  1. I just hope somebody who is thinking of buying these on eBay reads this and realize how many fakes are on eBay EVEN when the seller claims they are genuine.
Anyway, these headphones sound beautiful, loud, and are TOUGH. They have been pulled loose from my ears more times than I can remember, usually when I'm in a crowded train and the cord gets caught in somebody's backpack or such. After all that they still work and sound good. When you actually handle the headphones and realize the material and workmanship that went into it you would know why it costs what it costs.

  2. These B&O headphones work really well without acting like earmuffs. The surprisingly simple--yet elegant--design keeps one cool, stays in place, and provides excellent sound quality. This is a clever, well-made set of headphones.

  3. I tried several pairs of earphones and earbuds before deciding to spend the extra money on this pair. I wish I had just bought these first instead of trying to find a less expensive pair. You get what you pay for.
Although not an audiophile, and comfort being my first priority, the sound is exceptional. Clear, crisp, full range.
The design of the headphone allows them to be easily adjusted. Previous reviews had evidenced this as a problem, but to me it was a very simple adjustment. The headphone joints 2 ways, over the ear adjustment and then the sound bud joints into the ear canal. It is very comfortable and stays in place perfectly while working out. Those of you looking for a good set for workouts, this is it. They also have some real substance to them, not heavy, just sturdy and well built. I expect they will last a long time. I use them 4 days a week to run and have had no problems. Hope this helps.

  4. Just a note to anyone buying a pair of A8's, there are many fake pairs of these headphones on Amazon being sold as geuines. Any pairs for under $100 should be avoided!!! Research your seller!

  5. I bought Bose...hated those. SHure....could not keep them in my ears and I FINALLY found my way home when I bought these. These are the "Rolls Royce" of headphones. I can run for miles with incredible sound and pure comfort. These are the BEST! I cannot say enough. The only downside...the price, BUT worth every penny.

5 comments about Kinamax WCM-NV13 6-LED Infrared Night-Vision 1.3 MP USB 2.0 Webcam with Audio Microphone.
  1. This webcam is great for a price under $20.00. Unlike my built in webcam this thing works fine in the dark. Keep in mind the fact that in the dark you will appear to be black and white but more like shades of green. Yes this webcam is adjusted manually. Adjusting the webcam is easy and takes all of a minute. just grab it and twist. I have a built in webcam but it doesn't work once the lights go out. This webcam doesn't care if it is pitch black it will see you, and the transition from lights on to lights off is flawless. When the lights are on the webcam is in color. It only switches the color once the lights go out because of the infrared night-vision element.

  2. I was scrolling through amazon and thought about getting a webcam. I chose this webcam not only because of the price but because of all it offered(night vision and microphone). I have used it only a few times but it seems cool to me. I am still learning and trying to figure out all the features but I think it is a good webcam. Some may say the picture is not all that great but it is good for me. To me webcams pictures are not going to be all that spectacular anyway. Well all in all I think that I got my money worth and I recommend it to anyone.

  3. For a price this low I was skeptical on the quality before buying but after reading M. Walker "Computer Geek"s review I decided to give it a try. So far I'm satisfied with the performance, especially the dark - IR reception. My top of the line laptop webcam cannot do it yet.

The two things I didn't like:
    1. The CD for the driver was empty, I had to download it from their website.
    2. Image stream can be slow at times especially in the IR mode.

Given that this is dirt cheap for a webcam, I recommend this product highly.

  4. I purchased this to use for video conferencing and was greatly disappointed when the color of everyone's hair was neon blue. Not only was the image distorted, the microphone decided to quit working two days later. I knew that I wasn't going to be getting the greatest webcam because of the price but I thought at least it would function for more than 48 hours.

  5. Well, it works. If you're going to use it on a Mac with OS X, by the way, download macam, USB webcam support for OS X, from sourceforge. The infrared LEDs work (though it's a bit tricky to figure out at which lighting level they do), and so does the camera. When it gets brighter out, they either switch off, or the camera itself starts looking for regular light and not just infrared. Something like that.

But in any event, it's a pretty cheap camera, so don't expect miraculous picture quality. Yes, it works, and it does night-vision infrared type stuff. Microphone is just as crappy as the picture quality, but it works.

