewire 800 card as I was told it was the state of the art and backware compatible. I wasn't told that it has a different plug. So I bought this cord. Works great and isn't as bulky as adding adapters.

  2. I bought this for my Firewire Drobo in order to make it compatible with my computer's Firewire port. Data transfer speeds are as fast as ever, and the price is very reasonable!

5 comments about Koss QZ-99 Noise Reduction Stereophone.
  1. These KOSS headphones perform as advertised and then some! I can no longer hear my wife's soaps while I'm enjoying pleasant classical music and using my computer. The noise cancelling feature is great!

  2. I bought these so my wife could listen to her MP3 player while mowing with the garden tractor. These work as both hearing protection from the tractor noise, as well as headphones. Even with the headphone volume up all the way,the music volume was marginal. If you have a weak source, these may not be the phones for you. Sound quality is ok, but I really bought these for sound isolation more than audio quality. The phones seal around the ears very well, but are still comfortable. These were the most reasonably-priced phones for my application.

I will also use these with my scanner at the local race track. The mono/stereo switch is convenient to listen to mono sources such as the scanner.

  3. At first look it don't look that good. Once I started actually using it, I liked it very much. The volume control knob on the side of the earphone and the ear comfort was nice and comfortable. I have only had it a few weeks, so you should ask me in a year how I feel. As a general rule the other headphones I had only lasted a year. I hope this one lasts much longer because I really like it.

  4. really I don't see why these deserve anything less than a 5 star, so that's what I'm going to give.
I like how tight these headphones are and the fact that other people can't hear anything you're listening to, even at full volume. The sound isn't perfect, but it's good enough. And they look very cool ;)

  5. I bought these mainly for the warranty, as I've used many good headphones that would just quit shortly after the warrant period. A lifetime warranty is very helpful.

As for the headphones themselves, they surpassed my expectations for a forty dollar set. I was really impressed by the sound isolation. I'm taking these to college dorms, where sound echos like crazy, and these headphones muffle up the environment noise quite a bit.

The fit is about average. I could feel it pressing against my head, but the ear cups were very large and ample for my ears.

The sound is above average. It's not the best ever, but it's definitely good for the price paid. This is NOT for bass enthusiasts. The bass is pretty non existent compared to DJ headphones. But I listen to a lot of vocals, and they come through pretty clearly.

Overall, I'd recommend these to anyone who doesn't need bass. I took off one star just for the bass, but really I'd give it four and a half, since bass isn't too important to me.

  1. good quality cable, black with white connectors at the ends.

It is indeed dual-link as listed, and my cable allows me to connect to a 30" apple cinema display at a beautiful 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution.

    no complaints

  2. I mean what can be said of a cable? It's long -- a little too long for my situation. It's a decent quality cable and it seems to work well. Other than that, I don't know what else to say.

  3. Did not know if this cable would be too long. Using it to connect a Radeon HD 2600 PRO 256 MB Vista PC to a LCD TV 1080i running at 1360 X 768 as a multi media system. The cable flexible and the video looks fine. Paid just under $25.

  4. I bought this item because i got a new monitor with dvi-d input and plug my graphics card to get better video cuality, is a good choice if you want to get all the definition your monitor can get

  5. Product was shipped to me really fast and there were no problems at all. Thanks so much!

  1. Really attractive stands and easy to assemble. Very stable and hides wiring. I noticed that there was a 25% Savings from Vann's if you buy two pair. I do not know if this will continue. I may have just been lucky. Great for the HKTS 15's or 18's.

  2. I ordered 4 of these for each of my main channel speakers. The bases are very heavy and will keep the speakers steady.

It comes with floor studs for either hard wood or carpet. The carpet ones are pretty neat little cleats that stick into the carpet to give it even more stability. The hard floor studs are some little rubber nubs.

The base of the stand is made of aluminum it seems, with a high gloss paint job that matches the speakers surprisingly well. All very modern looking.

