5 comments about Griffin iTrip Auto FM Transmitter and Auto Charger for iPod (Black).
  1. Road works very well, good sound and is not interrupted the transmission.
in the city instead interference occurs most often
    however, recommend the product

  2. This really deserves more of a 3.5 star rating. It definitely gets the job done but it's not really all that impressive and sometimes there is static with some poorer sound quality but it still gets the job done in the end. Nothing beats a cassette converter though.

  3. It's easy to use, and it works perfectly. The sound quality is excellent, and even when there's a little interference the sound is still crystal clear.

  4. I'm not to far from Chicago (about an hour or so) and I got to say, it works. Yeah, there's some static but it doesn't drown out the music. Yeah, you have to have the volume cranked up loud on your current system, but that's if you have music with low quality. Music downloaded straight from iTunes were lower than music I ripped from CDs (quality difference). This does not get you "bumping" down the block but its clean and loud enough for you and your passengers. Also, you might want to play with your system's EQ (equalizer) before using it on the road. The presets were right on que. 88.(whatever) is the best station to use it on around these areas.

Bottom line: It works. Just remember to lower the volume when you're about to turn it off.

  5. This works well when you get outside of the city. In California it's kind of a hit or miss. I live in Sacramento and so if I use it while driving from Sacramento to the Bay Area it really doesn't work too well. There are just to many interfering stations to get a really clear channel. However if I head east or use it in less populated areas it seems to work just fine. If you live in a metro area you would probably want to spend the extra money and get a monster transmitter or something a little more powerful than the itrip. If you live in a rural state or area then it itrip should work fine.

5 comments about DLO HipCase Leather Folio for iPod touch (Black).
  1. I bought this case in January 2008 and it's now July 2008. The DLO case is sleek, sexy and pretty high quality. It does, however, have it's flaws. As at least one of reviewer mentioned, the case becomes loose after time and my iPod Touch does seem to slide around and sometimes slide right out of the case. This definitely is due to the leather just naturally stretching with time but probably should have been accounted for during the design of the product.

Secondly, the case scratches the back of the iPod. I now have a backside protector on my iPod but indeed this case scratches the backside of the player where the belt clip is attached seems to rub it just the right way and results in some pretty visible scratching. Of course this is due to the poor design of the iPod's backside that are used on a daily basis will indeed have a scratched backside.

I'm now looking for another case to replace the DLO...:) It was a good case but it's time for something new.

  2. Bought his case after reading th other reviews. High quality leather. I Like the magnetic flap that keeps it closed. Slot for business cards. Did not experience anything related to the smell of the leather like others had written about. They must have solved that problem already.

  3. Having bought the iPod Touch I was terribly paranoid about messing it up by simply looking at it. After some consideration (and review reading) I went with this DLO HipCase.

It's basic, clean design keeps my little music buddy safe no matter where I end up dumping it.

Can't say there are any design flaws, as such. It works as it appears it should.

Only draw back for me is I am left wanting something to help manage the ear buds. I thought the little inside pocket might do it, but, alas, no. Still not sure what that pocket is for.

Generally speaking, a good product for the money (though I seemed to have paid $4 more than it's now selling out).

  4. Beautiful case, and works very well. When I first got it, the hole to access the port on the bottom was a little too small, and I had to remove the iPod from the case to recharge/sync it. I started pushing the recharger cable through the hole first, then slid the iPod down onto the charger for a few times until the leather stretched enough allow the cable to connect properly. It now fits perfectly.

I've had the case for a while now, and I've dropped the iPod a couple of times, and the case works...... no damage whatsoever to the iPod. The belt clip is very handy, I just wish it were removable, or they made one without the clip (I'd buy them both - there are times I want the clip, and sometimes it just gets in the way - nothing is perfect)

Great accessory. Looks professional, does a great job of protecting the iPod without making it too bulky, doesn't get in the way at all when using it once the leather "breaks in" a bit (at first, the area around the edge of the screen and the front button are somewhat difficult to get to, but after a little use, the leather form-fits to your iPod.

It flat-out works..... I'd buy one again without hesitation, but this one looks like it will outlast the iPod. Get one.....you won't be sorry.

