5 comments about 4 to 6 pin Premium quality FireWire IEEE 1394 iLink Cable.
- I have no complaints about this product. It is inexpensive, it worked as advertised. The cable seems fairly sturdy although I haven't subjected it to any extreme tests. It was also shipped quickly, and with all things considered it was a good purchase.
- The cable has worked without any problems to transfer digital video from a MiniDV camera to a PC. It was a great value.
- I cringe everytime I go to a retail store and see what they charge for cables. I never buy cables at brick and mortar stores, only online, and mostly at Amazon.
Buy with confidence.
- This cable is great quality. It isn't stiff at all like another reviewer stated. It works perfectly with all of my devices -- external hard drive and DV Camcorder. I have no idea why someone would buy a more expensive cable when this one works great and is so cheap. Here, cheap does not mean low quality. This is the cable to buy if you're looking at other more expensive options. Use the money you save to take your girlfriend/wife out to get some ice cream :)
- Simple cable works good with my JVC mini DV camcorder. I bought it to put DV onto DVD and it works so I'm happy

5 comments about Acoustic Research PR362 Speaker Cable, Flat 16 AWG, (100 ft spool).
- We were redoing our family room and I wanted to take the opportunity to add rear surround speakers to our home theater system. As the underside of our floor was inaccessible, the easiest choice was to lay some flat wire under the new carpet pad.
This product worked perfectly for that purpose. It is flat enough to lay without leaving any impressions and the conductor is large enough to easily power the speakers. The price was right too, compared with competing products.
- This wire is perfect for running under carpet, if you're too lazy to get under your crawlspace, or you're on a slab. I've bought it before. Returning customer.
- Product description fails to mention that the spool of wire does come with a set of speaker pins. Actually, they are compression type and do not require any soldering/crimping. The wire is foolproof, neat and with any luck, fit exactly between the wall the carpet nail strips... :).
- ok i just bought this and I'm stoked! I'll update you when I install it.
i spent quite some time looking for speaker wires for my HOME THEATER SYSTEM and learning about AWG in the past few days so I thought I'd share.
i have an ONKYO HT-SR800 with speakers @8ohms, and my rears are <45 ft from the receiver, so I only need 16 AWG.
there's a useful chart here:
http://www.roger-russell.com/wire/wire.htm#introduction
hope it helps!
- I bought this for the color. It matches the color of my walls. I'm not running it under carpet. It's kind of an eggshell color instead of bright white.
I had no trouble stripping and cutting the wire. The sound is excellent. Mine didn't have a compression connection at the end. It was just straight wire.

2 comments about Apple iPod Touch Screen Protector High Quality.
-
I like the material and it surprised me, but I tried many times to put it at the exactly right position on my iPod touch. I always get one side out of the screen and the same next few try. Finally I got many spec between the protector and the screen.
I hope they can figure out a good way to instruct people using that layer.
I still think it's good, maybe it's just my own problem.
- the picture did not reflect what i actually received in the mail. I wanted the screen protector that covered the entire screen, but when i opened it, the screen protector just protected the mid-portion of the screen. WASTED MY MONEY!

