5 comments about One For All URC 9960 Kameleon 8-Device Upgradeable Universal Remote Control.
- I had and earlier model but the battery cover broke. This is a great
remote. Operates more than enough devices. I have it set up to operate
my highhat ceiling lights that are on an ir wall switch. Only problems I have with the unit is I can't seem to adjust the time it stays on. No matter what length I set, it will only stay on for about 8 seconds. Also,
I have it set up to come on with a button push instead of vibration sensor. I seem to recall in other reviews that people were chagrined that they had to push twice, once to turn it on then again to select a function. I would like it that way to prevent erroneous inputs since you
can't see which buttons are underneath 'til they light up. But it seems that on mine it will input whenever you press...a minor annoyance. I just push at the bottom where the setup button is and it will turn it on. Overall, A great remote.
- the whole idea behind my buying this item was to control my entire home theater system. after struggling with the information install it was discovered that the kameleon DOES NOT SUPPORT ANY DVD RECORDERS. be aware of this before plunking down any money for this item....very disappointing...
- Unit works very well, only problem is some controls on the original remotes are not available on the Kameleon; such as some extra controls on the DVD remote are not represented on the Universal(slow motion and some sound modes). Battery life has been very good even with the motion switch turned on. I have been using the rechargeable NiMH AAA batteries an they are working very well.
- It's a fantastic buy at the current price of $20-25, period! But what matters most is the remote actually works and facilitates reduction in having several remotes for an AV system. I use an overhead projector for home movies and the blue glowing buttons are a boon in the dark. Albeit the limitations in learning memory, at this price, it's still a cool gadget even if it can only manage a couple of devices. In reality, it's an 8-in-one! Last but not least, the latest version offers an option to disable its motion sensor, which in turn prolongs battery life.
- Get it to replace my damaged original control. It only took two minutes to find the code and make everything working. Great product.

- Great seller prompt delivery and excellent condition and still working great, first one was DOA but replaced quick and works as advertised even better
- Delivery was timely. Camera works and software is adequate. Price is right. But the LEDs surrounding the lens are white-light like the LED flashlights available. Low light conditions are overcome by a good stong visible light, not infra-red light. So one star for false advertising and four for the item itself. I hate false advertising!
- this product was awesome, the software that came with it wasnt the best but thats easily fixed with google :). its really cool for the price and i am more than satisfied

5 comments about Dayton SVC1 S-Video Jack To RCA Plug Converter.
- The product functions properly as expected, I used to it to hook my computer to an old-school television, but I was impressed the most by the speed of shipping. I ordered it on a Monday and recieved it on Wednsday.
- I'm using this to covert a composite video output on a VCR to connect an S-video cable to my AV receiver (since the receiver won't convert composite to S-video and the receiver is connected to the TV with S-video). The video jack is sturdy, connects well, and passes the VCR signal just fine. For $11.80 with shipping, this is a good product.
- If you want a high quality S-Video converter, then search no farther. I bought this little guy, tried it, and said "Hit the road!" to my bulky S-Video to RF converter. I tested it between my PC's AGP graphics card S-Video output and the composite video RCA inputs on my Color TV, B/W and Green Screen monitors. All three had very good pictures. It beat my RF converter hands down, was easier to use, and shipped fast.
- The converter works great, excelent picture quality, great for viewing movies from the computer in the tv. I would recoment this to everyone, has the quality of the higher priced converters for a fraction of the price.
- The product works! I tried it on a 4-pin S-Video out connector on an S3 video card and on a 7-pin S-Video out connector on an ATI video card. The product worked on both video cards. The color intensity was lower on the TV, but then that was how I had the TV set up. FYI: The little arrow on the product (S-Video side) in the product picture is only there to show the reference position of the S-Video pins, and does not have anything to do with the direction of the conversion.

