5 comments about Multi-use Stereo Microphone.
- I don't understand the positive reviews for this product. It didn't even work as well as the built-in microphone that came with my Olympus pocket digital recorder.
- Purchased this microphone for recording lectures at the university. It works flawlessly and has good sensitivity.
- I bought this item to use with my 5G iPod and Griffin's iTalk Pro. It works perfectly and the quality of the sound is very clear with no hiss or clicks. I like the clothes pin style clip and the mic swivels to any direction for any suitable position. Highly recomend this product for your voice or music recordings.

- Pros:
Inexpensive, records in stereo (quite well), lapel clip is very strong, and the mic swivels, so you can adjust it accordingly.
Cons:
The frequency is a little high, so some recordings may come out a little tinny sounding because there's little to no low-range on this mic. For the price, you can't really expect much. Also, I wish the wire was a little longer. It's pretty short, so you either need your source in your shirt pocket, or less than 2 feet from the mic. Also, it would be nice if they made this mic in black. Unless you're wearing a white shirt, it really stands out. These are all petty complaints, because the mic really does work quite well for the price, but there are a couple of drawbacks.
- I bought this mic on the strength of the many good reviews, and I certainly wasn't disappointed! The mic's sensitivity is absolutely amazing. It gives me the same recording level without MIC BOOST as any of my other mics with the MIC BOOST. That's like getting a +20dB gain without any increase in the noise. Beautiful! I haven't actually listened to the recordings through good headphones yet, so I can't comment on the quality of the sound, but even with some run-of-the-mill earbuds I can hear a clear improvement over my other lapel mic (Radio Shack). The highs are definitely crisper, and the whole sound is fuller. It's heartening to know SOME things are still built right in this day and age.

5 comments about Wii Monster Cable GameLink Component Video and Stereo Audio A/V Kit.
- I had to write a review on this product because i myself was very skeptical when i bought these cables. One because i have bought things from Amazon, that had great customer reviews and then i found that the product was in fact, not so great.
I have a 50 inch Samsung 1080p plasma, and they do make a huge difference. I first tried it out on "Smash Brothers Brawl" and right away when i started playing the characters looked way more detailed. Granted still not in HD. Still, I was running these games on the standard composite cables that come with the system. I'm not sure if the actual "Monster" cables make a difference to due the fact that i have no other cables to compare to, but i can tell you that these cables will with out a doubt make your wii games much much more clear. The end.
- Lets face it, why spend good money on equipment just to link it with a bunch of cheap junky cables. At this price you cant afford NOT to use the best. Many people say Monster is over rated but I believe they couldnt tell the difference between a maserati and a pinto. Just buy em and be happy just like me.
- First of all, this is the first component cable I've used for my Wii so I cannot compare Monster to the cheaper cables out there. However, I've read a lot of reviews regarding video defects with cheaper cables because the shielding and quality are not up to par (if the cables are shielded at all). It all comes down to, "you get what you pay for."
I went straight to Monster because of the quality of the product. Are there $30 or $20 cables out there that perform just as well? I'm sure that you can find a product that comes close, but I didn't want to experiment just to save a few bucks.
I have a 46 inch LCD TV. The bigger the screen, the more obvious the defects will be. I LOVE the quality of the picture that the Monster cables deliver. It is noticeably better than the composite cable, and I would bet that Monster is better than almost all the other component options out there.
If you are looking to save a few bucks, then keep shopping. If you are financially able to drop the dough, and you don't care about costs, spend the extra $10 to $20 and buy Monster cables. You'll never be disappointed.
- I actually found them cheaper at Target after buying them from Amazon, but they work fine.
- Though it only jumps from 480i to 480p, this makes a big difference in game clarity. I love sports games for the Wii and Tiger Woods 09 as well as NCAA Football 09 are much clearer with this cable. Also, I ordered this item on a Monday morning and had received it by Tuesday with standard shipping. I was very impressed and satisfied. I would highly recommend seller!

