  1. For $30, this power strip is a great deal and even comes with a short length of Monster coax

  2. Great product, great price! Just visit your local discounter and check out the prices of the cheapies to see that this is a steal at this price.

  3. Though i didnt notice any difference in the picture quality, i feel much better plugging in my $3000 HDTV and the home theater system in this powercenter.

  4. Monster is premium quality at a premium price. Musicians will pay more for a Monster patch cord than some folks would pay for an electric piano. But on closer inspection, this power strip is competitively priced. I recently purchased a 12-outlet Belkin strip at only several dollars below this Monster strip. But the Belkin would accommodate only 8 of my plugs because 6 of the receptacles are in a vertical row (with the ground holes on the inside, not the outside as is the case with Monster). Consequently, a right-angle plug took up the space of 3 receptacles, in effect reducing me to the same number outlets as this Monster.

Even so, why not save several bucks and get the Belkin? Two compelling reasons in favor of the Monster (the included HDMI cable isn't one of them): 1. The color coding is a thoughtful timesaver/frustration eliminator (how many times have you found yourself on the floor suddenly at a loss about which device connects to which receptacle?) 2. The well-illuminated surface tells you at a glance whether the unit is connected and receiving power (Belkin units have too few or zero lights, requiring the user to get down on all 4's to determine whether the problem is a loss of power to the strip).

I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars because only 3 of the 8 outlets are dedicated to those space-robbing power adapters (wall-warts). Count on the remaining 5 outlets accommodating no more than 2 additional power adapters.

  5. Just bought a new Sony HDTV and these surge protectors make everything including the TV safe.

  1. i dont know much about cable but this stuff suck really bad DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK PEOPLE WHO SAY GOOD STUFF ABOUT THIS ARE THE MAKER wARNIGN wARNING WARNING DO NOT BUY NO PAGAS N' ACHETES PAS

  2. Honestly, there's no difference between this cable and another cable. HDMI is great. FANTASTIC PICTURE QUALITY. You'll never go back to the lame Components or AV 's ever ever ever again.

  3. This HDMI cable is not very good value for money. You can get much better cables at whatever length you want for much less at certain online vendors. Not sure why they market this cable specifically for the PS3, maybe the color scheme?

All in all just get a different cable.

  4. I bought this cable and it did not work at all on my new Samsung LCD. Poor workmanship.

  5. This is not a good choice of cable for anything - I could not get about 720p resolution from connecting it to a PS3 and then when I swaped it for the HDMI I had connected to my DVR, all I got was mostly static - this item was returned! Do not waste your time in buying this.

5 comments about M-edge Genuine Leather Executive Case for Amazon Kindle (Black) (BACK ORDERED - Expected ship date 9/12/08).
  1. This is an elegant and beautiful morocco grain cover for the Kindle. The four corner pieces hold the Kindle far more securely than the original cover supplied by Amazon. While I didn't have any problems with the plastic tab not remaining in place, my Kindle did fall out of the original cover several times. This is not a problem at all with the M-edge cover. I have also not experienced the corner pieces causing any trouble with the next page or previous page tabs.

Overall, I'd say that the slightly increased size of this cover makes holding the Kindle and reading easier. It also still fits into the leg pocket in a pair of 'cargo' pants. I clamp the Mighty Bright Book Light to both the front and back covers when open to avoid marking the outside of the cover and the light works fine.

I was surprised when my cover arrived to find that the lining was gray. This , of course, eliminated the problem of staining the Kindle. The only drawback to the light lining is that it may be prone to accumulating stains.

I can't praise this product enough. I looks and feels wonderful. If you like understated elegance, this is the accessory for you.

  2. I'm still waiting for my backorder on this product, but I already see a very useful application for the inside pocket: it can hold a "belongs to" card very securely. The original Kindle cover has no obvious place to put such a label.

  3. I have a friend that bought the red version of this cover and loved it, but I have had big problems with the upper-left tab. It pinches the previous page button hard enough that it doesn't click gracefully anymore. Even worse, it activates randomly every 20 minutes or so and goes back about a dozen pages. I had to revert to the old kindle cover after an afternoon of frustration.