....now, if they only made them in exotic leathers (Ostrich, Stingray, Snake skin, etc) :-)

  5. Simple, elegant design that stands up to my carrying it around everywhere. When my wife got her own iTouch, she had to have this case as well.

5 comments about Nintendo DS Lite Travel Kit.
  1. I enjoy the travel case. The back part where you put you DS is a bit snug though, and you can hold only 6 games in the white traveling case you see in the top right corner. The white thing below it holds Game Boy Advance Games, but if you want that in the white case, you'll have to switch out one of them that holds three DS games. The white case also holds only one stylus, even though there are two slots for them, one is too small, go figure. I like the pen stylus. It holds a regular stylus and makes it more comfortable to play. I'M TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THE CAR CHARGER THOUGH! omg, so convenient. Also, the little keychain in the middle holds two DS games, and the little thing you see coming off of it at the top of the keychain case, is like a screen cleaner for your DS. convenient. The little blue thing in the corner is pointless. The headphones produce great sound, but of course I've never been a fan of those style of earphones, also like iPod earphones... they fall out of my ear...

  2. Just about everything was fine in this kit. I especially like the compact game card cases. I don't use my DS in the car, so I can't really say how well the car adapter works. My only real disappointment was the stylus holder, which would be nice to reduce fatigue holding the tiny stylus, but when I put the stylus in, I could see cracks in the plastic where it fit together, and there was a little bit of slop allowing the stylus to slide back and forth in the tube a little bit when you press down on the stylus tip, which got really annoying when you're trying to do things quickly in a game. I might try making a small block to stick in the tube to make it more solid, but it's not the best design.

  3. I read the reviews of this product before I bought it, and was aware of possible problems with the zipper, etc. I found NONE of this to be true with my case. It is so very convenient. I love the earphones, and even liked the little cleaning square for the screen. I especially like the "plainess" "less is more" look of the case...very classy.

  4. Nintendo DS Lite Travel Kit

Not bad for the price but you can't fit everything in the bag like it says you can. The grey pen that comes with it does not hold the white pointer very well, keeps falling apart. Overall..it's ok but I would not bother buying another one simply because it's too small.

  5. A month ago I purchased a Nintendo DS Lite, this Travel Kit, and 3 Gameboy games for my 7-year old son's birthday.

The (black) nylon 'bag' zips open along it's narrow endge for about 3/4 the way around -- it's kind of like a mini-mini-suitcase. It has a good carry strap.

The inside folds out rather like a book. There is a pocket for the DS itself on one side, and a pocket for 'extra games' on the other side (DS fits on either side). There is also a 'mesh pocket' on the middle-right side; the 'lace' is made of grey nylon. Unfortunately I found things in this pocket kept spontaneously falling out... so it's use was soon abandoned.

I think a clasping pocket, with a clear side so one could see inside without opening it, would be a big improvement over the existing 'mesh pocket'.

Another minor missing item is a means to identify the owner from the bag's exterior. My daycare provider ended up sticking some ugly 1"-wide tape upon the outside of the bag to write my son's name upon it. That worked fine for them tracking *whose* DS it was at a glance... but the tape is 'tacky'- tacky looking now, and eventually physically tacky. So Mr. Manufacturer, how about a see-through (address/name)label area sewed to the bag's exterior; like one sees on luggage? And please include a blank address card, or perhaps two.

The kit comes with a (white-coloured) 'extra-games box'. And 3 foam inserts for it. You use the 'blank-tray insert' if you have one of the old-format Nintendo gameboy fobs (they are bigger). Otherwise, you use the 2 foam pieces (installed; they look like they have room for only 6, but actually they fit 9 of the new Nintendo gameboy fobs).

In one foam insert there is room for an extra stylus. This is handy as kids usually have several extra, as they are easy to loose. But I was mildly disappointed that *every* foam insert did not have such an insert available; they all should.

The Travel Kit also comes with a key fob which will fit one extra game (the new small size). It has an re-sizable band so it fits most kids wrists easily. This key fob is girlish is design; it is obviously intended for girls who want to 'go lite' -- a house key and extra game worn on the wrist, and a naked DS computer in hand.

