  1. I really enjoy this bag, I have a Dell Inspiron 1520, fits into the bag perfectly, I can put my charger and my modem into the bag and still have extra space. I love the design on the front and I would recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a laptop bag.

  2. I bought this bag for my new computer. I wanted a sturdy and well cushioned bag that was strong enough for daily work trips and occasional travel. This bag is great! It has so much cushion/protection for your computer. If you take out the extra caseing, you can actually fit about 4-5 magazines(or files w/ same thickness)with a front pouch for writing pens, glasses, etc. The bag itself has cushion and is very sturdy. The bag is stylish and the material is strong like a well made travel tote. Strap is comfortable and adjustable to suit anyone's need. The price is right once you have the bag in hand. In comparison to other bags, this could easily give you a few years (2-3 or more) before you think of getting another. I like to change bags every few years just to get a different look, change it up. The brown is a deep chocolate with nice gold swirls. The inside is lined with a slightly richer chocolate. A little wide, but my computer is 15.4 and it fits comfortably with some room to spare. Good buy and well made for the price. I highly recommend this bag.

  3. I LOVE the bag. I needed a way to transport my laptop to school and also to travel with ease and also make a fashion statement. The power cord, along with my binder fit with ease. My friends also love it. I am very pleased with the quality, durability and the space the bag has to offer.

  4. I purchased this bag for a friend who just bought a new laptop with a 17 inch screen. While the bag descripton says "15.5" the bag comes up when you search for 17" storage. . .and the computer *does* fit, but barely! Lots of pockets and "places" (I LOVE bags with "places") Great on organizational space. The padded computer sleeve is completely removable and secures the computer into it with an elastic/velcro closure. I purchased this with the matching computer "sleeve" in like-style hoping that it would fit inside the bag. It doesn't, but that's the only down-side I've found. Not your "normal looking" laptop case -- which is why I got it in the first place. Excellent bag!

  5. This bag is incredibly stylish. Many have asked me where I got this bag and told me how much they love it. It stores my laptop well and the firm, padded compartment (which is removable) provides adequate protection for my laptop. It lacks compartments to organize accessories but this bag has enough room to store most of my laptop accessories. This was a great buy from Amazon.

  1. I've been using these daily for about three months now. They have a comfortable fit, and a good sound to them. The bass isn't extreme, but it is just the right amount. And the highs come in clearly. Although they can start to get uncomfortable after extended periods (3 hours or more usually). The sound isolation is pretty good. When you put them in, just make sure they are in your ear good and snug. If not, it will sound like there is no bass. Tune the EQ just right, and these will sound excellent.

  2. I really like the sound of these buds. Add the fact that they don't cost very much and it's a good deal.

However, after 1 month of heavy use (daily for about 2 hours), one of the rubber ear buds started to become loose and would fall off sometimes in my ear and other times on the floor. And finally, last night, it was gone... it just dropped off somewhere unknown.

Hope I can get JVC to send me a little rubber thingy...

  3. Great product - all headphone manufacturers should be following this good example (as long as they can afford to compete with cheaper alternatives).
ONLY PROBLEM - Is as already mentioned - very easy to lose the silicon rubber part that sits on top of the earbud probe. I lost mine this morning when I took them out of my ears - only used them firsdt time today and looking for spares. Hope I can find some spares after paying a higher price for them - not only bought in a retail shop but also in the UK !!!
You can turn up the volume to virtually highest setting (dependent on your device) and even in the quitest area you are in - no-one around you can hear a thing coming from your music device !!!! Even taking them out of your ears - holding in your hands, you can't hear yourself as proof - ok if you have BLASTING music coming out at higher volumes and you are partly deaf then nothing will block this out.

  4. Although these are not noise canceling ear buds, they work very well at blocking out background noise. I use these at work and they help muffle the neighboring conversations around me.

The build quality is very good. I like the extra ear bud pieces included. The case is of so-so design but I just wrap the cord around my media player anyway. The sound is also very good. Highs and lows are reproduced accurately.

You can't beat the price on this JVC ear bud set.

