  1. At roughly $40, these earphones offer great sound and comfort for a reasonable price. I was not happy with the standard Ipod earbuds but did not want to fork out $80 or more for the Etymotics or other earplug type phones. The Denon's tonal balance is not bright for a change, and some may wish for some more pronounced highs, but I think it is a nice change from the often fatiguing harshness in this area. I am perfectly happy with the bass response using the Ipod's Bass Booster setting--the only EQ setting on the Ipod that does not sound terrible in my opinion. Highly recommended.

  2. By far some of the finest quality in-ear headphones I've ever used. I've owned shure, sony, and now these Denon's and they easily rival my Sennheiser on-ear headphones for audio quality, and due to the noise-blocking of the in-ear style they are much better for use in loud or noisy environments.

    Incredible quality for the price..

  3. Worst headphones I've ever had. Yes, they are the most comfortable in ears I've ever tried, but their performance sucks otherwise.

First off, they have NO low end. The crappiest in ears at least have a little base to them. These have none at all. Everything sounds like its coming through a tin can.

Second, they pop and crackle at any reasonable volume. Not ear-shattering volumes, but like 3 out of 10 volumes.

If I hadn't destroyed the hermetically sealed packaging getting them out, I would return these sh* headphones.

    STAY AWAY.

  4. My son loves these noise canceling headphones. They seem to be much more durable than the ones that come with the apple ipods and iphones too. We were replacing those every 3 months, but these hold up to normal wear and tear.

  5. All of my other earphones & headphones are now collecting dust. These earphones are light and easy to carry/wear, sound excellent, and block out most outside noise no problem. The unequal-length wires might annoy some, but they are perfect for a device in your left shirt pocket or an armband on your left arm. An extension cord is provided that works fine for other configurations, such as watching video.

Only those who generally dislike in-the-ear devices should avoid this one.

5 comments about Atlantic 8-Shelf Steel Multimedia Storage Rack (Black).
  1. Pretty easy to assemble and sturdy. I only use these to store our DVD's. Sleek and minimal appearance.

  2. A reviewer mentioned only being able to get Six of the Eight shelves in when storing DVDs. I was actually able to manage Seven with a tight fit, though I'm downgrading to Six to keep my boxes in shape.

Another review mentioned how flimsy the shelving was. It can be... or it could be considered 'adjustable.' My wood floors are uneven. The wide feet pivot slightly, and have long screws to accommodate uneven surfaces.

Now, my own thoughts: I've bought wooden DVD storage units that claim to have Six shelves, but Two of the levels had to be laying down, and the unit was flimsy. With this unit, you have Six shelves of DVD's with a little room to spare. the unit comes with dividers, or side guards, whichever you decide. It is sturdy yet adjustable, easy to put together and disassemble, the shelves have a half inch 'guard rail' on sides and back to prevent spills. The shelves are adjustable at half inch intervals.

I really can't say anything bad about this system. I've bought Three different DVD storage systems, thrown away one, and upgraded from the other. This one FINALLY does what I need it to; it stands up all my DVDs for easy access and holds them ALL. :)

  3. This is a great DVD rack. I had a cheap single DVD tower for the longest time and had to start piling DVDs next to it due to my growing collection. This rack is able to hold my 160+ DVDs and still has more room. If I go over the capacity on this one, I will definitely buy another. It's sturdy even on my carpet. I've had no complaints so far.

  4. These units are a snap to assemble, look great, and hold a lot of DVDs and CDs. We had teetering columns of DVDs and CDs stacked in rows on two waist-high wire shelf units about a yard wide by 18 inches deep. Completely inappropriate--looked like h*ll and when we removed a DVD the whole stack threatened to topple. My partner was skeptical that two of these could hold all those DVDs, but they did and two rows of one shelf are still empty. They hug the wall and freed up a couple yards of floor space. Customer service from Atlantic is top-notch as well. One of the female supports arrived with no threads inside, but Atlantic had a replacement to us within days.

  5. These racks are easy to assemble, very sturdy, and have "stays" to hold your CDs, DVDs or VHS tapes in place. You can store a lot of items in this compact rack! They are eye pleasing and light weight (when empty), if the need to move them about, presents itself.