Earphones (earbuds) are also included so the kid can play the DS in a place where no video-game noise is allowed. They fit into the 'mesh pocket'; but again they tend to fall out spontaneously. My son doesn't carry these around ... the places he haunts either 'allow' video games full-bore, or they 'don't allow' period. (The DS has it's own audio controls, including mute. Mine did not come with any kind of headphones.)

An auto-charger is included. It now has permanent home in the family van. We haven't used it yet, but my son was 'delighted' when he realized his DS would never have dead batteries when the family had traveled long distances.

Well that's about it. Well worth the money I spent on it. Only a few minor flaws. Get one if you will ever be letting your DS Lite out of the house.

  1. Got it, opened it, plugged it in, entered my net info, and Bob's your flippin' Mother's sister's brother!

  2. I would suggest a wired connection (especially for HD boxes) but if you must do the wireless, this is your best bet.

  3. Receives wireless better than just about any other device I have. This thing works great and eliminates phone line and ethernet cable!

  4. I have been very happy with my Tivo Wireless adapter. It always works and was easy to set up!

  5. Your TiVo must communicate with the TiVo network in order to obtain programming data, software updates, etc. This product eliminates the hassle of running a phone or network cable to make the connection. It is easy to set up, works like a charm, and even supports WPA encryption. I have mine hidden inside an AV cabinet and it still picks up a good signal from the router on the other side of the house.

5 comments about JBuds Hi-Fi Noise Reducing Ear Buds (Pink).
  1. I received these headphones as a gift in December 2007. These headphones have a great sound - crisp with lots of bass - and they block outside noise very well - but the wires in the plug eventually became loose, and though for a few days I was able to "jiggle" the cable to get sound, they eventually quit completely. I was disappointed when they stopped working, since I did like the sound. I'm pretty cognizant of not "pinching" the cable when I would wrap my headphones up around my iPod, so as to not put any extra stress on that point. While I can't say I was rough with the headphones, I can't say I was most gentle with them, either (used for commuting, walking, working out, etc.). They quit in June 2008.

I was going to buy a second pair of these, but I decided to try the Coby headphones - after all, six bucks is worth a try - and I have to say that the Coby headphones have the same quality of sound and noise-canceling ability. I'm not an audiophile by any standard, and my hearing is about average, so if you're trying to decide between the jBuds and the Cobys, go with the Cobys. If you need the different size silicone earbuds (I lost four out of six due to my "throw in the bag / pocket / gym bag" treatment),

  2. I've worn these type of ear buds before and was used to how the old ones fit in my ear. These keep falling out, even trying each of the three rubber discs that come w/the buds. What's more, apparently there seems to be a wiring issue because one of buds "cuts out" on a regular basis. I'll definitely go back to a Sony product next time. These weren't worth the money.

  3. These are the best earbuds I have ever used.
I can totally screen out the outside noise and ignore the phone if I want.
    GREAT!

  4. I just received these ear buds and I am quite disappointed. I do not expect these to last very long at all. The sound is not the problem for me, it's just that it seems to be of poor quality materials. The cord itself is very, very thin so it's already apparent that the wiring is not very well protected. When I put the plug into my iPod if I even slightly twist the plug while it is in the jack I will get a lot of static. Not worth $20.

  5. i like these, they are good ear buds. i use them nearly EveryDay on my ipod. the sound is good, and they hold up nicely. ive only had to replace them once and that aint bad considering how much i use them. ive bought several different kinds of buds and so far these are best value ive seen for 20 dollars. if ever they need replaced i gladly buy them again

5 comments about HDMI 6FT / 2M Super High Resolution Male to Male Cable by Eforcity.
  1. If you've spent more than a few bucks for an HDMI cable, you are a fool (no offense). These cables send digital information, so as long as they stay intact, they will all do the same job. And if they did fall apart, I wouldn't be any worse off for having spent $2. I've purchased 2 of these so far. One for my Sharp Aquos TV, and one for my PS3. Both were under $5 and both work great. I have friends who have paid over $100 for a cable. Duped...