  1. I bought this for $5 at Walgreens. It runs on one double A battery, and is very portable. Truly the sound wuality isnt that great, but it is really worth the money. It is about 3in long, and 1 inch wide, and can fit into any pocket. I am generally not pleased with coby products, but i would recomend this, becuase it is well worth the seven bucks.

  2. Sometimes I like to listen to an audiobook in a quiet place but I don't feel like wearing earphones so I searched for a mini speaker system. Hence, I found this product and bought it. Just got it today. It is just what I was looking for. The volume is loud enough for a fairly quiet, private place to listen. The construction seems solid. The sound quality is so-so yet I can still enjoy listening to music through it if I desire to. It actually seems a little bit thick and heavy compared to my iPod Classic but it will do its job nicely.

  3. Even brand new with a fresh battery, this device has a very weak, tinny sound -- basically useless to me even to listen to voice-only podcasts.

  4. I bought this (Coby CS-MP23) simultaneous with the Coby CS-P14, and a Walgreens "GoStereo" generic version (I don't think it even has a model name on it), all for the same price (see another review here for the price). The MP23 and the GoStereo were from Walgreens, and the CS-P14 was from an electronics store. The one I kept was the generic "GoStereo" version from Walgreens. The CS-MP23 uses a single AA battery, but was slightly less loud with worse sound quality. All three had very bad volume, and not-so-hot sound, even for voice. But the GoStereo won in both quality and volume categories (it uses two AAA's), although it is a skosh bigger in terms of volume.

  5. Got it yesterday. Didn't work. Just creates an annoying sound. Comes in the annoying package that just makes it a pain to return. Here is $7 I'll never see again. A shame they don't give you the option of zero stars. Amazon however is the best. Never had a problem with them, it's definitely about the product, not the seller.

  1. We were redoing our family room and I wanted to take the opportunity to add rear surround speakers to our home theater system. As the underside of our floor was inaccessible, the easiest choice was to lay some flat wire under the new carpet pad.

This product worked perfectly for that purpose. It is flat enough to lay without leaving any impressions and the conductor is large enough to easily power the speakers. The price was right too, compared with competing products.

  2. This wire is perfect for running under carpet, if you're too lazy to get under your crawlspace, or you're on a slab. I've bought it before. Returning customer.

  3. Product description fails to mention that the spool of wire does come with a set of speaker pins. Actually, they are compression type and do not require any soldering/crimping. The wire is foolproof, neat and with any luck, fit exactly between the wall the carpet nail strips... :).

  4. ok i just bought this and I'm stoked! I'll update you when I install it.

i spent quite some time looking for speaker wires for my HOME THEATER SYSTEM and learning about AWG in the past few days so I thought I'd share.
i have an ONKYO HT-SR800 with speakers @8ohms, and my rears are <45 ft from the receiver, so I only need 16 AWG.
    there's a useful chart here:
    http://www.roger-russell.com/wire/wire.htm#introduction
    hope it helps!

  5. I bought this for the color. It matches the color of my walls. I'm not running it under carpet. It's kind of an eggshell color instead of bright white.

I had no trouble stripping and cutting the wire. The sound is excellent. Mine didn't have a compression connection at the end. It was just straight wire.

5 comments about Creative Aurvana X-Fi Noise-Canceling Headphones.
  1. I compared these headphones to the Bose QC2 headphones for about a week. I was trying to decide which ones to keep. I tried them at home, in an airplane, in busy streets, everywhere I could. It was a tough choice.
I had read other reviews online touting the Aurvana XF-I headphones as the best, and that they blew away the Bose. To my ears, that's not true. The XF-I technology DOES improve the sound of compressed audio, but teh Bose headphones also sound excellent without the XF-I technology. I also read that the Aurvana cans were louder as well; however, my experience was that the Bose were a lot louder -- and I just couldn't get the Aurvanas loud enough to really rock out.

In any case, the XF-I function really does work, and the sound was excellent (with the power turned on). I didn't think they were that special with the power turned off. So as far as sound quality, the Bose and the Creative were close, with the Creative slightly beating the Bose in quality, but the Bose beating the Creative in volume. Both the Bose and the Creative sound excellent, though.
Sound quality Winner: Toss-up with an advantage to the Aurvanas.

