1 comments about 6-Foot Gold-Plated HDMI Cable Male to Male 28AWG with Ferrite Core.
- I will state categorically without doubt that there is no difference between this "gold plated" HDMI cable and the ones you get at Best Buy etc. for $60. How they get away with such a transparent scam I don't know but you can buy the same cable to do the same job for under $10 and this one is excellent.

5 comments about JVC HAFX33B Marshmallow In-Ear Stereo Headphones (Black).
- If you aren't running or using these during any athletic activity, these aren't bad, but they get wet and slick with sweat moisture at which point you will be annoyed when they won't stay in your ears.
- I bought these to replace the buds that came with my Samsung MP3 player. The Samsung headphones sound good, but they became uncomfortable after wearing them for a while.
I would say the SQ with these were as good, if not better than the originals. I especially like the base. I like that they fit snuggly in my ears and are comfortable. My Son and I both like them (he got his Mom's), but my wife doesn't like the sound. My Son and I are both confused, we think they are great!
For the price - these are very, very, good!
- Though I agree that for running and such these may not be the best otherwise they serve pretty well. I do have a question though, does anyone know if it is possible to replace the marshmallow buds? They wear out and now I cannot find anywhere to replace them. If you cannot replace them then I would say these are pretty poor as the buds do wear out in time.
- I've never owned headphones/earbuds that cost more than $5 before! I was getting tired of having to replace broken buds all the time, so I figured that if I spent a bit more they might last longer. The wires and buds HAVE lasted longer than my other sets however the memory foam cushions wear out over time though and it doesn't look like you're going to find replacements in any brick and motor stores. One replacement cushion is $2.50 and shipping is $5, so you're going to spend $10 just to buy new cushions. This isn't worth it to me. I paid $10 for these in the first place, so why would I spend the same amount for replacement parts? This is wasteful, both financially and environmentally.
As far as everything else goes I'm not an audio snob so to me the sound quality is just fine. They really do cancel out a lot of noise and they are quite comfortable.
- I began my earbud search after my first use with the Ipod buds that fell out of my ears immediately, and in my opinion are cheap and not up to Apples abilities. Shame on Apple.
So, I then bought a pair of Koss...They sounded great, but the cord was uneven and not adjustable. When I asked about this, I was told they were designed to wear on one side...that bugged me a bit, as I like to be able to make that decision myself..in any event, those got returned...and then I tried a pair of Phillips...the buds fell out, or when they stayed in, hurt my ears.....then I bought a mid range pair of Sony's, and they also fell out of my baby ears..
Lastly, I saw these JVC's at Walmart, and liked how they matched my black Ipod..paid 19.99 for them...didn't know I could pick them up here for a few dollars less..oh well..
Meanwhile, here are the perks:
Nice comfy ear fit with 2 sizes to choose from. The foam has the ability to form to the inside of your ear without causing pain and without falling out during power walking. Like all earbuds they keep the outside noise at a minimum.
And now for the cons:
I'm no expert on sound, but these had me trying to adjust my Ipod equalizer just to get some contrast...I wasn't getting the highs and lows that I thought an inner ear bud would provide..the bass was a bit flat and muffled...Mick Jagger sounds good, but I've heard him sound better.
All in all, great price for a bud that will stay in your ear and will suffice until your next big paycheck when you can invest in a better sounding pair.
I felt generous and rated them 4 stars just for their efforts!
Now, add some chocolate with your Marshmallows and you have a S'more!
LOL

2 comments about Silicone Skin Case for iPod Touch, Black.
- I did not buy this item, but from the picture, it looks to me that there is no hole for the auto-brightness sensor for the iPod. You may not care, but for me this is important.
- Unlike the other person that reviewed - I DO OWN THIS SKIN. It's a very nice quality silicone skin and fits my 16 GB iPod Touch like a custom made glove - just like it should. Good price too!