5 comments about Ultimate Ears IP-P4SSA0001-02 Super.fi 4 Mobile Earphones.
  1. Replaced high-end Shure E3 for these as wanted to block external noise mainly during long flights...not only do these earphones block external noise but the tonal quality, bass-treble-loudness, is so very realistic that I am surprised to hear sounds which were previously not there and the Shure phones were actually very good and high-end. Total satisfaction with these.

  2. Unhappy with the fit and sound of my stock IPOD earbuds, I looked extensively for a replacement. Without checking any reviews, I bought a pair of $30 Sony earbuds... what a mistake. Pure garbage. I can't believe they put their name on them. I used them for no more than 20 sec and returned them to Circuit City the next day.

So I searched online and narrowed it down to the Ultimate Ears brand. All great reviews. I settled on these and boy I am happy.

    Pros:

    -Excellent, crisp, non-tingy sound.
    -Isolates sound
-Exquisite detail in songs that you've never heard before
-Cool look; they are much smaller than their other models; do stick out of your ear; The other models make you look like Frankenstein, very odd look to them
-Go in your ear and the wire does not go over the ear, an important point if you wear sunglasses or eyeglasses when wearing them.
-Wire does not feel flimsy, sturdy construction
-Not nearly as expensive as their other models
-Comes with several different sized earpieces

    Cons:

-Made in China (what else is new)
-Cheap plastic protective carry case that is guaranteed to break... their other models come with really snazzy metal cases

    Tips:

-When you buy these, make sure you try ALL sizes of the rubber earpieces. Tight fit is essential, as an incorrect fit will leak sound and it sounds bad.
-If you use these outdoors, be VERY alert, They are so good at blocking outside noises, that you might not hear traffic until it is right on top of you. They do what they are supposed to do and isolate the music.
-Try to keep you ears clean ans wax will build up on the rubber earpieces. They give you a tool to clean, but I never used it.
-For cleaning, use a sink with some kind of stopper or fill a bowl with soapy water (so you don't lose them), put the earpieces in you hand with some liquid hand soap or mild dishwashing detergent, rub them in you hand with the soap for 20-30 sec, This will remove and wax, dirt, or dust. Use a q-tip for the inside. Let dry for 15 min or so.

  3. My 4's sound fantastic (as good as my Sennheiser HD 280 pros, go see the CNET review), block out noise as well as "foamies", (the squishy, yellow foam ear plugs) and are very comfortable.

My first set had a problem with one of the drivers. Within a week Tarah had a brand new set on my doorstep (Thanks, Tarah!). So, on the outside chance yours aren't perfect, they'll fix it fast.

Some have said the cord is too short, but I can put my Zen in my front pocket and still have enough slack to be comfortable.

Bass addicts should look elsewhere. These give an accurate, flat response.

    Get the UE Super.fi 4's!

  4. I gave these headphones a good week's worth of use and the right earphone began cutting in and out. Minor movements of my head or the cord would cause the sound to either work or not work. The left earphone had no issue.

The sound, when working, was good. The bass was a bit weak, but with a bit of EQ was fine. It's probably more flat than weak, but I tend to like a bit of extra bass in my music.

I'm returning them for a refund and will try another brand. I'm disappointed because I heard good things about these. It could just be a bad pair, but I'm not interested in "testing" other pairs out.

  5. awesome mids and highs.

Absolutely no bass. I'm nearing 40 years of age, i dont want a pair of bass heavy techno earphones, but these are not even close to being balanced.

I have been through 15 sets of headphones, i have spent $25-$250 and have come to a few conclusions. Most people that review on this site have no freaking clue about sound quality. Their only experience comes from the ipod headphones, therefore the super fi 4's must be the best. Try out some Ultimate ears 5 pro's, or the m-audio ie-30's then you will understand what earphones should sound like.

Sure your going to have to spend $50 - $75 more, but you will get 200% better / realistic sounding earphones.

5 comments about Sony ICFC1iPMK2 Speaker Dock and Clock Radio with iPod Dock (White).
  1. If you intend to use this with your iphone, forget it! This unit produces random buzzing throughout the night. Support has been useless and there is no solution for this issue. This clearly is an engineering flaw because there is inadequate shielding around the speaker and amp. I would have thought Sony would have tested this unit before shipping it..