In comparing comfort, I found the Aurvana headphones to be bulkier and heavier. The Bose were so much lighter and more comfortable to wear.
    Comfort Winner: Bose.

Sound leakage: My major complaint about the Aurvanas is that when turned up, people sitting near you can hear your music. You risk disturbing a fellow passenger with the Aurvanas. I found the Bose QC2 to be much quieter on the outside, keeping the sound in your ears, and not out into the world. Since I sometimes like to crank it up, this was an important consideration.
    Sound Leakage Winner: Bose

Finally, I omapared the noise-canceling quality. Both headphones performed admirably, and it was tough to get a read on it, even after switching back and forth 10 or 20 times. The Aurvana headphones did seem a little more quiet in certain situations, but I'm not sure if that was my imagination or not. But on the airplane, it was definitely a toss up. Both headphones did an outstanding job of noise canceling. You may hear a slight hiss with the Aurvanas as they emit the counter-frequency, but it's not annoying at all and very slight. You won't be able to hear it with music playing.
    Noise canceling Winner: Toss-up

Conclusion: Since these headphones are so comparable in quality and in noise-canceling ability, I had to base my decision on comfort and noise leakage. I returned the Aurvanas and kept the Bose.

This was a tough call, since the Aurvanas are excellent headphones. I think it comes down to a matter of what's important to you.
If you do love these headphones but find they can't get loud enough either, then I recommend going on ebay and getting a CMOY headphone amplifier. They're around $35 and they will crank up your volume. they are home-made in Altoids tins but very professional. They'll make your Aurvanas louder, but remember that the person sitting next to you will definitely hear everything.

Afterthought: Battery Life. The Bose QC2 uses just 1 AAA battery that is supposed to last for 35 hours. The Creative Aurvana XF-I requires 2 AAA batteries which are supposed to last 9 hours. However, the Aurvanas can still be used without batteries (quality is decreased), while the QC2 headphones will not operate without a charged battery. You decide....

    Happy shopping!

  2. I bought the Creative Aurvana vs. the Bose based on reviews in Maxim. Probably should have done a little more homework...They function nicely and do fit better than Bose (I have a big head) but I expected a little more clarity for this price. Overall, a good product just not outstanding.

  3. I experienced an unacceptable low background rumble in active noise cancelling mode with both the new pair and their replacements. I also own the Bose QC2 and find they generate a very slight but quite acceptable background hiss.

  4. I have had a set of the original BOSE NC headphones for many years and they are finally starting to deteriorate and getting a deep buzzing sound sounds a bit like a ground short. This old version has the external battery box and on off switch. I picked them up at the San Francisco airport and used them on one of those Embriar 180 turbo prop outfits United flies which are very loud. The sound of these off my IPOD is better than the old Bose ones due to the X-Fi. I would characterize the Aurvana as having more of an audiophile quality as opposed to a rock your socks. These headphones don't seem to have the same volume level that I was able to get from my old Bose headphones. So if you are a more discriminating listener and enjoy the nuances in the music I would recommend these over the Bose.

  5. I ordered these headsets only 7 days before a cross country flight. They were delivered within 4 days, in time for my flight. They worked great. There were several toddlers on the plane, crying, whining, and just generally being annoying and the Aurvana NC headsets blocked it all! They are well worth the peace and quiet I experienced. I am looking forward to many more uses.

5 comments about Agent18 Shield Case for iPhone 1G (Clear).
  1. First off, I like the company (Agent 18) and their business ethics!

