3 comments about Speck Products MacBook Pro 17-inch See Thru Hard Case (Black) MB17-BLK-SEE.
- After investing in my MacBook Pro I thought it would be a wise investment to protect it; so I purchased the Speck See Thru Hard Case in black.
No instructions are included or required as it simply snaps into place and stays secure via tiny little clips; it's also easy to remove if you have to (it comes in 2 pieces; one for the top, one for the bottom). The black version is almost opaque, giving my laptop a sleek 'stealth' look while allowing the apple logo to softly illuminate through. It even comes with a cloth so you can lovingly maintain its pristine shiny surface. There are openings provided for all peripherals, dvd drive, as well as vents on the bottom for air-flow. Unlike some other reviewers, I have not found that it makes my laptop substantially heavier, nor does it cause it to topple over due to its weight. All in all, a wise investment to protect your beloved MacBook Pro.
- This is definitely a must have product. I look at all the scuffs and minor scratches that are on my case and I am VERY thankful that it's not my laptop. The scuffs and scratches comes from putting it in and out of the case. Over time, you will have a lot of scuffs and scratches on your laptop. This helps prevent that.
It provides a sleeker look that many would enjoy.
It's very easy to install. I will take about 30 seconds.
The only downside to this is that with the cover on, your laptop will only open about a 100 degrees. It really don't bother me, but depending on the angle and elevation you are sitting or if you are standing, it can make a difference.
- I really like this case for the fact that it protects my expensive MacBook from scratches. That being said, the case is glossy black and attracts finger prints and scuffs. Better the case than my lappy I suppose! It fits on nicely and doesn't add any noticeable weight.

- If you buy as many cd's like I do you, you will love this product. CD's that you thought were ruined play again. Instead of buying new cd's buy this intead and save hundreds in CD's, DVD's, and Video Games.
- This was a waste of money in my opinion. It did not fix any of my scratched dvds. I do not recommend this product.
- I found it to be mediocre. I have an HD-DVD that would lock up in a few spots. I tried the complete repair process three times and saw no significant improvement.
- I purchase a lot of used dvds both online and at local stores, and if your like me you've bought your fare share of duds that get to a certain scene and then just stop playing. And if your like me and you purchase used dvds here online you have realized that most of the vendors require you to ship the defective dvd back to them for a refund, well with the cost of shipping and the hassle of making a trip to the post office it seems hardly worth the effort in most cases.
Over time I had built up a stack of non working dvds and decided to see if I couldn't get to finally watch those movies I only got to see half of.
Now this isn't the first dvd repair item I've ever bought, I've tried quite a few over the years. And with that in mind I've pretty much given up all hope of any product being able to successfully repair a dvd that wont play. In fact about half of the dvds in my stack you can see the swirl marks where someone has put them through the "repair" process in the past!
Of the 30 some dvds I used this product on it managed to get 4 to play. And trust me, I put them through multiple times yet even when they would finally come out of the machine looking like a shiny new dvd still nothing. Sometimes they would play a little further than they did before but ultimately they still wouldn't play through.
This is not so much a review against this product as it is a review of the concept of successfully repairing a dvd. I say just cut your losses and toss them out.
To more specifically review this product, it does do a top notch job in its cleaning mode, however the cleaning head requires you to fill a reservoir with "cleaning solution" (aka basic rubbing alcohol) but unless your cleaning dvd's in bulk, the alcohol evaporates away between uses and you'll have to refill it every time. I find a soft cloth and a few drops of alcohol far more sufficient.
- This cleans discs nicely as long as you make sure the pads are completely dry between discs or it scratches them. It does not remove scratches or fix discs that skip even just a little. Amazon refuses to accept this back because "it contains flammable liquids" so I am now stuck with this piece of junk. The company just says "sometimes you have to go over the same disk upto 10 times before it fixes it" Still did not fix any of my discs that skipped.