5 comments about Griffin TuneFlex AUX w/Dock Connector for iPod.
- I got this package via UPS today to use in the vehicle I just purchased today. Not only did the unit get stuck in the power outlet of my car, but it caused a short which will not be covered under my vehicles warranty because it is faulty equipment that caused the short. Better off going to Radio Shack and buying a separate charger and stereo cable for about 2/3 the price. That's what I did, and I can actually reach my ipod instead of having to rely on the short arm this unit has
- I got this for Christmas (12/2007) and still love it. I have not had any of the problems others encountered... maybe it is their stereos and not the adapters? I have a 2007 Yukon Denali with a Bose stereo and absolutely love the sound quality provided with this adaptor.
- Just plug and play. I have it in our 2008 Toyota Sienna. However, when playing from my Nano(3G), I have to turn the volume up, much higher than the radio. Which I suppose is the reason I hear the squeal, and it is definitely noticeable when listening to podcasts. It doesn't matter what the volume is on the ipod.
I'm thinking of drilling a hole in the ipod cradle in order to directly plug the output into the Aux connection so that I can keep it charging and that should stop the squeal.
BTW, it doesn't squeal when I remove it from the charger and just use the aux cable.
- This product has been updated. Griffin has come out with the TuneFlex AUX 2 version. It is much better (see my review of it below)
TuneFlex AUX
-------------------
Plain and simple, don't bother with this product. It pales in comparison to the updated model. This model shifts around and isn't as clean looking as the new model. It also doesn't always charge my iPod Classic...which didn't charge properly for a lot of auto chargers (I tried about 5 different ones). Just skip this product and get the new version...it is worth the extra money. Read my review of the updated model below:
TuneFlex AUX 2 Review:
-------------------
This is a good product, probably the best auto charging dock available (I've tried quite a few). I own an iPod Classic 80GB (and iPhone 3G) and it charges and plays them just fine. The product arm itself is strong and doesn't move a bit. The holding dock itself (comes with a variety of docks for all your iPods) allows you to rotate it. This does move. It's stiff at first, but once you break it in it will start twisting a bit on a large iPod. Nano's probably won't budge at all. It's not horrible, it probably rotates about 10 degrees in either direction when I take turns. It usually goes back though, so it isn't the end of the world.
I will say the holders themselves, while there are many to choose from, really don't have much support for the product. There is no backing to them at all (except one which doesn't appear to fit my iPod classic, iPhone, or nano). No worries though, the iPod still manages to stay in place without a problem (and they ride in a Pontiac G8).
Overall, 4 out of 5 stars. If it was solid as a rock, I would give it 5...but it's pretty close. Again, if you own a Nano, this thing probably won't budge at all. The iPod Classic will rotate a little, but not much. If you don't want it to move at all, I suggest getting a Belkin TuneDok (goes in a cup holder) or a vent clip model.
- i was sent to this item by a griffin technology support tech because the new tuneflex aux would not fit my old style ipod and this older style would. what i got was another new style tuneflex aux. the item received was not the old style (as pictured), but another one exactly like the one i had already bought.

5 comments about MAXELL 50-Pack DVD+R Recordable DVD (16X).
- One of the most stable DVD+Rs I've found. Darn good price, too.
- I found this media on sale at a local store here..Buy one get one free for 24.99 50 DVD+r spindles..I thought..WOW what a great deal....WRONG!!!!
About 15 in each spindle ended up as coasters ( burn error) then pop another in..great burn...
It was at the point during the burn proccess, i litereally cross my fingers and hope i'd get a succesful burn...
please ignore the other two reviews.. go with memorex..tdk, sony..or best yet..VERBATIM...
This is my first review of any item..and becuase the product was so under-par and unreliable..in both my 50 spindles..I just had to say something
You are even better of buying store brand DVD+R... as i have had no problems with them... even in their 100 spindles (ie Office max, Staples and even khyber Media...
- These DVD+R's are as good as you can get. They work well with every type of burner. I use them for my Liteon 5005 DVD Recorder and also on my Dell computer with absolutely NO problems.
- This is the most reliable brand out there that I have come accross. Out of my last 50 disk spindle, NOT ONE was a dud. No burn errors at all. To the dude saying he gets a bunch of DVD burn
errors, that's something wrong with your setup. If you have a USB DVD burner make sure it is connected to a 2.0 USB and not a 1.0 port. That will cause a lot of burn errors.
- I haven't had any problems out of these. My computer has to format each DVD, which I think is pretty standard. I couldn't comment on the quality, as I am not a computer junkie, but hey, they do the job (of backing up or recording lots of data), which is all I need.

5 comments about Skullcandy G.I. Stereo Headphones - Rasta.
- i saw great reviews about these headphones, skullcandy gi...but the sound wasnt even as good as my 7 dollar headphones , plus they are uncomfortable , also ear pad broke right away. i would not recomend these...
- I decided i wanted a new pair of headphones that were better than the crappy ones that come with the iPhone so i decided to get these because they looked comfortable and like they had good sound. When I got them they were exactly as I thought they would be. They even come with an extra jack so i can plug it into my amp for my guitar. They are extremely comfy and have good sound. The one problem i encountered was that even the normal jack does not fit in the iPhone although it does in all other iPods. This did not really matter though, because I just got an adaptor so if you have an iPhone you can still get these. They also come with a travel case and black covers which is nice. If you look there is also a cool little surprise if you open up the velcro patch on the side. OVERALL GREAT PRODUCT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
- I recently bought and returned these headphones. They may look and feel great, but the sound quality is horrible. The left ear constantly buzzed, and they were not very loud. Do not buy unless they redesign these headphones.
- These are pretty good earphones...but the bass is not as pwerful as people said...i have used the skullcrushers with built in amplifier. The quality is good and the durability is excellent. THis was my second choice for skullcandy products. I bought it b/c of the fantastic price
- Other than the cool colors that the headphones have, It Sucks.
The cord is way to short, and at full volume they are still low sounding.
I got way better performance out of a $20.00 pair of Sony headphones.