  2. Seeing as one of the reviewers posted for all the items (always frustrating since its misinformative), I'll enter a fair review on the MK2 version of this Sony clock.

As a previous owner of 2 of the original Sony iphone clock radios and a current owner of the identical looking upgraded versions, I can say that the original (and one thats on big sale on amazon) will have interference with your iphone. It will also tell you upon docking your iphone, that the iphone isnt compatible with teh device. So hello, wake up and realize that sony released a new shielded version (THIS version, teh ICFC1iPMK2) specifically for the iphone. When you dock your iphone on the right version, you dont get an incompatibility error.

You also get none of the GSM buzz found on the previous model.

As for sound, this isnt my klipsche sound dock, but it does a good job. I keep one wherever I may need time, music and ipod charging. As someone who lives next to their cell phone, I love that in the evening I have one less thing on the nightstand when charging my phone. Iphone's been handy charging in my 2 cars, both factory ipod capable too. I'm down with the Iphone :)

The clock is where this unit shines. If you've had a sony dreammachine clock since you were 4 years old, you will appreciate the dual alarms, easy to reach snoozes, easy to set clock and alarm selection. The sound is more than enough for a bed room, although thats only my opinion. If you want a full blown knock your socks off stereo, these shelf units arent going to cut it anyway.

So, this model... 100% Iphone safe. In fact, its the exact model previous except with shielded speakers and iphone recognized approval programmed in. If you buy the cheaper, on-sale model, you'll know you have the wrong one the moment you dock and your iphone warns you!

  3. This speaker alarm clock is awesome and is appealing to the eye as well! The sound is great, I use it in my room and the sound is pretty loud, more than sufficient. Also, it is compatible with the iPhone, and you dont have to put the iphone on airplane mode, so you can receive phone calls while your music is playing. It also has a radio, which is nice, and the remote makes scrolling through your music library easy from across the room.

  4. After getting my iPhone 3G, I knew I had to get a "night time dock" so I could keep my iphone in a safe place during the night.

I've been known to wake up and step on my old motorola razr, and I definitely didn't want that happening with my iphone 3G :)

After reading through reviews on ilounge and macrumors, I finally decided on this unit. It was actually the review by R Allison that made me take the plunge.

    PROS:

I was worried about the unit being compatible with my iphone 3g, and then I was worried about the buzzing sound that other people had experienced.

I decided to go ahead and try it, knowing that Amazon has a great return policy.

I can safely say the unit works as described. I just docked my iphone 3G (white) and it was ready to roll. I've used it for a little over a week now and I haven't heard any buzzing, there were no device errors, it just "works".

I like that my iPhone 3G can charge at night and that I can wake up to any track that I want.

    CONS:

I only gave it 4 stars as a product because the are only 3 things that would make it perfect:

    1) The ability to have the alarm "fade in" instead of blaring the track at the volume you set. Even though it's not an advertised feature, it is something that would have made the product better. My wife has a Bose Wave Radio and it's nice to be able to be "gently" woken up by your favorite track and have it slowly rouse you out of your sleep. A work around is easy enough. I can just create a track of my favorite music and create my own fade in with editing software.

    2) The sound quality isn't "super duper". I mean, it's a clock radio, so it's not supposed to sound like your home theatre system, but it would be nice if it had a bit deeper base or was a bit more adjustable.

    3) The display is way too bright. It has 3 "dimmer" levels and even on the lowest level, it illuminates the whole room. I've actually turned the unit around sideways (to face the opposite wall) to make it seem less bright. It would have been better to make the display light up by a button so if you need to see it at night, you could turn it on (like those indiglo watches). Or have an auto dimmer for night time to keep it not lit at all.

Overall though, for the price and for the functions it has, it was well worth the purchase and I'd recommend it easily to any other iphone 3g owners. You can see pictures of my unit (I bought the white Sony unit) in the gallery for this product :)

  5. Last year I bought the previous version of this clock radio (the ICF-C1IP) and was extremely impressed, especially compared to many other iPod clock radios that I tried. This week I bought this updated version for another room, and was pleasantly surprised.