5 comments about 2.5mm Stereo Jack To 3.5mm Stereo Plug Adapter.
- It works, but it's quite large, and protrudes quite far from the side of my MP3 player. In hindsight I would have bought one with an "L" shape, not this one.
- it has a 2.5mm male and 3.5mm female, so it is totally wrong one. Go to Fry's and head to the cell phone headset department and you will find the right one for $5
- The part shipped to me was an adapter that converts a 3.5mm female to 2.5mm male, the opposite of what is listed. It appears this is not the first time this has occurred. This should be taken care of immediately.
- Received this product by mistake by C-b-e4L--s (fill in the missing letters). It does not work for the Motorola v360, and probably any other cellphone. You must get a 2.5mm adapter with 3 rings. 2 ringed adapters are for mono and the mic only. You can get stereo output by not inserting the jack all the way in.
- I wish I had read the reviews since the product implies that this is a headphone adapter for cellphones - IT IS NOT A CELLPHONE HEADPHONE ADAPTER. The male plug is 3.5mm and you need 2.5mm. I called the company and they said they said I received "what I ordered" which is technically correct - I think. I had a conversation with "technical support" and we engaged in word parsing around "stereo jack" and "stereo plug adapter" which was a conversation I couldn't keep up with - I said I thought I was getting an adapter to connect my cell phone with headphones, etc. They refused to send me the item I needed.
Luckily I ordered another one from eforce on Amazon and they sent an adapter that works as they promised. This shouldn't be difficult. I noticed the same problem with the other reviewers.
DO NOT ORDER THIS ITEM UNLESS YOU NEED A 3.5MM MALE PLUG AND A 2.5MM FEMALE. And even the, I would be wary of dealing with these folks. This item should not appear as a cellphone accessory on Amazon.
A refund is useless since most of the cost is shipping and handling.
If you are not tech savvy enough for this seller or are unsure of what to get, go to Radio Shack.

5 comments about Sony Mdr-Ex32Lp/Blk Ex Earbuds Headphones (Black).
- I tend to go through lots, I mean lots of ear buds. This is due to the fact that my cats like to chew them all up if I lapse and leave them out somewhere. I have had Sennheiser, Creative, Sony and other brands. I prefer this MDR line. They have just the right natural balance of bass/trebble. They do not sound "tinny", "papery", "plasticy" or cheap. The bass is rich and powerful when connected to a good audio player like my Walkman or Creative Soundblaster card. Since my cats chew up my ear buds and I am not rich $25 is a bargain for an excellent product! I just went to my local Target and picked them up for the same price as here.
- These babies provide an unmatched balance of bass/treble on my ipod. Simply superb audio detail. 'Y' design with chin slider is perfect for running, house chores, and just lounging. These are better than the previous model which just gave out on me because they stay put in your ears, better blocking out just enough external noise. Since my Walkman cassette days, I've always gone with Sony headphones and pretty much cried when it was time to replace them. Thankfully, the latest lower-priced range models always keep up the standard of pure, solid sound reproduction. You could and probably do worse until you try a pair of these. It's crispness vs. crapness and at such an affordable price. If you love your music, than treat yourself to some serious sound equipment. Hear the difference and be satisfied. Enjoy!
- I purchased a bluetooth headset a while back made by JVC. The receiver is great and allows the use of other headphones via a 3.5mm audio jack. The included headphones have a VERY short cable as the receiver is generally intended to be worn attached to your shirt or pocket (makes sense, the mic is in the receiver).
However, when I'm simply looking to listen to music having the receiver right under my chin or on the side of my neck (I wear T-shirts most of the time) is annoying as it gets. So, I bought these little gems.
They're compact enough to still be able to wear them to bed, as they don't really protrude from the ear much. They've got the same level of clarity I've come to expect (probably not the ultimate for the audiophile out there, but good enough for me and I am a little picky).
My only disappointment is the fact that they're very quiet when paired with a bluetooth headset. A rather common theme amongst people using bluetooth headsets is that the volume doesn't go nearly to the same level as regular headphones that are plugged in. These headphones are quieter than any other pair I own (I own 4 other sets of headphones, two of which are other Sony products).
If you want good sound these are great. If you want to be able to hear your music in a loud environment and your player doesn't get terribly loud, keep looking. As with all in canal headphones they reduce outside noise, but not quite enough for me when in a loud room. I do still like them for lounging around the house.
- I bought these to replace a pair of Phillips Surround Sound earbuds (cost about 20.00) that stopped working, but sounded great. I put these in and IMMEDIATELY hated the way they sounded. The music sounded awful...It just sounded weak and not a lot of depth. The only thing I like was that they stayed in and have a good physical design. I'm returning them.
- I recently purchased this product and upon opening the package I noticed one thing: the silicone earpieces provided seemed flimsy and cheap. When I put them into my ear, they blocked outside noise effectively (as would putting your fingers in your ears) and the earphones themselves sounded great, but the earpiece was uncomfortable and seemed to bite into my ear a bit. Now, I've replaced the earpieces with ones from my deceased Phillips earbuds, and this product has turned into a perfect earphone. As per the packaging, it produces deep, rich sound and I can listen to my music on low, at the same time not being able to hear nearly any background noise. Overall, these are great for the price, and the sound is excellent, but I would recommend getting some other earpieces (I think they're around $3-$8 if you buy them on Amazon, but I would recommend getting some Phillips silicone earbuds, if you can).