5 comments about Sony MDRG54LP Street Style Headphone.
- I've had this headphones for about 3-4 years and I love them. Unlike the other behind the neck ones Sony made with circular earpieces, these ones don't hurt my ear no matter how long I have them on and fit comfortably.
I can't say much about the sound quality other than the fact that it sounds good for what you pay for.
- I just received these headphones a couple of days ago, and based on some of the more negative reviews I wanted to see how comfortable they are for a whole day before commenting.
Well, I guess I can say that I can get used to these no problem. There is a slight discomfort after a day (I use them at work at my desk, typical cubicle nation usage), but I had the same with my MDR-Q33's (clip around the ear) for the first couple of days as well. A couple of weeks into using them every day I couldn't even tell anymore that I had them on. I loved my old Q33's and would have bought another pair if I could still find them anywhere. The old Q33's have a metal jacket around the earphone wires, and my right ear is getting shocked every so often now from a short when plugged in. The newer Sony versions of this style have much thinner pieces going behind the ear now, so I decided to give the street style a try.
The sound - I have to say that they sound great for me. I compared them to the old Q33, and these sound defintely more crisp (highs) and defined (base). I can see though that for other folks there might be an issue sound-wise depending on ear size and head size (I have a relatively small head and very small ears) and how close you get the actual speakers to your ears. The bars are resting on top of my ears, with the connecting piece just hanging in mid air behind my head, which seems fine. All in all I am very happy with this purchase and would defintely recommend anybody to try them out.
- Bought this pair of headphones about 6 months back. The headphones are good but not perfect. They look good and the sound quality is good too for such a low price. I use the headphones rough and are normally stored in the front pocket of my backpack. They lasted long (none of my prev. headphones lasted more than 2-3 months) and I'm still using them.
I wear spectacles and at first they were a little uncomfortable around my ears but now I got used to them. One major irritant is the v-shaped frame. It doesn't sit properly at the back of the head and frequently touches the collar of my shirt. I have to readjust them every time the frame falls down between my neck and the shirt collar.
Overall, 4/5 . Good sound, nice looking, durable but with few drawbacks.
- These headphones have good sound quality. They fit comfortably behind the head. They have a lot less pressure than the over the head type headphones. The neckband does not get in the way of eyeglasses, but it does push glasses into your head. After using them for a while, the become very uncomfortable if wearing glasses. Probably best for people who don't use glasses.
- I've gone through so many headphones, particularly ones that I keep in my gym bag, for workouts, dozens and dozens... until I found these. I just, after about three years, destroyed the set I had-- the wire dangled outside my rear car door and got ripped as I drove the car. It took that much abuse to do an iota of damage to them. Even then, only the cord was torn. These are incredibly sturdy and the sound is superb. The cord is pretty special too. It's a different kind of material, so it's less likely to kink or get tangled. I'm writing this review because I'm thrilled to find they're still available. I'm buying three more. An extra backup and one for my better half.

5 comments about Keyspan TVI-200C TuneView for iPod classic 4G, 5G (Black).
- Four stars because it's the only products of its type. If it had competition it could be rated lower.
I have received two units. Neither without issues, Amazon has requested both be returned for a full refund and no replacement. They have subsequently (as of yesterday) removed the product from thier stock, although you can still order from other merchants on Amazon.
First the good stuff - This device does what you want - it shows the the songs on your ipod on a remote from a large distance and through walls. You can control volume, mute, song selection, view by albums, artists, etc. Additionally, it will display videos on your tv and charge your ipod. There's nothing on the market that does this via a remote control with a screen. Changing the iPod almost instantly reflects the updated ipod content on the remote. At a party recently, I continued to hear: "my ipod has better music", or "you got to hear this song" (and since this is an ipod and not a zune theres no music sharing) we had to swap ipods on the dock. This was a hit with the guests and worked great.
Now the bad -
Major:
1st and 2nd Unit: Remote makes buzzing noises, which is more annoying that anythin else. Although the long-term impact of what's causing the noise is unknown.