What I've noticed in this updated version:
    - explicitly iPhone compatible ("works with iPhone" indicated on the box)
    - AM radio reception is notably clearer (and the old one wasn't bad)
    - the display is brighter and easier to read (it might, in fact, be a little too bright at the lowest dim level)
    - sound quality just slightly less bass than earlier version (subtle - probably because of magnetic shielding for iPhone)

How do you tell which version you're buying, aside from the model number? Look for the "MK2" in the product name, as well as the "Works with iPhone" on the box.

Like the previous version, the Sony is fully compatible with my iPod Classic, and the sound quality and radio performance is notably better than other iPod clock radios I've tested.

Sony has done a great job with the ICF-C1iPMK2. It is an upright design, with most of the unit behind the iPod, in a slanted design with controls at the top. The iPod dock accepts universal adapters, but they aren't really needed as Sony has an adjustable supporting plate behind the iPod.

Unlike other iPod clock radios, the Sony does not attempt to duplicate the iPod menus on its display. Instead, the Sony includes a remote control that lets you completely control the iPod menus as if you were manipulating the scroll wheel. Quite impressive.

Sound quality is very good for a clock radio - with crisp highs and even midtones. You may want to play around with your iPod equalizer settings to see what sounds best. (To my ears, "Jazz" EQ setting works well with these small speakers.) Sony includes a simulated mode they call "Mega XPand" that in my experience made the music sound muddied and under-sampled. Your mileage my vary.

The blue-backlit clock is located in the iPod dock area, and 3 brightness levels are available. In my experience, even the lowest setting is a bit too bright, but not enough to disturb me at night. I wish that the display were slightly larger, although the high contrast lets me see the time without my glasses from a reasonable distance.

And, unlike most iPod clock radios, the radio reception is outstanding - with an external AM antenna provided. The unit has dual alarms, which can be set to iPod (you can even select a wakeup volume), Radio, or Buzzer.

On the downside, the battery backup for the buzzer alarm and clock is a small expensive lithium battery (although after nearly a year of use, this battery was still working on my old model). And, if your relying on just the buzzer to wake you up it's not very loud. You also have to be careful when changing the alarms to make sure that you don't accidentally turn the alarm off. But all of these are minor issues. However, these are all very minor issues that don't detract from the unit overall.

All in all, in my experience, this is the best iPod clock radio you can buy.

  1. This cable does exactly what I needed it to do. I used it to connect my Canon HV30 to my MacBook Pro and then import footage into iMovie '08. No hassles whatsoever. The cord is plenty long enough and looks sturdy enough to hold up for as long as I'll ever need to use it.

5 comments about USB Bluetooth Dongle Adapter 10M.
  1. I was looking for the 100meter version but was told by someone at BB it doesn't matter because the client device (bluetooth headset) does not have the power to broadcast 100meters. So I looked around and decided on this one from Eforcity. Main reason is that I didn't want to deal with older versions of the bluetooth specs. I use this on my laptop to connect to my Moto bluetooth headset so that I can talk on skype wirelessly. Eforcity shipped quickly and packaged well. They use to sell the 100meter version but I'm told they only carry this 10meter version because its Bluetooth 2.0.
I can walk to the other end of the library and still carry converstation, about 50feet.

  2. Vista will not work with this. You can move files from your phone to your computer, but not the other way around whatsoever. Don't waste the money.

  3. I have a Samsung BEAT cell phone. For a week or so, I had been trying to figure out how to use it as a modem to connect my PC to the internet. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get it to work using the phone's data cable. I noticed that Dial Up Network is listed as a Bluetooth feature on this phone, so I decided to give that a shot.

I went to Best Buy and the only USB Bluetooth adapter in stock was $39.99. I checked Amazon and decided to try this instead, since my order would be under $10 including shipping. I ordered on 07/13/2008, and the package was in my PO Box on 07/17/2008. I picked it up at about 4pm, and my PC was on the new Bluetooth DUN internet connection by 5:30. The only difficulties I ran into were configuring the setup do dial the correct number (#99* for me), and directing my web browser to use the TMobile proxy server address (216.155.165.50 port: 8080). Note: with TMobile, you also have to have their data package on your acount for this to work.