As for the case? It's the closest thing to what I was looking for aside from a couple of things. I just wanted a simple case that would protect my phone from minor drops without being too bulky like most cases. I was hoping this case would of been a hardened (slightly soft) rubberized clear plastic, but it's just hard plastic. I do like how the case is completely open in the front. Should be protected as long as you drop it on a flat surface as it creates a slight ledge around the whole iPhone's surface. If you were to drop it onto rocks or something rough there's a good chance the screen could get damaged, but if I do that I'm not going to blame the case. Not that the case is heavy, but it would of been nice if the case was open on the back just like the front to make it a little lighter in weight and a little less bulky. The back is completely covered by the plastic, probably to help keep it sturdy, but I still think they could of used less plastic on the back. It came with a plastic dock adapter tray of some sort, but it makes absolutely no sense to me. It allows your phone to sit in it with the case on, but then what? The dock doesn't fit into my charger base... Maybe it works for radio or speaker system docks? I don't know, the information it came with doesn't tell you anything about it. I can plug my adapter straight into it through the adapter, but I can do that without the adapter tray as well. So what is it's purpose? It's not a stand by any means...

Sooo... in summary, it's a good simple case without being too bulky and still allows you to see the sleekness of the iPhone.

  2. I was first introduced to this company when my friend bought a case for his 1st Gen Nano about 3 years ago. I received an iPod Video that Christmas and decided to try the iPod polycarbonate case of theirs. When I remove it, the iPod video still looks new (despite being years old now).

I naturally went with the iPod touch case they offered, and it is perfect. It leaves the brightness sensor and screen unprotected, as well as the docking port and sleep button. It snaps securely onto the iPod and adds some bulk to it (but not too much -- I prefer a little bulk, as to drop small things). Everything is accessible, and it can even dock and mount an iTrip. It reliably protects the iPod from most drops.

  3. I've had this case now for about 3 weeks and it looks great. Probably doesn't provide much protection, but it's better than nothing. The problem is that the two halves of the case are no longer secure and when I pull the iPhone from my bag, the case often separates. I have only opened the case twice since first putting it on the iPhone and so I'm not sure why this is. Nonetheless, the product is cheaply made and it shows. Apparently Agent 18 is an environmentally conscious outfit. As long as they make plastic cases that have to be replaced every month, they can hardly claim to be a responsible business.

  4. I purchased this case because the guys at the Apple really liked it. The case does a good job at keeping your iPhone safe, but I'm sorry I ever did buy this case. I guess the plastic was cut wrong in the inside, of the case I got, and thanks to that my iPhone now has to really ugly scratches on the back. I should have purchased a silicon case instead, and for those that like this case cause it's clear, it really is not. It's as clear as the silicon cases, sort of a whitish finish to it.

  5. I love this case, it protects my iphone from drops, and it's sleek, and the best part is that you can see the iPhone.
This is a hard plastic case btw.

  1. After checking out nano covers on Amazon, I came upon this product. What attracted me to it was its snazzy silver color (my nano is silver, and I wanted to stick with that theme), the durable materials its made from and the relatively low price. After getting it and using it for a few weeks now, I'm still pleased with the product. The face doesn't fit quite as snug as I had hoped, but I don't think its possible for it to fit any tighter. It doesn't create any problems, though, its just that I'm a bit picky. From the bottom of my nano, there is a very slight gap between the face of the cover and the mp3 player. But no trouble so far with any dirt or fibers making their way in. I would definitely purchase this cover again.

  2. ... the ONLY problem I had with it is that it was a lighter color silver than the picture shows. Other than that it's fantastic. Works perfectly.

  3. I purchased this to protect my 8GB Nano. It sports a brushed metal front with a clear acrylic plastic back. It seems to fit pretty solidly around the iPod. There's a screen protector built into the case and even a clear plastic piece over the click wheel. This doesn't seem to inhibit the functionality of the click wheel in any way, which I'd been slightly concerned about. A very sturdy feeling case that preserves the original color and design of the iPod. The clear back is a nice touch, especially for people who might have had something engraved on the back of their device. A simple case for a reasonable price.

  4. The case fits the Nano well, and the click wheel cover does not interfere with the operation. I had some trouble with rubberized skin cases. The plastic case is made of two parts that you must snap together. It's got a good amount of tension so I don't think it wille easily fall apart. I dropped my nano on a wood floor and it was fine. The case does not come with a lanyard but there is a sturdy place to attach one. A good buy when you need the extra protection of a hard case, e.g. you are putting your nano in backpack of other gear and might get squashed.