1st and @nd Unit: For the price, constriction is not great. Seams between top and bottom half of remote have a gap of a coupl mm (albeit it sounds minimal, it looks cheap).
2nd Unit: Buttons on the remote would not depress properly. They were extremly flimsy in construction. The first unit did not have this issue. You have to dig in the button to try and get a response.
1st Unit: This could not be tested on 2nd unit since I didn't use it because of the buttons. Unit would freeze up, get stuck and return, delay processing, menus become random (shuffling the display instead of the songs ;)), selecting a song actually plays the sog aove your selection, and loss of sync. Resetting the unit, unplugging power corrects the issue. Although the why is not definite, heavy use is likely. If you play a playlist all night the unit works flawlessly; if you're jumping around all night then it'll happen rather frequently - every 1.5-2 hours.
Minor stuff - this is stuff that you expect in any 1.0 product as issues that will get corrected with feedback (like this):
1: Navigating large libraries is tough (I have 2000 songs on this ipod). Playlists are almost a requirement. The designers thought about this (it wasn't ignored on thier part) since they include a few shortcuts using the wizard button: first letter, start, middle and end of list. It's a good start but some additional help is needed. I can't imagine trying to navigate 20K songs - especially with the popular letters.
2: The display is not what you have on the ipod since it is text based, but good enough. There are some quirks that one remembers when traveling through the menus - but not enough to detract from the product.
Overall, as this is the product of its kind, I say "Buy It." Once some others enter the market, it's going to have to work on these issues to stay in the game.
The polish not including the previously mentioned issues (this is for Keysoan or competitor: Exact ipod interface (making it a natural extension of teh iPod), with or without images, ratings capability, lyrics (this would be so Karaoke cool).
- This product outperforms anything I've seen or tried on the market. It works with my new iPod Classic 160, my wife's iPod Video 80, and an old iPod 60 we had laying around. The remote feature is the coolest. Having the menus on the remote proves invaluable in large rooms or in controlling the iPod in a different room while entertaining. My wife frequently uses it from the kitchen. As far as video performance, make sure that you get as high of a quality video on the iPod as it will allow (around 1500 avg for my classic) otherwise things can get a bit grainy on a TV. Actually that's an iPod issue not a Keyspan issue. For music in a large or different room, this is the ticket!
- This remote/dock is awesome! The one thing I wished with my old dock was that I could view/change music without going to the dock. Presto! The Keyspan TVI-200C does it...and very well. The sound is perfect, it was easy to set up, I love it! If I had to give it one critique, it would be there is no on/off switch on the dock. You can put it in sleep mode via the remote, but I would like to turn it off like my old dock. But that is the only downside...and it is not even a minor thing, just something I need to get used to. You can view/select just like on your iPod..by artist, genre, album, and song. You can also hook it up to your TV for video (via S-Video)and pictures. If you are thinking about it, buy this dock/remote! At this time (05/21/08) it did not come with a adapter for Nano 3rd Gen, but I just went to the Apple Store and bought one for a couple bucks.
- I bought this product for my boat. The idea was to jack into the AUX of my boat's car stereo, have TuneView Dock plug into that, and remotely control the iPod out on the deck via the TuneView remote.
Initially it seemed to work fine. I even updated the firmware without a hitch. However, near the middle of the boating season for me (May-September), I noticed that the batteries housed in the unit (2 AA) started to rattle around, and if I shook it, they'd easily lose their connection, and the remote would go black.
I opened the battery door and looked a little closer. It appears that the actual housing for the AA batteries is physically larger than it should be, and and the battery terminals have the sole purpose of holding the batteries in place - and thus keeping the power source in tact. This is a pretty serious design flaw. What ends up happening is that over time, those slim metal terminals bend (its not like they are spring-loaded), and eventually the two AA batteries just jostle around in there and its up to the alignment of the moon and stars whether you end up getting power. I tried bending the terminals forward. This is a hack, and did not work in the end...as one of them just broke.