I'd def. recommend these for your HKTS systeam.

  3. Amazon shows two vendors for this item. Toyzz and Vann's. Toyzz charges $199 a pair and $24.99 for shipping with a three week wait. Vann's price is $99 a pair and free next day shipping. What a HUGE difference. Check the price thoroughly, with shipping and delivery times, before ordering.

  4. Bought 2 sets of these stands for our new Harmon Kardon HKTS 18 surround sound speakers. They are easy to assemble, sturdy and attractive. The cleats on the bottom keep them stable on the carpeting, yet I like the fact that we can still move them a little further out or closer in depending on the number of people we have in the room and where they are sitting.

After reading the other reviews, I called Vann's to ask if they were still offering a discount if you were buying 2 sets of stands. They took $10.00 off of each set. I took the chance and ordered them directly from Vann's to get the discount since this wasn't an electronic component and I wasn't in any hurry for them. Usually I prefer to buy through Amazon because their return policy is excellent and I've never had any problems with them. Happily the stands arrived in 3 business days, safely packed and all is well. Thanks Amazon, Vann's and reviewers!

  1. I got my little 4 cup brewer as a high school graduation present. This thing has made it through the dorms, through several apartments and terrible roommates, and finally into my new home! I have had this thing for over 6 years and it is still completely fabulous. It is so easy to use, and has never given me any problems. I don't even clean it as often as I should and the quality of the coffee is still excellent. I am going to be sad when it comes time to stop using this, because it's so easy to use and makes great coffee! I would definitely recommend this to anyone. It was perfect for the small dorms and perfect for a home.

  2. I am a modest coffee drinker. I drink 4 cups a day, and I require little of a coffeemaker other than an on/off button. My last perfectly servicable Mr. Coffee 4-cup machine bit the dust, so I replaced it with this one, because at least I could re-use the carafe.
Well, the internal design guys have been at the guts of this one. First, you can no longer remove, rinse and/or wipe down the internal chamber condensation from your last pot. You have to insert a papertowel into the new internal resevoir, scraping your hand on some internal parts that probably weren't meant to be messed with. They have likewise redesigned the basket, and it barely fits the standard coffee filters anymore, without crinkling and leaving grounds in your pot, and, hey, the internal water resevoir, where it has no business backwashing anyway. And god forbid you should try to make 5 cups in your 4-cup machine, for which there is plenty of room in the carafe, and in the resevoir, and which works well in many other 4-cup machines. My coffee maker lives on top of my microwave on a little shelf, by the toaster oven, because I have no counterspace for it. I have to lift it out some 10 inches, fill it up, insert the basket, and put it back on the microwave to process. I have mastered the art of moving a fully water loaded machine the little bit required. This one sloshes water everywhere. From the top of the machine? No! There's an engineered HOLE in the back of the reservoir to keep you from overfilling the chamber that last little bit. Water fountains everywhere from the center back part of the machine. I suppose I could put a piece of duct tape over it, but who wants duct tape in their coffee. Good God.

I will be replacing my machine shortly, then gleefully smashing my carafes on the driveway.

  5. You will hate yourself in the morning if you buy this Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. IT LEAKS - HORRIBLY!
One full cup of water runs out of the base of the coffeemaker onto your counter top and down the front of the cabinet. I purchased two of these coffeemakers, one for my son and one for me. They both leaked. I threw mine in the trash and replaced it with a Cuisinart. Save yourself some grief - don't buy this coffeemaker.

  1. A friend of mine recently purchased a Logitech Harmony One remote for 250 bucks. He raved about it but I could not afford it -- even at the recent price drop to 180. So I looked at this remote, which is the same as the X-10 Icon Remote. It is about 50 bucks which is more in my range -- so I bought it. It took less than 5 minutes to setup the remote to control my receiver, Dish DVR, DVD player, VCR, CD player, plasma TV, and X-10 controlled lights. Then it took me another 2 hours to setup "favorites" and marcos. But it works great. I set up one button that I labled "Watch TV". Hit it once and the TV comes on and switches to satellite input, satellite comes on, then receiver comes on and switches to satellite input. Hit the button again and they all turn off. I setup similar macros for DVD, VCR, etc. I even set up one button called "Frank". It turns on the receiver and the satellite and switches it to channel 6075, the Dish Network Sirius Sinatra station. What macros will I think up next?! A great product at a great price.