5 comments about Kenneth Cole Reaction Business and Luggage Full-Grain Leather Laptop Messenger Bag (Black).
  1. This is a very nice looking bag and holds my 15 inch laptop without a problem. I have two complaints:
    1. The strap is a little short and cannot be replaced because one side is sewn into the bag. It hangs awkwardly when I wear it across my shoulder. This could be very awkward for someone tall
    2. The leather is thin. I will be interested to see how the bag holds up. it does come with a warranty.

  2. I did a lot of looking around for the right bag and when I saw this and read the reviews, it seemed like a fit. I was right. The quality of the leather is very good and smooth. It looks professional and with my tablet, it fits in the slot perfectly with room for the power adapter next to it. I don't like bulky, so this fit the bill well. There are plenty of pockets to hold things too. The only thing I find annoying functionally is that it doesn't have an attached handle at the top, so I have to slide it off my shoulder to put down in the car as opposed to grabbing it. Not the biggest ordeal in the world, just something I noticed. However, a handle would probably hurt the look of the bag anyway. Either way, I highly recommend this bag for any professional who wants a sleak lightweight look. By the way, I read complaints about the strap being sewn on being a problem - this hasn't been an issue at all.

  3. This is a really nice bag, the feel of satisfaction is over powering from owning it. Great job Kenneth

  4. I have had this bag a couple weeks now and I am looking for another. It may work well for you, but it doesn't work very well for me, because every time I put it in the car or take it on / off my desk, I miss the small handle that most bags have on the top for just this purpose. Instead, I am lifting my arm way up into the air to elevate the bag - not great for the ol' back. This bag only has a shoulder strap.

Also it's not large enough for what I need to put in it (I'm a teacher), there's virtually no expansion, and I find the extra pockets unwieldy.

    Very stylish though.

  5. I have been using this bag for a few weeks. It is a great light-weight bag. I use it for business...mostly to keep everything organized and with me (files, mp3 player, bluetooth, phone, etc.) I have used it with a small laptop for short periods of time and would not recommend it for full-time laptop duty. Overall I am very pleased with the quality and ability to organize with several pockets, compartments. I have also received lots of positive comments on the appearance.

4 comments about iLuv I707-BLK FM Transmitter with Car Adapter for iPod (Black).
  1. This transmitter works very well for my iPod Video with very little static through the radio. However, the volume is very low as compared with my cassette. I use this to keep my iPod charged in the car but still use the cassette with it so I can jam out. Overall it is a excellent product, but if your looking for sound quality, this won't cut it.

  2. I got this after my Monster transmitter started having some issues - probably due to cord damage. After some research, I bought this one since it also charges the iPod. It doesn't limit which stations you can choose, like some and I have no problem finding a good frequency. Only get static occasionally, which I've heard is a big problem in cities. I've only had it about a month, so I can't attest to its durability, but so far I am very happy with it - haven't had to charge my iPod inside for weeks!

  3. I bought this transmitter thinking it was similar to my old one that I had which unfortunately broke after MUCH use. This transmitter was terrible. It never held the transmission. Very frustrating and disappointing. Luckily I saved the packaging and returned it.

  4. Great signal, great sound, it works very good,it even works perfect if you take it off the 12v device, fit's different sizes of ipods, easy to handle...easy working.....

5 comments about HOSA CFR-210 Stereo Female Mini to 2 RCA Male Plugs ? 10 Feet.
  1. Upon purchasing my new Sharp LCD flat panel TV a few months back I discovered the set came without a headphone jack. Why manufacturers insist on doing this is beyond me as I know a lot of consumers would like the option of private listening. Living in a condominum where high decible sound travels to adjoining units can put me at odds with my neighbors so headphones are nice to have. Sometimes a movie has erratic sound levels and portions of dialogue are not audible or when my dishwasher and electric baseboard heater compete with TV sound or when I want to hear a music concert I find headphones are a nice option.
It was then I heard about the Hosa CFR 210. I ordered the product on Amazon and ..well..after a simple hookup to my two audio outlets that took all of 10 seconds I had headphone sound! The Hosa product has a 10 foot line and all you do is plug your phones into it and you're in business. One little negative to all this is (at least with my set)is that the volume on the phones remains the same (adequate)regardless of how high or low you set the TVs volume via your remote. My phones have their own volume control so this really poses no problem as I can turn the sound up or down anyway.
I highly recommend the Hosa CFR 210.