Here's my other issue with the unit: about a month after I had it, a black horizontal line showed up on the LCD and would not go away.
Now, here's my big issue with the company: Keyspan was purchased by Tripp Lite recently (2008). I bought the unit summer 2007. I *should* have contacted Keyspan immediately when I started to have issues...but I did not, and this is my fault.
I contacted Tripp Lite support and I was told that I could ship the unit to them at my expense, and if they thought I had dropped it, then they would simply return it to me. I explained that I felt the battery terminal issue was a design flaw, and I failed to see how that could ever be the result of dropping the unit, and they told me that "Past experience has shown us the bent battery terminals is sometimes a tale (sic) tale sign of the unit being dropped."
Given that, and the fact that I was 2 months past the 1 yr warranty, I did not ship it back. They indicated that if it was not in the 1 yr period, they were not liable to do anything anyway. I can understand that, and it is my fault for not taking more timely action, but still...I paid $170 USD for this thing, and now it is pretty much worthless.
One end of the battery terminals is a removable piece that I can probably re-inforce. The other side is soldered to the PCB, so I have fewer options there.
I felt compelled to post my experience here so others would be warned. I really feel the customer service at Tripp Lite could have taken the high-road here, but they chose not to. Your mileage may vary.
- I love this remote when it works. It synchs automatically and makes my life easier.
But buyer beware. I know two others (besides myself) that have this device, and one can't use it anymore after he dropped it on the floor, and the other has had to piece his back together.
Mine stopped working altogether.

5 comments about Panasonic RP-HT227 Monitor Headphones with XBS® Extra Bass System.
- They are known to short-out over time, well over a long long time; talking at least 6 months to a year. (You can tell if yours is shorting out if you turn the volume control knob up and down.) I think if people hear a lot of noise, they tend to believe it's already a piece of junk. All you have to do is adjust it, so you can hear full sound on both sides. That's why they're only about 10-12 bucks anyway. If you want longer lasting headphones, just try to take good care of them or simply look into another brand.
For the new Panasonic RP-HT227s, the sound these babies put out is astonishing.. that's if you have a good enough MP3 player or CD player. If these headphones sound bad then obviously it may have something to do with your MP3 sound quality or what kind of player you got. The bass is superb for casual listening, great audio clarity and design too!
Update 1: I typed up this review March of 2006, and now it's near the end of July. As of today, they are STILL working great!
Update 2: It is now 12/18/07 (yes, you read that right.. 2007!) and I've been missing these headphones for a long time now (they ended up breaking). I couldn't find the RP-HT227 models ANY WHERE in the stores for some reason, so a few weeks ago, I decided to purchase them again on Amazon. The UPS truck knocked on my door, and to my surprise they arrived in today. I can now *hear* why I missed these headphones so much. :'-)
- I bought these almost two years ago and have just noticed that one ear is starting to short out(Is that the right term to use when you are talking about the volumes on either ear being different?) I mostly use them when I'm trying to fall asleep.
The cord has been stepped on(Sometimes resulting in the headphones being yanked off my head to crash onto the merciless concrete) and headphones have been dropped on countless occasions. So far the only damage it received is the internal wires being pulled causing one of the ears to short out. I'm usually a lot more careful with my belongings, so it probably would have lasted longer.
The cord was the right enough length for me, could be a bit shorter; it would always get caught on my knee which would cause the headphones to be pulled off. The only discomfort I've had with the headphones is after prolonged usage my ears would hurt from the pressure. For those with long hair - if you put it around your neck, be careful when you remove them; I've had strands of hair ripped out.
As far as sound goes(I'm no audiophile), I think they're good; they block out noises decently enough. The inline volume control is a godsend since I don't want to look at the bright screen of my MP3 player at night. The folding design is nice, though the cord won't stay wrapped around it(Still have yet to buy one of those cord wraps).
