1 comments about Oricore SW515 3-to-1 HDMI Video Switch with Remote & Cable.
  1. The Oricore 3-to-1 HDMI switch is a Great solution for it's price. I had just recently gotten my first hdtv, it' sadly only had one hdmi port. I had searched a few places online for a nice switch box and was completely horrified by some of the prices on some other models ranging anywhere from 50 to literally hundreds of dollars. Some models where manual while some where automatic, The problem I found with the automatic switch boxes was that if you have a satellite or cable box or really any hdmi appliance that doesn't completely power down then the automatic switch boxes don't know when to switch over automatically when you turn on another hdmi device, and to be honest having almost everything wireless in my home it seemed silly to get a manual switch box. The solution was simple I needed a cheap remotely controlled switch, I searched around and found a few units that looked nice. But then I saw this one. Not only was the price irresistibly attractive, it was remote controlled and came with a six foot hdmi cable to boot. This is great because I have bought hdmi cables before at places like wal mart and paid upwards of 36 dollars for them, and you have to realize you will need that extra cable. you will need an hdmi cable for every device going into the box and one for the output into your hdtv. 'so this extra cable alone really is worth the price if you have been burnt at retail stores before, like I have'. This works great on my ps3 and my hd/tivo receiver.

There are some cons.. while the picture quality is top notch. The actual material the remote is made out of is quite flimsy. The remote it self uses a watch battery the power cord to the power adapter looks frail so frail it could be a fire hazard. I wouldn't use this box in a childs room. however there are only six volts going through the cord that's no more power then a battery would use, so assume its safe. 'I'm no electrician after all '

I will say, the box and remote feel cheap to the touch , and look cheap to the eye. however. performance wise you honestly wont do better anywhere for the money.

I've made a brutally honest review. weighing both pros and cons. and on that note. I leave you with this. No matter how you look at it. This switch box is a complete steal for it's price. you wont find a cheaper 3-1 switch with a remote anywhere.

5 comments about Techcraft Veneto Series SWP60 TV Stand.
  1. While the quality of the item seems slightly above the norm, customer service from this company is dreadful. My new equipment sat around in boxes waiting for a replacement for a damaged shelf that was delayed, then delayed again, by mix-ups on the company's part. Their refusal to budge an inch from their standard process, even though it meant further delay for a very unhappy consumer who had gotten tired of run-arounds and excuses, is a far cry from the real customer service I've experienced elsewhere. I will never buy another TechCraft item.

  2. I ordered this TV stand through buy.com for a total of $296.45 including shipping using live search which gives you money back after 60 days. I tried to have Amazon match this price, which they won't. Too bad, since I really like Amazon. This stand is definitely worth the money, as others have stated. I did also get a PLM50, which is a steel mount for TV's that connects to this stand (as well as some others). It is definitely worth your research to see if it will meet your needs. It lets you mount your lcd or plasma tv and adjust the height as well as swiveling left and right.

  3. The item is really nice, however a piece came damaged (replaced by company who makes it, not the company I purchased it from - Electronics Depot). It scratches very easily, and you have to put it together which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 or 5. Overall quality is good, but for that price, I would've thought it was better quality.

  4. I ordered this cabinet before I ordered my new 58" Samsung plasma, a very heavy TV. It was scheduled for a July 8th delivery, but was lost in the system and showed up 8 days later, after the TV. Other than the inconveinience, the cabinet went together easily, with no problems. It looks very good and is functional and sturdy. I would recogmend Amazon should publish the width of the internal compartments as todays components can be rather large. I had to buy a new center channel speaker as my Yamaha was too wide. It will only take one less than 18.7" wide. Most will not fit. I found a Polk Audio CS1 that was 18" wide and sounded good. Forget about the high end models, too wide, and I am not a fan of Bose. I use a Yamaha 7.1 A/V receiver, 2 Infinity front speakes, a Polk Audio sub, the new Polk Audio center and 2 Niles round, built in surround speakers. Overal the cabinet is god.