5 comments about Koss PLUG Replacement Cushions.
- That is really nice for koss earphone. I like this very much. With different cushions the sound quailty can be changed. Absolutely, five star.
- I bought this blister pack to replace my original "The Plug" cushions, which were all cracked and kinda gross... Two sets were the small foamy earplugs, two sets were the big ones, and the last two sets were made of rubber (maybe latex or polyurethane?) and these friggin' rock! I am real hard on my earbuds (putting them unprotected in my pockets, taking them to the beach and getting 'em all sandy, putting them in tight bags and making them deform for long periods of time...) and these rubbery ones can handle the strain i dish out, although the bass the earplugs produce seems a little thinner. Still totally worth the $10.
- I was looking around for replacement cushions for my Koss Sparkplug, specifically looking for the large size earplug style (not the small ones and not the "flange" rubber style-- neither of those do anything for me in blocking out my noisy neighbors, unfortunately) Was glad to find this item, which looked like a full set of normal earplug style. UNFORTUNATELY, when they arrived, it turns out that they're the assortment, as mentioned in the review below. (Given that most people are devoted to one particular style, it's kind of odd that the replacement packs are, by default, these "grab bag" packages. I guess they figure they get to buy them all, you use two of them, and then have to buy more...)
Furthermore, they don't actually seem to fit my Sparkplug headphones-- the little tube inside is too small to fit the "post" on the Sparkplugs. Totally useless, in the end!
- I regularly go through PLUG headphones, using them everyday at work, they are amazing at blocking sound(I install interior trim), and the cord normally takes about 6 months to wear out and crack somewhere, so I just buy another pair. This time around I saw this pack and was exited because I could see there were some different sizes(in the past, PLUG headphones shipped with one size plug), so I ordered it along with 2 new pairs of PLUG headphones. Upon receiving items, I found that KOSS had decided to include two sizes of plugs with the headphones themselves, the normal size, and ones a bit larger. The pack of replacement plugs had three different kinds, 2 normal size cushions, 2 large cushions, and two rubber based plugs similar to reusable earplugs. This was a bit disappointing as all I wanted was slightly bigger than normal cushion style plugs, the rubber ones don't block as much sound. And since the large cushions were already included with the headphones themselves now, my purchase was somewhat useless to me. FYI, the larger cushion plugs(albeit included with the headphones) do block out a bit more sound than the smaller ones, but are just a hair uncomfortable for me, even though I still wear them.
The Bottom Line: Unless you want the rubber based plugs or really need a replacement pair, you will get no new sizes with this pack, the small and large are already bundled with the new headphones themselves(this is new, used to be just one size included). I hope this helps some people not spend $10 if they don't need to.
- These will become necessary if you own Koss Plug or Spark Plug ear buds, as they they wear out after a while.
However, you can buy them from Amazon for the current listed price of $9.99 for six pair (approx. $1.67 a pair) or you can buy them directly from Koss in a package of five pair for $5. Now since I live in Wisconsin I had to pay sales tax, so it came out to $5.28 (approx. $1.06 a pair), but that's still lower than Amazon. Either way shipping is free, so I buy directly from Koss.

5 comments about RCA Indoor Amplified Tv Antenna.
- We get decent off-air digital reception with a cheap VHF/UHF antenna, but I wanted to boost the signals of a couple sketchy signals to make them come in more consistently. So, I bought the RCA ANT1251. Long story short, it brought in signals WORSE than the cheapie we wanted to replace. The amplification didn't do anything whatsoever. No amount of repositioning helped. The unit looks nice and it has a space-saving footprint, but it simply doesn't work.
- It looks old to me,( some dust on the antenna)but may be just because they store for a long time. I get 5 channel out of it
- We purchased another RCA antenna from a local TV repair shop for $60. It worked well, so we decided to try this one because it has even more DBs. Our digital reception is now majorly better. It is for both VHF and UHF, easy to hook up, and easy to adjust. I would definitely recommend this little gem.
- Just hooked up this antenna with my digital converter box to my old TV and I have clear pictures on all channels within range. Most of my towers are 20 miles away in the same direction. UHF and VHF. The others are UHF 5 miles away.
- I bought this to use in my home office on a ViewSonic combination PC monitor and built in HDTV.. a very slick unit which works well for both purposes. The powered rabbit ears performed amazingly well.. pulling in over 45 stations nicely from the main source about 50 plus miles away in San Francisco.. Easy to setup in minutes.. The signal can be blocked on some stations while walking around the room.. but other than that annoyance it is a solid performer. It looks good and can easily be moved from set to set if needed. I tried it outside on the patio table with the same receiver and it worked fine.
I have had other powered rabbit ears in the past.. this unit is a definite improvement.

5 comments about Mr. Coffee DR4MC 4-Cup Coffeemaker, White.
- I got my little 4 cup brewer as a high school graduation present. This thing has made it through the dorms, through several apartments and terrible roommates, and finally into my new home! I have had this thing for over 6 years and it is still completely fabulous. It is so easy to use, and has never given me any problems. I don't even clean it as often as I should and the quality of the coffee is still excellent. I am going to be sad when it comes time to stop using this, because it's so easy to use and makes great coffee! I would definitely recommend this to anyone. It was perfect for the small dorms and perfect for a home.
- I am a modest coffee drinker. I drink 4 cups a day, and I require little of a coffeemaker other than an on/off button. My last perfectly servicable Mr. Coffee 4-cup machine bit the dust, so I replaced it with this one, because at least I could re-use the carafe.
Well, the internal design guys have been at the guts of this one. First, you can no longer remove, rinse and/or wipe down the internal chamber condensation from your last pot. You have to insert a papertowel into the new internal resevoir, scraping your hand on some internal parts that probably weren't meant to be messed with. They have likewise redesigned the basket, and it barely fits the standard coffee filters anymore, without crinkling and leaving grounds in your pot, and, hey, the internal water resevoir, where it has no business backwashing anyway. And god forbid you should try to make 5 cups in your 4-cup machine, for which there is plenty of room in the carafe, and in the resevoir, and which works well in many other 4-cup machines. My coffee maker lives on top of my microwave on a little shelf, by the toaster oven, because I have no counterspace for it. I have to lift it out some 10 inches, fill it up, insert the basket, and put it back on the microwave to process. I have mastered the art of moving a fully water loaded machine the little bit required. This one sloshes water everywhere. From the top of the machine? No! There's an engineered HOLE in the back of the reservoir to keep you from overfilling the chamber that last little bit. Water fountains everywhere from the center back part of the machine. I suppose I could put a piece of duct tape over it, but who wants duct tape in their coffee. Good God.
I will be replacing my machine shortly, then gleefully smashing my carafes on the driveway.