5 comments about Griffin 9757-IKAROKE iKaraoke Microphone for iPod.
- I was really excited when I saw this product - even after reading the other reviews I wanted to give it a try. It wasn't all I was hoping for - the device works really well on some songs and terribly on others; it takes the volume of the entire song down, and if you try to turn it up the feedback becomes unbearable. I also feel that the micophone isn't as loud as it should be - just singing at a normal volume I hear my own voice but not coming out of the speakers. I had to sing really softly in order to hear my voice with the echo effect. It was fun to play with for about 15 minutes, and I think once they work out some of the kinks it will be a lot of fun - but I would suggest saving your money and waiting for the next model.
- This is a good product for extremely amateur singer. Great for the car though so long as you music isn't too loud (alot of feedback if it is). At home I couldn't find a long enough cord to get away from the speakers so I wouldn't get any feedback so I bought an extension cable from Wal-Mart and that solved the problem. If you use the FM modulator you have to be pretty close to the stereo and that picks up some feedback. Also, the mic picks up alot of breathing noises so I put some foam from some cheap headphones over it secured with a rubber band. You think at the price it would have something over the mic to stop excessive noise. All-in-all though its a fun product and with some tweeking you can have alot of fun.
- After reading about all the things the iKaraoke was supposed to do, I was immediately skeptical. Still, tho, for less than I'd spend on a good meal for two somewhere, I decided to take a chance.
The mic has two modes, one with the original vocals intact, and one (in theory) with the vocals removed. For the latter, I've tried many different songs with a wide variety of ranges, tempos, styles, etc, and the best I've gotten from the iKaraoke is to severely muffle and distort the vocals...but never completely getting rid of them. Another problem, is that anything in the same frequency range as the vocals (including instruments and YOUR voice as well) are also severely muffled. I had some fun with it, and noticed that the more 'off key' I sang, the more I was able to hear myself.
The bottom line is this: The iKaraoke does NOT do what it claims to do. If it's worth $40 to spend the evening tinkering and TRYING to get it to work, instead of blowing it at a bar, the movies, etc, then have at it. Understand that your money WILL be spent for nothing, however, and in the end, you'll find that it was more fun singing without it.
- I like the thought of this item. It pretty much does what it says. The radio frequency is a little challenging to get good quality sound. When it "minimizes" the lead vocals, it minimizes everything making it harder to hear. I like it and will use it again, but I think there is room for improvement.
- I bought this item, and after reading all the manual and try to use it, I returned to the store and asked for a refund.

3 comments about LightSnake STGC15 15 Foot Heavy Duty Guitar Cable.
- This item works pretty well, I gave it 4 stars because it's kind of hard to manage while on stage since it doesn't have a rubber cover like others. It has a plastic cover which makes it kind of difficult to bend. But it you can live with that, I would reccomend it....
- Very lite and sounds good, too. I thought that maybe it would light-up because, it was called a LightSnake (a little misleading to someone who doesn't know a thing about guitar cords). But it doesn't. It should have been called LITESnake. My son loved it anyway so, that's all that really matters. Five Stars, it works great.
- I purchased two of these and after less than a month one of these is already useless. It has an intermittent open conductor that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Obviously no good for performances and less than helpful at home. My email to SoundTech for replacement bounced back as undeliverable. Don't buy.

- This item works well. It is a bit hard to get to lay flat but not too bad. It is still curled a bit at the ends.
- The item was new and the original packages, this is to 3 speaker cable, or two power cable, is you need to using all buy more tape, the one that coming in the box is not enought.
- I wanted to put 2 cable sized cords and 1 telephone cord under this product, but that was too much. Since I tried that, the sides would not stay down. They don't give you enough tape either. When I tried to remove this product, I found that goo gone was the best product to take away the sticky residue.
- Let me start by saying I have wood floors. This thing comes rolled up, and wants to stay that way. I tried using the double stick tape to keep it down, but by the end of the day, it comes right back up. its really short too. definitely not worth it. At the end of the day i tossed it out, and just got painters tape to cover my wires until i go to home depot and get a better solution.
- We used this on top of ceramic tile and the tape that is included does not stick to the bottom of the cord concealer well. I had to get some more from the hardware store to replace it.

2 comments about iLive IC618B Clock Radio with Enhanced Sound and Docking Station for iPod (Black).
- Overall this is a good clock and the speakers are very clear. My iPod Touch fit just fine and it was always charged afterwards.
But even with these good things, I must warn people about this items main purpose: this is a poor alarm. The controls are a little confusing but I still managed just fine to set the alarm. My biggest complaint is in the alarm's volume; the alarm starts out soft but it quickly gets louder and louder until it is at an almost deafening volume. This will be good for people who have to get up but I am planning on using this item in college in my dorm but it is way too loud for the close quarters of a dorm room, especially when another person will be in the room.
I just want to warn people of this one thing so you don't have to return the clock like I am.
- i personally didn't try this myself because i gave it as a gift but the person that has it says it is great. it has great sound and good features.