  2. I really like the functionality of this remote as well as the price, but I cannot get it to power ON my Yamaha HTR-5760 AV receiver, though it will power it off and operate the volume control. So, it is really of no use to me as the receiver is one of the main components in my system and I intend on creating one button macros to setup watching a movie, or the TV through my receiver, etc... Yamaha and Philips tech support were fairly useless to help me with the problem, so I'm going to have to return it. Additionally I did try to go through the "learn" function with my receiver remote and the Philips on the power on button but that didn't work either.

I'm only writing this review so others know the problem I came across and don't waste your time, and money, if you have this model receiver.

  3. A very good looking unit and very versital. Easy to program and easy to teach. Nice LCD backlit screen. My only fault was not all the stored codes worked on my 9 devices. just lucky I had the original remotes to teach with. Wish it had a USB port to interface with my computer.

  4. This remote is just what I wanted. I have been able to program it to perform all the functions of my Scientific Atlanta cable box/DVR and enough functions on my Samsung flat screen and Denon AVR to be able to put away all three remotes. I will only need them for changing calibration settings and other functions that I rarely use. Other reviews I've read here and other sites say that programming this remote is difficult and frustrating. This is true to some extent, but if you keep at it, the effort is worth it. One review basically said that if you need to change something, you'd have to reset the whole thing and start over. This is NOT true. I was able to make several changes by just using the learning function again. One review said that the remote sometimes says that a function has been successfully learned when it really hasn't been. This is true and is one of the most frustrating parts of programming the remote. I found that it sometimes takes four or more times to actually learn a function. I don't know if that is the remote's fault or mine, but I do know that if you keep trying, it will finally work. And once it is programmed exactly like you want it, it's fantastic.

  5. I just finished programming my Prestigo SRU8010.
It took me hours of patient trial and error to figure out how to make it work and I'm still not completely satisfied.
As an example, my Yamaha HTR-5850 receiver (very popular family of devices) is not supported by the built in programming.
And there are plenty of inconsistencies:
"His" favorite channels are limited to a max of 10, while "Hers" could be as many as 18 channels.
There is a main "On" button, but not an "Off" button for devices that, instead of toggling, have dedicated commands for these functions.
The punch-through feature (an absolute must for these multi-device remotes) works only for Volume, Channel and Play, and there is no punch-through option for "Channel Guide" for when you are watching cable/sat TV, which for me is 90% of the time (I could not find a work around solution).
The creation of macros is possible only by learning the IR commands from the original brand name remotes, but impossible with the IR commands already programmed in the Prestigo.
For the price, it's not a bad remote, but the person(s) who wrote and approved the inane Owner's Manual should be instantly fired. It is as if the writer never actually tried to program the Prestigo himself. The language is confusing, there are no tutorials, and no actual examples, other than for the most elementary sequences.
The whole emphasis of the manual is on the fancy "favorite" graphic display, which operates through very small buttons.
Incidentally, the overall ergonomics could be improved with no significant extra cost, but as they say: don't look a gift horse in the mouth!
It is a very sad corporate decision for Philips to sell a "good and inexpensive" device with a manual written by a rank amateur.

  1. The case does it's job...it protects the iPod, front and back, with it's pink shell and clear cover for the screen. However, it is VERY difficult to get it on and off the iPod. It wouldn't be such a problem but with the case on, you cannot charge the iPod on a dock. It will plug into the computer, but I use a dock and it won't work.

  2. Great color, matches my MacBook! iPod still gets scratched, but it's probably not as bad as it would be without it.