  5. Very elegant TV stand. Took about 2 hours to put it together. Depth and height are fine but the shelves on the two sides are barely wide enough for a bulky A/V receiver. With the door hinges, it was a torture to make all the connections and place the receiver inside. Otherwise very pleased with the purchase. As another reviewer said, it is not too wide for a 42" flat screen TV.

  1. this thing really does what it claims to do. The only drawbacks are that it will not record directly to an iphone (need to put the info on a flash drive, then download that to a computer, then put that on itunes, and finally put that on the iphone), and you cannot watch the video while you are recording to know when to end the recording. You then just need to know how long the movie is, and time it so that you will know when to stop the recording. Otherwise, this does it all!

  2. This product is fabulous!!!! It does everything that is promised. I was able to put music from old LPs, and 45s into my IPod as well as a bunch of movies. The on-line directions could be more clear but IT WORKS! I suggest you put everything into your computer using a flash drive first, import to ITunes and THEN sync your IPod or ITouch. If you put movies and music directly into your IPod, it gets erased the next time you sync. Well worth the $$$$$$$.

  3. I wanted to convert my video library into DVDs. This helps a lot as expected.

  4. We have had the iRecord for 1 month and have been converting vinyl to an Ipod and CD It is easy to use and the tech support, if you have questions, are speedy and efficient.

  5. I love this little device. It is perfect for bringing movies and TV shows along with you on your iPod. It is extremely easy to use. It inserts a stupid splash screen into the first few seconds of the recording but I just cut that out with Quicktime Pro (its really annoying to me for some reason but not enough for me to detract stars). This is truly the simplest device for doing what it does and anybody can use it.

5 comments about Nike HJ020 Flight Sport headphones.
  1. I was having issues finding a headset that would not slip out on a long run. This one takes a little getting used to but does not slip out and does not cause any discomfort even after a LONG run. Great deal for the price!

  2. I always have problem with normal headsets which r not designed for running since they drops all the time while running. This is different. it keeps the headsets in my ears all the time while running. Please notice the way to wear this headset is let the wire go over your ears. the first time i used it, i wear it upside down and it kept dropping. The sound quality is not bad at all compare the special running products in the price range.

  3. I wore out my last pair of Nike headphones running on a regular basis and had to buy another pair. The first pair lasted a few years with regular use. These headphones are very comfortable for running and don't fall out easily like regular earbuds.

  4. while it is light enough but it does not hold well to your ears. if you intend to use it for running, you will be disappointed as it is just too loose.

  5. I just received this in the mail today. They are very light, but when I wear them as I think they're meant to be worn, they don't stay in my ears at all. However, my mom suggested that I try wearing them a different way (with the side marked "R" on my left ear, the side marked "L" on my right ear, and the curved parts hooked over each ear - so basically back-to-front and upside-down), and this seems to work far better. No joke. They don't fall out at all. They're still a tad bit uncomfortable, but they seem like they'd actually work pretty well for running. I'm still not sure if the "L"/"R" markings are misplaced and the headphones are actually supposed to be worn this way or not. So give it a shot the other way, maybe that'll work for you too. Oh, and they are $18.99 if you buy from amazon and not from this seller. Just search for Nike HJ020.

  1. computer

  2. This works just as well for a PS/2 mouse (not serial of course).

  3. The only beef I have with this cable is the one I have will all PS/2 extension cables - the ends become separated too easily. Other than that it's a great product, certainly as good as or better than its competitors.

  4. Work as they are supposed to. I sit about 5 or 6 feet away from my monitor, so these are perfect. I go through to many batteries in wireless keyboards and mouse's, so this has saved me tons.

  5. The configuration of my office made it impossible for my cpu and monitor to be close enough together to use the existing cables. So, I purchased these extension cables and they work beautifully. They were the exact same product as sold in stores for 3 times the cost and there is no loss of function. I would recommend this product to others needing just a little more length in those cables.

5 comments about Carrying Case with Strap for TOMTOM ONE / 3rd Edition Portable GPS Navigator ** Includes Scratch Guard Accessory Bag **.
  1. The case is just perfect for the protection of the Tom Tom. It fits perfectly and what quick shipping. Don't hesitate buying from this company.