- If you need a long connection, you can pay easily upwards of $30 in a local store, but why pay more to get a molded plug 50 ft CAT5e cable? Even with shipping, it still saves one a lot of money.

5 comments about SmartDisk Firelite Portable Hard Drive USB 2.0 250GB GO 5400 rpm/tpm.
- I have had this external hard drive for about two weeks now and I think it's superb--no problems whatsoever. I just plugged it into my MacBook and it works just fine. I love the size--it's so small, it can fit into your back pocket (without the cable). Very portable. Very light. The speed is excellent. Love it!
- This is a great little drive. I use it all the time and have never had a problem with it. I carry it around for fast and easy data storage. I love it so much that I'm going to pick up a couple more. You can NEVER have too much storage, especially if you're into digital photography.
- It is more compact than I was expecting (a good thing!). It was a cinch to install (much, much easier than other hard drive's I've owned). So far it has been VERY reliable and works very well with my iMac.
- 1. Bought it, plugged it in as described, light went solid blue - and NOTHING!
2. Called Customer Service after reading everything in their FAQ's.
3. YOU CANNOT LEAVE A MESSAGE even though they ask you to...
4. Left an email - they never returned the email question.
5. The obvious problem may be a POWER ISSUE - so if you want portability without a power plug, mac users - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
6. repeat last capped phrase: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
- I bought an 80 G Firelite drive over two years ago for a trip around the world and my excellent experience with it has spoiled my appreciation of other drives ever since. I've got several other external hard drives, but none work as effortlessly or are as easily portable as the Firelite. So recently I decided to get a new Firelite 250G, and I'm getting the same terrific results--plug into one USB port and voilá. I'm primarily a Mac user and have used these drives with several types of Mac without any problems (G4, G5, MacBook Pro, iMac), so I don't understand why several other reviewers have had trouble with them. I've also used mine with countless PCs in internet cafes around the world, with never a problem. It's ideal for traveling--pop into an internet cafe to download digital photos and movies to free up chips for new images, keep the laptop from getting overloaded with photos. Truly terrific, in my experience.

5 comments about Upbeat Audio T613-BMC Boostaroo 3 Channel Amplifier & Splitter.
- My Wife and I used this on a recent trip (flight and air port layover) as a splitter and amp to watch full length movies on our Zune 80 GB to pass the time. It worked great, case, switches, etc are very sturdy and well made. Small enough to pack and travel. Get one if you need to boost the volume or need to share.
- I bought a small DVD player for the car. Unfortunately you could not hear the movie with all the traffic noise. This little attachment works Great !!! Now we have 3 earphone with all the volume we need. Would recommend this item again and again for any audio enhancement. "Boosteroo" its true, great value for a small cost.
- Boostaroo amplifier and splitter works pretty much as advertised. Amplification is minimal probably about 2 X the volume. I'm using with mini speakers not headphones and this may not be the optimal product for this task.
- First Impression: Looked cool, seemed simple. That's about all that was good about it.
Actual Usage: It required batteries! I don't recall that being in the item description, though I may be wrong. After much hassle of trying to get the batteries to FIT in the compartment and closing it, I was eager to try it. Nothing. It didn't even split the sound. So I tried only one output. Finally, I heard something, but it sounded HORRIBLE. It sounded like my music was being replayed in a ghost movie. I don't even want to TALK about the sound BOOSTING properties, because turning that on gave me nightmares. What ticks me off so much is that you can't use it at ALL without the battery, not even just to split sound without amplifying it. For all I cared, I couldn't even use it as a 6 inch audio cable extension! A waste of time.
Overall: I believe it is pretty self explanatory that, at least, from my experience with the product, anyone who is self-respectful should avoid it. It may have worked for some people, but it certainly did not for me.
- I have a drawer full of sub one hundred dollar headphones. My newest. Grado SR60s. Pure clean sound for seventy bucks. But could be louder.
I researched headphone amps, I wanted the Grado amp, but I think my wife would kill me.
So after reading the reviews on this Boostaroo. I figured I go to Radio Shack this evening and pick one up.
I've only tried it with my Grados and a cheap pair of Sennheiser 201s.
It worked as promised. The volume of both set of cans was boosted. The Grados sound good, the sennheisers have some distortion. But what do you expect from Twenty dollar headphones.
I'll try it with my AKGs, upmarket Sennheisers, the Koss and the various other cans in the forty to one hunderd dollars range in my desk drawer, and let you know how they are.