  2. I think I'm the unlucky one.

When I connect this cable between DMA2100 and 1080p LCDTV, I get, what I believe, the HDMI handshake issue. The screen flashes several times.

After replacing it with a $40 one, this issue went away. If I reconnect the problematic cable, the same problem is reproduced.

  3. I was always leary of these HDMI cables when they first came out. The cost was so high! I paid about 2 bucks and the picture resolution from my HD DVD to my TV was outstanding. Of course, I have no direct comparison with higher cost cables, but would you want to spend 50 to 100 dollars, when this cable works so well.

  4. Last month I bought a 1080i HDTV and figured I would see if a HDMI cable was indeed better than the older composite cables. I already had a 1080i upcoverting DVD player, and both it and my new TV supported HDMI so I was all set. I came across this cable from Eforcity and was blown away at how much cheaper it was! The store I bought my TV at wanted at least $30 for a HDMI cable, and some were even $90! I was skeptical and assumed the cable offered by Eforcity would perform poorly but was I wrong. I immediately noticed an improvement in the picture, and uncompressed DVDs are of excellent quality. I haven't had any problems with this cable whatsoever and highly recommend it, although it does have one little quirk. When I first turn on my DVD player, a green line goes across the screen and the speakers make a sound before the picture and audio begin transmitting from the DVD player, but I only see/hear this when turning the DVD player on and off, never during a movie. It's hard to say if that is from the DVD player, the HDMI cable, my Olevia TV, or from HDMI cables in general. Regardless, this is a fantastic cable for the price.

  5. Went into best buy the other day to look at their prices on assorted ps3 products and came across their version of "the best ps3 hdmi cable in the universe ever" @ $99.00!! i dont know about what was so special about it or if itll even work that well, but this cable works excellently with my ps3(1080p on my 42 inch vizio). Long story short, look no further than this cable if you are looking to get a high quality picture at a low cost.

5 comments about Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7 QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling Headphones.
  1. These headphones are the best. They provide clear sound and excellent noise cancellation. They work perfectly on the NYC subway...enough said ;0)

  2. This product has nice cancelation ability and amazing sound clarity; however, it has one annoying design problem. The headphones leak sound to the point that you can think of them as loudspeakers! If you are surrounded by people, they will sure hear what you are listening. I do not know if other noise-cancelation headphones have this problem.

  3. Love them. Makes long haul flights a pleasure. I find hours of "plane noise" exhausting and the noise canceling capabilities of these headphones are a life saver. I had two pairs of the SENNHEISER PXC250 (which worked great) but the wire running between the headphones and the noise canceling unit became loose and caused a short in both pairs. With these the noise canceling is built into the headphones and the wire plugs into the the headphones and the source. Nothing is hardwired so no chance of a short.

  4. The Good:
    - Accurate sound quality with clean highs and decent lows

    - Noise cancelling works great

    - Very comfortable to wear for extended periods (no hot ears or headaches)

    - Comes with a very nice felt-lined hard case; headphones fold down compactly for easy transport

    - Amazing value... same level of noise cancelling as the Bose Quiet Comfort, with more accurate sound quality, all for less than half the price!!

    The Bad:
    - Could use a bit more bass

    The Verdict:
If you're looking for a great sounding headphone, that also has a noise-cancelling feature, look no further. The combination of sound quality, features and value can't be beat.

  5. I encountered many problems with these headphones and therefore took them back.
First, they let a lot of noise pass through, i feel like i can't ever listen to my music without someone else hearing it.
Second, When i put them on, after about a half an hour, the band on my head starts to hurt, there is very little coverage of leather over the hard metal strip on top.
Third, The earcups are really small, if you have normal sized ears, they probably won't fit in them.
Forth, The noise cancelling feature isn't all that great, i wasn't expecting 100% percent, but i was expecting a little more than 25%.
Fifth, After wearing these for half an hour, i feel like i'm conjested, i feel a lot of pressure inside my head, it gives me a head ache. when i take them off, it's like going outside a stuffy house, i can breath.

these headphones don't work well, the only good thing was the price, but if they hurt to wear and don't work, what is the point of owning these again?