  2. This is the perfect case for the third edition TomTom One! Mine did not come with the bag, but came with a nice cloth to put over the screen so that it does not get scratched. The GPS fits perfectly in the case and then both fit nicely in my purse.

Be aware that the case holds the GPS only, do not expect it to hold the charger cord and mounting accessories too. I really don't think the extra space is necessary, I just like to keep the GPS itself safe when I am not in the car and this works perfectly for me!

  3. The product itself is fine. However, it turned out to be made by Case Logic, which I could have bought for $12 in another place on Amamzon (or for $20 at a Target store)if I had known the brand. The brand name seems to purposefully have been deleted from the photo. I think that was sneaky of this vendor.

  4. Item was just as described, great quality, fast shipping, a great merchant to work with.

  5. This is a good idea for people who are not comfortable with leaving the tomtom in plain sight. I bought this item, thinking I would get a lot of use out of it, but I really don't... Not a big investment, thankfully.

  1. It fits very well , stays on but my arm is 15" . If it was just a little bigger ... it wouldn't have worked well (at all) .

So do some measuring before you buy it .

  2. Great for running. Its comfortable on my arm but a liltle big. Nice padding on the inside it also has a ton of velcro to keep it from falling off. its Universal to what it can hold either an ipod or my cellphone. Keeps them very secure and safe.

  3. if you have a zen vision m, beware..the velcro that latches over the player is snug and covers the headphone port, which means to use L-shaped (forget vertical type) headphone plug the latch won't be sticking as much as it was designed to, possibly putting your player at risk while running.

other than that, it seems decent

p.s. not sure how the ipod fits.

5 comments about Shure SE420-K Sound Isolating Earphones (Black).
  1. The Shure SE420 may be a dual driver design but it does not sound as so. I purchased these earphones to upgrade from my older pair of Shure E3c's and I was expecting to hear a quality difference between a wideband driver vs a dual driver design. I was shocked after spending time with these that suffice it to say they don't sound any different from my older pair. I had the chance to try out a pair of SE210's as well and I think the SE210's sounded the same as well. Sound is hard to really put into words though so everyone is subjective to there own opinion and experience. However I would like to add that I did my listening experience with these earphones during the day for a few hours and during the night for 6 hours. Day vs Nightime listening is the tests I put these through and for me I am able to hear clearer when I am relaxed so nightime was when I was hopeful to hear a difference but overall I did not hear anything new I could during the day. The bass and midrange don't seem to have any noticeable difference with the added driver vs a single driver design. I tried listening through several sources and it did not make a difference but overall I used a CD player as that was the highest quality source I had.

Comfort wise though the SE series from Shure is much more comfortable to place in your ear and comes with a greater variety of eartips. You don't have to squish the foam tips to place them in your ears. Rather you can just insert them with a bit of a twist. The cables are nice and sturdy and would take some effort to really break so they can stand up to abuse.

Perhaps you might buy these earphones even so and I still recommend you give them a try if you want. You never know how they will sound until you hear them but as for my experience these dual driver earphones don't sound as though they are dual drivers to my ears!

  2. ***Please see updated at the end of the review.****

Recently purchased the SE420s after using the SE310s and the Jays q-Jays. Wanted to try another set of dual driver headphones to compare to the q-Jays and was interested in the comparison between the SE310s.

The SE420s provide as much of the clarity as the SE310s but adds the bass that was missing. With the SE310s, I need to change the EQ to rock to get the sound that I wanted. With the SE420s, I do not need to do this which is a good thing.

Compared to the q-Jays, I feel the SE420s edge them out in terms of quality of sound. The SE420s provide a better sound stage and it's easier to locate instruments while listening to my music. The only downside is that the SE420s are probably 3 times the size of the q-Jays.

Also, the new version of the SE420s that I received came with an extension cable that fits the recessed jack for the Apple iPhone. This was a nice surprise. Shure must be doing this for all of their latest headphone extension cords.

Price was right as I was able to pick up the SE420s for $250 shipped from an eBay reseller of Shure headphones. I thought the $250 was a good deal from the $300+ that you usually see for these headphones.