Aaand that's about all I can think of saying today.
- These headphones have done so well for me that I have ordered several to give as presents. They sound really good, have good bass, and the have a strong volume level. They are also comfortable. The inline volume control really makes them a great value. The one negative is that they will not stand up very well to abuse - I have had an ear piece break off when they fell of the counter and hit the floor, and the chord will not stand up well to significant tugging away from the ear cups.
- Would absoultely reccomend for those that do alot of listening to their small boomoxes, CD players , walkmans, Sirius stillettos or S-50s and any other portable or regular home audio devices.
- I'd say go to Walmart and get a pair of similar headphones made by Sony instead, it's worth the extra $5-10. These look very cheap, the cord is very thin and looks like it could be broken easily.
The in-line volume control is nice, but mostly useless as the cord is only 9 feet long.
They are pretty comfortable and light-weight. The sound is acceptable, it gets decently loud as well. I can tolerate these and will keep them until they break, but next time I will pay a little more for much higher quality. Don't pay more than $15 for these.

3 comments about HDMI-M to DVI-M Cable, 25 FT / 7.6 M.
- Great price and works as advertised. We use this cable with our SONY Bravia 40 inch HDTV and it works fine. We have used it to go from the TV to the Comcast cable box as well as from our Mac mini computer to the TV. There is no need to pay ten times as much for other name brand cables. Shipping was fast and we were happy with the entire purchase experience.
- I used this to connect between my Samsung HDTV and iMac (need another mini-DVI to DVI connector at the back of the iMac to form a complete bridge). The resulting image on the HDTV screen is stunningly beautiful. Please note that the bridge I built does not seem to transfer Audio signal (most likely due to the mini-DVI to DVI converter transfers video only). So I connected another long audio cable from iMac to my A/V receiver. Now I can view and hear anything from the iMac on the 47 inch HDTV screen!
- I am using this cable to connect my Desktop (DVI-D output) to LCD TV.
Working fine without any issues.
Prompt delivery.
Will recommend.

- Not too much to say...good cable, good price, exactly as described. Shipping was good, too.
- This cable works fine but is not as shown in the picture. The pix shows gold plated plug ends of which I figured the price was not that steep considering. The cable works fine now and I hope it will continue to do so in years to come. Past experience with rca type audio connectors is the gold plated ones seem to retain their audio signal transfer a bit better later on down the road especially in damp/humid conditions..recommend the pix is corrected or supply the gold plated cable ends. Thanks Rhino
- This was a cheap and easy way to get my laptop music to my surround sound.
- Standard cables, do what they should. I wish the phono connector was smaller or at a 90 degree angle....but it wasn't falsely advertised.
- This item does exactly what it's supposed to do. I have mlb.tv and when I plugged it into my tv I had to listen to the sound through my computer. Not anymore. With this cable I just plug it into my surround sound and all audio now comes through the receiver instead of my weak laptop speakers.

5 comments about Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia Headphones (Pearl Pink).
- I bought these after trying a friend's, because the earphones that came with my iPod hurt my ears. These are really comfortable and stay in until I start to sweat. After about 30 min of cardio exercise, (running or elliptical) they begin falling out. I have to keep stopping, wiping my ears, wiping the little rubber thingy, and jamming them back in.
I've tried all 3 different earpieces that it comes with and this didn't alleviate the problem.
Bummer, because they are comfy. Also, sound is not as good as the iPod earphones. Bass is lacking. Ordering a new pair today that clips to the ear. Will see how they are.
- These headphones sound WORSE than the one's that came with my Ipod touch. There is no low frequency response. Turn the volume up and you have piercing high frequency only. I regret purchasing these headphones
- I love the headphones. Better sound quality. Nice look. Most of all, very easy on the ears.
- The sound quality and comfort are fine, but you can hear a loud thumping through the cord as it bounces on your body during a workout! Very odd. I have other headphones and have never had this problem before.
- They look good. they have the "One side is longer than the other" thing going on.