5 comments about Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG for Canon EOS SLR Cameras (Black with Greenish Accent).
  1. This bag is an excellent value, especially for the price. It is very well made of durable material, and the zippers also seem (so far) to be able to hold-up to the constant zipping/un-zipping...It has PLENTY of pockets and compartments for your lenses, miscellaneous gear, manuals and it even holds your tripod on the bottom of the backpack.
The only disappointment to me, is the compartment for notebook storage is not large enough to hold my 15" MacBook Pro. Bummer, but....it's not that big of a deal.

  2. I was so supprised when it arrived. The bag is too good for that price.
It has protected pads on all sides, bottom and top.
Strong built materials with water resist coating.
And its alot smaller than my school bag but has room for all my camera gears. Plus a very nice metalic Canon logo.
I should have bought it right in the first time...!

  3. Looked hi & lo for a camera bag thats easy to use and doesn't look like a camera bag. This works nicely. Dividers move easily and has a nice variety of pockets. I really like the tripod straps, something that if you didn't have that capacity before, you knew you really needed. My old bag didn't have such so I'd carry the camera bag AND the tripod. Not cool if you're shooting on the fly.

I read with concern about the zippers accidently opening but have found that if you just loop the zipper pulls thru each other a time or two its quite secure. I do need to pay close attention to whether or not I've left the main compartment unzipped as not to dump everything, something I'm not used to. I'd also like an quicker, easier way to attach a water bottle. Thats about it.

    Great value! I like it!

  4. The backpack is attractive, with ample pockets, straps, and netting to handle a variety of light gear on photo expeditions. But, the backpack structure is softer, daresay flimsier, than desired. With heavy L lenses and SLR bodies, the pack is clumsy when opened, especially on uneven surfaces like a trailside rock. I bought this for hiking to photo locations, but returned it, wanting something that can offer more protection. For light gear, it is nice, but it isn't designed for larger, professional-grade equipment.

  5. This bag is a lifesaver, it holds all your stuff and even extra stuff you might think you need. It does get heavy but that's because I have it so loaded down. It is very good to have in your vehicle then transfer your stuff to a smaller unit when taking photos.

5 comments about Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote.
  1. In spite of reviews noting the drawback of screen based menus of the Harmony 1000 we initially tried that unit. Both my wife and I were disappointed with that unit's screen sensitivity, accuracy, and limited screen creativity that its technology would have permitted. We converted over to the Harmony One and every issue was solved in this design - buttons you get used to by feel, a great screen that does a far better job with its display menu design and a charger that eliminates the battery swap of earlier units. I'm selling the 1000 on Ebay and very, very satisfied with every aspect of the Harmony One - better design, better screen menus, and the advantage of all common function buttons by easy feel - all at a better price. Combined with Harmony's awesome web programing and technical support, his is the best of the batch!

  2. I have bought probley 5 remotes to control my gadgets and i can get most of them to work but there is always one that doesn't work..so now i have two remotes not one...Harmony Remote fixed that problem..i have a
    sony reciever
    samsung tv and DVD
    Motorola DVR cable box
    sony vcr (old style)
All work on one remote no problems setting it up worked the first time..now i get to program it to have all the fun settings and favorite..the macros turns on item you want and if you want to turn something else on it shutsdown the previous items and turns on what you need.

It's a pricey remote 180-200 dollars and your like holy Sh%@ but you get what you pay for.a easy remote to use and many options to upgrade later down the road.

I'm very happy with the remote and its so simple to use by everyone.. a 30 minute set-up time is need but the instructions walk you through it for non computer savy people.

  3. A fabulous, intuitive remote that has worked with every device I've tried it with. The buttons are well-placed, the ability to use your own icons and backgrounds allows more convenience (while also giving it a personal touch), and the "help" feature fixes most problems on the fly without having to reconnect it to your PC. And to top it off, Amazon Prime was able to get it to me the day after I placed the order for only $4 more.

    I couldn't be more pleased.