3 comments about DURACELL AA24 PROCELL Professional Alkaline Battery (DURACELL AA24PROCELL).
- I've been using 2 of these batteries in my walkman for 10 hours now and they are still going very strong. It's living up to its reputation as described so far.
- I know of these kind of batteries because when I worked a telemetry floor as a nurse and ICU we used them on the patients' portable monitors. They last long and are great!
- These batteries are a very good choice for an inexpensive alkaline. Heavy duty batteries, are not cost effective because although cheaper, they have a very short run time. To get the best bang for your buck, go for alkalines like these.
The "Procell" designation is basically Duracell's way of marking these batteries as ones intended for industrial applications. They make them as a separate line so they won't directly compete with their consumer lines.
My experience is that these batteries do not last quite as long as the top consumer lines from Duracell and Energizer. However, they are within 10-20% (depending on the application), and are considerably cheaper. So, they are much more cost effective.
Unless you are using them in an application where it is difficult to change the batteries, I recommend going with these instead of spending more.

5 comments about E3works Vinyl CD-R 50-Disc Spindle, 50-Pack.
- I always get compliments when I hand these out. I have not had a burn error with these. Probably the black color reduces stray light from the laser "burning" / writing to the medium. I also use a black plextor 40X burner so this may add to the light reduction when burning. Great product!
- I was very disheartened when the first two disks out of the package failed to make it through a CD burning on Windows Media Player. I next tried to make a disk on Linux and it worked flawlessly... twice.
Batting 50/50 is not what I hoped for. I have yet to try the disks with other Windows-based programs. I will update as I gather more info.
- These cd are like small LP records, definitely look much better than regular blank CDs when you use for creating audio cd collection.
I like this product.
- Very attractive product, great value as these are MUCH less expensive than the Verbatim vinyl cd-r's.
- They came on time, brand new, and they work great! I love them! :)

3 comments about JBL On Stage IIIP Portable Speaker Dock for iPhone 1G and iPod (Black).
- I've owned older versions of the JBL On Stage line and this one has been the best experience yet. The sound produced from this model is great and gets loud enough without distortion to use in any environment. When you first dock an iPod or iPhone with it and begin playing, it starts out on a low volume setting so you have to turn it up each time you dock it but it keeps you from being blasted out like the older models did. I haven't bothered to use this one running on the 6 AA batteries since I've always been somewhere with AC power for it. I've only used this with the original iPhone. There are some changes Apple made to how the 3G iPhones charge that although they will play music through older devices, they'll display an error message when you first connect them. With the original iPhone this speaker worked perfectly, though.
- I've had previous versions of this product and find this one much improved.
- It does work with my iPhone 3G, including the charging.
- Improved sound quality.
- Battery powered (optional)
The only downgrade with respect to past versions is the remote control:
- Less intuitive buttons. Difficult to operate in the dark
- Dependent on Infrared, instead of the old RF. This means you need direct line of sight to the unit for it to work.
- This was a great little speaker system until...
I recently updated my iPhone 1st generation to software version 2.1, and this speaker system is no longer compatible. When I plug it in, it now asks me if I want to go into Airplane Mode, and does not charge the phone.
Recommended, as long as you don't update your iPhone software to the latest version!

2 comments about Light Blue Silicone Case/Skin/Protector/Cover for Apple 3rd Generation iPod Nano Video/Graphic, both Nano 4GB and Nano 8GB..
- If you're looking for a light blue silicone skin for your generation 3 nano, this one is as good as any. You can still use the track pad on the ipod so you'll never have to remove it from the case.
- The light blue silicon case looks cool, but it lacks the most essential part of the case, i.e., a screen cover. Who cares about scratches to the rest of the ipod?? I was a bit disappointed...obviously I did not read the description very well.

3 comments about HP 6 Ft Firewire Cable 6 Pin To 6 Pin.
- Obtaining Firewire cables locally would have been very expensive. These cables were excellent as to quality and proper shielding at less than half the local price.
- Needed a 6 pin to 6 pin cable. NONE available locally so ordered this. Came fast and worked great to move info from an old iMac to a new iMac.
- This cable was of high quality and it worked perfectly, right out of the box.