I may try stretching the leather on the upper left tab to see if I can fix it.

  4. Very nice. I wondered what to do with the strap when the Kindle was in use. Decided to fold over the book cover and tucked it into the holder (picture provided). Also gives you an inch and a half on the left side making the Kindle easy to hold in the left hand. You need to make sure the top right holder is not twisted or else the "Next Page" tab is engaged. Can be an issue when you slide it off the Kindle to access the power and wireless connection switches.

  5. I purchased this cover after reading reviewers' complaints about the cover that comes with the Kindle. After making the investment in the Kindle, I wanted the cover to be a good one. This cover truly is. The exterior is a soft slightly pebbled texture, supple and slightly padded. The tab latch is easy to use. The interior is a grey suede. The cover interior has pockets/slots on the left hand side. These turned out to be very handy during a recent trip as I was able to tuck my passport in a pocket along with my boarding pass, an unexpected bonus. The cover makes the Kindle look and feel more like a book.

"Apple iPod Travel Charger for Nano, 5G iPod with Video, 4G, 3G, Mini, Photo and U2"

    Sold by: BargainCell

  3. It works just as good as the expensive Apple one. If you are getting the composite video cables Apple includes one of these with the cables so don't buy this if you are getting the cables from Apple.

  4. I got this charger to charge my iPod Touch while I am on travel. The charger did its job the first time. On subsequent attempts to charge my device, the charger did not work. The battery was actually drained! This product is of low quality and I cannot recommend it. At the low cost, it is not even feasible to return the product for a refind. I give it 2 stars because I may just have a defective unit.

  5. I've been using this for a few months now for my iPod Nano, and it seems to work just fine. Certainly worth a couple bucks.

5 comments about Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphones.
  1. Very easy to connect to iPod wirelessly, small form factor and stylish. The sound is better than average but I'm not an expert audiophile like some other reviewers. My only complaint is the inability to lay down flat or on a pillow with these headphones...the band on the rear amkes it impossible to lay down on a pillow and keep listening comfortably. I did like the included AC charger with (2) charging terminals that allow charging the headphones and trasnciever simultaneously (very logical engineering). Thanks Logitech...keep it up!

  2. Overall I am very satisfied with these wireless headphones. I use them with my 5th generation iPod Video and they work great. Great for running and working out. Many reviews state that these headphones are uncomfortable, but I haven't experienced any discomfort when wearing them while I work out. Easy to pair up by just holding down the buttons on the receiver and the headphones. Occasionally, the sound cuts out for a split second but thats expected, especially in a gym with a bunch of other frequencies. Great sound too!

  3. These headphones arer glitch/dropout-free, sturdy and reliable...my only complaint is that the ear loops tend to wear on your ears after prolonged use, making the outside lobes of my ears a little sore...other than that, I love em!

  4. Unlike most people, I bought these to watch TV in bed. For that it has been a great improvement over my IR headphones, which had all kinds of interference and static at a distance of more than a few feet. These have much better in that regard. I find the recharging harness a little cumbersome, and the headphones hang from your ears with the band around the back of your head. So be prepared for a little irritation where they hang.

  5. I purchased these headphones back in March of 2007. They are great headphones, they provide excellent sound output and I used them because I dance and I hate being wired and having the headphones pop out of my MP3 player. This is also excellent when you are exercising, just put the MP3 player in your pocket or on the exercise machine and do your routine.

The reason this is not a 5 star is because the headphone receiver is EXTREMELY fragile. The wires behind the plug break down over time and if you plug the receiver directly into your mp3 player, your phones will be static-ey over time and soon will not work at all. My first pair went dead after 3 months, Logitech sent me a brand new pair without asking me to return the old one. They did ask why they were broken, which I told them what happened.

2nd pair lasted another 4 months until they broke again, this time I found out a solution to the problem. When I got my new pair (Logitech said it was the last time), I got an audio extender wire (About 3 inches long) and plugged the receiver into that and that into the mp3 player!