Using this adapter with the included software, I am also able to transfer files between my phone and computer. Other features are supported, but I have not used them.

As for the item itself, it is pretty small, so just be careful not to lose it. This shouldn't be a problem for me, since it just stays plugged into the back of the computer.

Overall, it's one of the best tech buys I've made in a long time. I can't give less than 5 stars because the ordering, shipping, and product performance have been flawless to this point. I will update this if any issues come up.

  4. I run Fedora core 8 on my lenovo t60. This dongle works out of the box very well. I didn't have to hunt for drivers. Discovering devices works (this tests interoperability with other devices). File transfer at very reasonable speeds (350kb files in under 30-40 seconds). I am very satisfied with this product. Hence the 5-star rating to this dongle.

  5. My complaint is that when you install the bluesoleil software that comes with the disk, it is an unlicensed version and requires you to pay an additional 20 Ero to get it to work with a stero headset on Vista. Very disappointing. If your going to sell a product and have it come with software, the software should be fully licensed!

5 comments about Sennheiser PMX100 Supra-Aural Mini-Neckband Stereo Headphones.
  1. I went through two sets of Shure's, Beyerdynamics, Skullcandy - none of them fit - the Shure's and the Beyerdynamics sounded incredible - but they were not comfortable and I could not use them. These were a great deal (rebate), they sound wonderful and they are incredibly comfortable. I use them in the office, walking around downtown and I absolutely love them. I use them with a 20 GB IPOD. I listen to a very wide range of music - from old school rap to classical and opera and they are quite versatile. 100% satisfied - I am so glad I am done looking for headphones.

  2. These headphones have good quality sound. I use them for jogging and there's not too much to complain about there. They stay on well enough. My only complaint is that the band that goes behind the neck is not adjustable. Not a big deal in terms of function, but the band sticks out a bit in the back and looks a little goofy. All around pleased with the product, and would recommend it.

  3. You could say that I am an audiophile, and these cans are definitely an awesome bang-for-the-buck. It is a good 2ndary headphone to larger/bulkier/more expensive headphones. The sound is very natural and the bass is deep, but not overwelming. The highs are very clear and detailed. These sound good with a flat EQ setting

The only con I can think of is that the plastic/rubber clips can be a little uncomfortable to your ears if worn for a long period of time. Also, my sunglasses keep sliding off because those clips get in the way!

  4. I will be returning these. I love Sennheiser cans but NOT the PMX100s.

I own Sennheiser HD 595 and HD 280 Pro cans and a computer headset so I am disappointed in the PMX100 street style cans. It really doesn't matter how they sound when it hurts to wear them. I didn't really care about the looks when I bought them -but they do look silly. My 5 year old told me, "I like your new TIRE headphones, daddy" which was pretty darn funny since I already read the previous reviews. They DO look like tires on "carbon fiber" rims.

My very first pair of behind the head cans was the Philips HS500. Awesome sound for cheap cans. Mine still work great but after years of reliable service the foam speaker covers are finally disintegrating. I owned a couple different models of Philips street style and they don't hurt my ears because they ride like sunglasses -only sticking out on the back of your head instead of resting on your nose. This "reverse glasses" design is comfortable even after extended listening and while moving around. Unfortunately they fiddled and cooked up some "tab" design for the PMX100 and it is lousy.

The PMX100 is like a regular headphone band in that it doesn't rest over your ears like sunglasses -just like if you took the over the head band style and tipped it back 90 degrees. The speakers are attached to the frame on pivots so they are free floating. The floating speaker has a little thin plastic "knife" tab that extends out of the top near the front and is supposed to slip behind the tips of your ears and hold the weight of the cans on your head. OW. The weight is suspended differently and it pulls down and out on the tips of your ears making them stick out. The tabs move and rub the top of your ear near the front because they are attached to the free floating speakers -not the frame. The design also means that when the connecting bar in the back of your head sags or moves the entire rig pivots on the front top of your ear because the tabs hook around from the front. The combined movement of the tabs due to the floating speakers and from the pivot of the entire rig on your ear -HURTS! I called them knife tabs but the the movement is actually more like a SAW.