    ***Updated***
Found an awesome deal on the Shure SE530s ($50 more than what I paid for the SE420s). After careful comparison, I've decided to sell my SE420s and keep the SE530s. For the $50 premium, I feel the SE530s are the better deal. The fit isn't as flush the SE530s, but they are still comfortable to use and the sound is absolutely amazing! If you have the money and keep looking, you can find the SE530s for under $300. The SE530s also came with a new modular cable that works with the iPhone.

  3. I purchased a $5 pair of generic headphones for my trip to Seattle as I had left my Bang and Olufson earbuds in the wash the night before (not the first time, but I one of the drivers was tragically ruined this time around.) Of course I was saddened to be brought back into the world of the common person's music experience. I had raved about the B&O's for so long, and now, they were gone!!! :(

Needless to say, the $5 head phones I bought lasted me an hour; before getting caught on the seat, ripping the wires. While in the DFW airport I went looking for some headphones to rival my B&O's. Low and behold I came across a store with every headphone you could think of. I was like a kid in a candy store. I had no cash in my bank account (student loans ughhh) so I was looking to spend $99. I tried them all and found they couldn't beat my B&O's. So I looked into the more expensive ones, thinking to myself, I can wait and save for a set later and go without for the trip.

I came across the Bose line (all of which I could never recommend to a friend.) So I hit up the Sennheiser and the UE lines and didn't like anything below $1000!!! So I came across the Shure line. I tried them all on. After having about 15 different IEM's in my ears (not just Shures), I came across the 420's and the 530's. While I had no words for the 530's quality I did have a heavy gasp when I heard the price. I wanted them so badly, but the $420's were only $350, and I must say, there was a noticeable difference between the two, but as far as the price to sound quality goes, these IEM's took the cake. The 420's beat out everything I had heard up until the 530's. Having fallen in love with them, I bought them on the spot with my credit card.

Looking back on it, I wish I had bought the 530's instead. I love my 420's, don't get me wrong! But my next pair will be the future equivilant to the 530's. I should look into trading up if they'll let me do that.

  4. I originally purchased some Bose Quiet Comfort 3 earphones, but returned them and bought these instead, and am generally glad that I did. The pure sound quality on these is better than the Bose. The only area where the Bose might be better is if you want to listen to some really loud pounding bass, although the Shure's have good bass in my opinion. I have tried both these and the Bose on airplanes and commuter trains, and I think the noise cancelling of the Bose is only slighter better than the noise deafening that these provide. If you have the Shures on even medium volume, you won't hear any airplane or trains noises. Turned off, the Bose will probably block a little more sound. But these are about 1/20 of the size, and can fit into a small purse if you wanted or in the side pocket of your work bag, while the Bose are huge, both to transport and to wear. That is the real difference in my mind - that, and the pure sound is better with these.

My only complaints are that it really takes some time to learn to fit them just right to your ear. If you don't have them fitted just right, you lose half the sound quality and sound isolation. Sometimes if you jerk your head quickly one of the phones might get pulled a little out, and you have to spend 30 seconds tinkering with it to get the earplug sealed just right again. If not for that, I would give these 5 stars.

  5. I've had the SE420's for about a month now and they are out of this world. I was looking to buy the 530's but just couldn't justify the steep price. I found these babies new online for about $215.00 and words can not describe the pure musicality of these IEM. For all the folks that complain about bass response, this is more user error than a issue with the 420's. Being that I have a Zune, I don't have the luxury of having a EQ, which is fine with me. The 420's give you exactly whats recorded. To quote the 1970's R&B Funk group the Ohio Players "Heaven Must Be Like This".

  1. This is a beautiful case for your shiny new iPhone 3G.

It will help you keep it shiny.

Very high quality textured leather. Very soft inside to baby your phone.

Unique closure systems pulls up your iPhone for easy release.

Very thin with no bulky, nasty belt clip to get in the way.

    Highly recommended for iPhone 3G.

  2. Thise case looks great, love the red. Easy to pull out your phone. Though the closure that is used for the strap is velcro, this would have been much nicer with a magnetized snap. The velcro gives it a cheap feeling. I also don't find that it cleans the face of my phone, my phone comes out looking just as it did going in.