So, the receiver is fragile, but there is a workaround. Be sure you are careful with these and they will last.

My latest pair has lasted almost 10 months now! Happy listening!

5 comments about Bose® QuietComfort® 2 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® Headphones.
  1. I bought these with high expectations. I am returning them because whatever frequency is used in the noise canceling technology actually hurt my ears. I agree with other reviewers that the cover to the battery chamber is a flimsy plastic and could break off easily. Plus, closing the battery door, which should take a nanosecond, took me awhile because the fit is so tight, you have to close it in a certain way. When I did have the headphones on, they seemed to do a very good job at blocking sound. Honestly, though, I am going back to the type of ear protectors worn by hunters, they block sound VERY WELL because they are so well padded.

  2. I first encountered this product early in its commercial life, while flying cross country. My seat mate put his Bose headphones on with great relish, and offered me a listen. I eagerly obliged and in 30 seconds of listening, I thought: very good sound and where's the background noise? Really neat!

Months went by as I pondered the high price, whereupon I succumbed to Bose's slick marketing, and ordered a pair. After several hours of use, I became disenchanted with these headphones. First of all, these phones reduce noise, but do not cancel it. The high pitched whine of a jet engine comes through clearly, although reduced in volume. Other external noises intrude as well, reduced but hardly cancelled. A Bose dealer tested my phone's performance and deemed them to be within specification. In fairness to the Bose, it's noise cancelation works just about perfectly in a quiet, home environment, but not that well when you need it most, like on a plane. The packaging, instruction manual, and connection adapters are all top-notch.

One day I directly compared the Bose's sound fidelity to my 25-year-old pair of AKG K 240 GFs (non-noise canceling); the result: a virtual tie. The Bose had a slightly cleaner treble, but the AKG's had a slightly fuller bass and mid-range. Considering the Bose's high price, I feel that their sound quality is below that expected of a high-priced component.

Lessons learned? For a high-end audio component, research competing components, take ample time to shop and listen carefully, simultaneously comparing your final choices if possible. Consider the manufacturer's marketing claims with a grain of noise, albeit reduced.

  3. i was traveling a couple of times this summer and used my husband's set of headphones. They were terrific; I could not believe how mush noise they kept out. I bought myself a pair for the next trip as my husband was going with me. We will never travel again without them!!!!!

  4. A warning to anyone who is considering purchasing the Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headphones. My THIRD pair of QC2 headphones broke today on the plastic piece between the headband and the earpieces. The first two broke within less than one year of use and were replaced by Bose under warranty. From discussions with Bose customer service representatives, this was a very common problem with the first generation QC2 device.

My third QC2 was apparently a revision designed to solve the headband breakage issue. This one lasted two years. I called Bose Customer Service (again) to complain and was told that Bose refused to replace my headset because it was no longer under warranty. But they offered to sell me a replacement for $100. What a scam for Bose --- trying to generate a revenue stream by charging $100 a pop to replace a product with significant history of breakage.

I declined -- who wants to pay [...] every year or two for a product that in all probability will just keep breaking? I will never purchase another Bose headset ever because they are so pricey and seem to be slated to break within a year or two of use. My expectation is that a [...] headset should last much longer. I'll probably never purchase anything by Bose again. High price, so-so quality. These should have cost [...].

While intact, I enjoyed my QC2 - very comfortable and did a good job of helping tune out crying babies on airplanes and chatter in the office. But [...]is too much to pay for a product with a high probability of breaking.

  5. I bought these for my GF to use on her recent trip to China. She loves them on the plane. Once she got home, I had a chance to 'test' them out. I tried mowing the lawn with them tonight and here is what I found:

    Pros:

Great noise cancellation. That's a no brainer. they are built for it
    Sounds great...trebble..bass...all there
    Comfortable and light

    Cons:

Only two volume selection: high and low. I had the Ipod volume on max and it didn't seem that loud.
Sweaty ears. Man did I sweat after taking them off. It wasn't that hot outside either. You'll get sweat all around the ear piece. I don't know if that's leather or vinyl.
Flimsy cord-the cord is very small. I was afraid I might get tangle while mowing and pull the wires apart. I wish it could slightly thicker.