You also have to diddle with the tabs a bit when you put these on, they don't just slip on like reverse glasses. The reverse glasses design rests on top of your ears against your head which is more stable and stays put. I gave the slip-on "tab" design of the PMX100/200 a chance. Never again. OW. I'll just stick with the reverse sunglass design for now on so I'll try the PMX60s -and probably another brand because I don't think the PMX60 will sound as good as these even if they will be more comfortable.

  5. The PMX100 Supra-Aural headphones provide a great sound for the price and are very comfortable to wear. I read several reviews that complained about the wearing comfort before I bought these. I cannot confirm those reviews. I have worn the headphones for several hours w/o any pain or wearing discomfort. I guess it must be somehow related to the shape of the head. Since the neckband is not adjustable in size I would only recommend it for people with a fairly slender head.

For myself, I can only say that I am very happy with these headphones. Don't regret the purchase a bit!

1 comments about Universal USB Wall Charger for Apple Ipod Mp3 Shuffle Nano Video Touch Classic Iphone, Microsoft Zune 30gb 80gb 4gb 8gb, Sandisk Sansa.
  1. This was purchased for my son's Zune as he did not have a means to charge his Zune directly from the AC outlet. Although it does charge the zune as advertised, it's construction is questionable at best.

The metal strips (tangs) that plug into the wall socket have no strain relief on the interior of the white housing. After a couple of insertion/removal cycles into the AC outlets, one of the tangs pulled out of the housing rendering the device unusable. Upon inspection of the interior, it was observed that the rear of the tang was cold soldered to the wire that connected to the PCB. While I may be able to grind the surface of the tang to obtain a suitable surface on which I may re-solder the wire, I may just chose to wire a replacement AC cord directly to the PCB, preventing a repeat failure.

Good news is that the PCB is still functional even if the housing is not.

    Caveat Emptor

  1. This USB adaptor is a great product..It charge almost anything that used USB port charger,,,i just plug it to the any wall outlet and charge my Sansa and, Plantonic Bluetooth..i dont need to use my usb port in my computer anymore..Highly recommended !!!

  2. I ordered this unit at the same time I ordered my Sansa e250 MP3 player. I thought I wouldn't want my computer on for a long time. So far most of the battery recharging has been done on the computer. I did use the unit once and it worked fine. I liked that the USB cable is the same cable that came with my e250 MP3 player so I have two of them in case something happens to one of them. I think when away from home I will use the charger since I don't have a notebook computer. I don't have much to say about price because I have nothing to compare it to. Delivery was better than estimated by Amazon.

  3. Knowing I wouldn't have access to a PC during a recent trip, I loaded up my Sansa e280 with 25+ hours of music, but I needed someway to charge the player without a PC. I saw the Macally SN-A411 USB AC Charger for SanDisk Sansa MP3 Players on Amazon, and it was perfect for my needs. It's compact, I just hooked my Sansa up to the charger (using the cord that comes with it) and plugged it into a wall outlet and it charged my player quickly.

Works just as well as chargers priced much higher.

  4. I bought this to charge my Sansa Clip 2 GB players. The unit is smaller than it looks. The charger works perfectly as long as my Sansa Clip units are turned on while charging. The Macally charging cord that fits the Sansa Clip is quite short.

  5. Charger worked fine for about 6 months and then just died. Decided to try a Griffin charger to see if it would last any longer than this one.

  1. Great Accessory to have! I am really glad I invested in one of these. It brings life to my old controllers again.

  2. Mmm... it's an extension cable. I bought it, I un-wrap it, I plug it in, it worked!

    5 stars!

Life's meant to be this easy! (Wishful thinking)

  3. Nothing fancy but does the job well.
It's indispensible if you want to use the Gamecube controllers to play Super Mario Brawl on Wii with a big screen that requires you to sit further away from your screen and console.

  4. A simple solution if you don't have a wireless Wavebird. Plug it and it just works. Been using it for 6 months and don't have any issue yet. Great price. Unlike other peripheral cables that charge you an arm and a leg, accessories for this console are always mostly affordable.

  5. This seems to do its job pretty well. Its a good way to extend the length on the cable.