  4. This is the forth Logitech remote I have purchased; the 680, 880, 550 and now the One. Each upgrade has been better and more refined than the pervious edition. The prgraming sofware is the best out there but in some places needs a bit more refinement and I am sure in time it too will become more intuitive. The ONLY complaint I have is the Ir seems to be a bit weaker than previous models so pointing the unit needs to be more percise. That apparent weakness may be caused by the Ir signature put out by my LCD Tv's electronics interfering with the One's signal. Whatever the cause, the effect is many false or incomplete signals recieved by my LeapFrog Ir target when not taking care in pointing.

I have had to contact tech support in a couple of instances and until the last contact I have been very please with the professional and technical knowledge. Those previous calls were handeled by tech reps based in Canada. My last call apparently ended up in India with a complete break-down in language understandings in both directions. It ended up in complete frustration and a hang-up. I hope Logitech is aware of the problem and returns tech support totaly to North America.

  5. We had another Harmony remote but then got this one. I like that it's rechargable, as the old one would start getting blinky with the batteries before long. I also like the "screen saver" that shows photos. My husband set it up quickly with our PC, and it is easy to use. The only complaint I might have is that when held horizontally, pointed to the tv, the perspective is wrong on the screen, so you have to hit slightly above your mark in order to accurately hit the button. But I do recommend this highly.

5 comments about Belkin Neoprene Sports Armband for iPod nano 3G (Black/Gray).
  1. I think the product does exactly the job it does, its great, simple. I do not understand however why amazon could not ship to the uk. i had to spend extra money to have it shipped from my brother's in NY to home in the uk. I use amazon allot, some things are ok , like CD's, but not a none metal items such as the arm band? i would be interested in knowing why. it may be the packaging? there was allot. thank you ,mandy

  2. The arm band works perfectly and adjusts to every possible size of arm. I was extremely over weight, bought it and after joggin with it for months I am still using it even at a much smaller adjusted size.

  3. I got the Belkin armband when I purchased my iPod Nano 3G a few months ago since I would primarily be using the iPod while walking for exercise. My experience using the armband several times per week over the past 2 months is as follows:

    High points:
    1. The armband is much more comfortable than the AM/FM radio armband I had been wearing previously; it is easily adjustable and allows a secure fit without being painful/overtight.
    2. The armband appears to be well made and of quality materials.
    3. The plastic window of the armband protects the iPod from moisture/damage.
    4. If I'm walking in my neighborhood, the key pocket is a convenient and secure place to store my house key.

    Low points:
    1. I have had substantial difficulty changing the volume of the iPod while it was in the armband--I find it nearly impossible. I may get lucky and the volume will change once in 10 times when I try.
    2. I have had substantial difficulty in using the scroll button (to move up and down menu lists) while the iPod is in the armband. My understanding is that I was supposed to be able to perform the same operations on the iPod while it's in the armband pocket that I could when it isn't in the armband, but all I've been able to do successfully while it is in the armband is switch to the next song (or back) and turn the iPod off. For everything else, I must unplug the earplugs and pull the iPod out of the armband, perform the necessary operations, put it back in the armband and replug the earplugs; this is TREMENDOUSLY inconvenient while I'm walking.
    3. If I am not walking near home (i.e., if I drive to the beach to walk), the armband key holder isn't nearly big enough for my car key.

In summary, the armband is well made and comfortable; if I was just reviewing that alone, I'd probably give it 4 or 5 stars. But the weaknesses in USABILITY of the iPod WHILE it's in the armband are substantial in my opinion and create a real ineffectiveness for me since I am using the iPod/armband combo for exercise (i.e., I don't want to stop once my heart rate is up to unplug the Nano, pull it out of the armband, perform the necessary operations and put it all back together).

  4. I bought this product to go along with my 3G nano. The band was really small, and the screen often fogged up and you couldn't even see the display. The decoration on the band began to breakdown and stained my ipod outer shell and the ear connection to corroded from its inability to prevent the sweat from affecting the ipod. The little armband was really bad, and I would not buy another one of these. I'm currently looking at the nike armband, so we will see.

  5. Have this product and it is eveything I want in a ipod sports band.Good looks and is very light and stable on arm.