OVerall a great sounding headset. I wished I had more time to research different brands before settling on the Bose. She is my princess and deserves the best!!!

  1. This item was purchased to replace a similar item that lasted 12 years. It too was a Sony. The item arrived on time in new condition as advertised and works great. It should since it is a Sony.

  2. These headphones are great to watch TV late at night when your wife wants to sleep.

  3. The Sony MDR-IF240RK infared cordless headphones are a great deal. They work perfectly and sound great. I have two other sets of corded headphones but these sound better then both of them. There only drawback is since the infared they have to be in line of sight with the sending unit. I chose these over RF units because I live in an aptment building and the RF unit get a lot of interfernce from other devise in ajoining apartments.

  4. The headphones are fine. I'm more bummed at Amazon because the price (about $40) was supposed to include shipping and I was charged for the shipping. There is no way to contact Amazon that I know of in order to ask them to correct this misrepresentation.

  5. I bought this product to watch TV while keeping the volume low. The product is either defect or poor quality. It only receives the sound intermittently. When I turned my head, the sound would disappear. I only kept it for one day before I return it.

5 comments about Component AV Cable for Nintendo Wii.
  1. The cables are not gold-plated as the product description claims, so I dinged them one star. But forget about that, do they make the picture look better than the standard cables? I have a 42" DLP and there's definitely a difference. It's not huge - it won't turn your Wii into a PS3. But with these cables I can flip between 480i and 480p and there's a definitely difference in the amount of color bleeding, especially with text. Are they worth it? Hey, they cost under $10 including shipping. If you have a big TV, go for it. Just make sure you go into to your Wii settings and switch to 480p.

  2. I bought this as a gift for a friend with a Wii and a HDTV. The 480p output that this cable enables (and you have to select this output setting inside the Wii setup screens) looked better than the standard 480i output that the OEM cable enclosed in the box produces. Some cable snobs think that "high-quality" cables will make a lifetime of difference, I prefer to save the money for other things.

As others have pointed out, the Wii does not produce HDMI signals... the best the Wii can do is 480p output over these sorts of component-output cables (an analog, not digital signal). It's yet another reason that the Wii can retail for less than the other game consoles. That said, the improvement in appearance was well worth the modest cost of these cables.

  3. This cable is cheap, and made a noticeable difference in visuals for my Wii. I've compared this with the regular composite cable (the one that comes with the Wii) on a 29" CRT and 32" LCD tv and these make the contrast, colors, and edges more defined and vibrant. For the price and visual boost, I don't think it gets any better. If you're in the market for Wii component cables, buy this one.

  4. I've replaced my standard AV cables that came with the Wii with these cables and after comparing them I've noticed a few things right away. These cables really enhanced the color of the images on the screen and make things seem a lot brighter. But I'm not sure if it's the cables, the game or my tv but the characters seem a lot more pixelated when the Wii is in HD mode with these cable attached. I'm trying them with Wii sports since I lack any other games at the moment. Even the menu screen seems more pixelated and grainy. Either way, even if this is the way the cables actually display on all TVs and I haven't missed anything in the setup, I think the trade offs are acceptable. I like the cables and I think I'll leave them on for now.

  5. Same quality as the most expensive cables and a much better price.
    Get yours today!

5 comments about Sennheiser PMX70 Sport Line Stereo Neckband Headphones.
  1. I am a runner. But to say I am a runner who sweats profusely would be a gross understatement. To give the reader the scope of my "sweat condition" - The only reason why I would even venture near a treadmill(and have had to do so of late)is when outside temperatures reach levels where I am unable to replenish my fluids at the rate which it is being lost. So this brings me to the headphones. Every so often a product comes along that fulfills a yearning that you have pretty much given up on. I have tried every headphone out there - you name it! One thing always happens after a few drops of sweat roll down to my ears - they fall out!! I had stopped running with head phones, and completely given up all hope of ever being able to so again, until I put on the Sennheiser PMX70 Sport Line Stereo Neckband Headphones. Two, three, four miles later, the headphones remained in place, with no change in the sound quality. Simply AMAZING. You know, one thought comes to mind as I type these words: You can say what ever you want about the Germans, but what no one can dispute is their ability to deliver quality products. I was so blown away by the quality of this product that I went looking to see if the company is publicly traded - Private, unfortunately.