  2. EXACTLY what I was looking for.

This one is 10 feet. If you want it just to use as an adapter, you want the 6 inch version: Cables To Go Hi-Clarity audio cable - 6 in ( 03182 )

You can accomplish the same thing with various, more common adapters (of course) but stringing them end to end started to get a little ugly. So I went online and found exactly what I was looking for. What I'm sure most people (even you) will be using this for is plugging headphones or computer speakers to the audio-out ports on a TV or game console. If you're using amplified computer speakers with their own volume, perfect. If you're using headphones, you'll need to get an in-line volume control or else, as said in another review, the volume cannot be turned up or down. Here's the one I bought. Koss VC20 Volume Control

  3. I needed a way to connect my TV to my computer speakers. This worked perfectly

  4. i connected my tv RCA output to my computer speakers using this cable. It rocks!

  5. 10 feet is WAY MORE then I really needed!

Works flawless with my Zune and my receiver at home. Planning on testing out in the car eventually due to it having stereo inputs also.

3 comments about Monster Cable SS-6 Speaker Switcher for 6 Pairs of Speakers.
  1. I'm highly pleased with the utility of the monster speaker selector. Connections are easy, logical, and the sound does not appear degraded at all. Make sure you always have the protection button engaged. Without it, my amp shut down.
The SS6 is a good way to run speakers to other rooms and outdoors

  2. The Monster Cable SS-6 Speaker is a great product, at first I thought it would help me to connect my 3 additional speakers, but to my surprise it was able to connect 12 speakers! (6 sets of two/audio-area), this is something great for the price it costs.

  3. This six pair speaker selector switch replaced a piece of junk I had unfortunately purchased from Radio Shack. The old switch had bleed-through to non-selected speakers, which sort of defeats the purpose.

The monster switch works as it should - sound only from selected speakers. It also looks nice, with an attractive black coated aluminum housing, and the switches seem to be of good quality. The connectors in the back are a little bit awkward if you don't plan to use the "gold plated pins" that monster would like to sell you, which I don't. Copper is a good enough conductor, thank you.

  2. purchase experience was very good. Delivery was fast and product exactly what I ordered.

  3. I really dislike most of these packs. I have gone through several sets and even went with another brand once. None of them have the life span that the manufacture claims. It is one of those, if you need them, kind of things. In other words, if you need it for your radio get it, it not leave them alone.

  4. This product was recieved in a very timely fashion and seems to be working fine.

  5. As I learned from another reviewer this battery works in more than Motorola walkie talkies than ones listed by Amazon. This was important info to help me find the right battery. Works great.

5 comments about Xbox 360 VGA HD A/V Cable.
  1. I bought these cables thinking between these cables and a new 21.6" Samsung Monitor I had managed to save my self hundreds of dollars and have a nice HD quality gaming set up. Monitor came I love it, cables came a few days later, i was so excited to see the picture. My heart sank and i was furious to see the horrible picture that resulted. I had the same ghosting, poor color, as everyone else stated. I did some research and blamed the problem on the fact my monitor's native resolution of 1680x1050 is not supported by the xbox360 therefor the problem is not the cable, its the picture being distorted as it trys to put it on the monitor. I put up with the bad picture since i had nothing else to play on and hoped for an update from M$ to support my resolution. Then these piece of @$@% cables REALLY messed up, replacing half the colors it showed with yellowish and green faded colors, then after restarting my 360 got the red lights of death. I plugged in the old cables and the 360 worked fine. Moral of the story I'm out $20, and i dont have the packaging for these cables.

  2. ...to the more expensive Microsoft Xbox 360 AV Cable. With this cable, you can use a standard VGA computer monitor with your 360, and the video quality (after changing the video settings in the Xbox Dashboard) is phenominal. Be warned though, if your monitor only has a cable ending in a male 15 pin conector, you will need a simple female/female gender changer (VGA Gender Changer HD15, F/F).