- You will hate yourself in the morning if you buy this Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. IT LEAKS - HORRIBLY!
One full cup of water runs out of the base of the coffeemaker onto your counter top and down the front of the cabinet. I purchased two of these coffeemakers, one for my son and one for me. They both leaked. I threw mine in the trash and replaced it with a Cuisinart. Save yourself some grief - don't buy this coffeemaker.

5 comments about Sony VAIO Slim Notebook Carrying Case.
- It comes as stated in specifications...it's hard and feels sturdy...yet it's not a heavy material.
don't forget it's meant for small laptops...check the size of the bag and of your laptop.
- It is really nice and useful but it seems it is made for TZ series. Because I cannot put my SZ computer into the real area which is separated for the laptop. However, the second area is ok and it can be used for Sz as well.
- I was looking for a small shoulder strapped laptop bag for my Sony VGN-TZ2500 (11.1" Widescreen). This bag is perfect. It fits my laptop exactly and I didn't have to spend $150 on the carry bag from Sony. And, it's extra pockets holds my external DVD drive and extra paraipherals with room to spare. Its a good buy.
- I bought three of them, for me, for my son and for a good friend. It is comfortable, nice, everybody likes it! Good price, fast shipping. I like Amazon!
- I got a new Z series and it does fit perfectly. It's small too which is nice. I only carry the notebook and about 100 or so pages at a time. This fits your laptop and some extra papers just right.

5 comments about Bose® SoundDock® Portable digital music system - Gloss White.
- The Sound Dock definitely fills a niche. It allows you to hook up that Ipod without tying up any other sound devices... and it sounds awesome!! To get that sound takes a good bit of size and weight... I don't think their is much chance at any further trade-off, without spending a LOT more money.
The sound is typical Bose, rich, deep, vibrant, etc... I would be careful with the "portable" tag, because of the weight, but if you really need to, you could take it with you. No different than last decade's "Boom Box".
I use mine at work, because I really like the sound and it is low impact (just set up on the corner of my desk). I plug the Ipod in when I get to work and I've got podcasts, tunes, etc... all day long!
I suppose I could live without it, or have bought a cord to play into my old cd player, but for the money, I found this to be the most elegant and low profile solution. I highly recommend!!
All the best,
Jay
- This produces the sound you would expect from Bose. I bought it as a gift for my wife. It is a bit pricey but is very portable so we carry it out near the pool and outside to the grill for great sound.
- Bose doesn't always have the best in sound but this qualifies as the the best. Simple to use with a great sound.
- Collosal, spectacular, Breathtaking, this are the best for me, for this reason I highly recommend.
BENJAMIN TARACHE
- Sound is outstanding. Very portable. Pricey yes. However, much better sound than similar products at a lower price point.

5 comments about Dayton BACT-GRB Banana Plug Pair Compression Type.
- These banana plugs feel worthy of their price. They're simple to use and stackable if you need that capability. They're quite well-made and get the job done. Great choice for anyone looking for flexible, quality, and reusable banana plugs. Just beware that if the plugs are exposed that there's the potentially for a short circuit or electrocution while power is fed though them.
- Trust me people, do NOT drink that Monster garbage kool aid. I bought 5 pair of these, and they are of THE best quality out there. They are very simple to install (my wife did them, while i DID THE WALL FISH). I tried to $20 Monster Cable, because I did not think these would be here in time, they went back to Radio Shack for credit for an SPL. I just ordered 5 more pair, I needed 2 more, and I wanted a couple extras. 5 STAR quality ALL the way.
- I purchased five sets of these Banana Plugs to install on the receiver side of my home theater system. I hooked these up to the end of some 12 gauge Raptor Speaker Wire with no problems; simple installation.
The plugs attach solidly and the cables seem to stay put once everything is together. I like being able to unplug and plug in my cables without having to fight with the screw downs on the back of the receiver. These make connections much more convenient.
- I've found that wires easily come out of the plugs. The smooth slug used to compress the wires have poor grip. For some reason it seems the cap that is used to screw down onto the internal slug also easily becomes loose. I'm really disappointed and would not purchase again.
- The quality at this price point is unmatched. You would be hard pressed to find better quality even at a much higher price point. I took no points off for the lack of directions because of those 2 facts, and it took me under 5 seconds to find a guide online. For piece of mind, I wrapped them in electrical tape which was probably unnecessary but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
The other day I bought some plugs locally that cost twice as much because I was being impatient. Big mistake. They were returned the same day and I'm back here buying these again.