In terms of the complaints other reviewers have with regards to the pain -- it was non-existent for me. I have small to medium size ears, so that could be a reason why I didn't experience any pain. And even if I did, it would be no problem whatsoever bearing the pain until my ears got use to the headphones. I am very pleased.

  2. I use these head phones for working out. They are light and sound great. I don't think they have too much pressure.

The only complaint that I have is that even after wearing them for a couple of months the cord still wants to roll back up. It's not really that annoying since the cord is usually snaked down my shirt, but it can lead to some minor tangles in my gym bag.

I've never had a problem with them staying on and they seem very durable.

  3. Attention others with small(ish) heads and ears: these headphones will be uncomfortable. The back piece kept hitting my back with each stride on the elliptical machine, and like others have mentioned, the ear buds will hurt your ears after a few minutes.

    I was very disappointed.

Bottom line: Not for those with smaller heads and ears.

  4. Excellent pick for those who are looking for something that won't move out of place during intense workouts. In addition, it's very light that you forget it's there.

  5. I have had a set of the Sennheiser headphones for years and in that time my wife and daughter have gone through several other sets that had one ear or the other go out but mine rock on. Now we all have the PMX70's and love em. The are light fit great and if you run they are very easy to use. Highly recommend this product for comfort, durability, sound and just all around.

  1. Tried all three sizes of the interchangeable earbud sleeves, the smallest tend to work for me because they sit on the opening of my ear canal rather than hanging on loosely on the inner rimming of the antitragus like the large ones. The middle interchangeable earbud sleeves are too big for the ear canal and too small to hang on the antitragus, but hey, the bass is good. I like drum and bass or rock when I'm all revved up for cardio but the earbud with the shorter cord ends up falling out because it gets the most tug when I run. Neck-banded headphones are usually my preference but for those who wanted a review on this that work out and want to enjoy their music with the most effective equipment this falls shy. Also, why should I have to rap the cord around my ear on the side it falls out on? I do it anyways but should I really have to? Maybe a company should engineer a better earbud? I don't know, I'm just the consumer.

  2. I am really happy with my ear buds - they work great and are very comfortable. The three sizes of covers would help them fit anyone comfortably I believe. The price was great and as usual Amazon's service was good. I'm no audiophile or anything but I'm very happy with these.

  3. ... and look for something else. These are terrible! I heard there were fakes of these, but hoping I wouldn't get them here. I'm not sure if these are fake or not, but by some of the web-sites I read, they could be. Regardless, I can't return them.

  4. First I bought the earbuds for $20 after shipping and handling on Amazon. I would not pay much more, they sound good, but not amazing and they have a few things that hold them back. First the cable is not very long, if I have my ipod in my pocket the earbuds barely reach my ears if the ipod is in my left pocket and will not reach both ears if it is in my right pocket. This is due to the shortened length on the cable leading to the left ear. The right ear is fine but not the left. Second the rubber they used for the cabling is very clingy and leads to random removal from the headphone jack. The earbuds otherwise sound good, but again not great, and the rubber earbuds take some getting used to inside your ear.

  5. I bought this model in white 2 weeks ago and it was only 29.99 and now they are 53.00 i dont know why and i bought it directly from amazon with there free shipping deal and if took them 2 weeks to get to me. In the mean time i went to circuit city and bought the same model in black. They sounded really good and was thrilled with my purchse. when i got the one's from amazon they dont sound even 1/2 as good as one from circuit city and have no base either. they are the same model just differenct color. all i can think now is that amazon is also selling the fake one's for cheap price. firs time ever i regret buying from amazon.