  3. This item does exhibit ghosting, although it isn't terrible for the best picture spending the few extra dollars for the OEM cable is worth it. The item feels cheap as if made of thin plastic and the video cable is small and the shielding feels thin, this could be the cause of the ghosting.

The ghosting can be seen in things like text in Halo 3, or any high contrast situation, IE: white text on dark background, will display this problem. Other than that it seems ok.

  4. This is a basic product that suits the needs it fulfills; an HD signal via VGA (D-sub 15-pin connector) with audio outputs in either Stereo RCA-type connectors or Optical high-fidelity sound.

The cable I received is from Intec; based on the vagueness of the product listing, I presume that the brand may vary from one order to the next.

The cable doesn't appear to take physical strain well, but taking care of cable strain is a part of maintaining a quality entertainment system anyway. I noticed that the final product features a mesh 'sleeve' around the cables. This may be an advantage for de-tangling or otherwise isolating this cable among others in a complex entertainment system, but otherwise seems like an aesthetic touch rather than a functional one.

For my application, I only use the two RCA plugs for sound, which is flawless so much as I can tell. I haven't tried out the optical connector (no fiber-ready audio system yet) but I can see the laser diode emitting light when the system turns on.

As far as cables go, there's not much in the way of features. It connects my 360 to a 19" Sony Trinitron CRT and audio goes into a basic home-theater system. The home-theater correctly detects the Dolby Surround signals, putting sound to the rear speakers when appropriate. Since the 360 itself is in charge of the picture resolution and frequency, there's not much to say for the cable. It works.

In my opinion, this is a quality 'clone' of the OEM product and is a worthy, low-cost alternative.

  5. Only buy this product if you are trying to save some money, as it is not the greatest quality cable. However, it does work fine when there are darker colors being shown on your monitor, only when there are lighter colors do you see some picture degradation.

5 comments about MAXXUM from SwissGear by Wenger Computer Backpack Red.
  1. This backpack is amazing! I can carry it everywhere I want. It's so comfortable, that I can even sleep with it. It has so many pockets that you can put your cell phone, bottle with water, laptop, mouse, foods and so much more. I think this is the perfect solution!

  2. I bought this backpack for college, as I needed a new one after I used the same old backpack for 4 years of high school. I was looking for one made of quality materials, lots of storage space, and adequate room to store a 15 1/2 inch laptop computer.

This bag fits all my expectations and then some.

The sheer volume of storage space is excellent; lots of nooks and crannies to store anything you want, and plenty of bag room to store at least 3 inch-and-a-half binders--with the laptop in the bag.

The shoulder straps are very comfortable, and the material allows the bag to breath against your back. I have not had a problem with back sweat yet :)

All in all, an excellent quality bag. A must for college.

  3. I bought this backpack about a year and a half ago. For the first year or so I was very satisfied. As others have said, it is huge. It can hold more than you can lift and will not tear or fall apart. I took on dozens of business trips all over the world, and was quite pleased with it. The problem I started having was the huge main zipper, eventually it will start separating. As the zipper goes to the bottom of the bag, it can dump the contents of your bag's main compartment on the ground. I had a couple of close calls before I decided to replace it. I of course can't duplicate it at will, so I never sent it in for service. I replaced it with another Swiss Gear bag where the zipper only goes 3/4 of the way down the bag. While it isn't nearly as roomy as this bag it does have less stress on the zipper and hasn't experienced the same problem. One thing to be careful of when packing, it can expand so much you may not fit it under a plane seat.

  4. This backpack is perfect for college students. You will never have an excuse for not having your books and laptop on you. There is plenty of room in all the pockets, and the backpack is very comfortable. The straps fit nicely, and the mesh padding keeps your back cool and comfortable. The laptop case is fairly well protected, keeping the laptop off the bottom of the backpack by about 2-3 inches.
The only criticism is that it is a little big- and a lot of people seem to have it on my campus
Bottom line: If you want a great backpack for a very affordable price this is your backpack

  5. This Backpack is durable, resistant, comfortable, fits a standard 15' and 15.4' laptops, and it has many compartments where you can basically store anything. Does not look big, yet has a lot of space to fill. Price its good, a good investment.
