3 comments about Belkin PureAV AV20300-12 12-Foot RCA Audio Cable.
  1. This is a nice audio cable. It gives the feeling of a quality product. I can't objectively judge or claim it's quality since i don't have proper tools, but the cable is thick (still it is flexible), looks solid and the connectors are very nicely done (and gold plated). I can't notice any noise that would be attributed to bad cables. The sound is crisp and clear (this cable runs from CD to receiver) so i am very pleased with the cable.

Isolation has sort of satin-like finish and looks better than "average" cable. Usually one hides these cables so not that important, but it does add to the overall quality feeling.

I would buy this cable again.

  2. I recommend this cable for the audio sound that I use on my music and the new PSP portable.

  3. Nice quality cable that delivered exactly what I was looking for.
Much better price point that the more expensive "HYPE" cables.

This will do the job and will do it well!

5 comments about SanDisk Sansa Base Station for Sansa c200 and e200 Series Players.
  1. As in the other reviews, controls are basic. First base station ordered the remote did not work. Sent back through amazon, second base received worked fine. Had to update software on Sansa player. Instruction OK fairly painless.

  2. This unit was wasy to install and easy to operate. I am very happy with my purchase.

  3. It's a docking station. Enough said. It looks pretty good - the whole Sansa line does. It connects easily to my receiver. It recharges the unit easily. If that is all you need, it's great. Hence 3 stars.

But, here are my faults with it. One, the stupid useless remote doesn't really do anything for you... plus it NEVER stays in the "remote holding slot" ...

Operationally, two things bug me that I feel should have been engineered in as an integrated product (it works pretty much like a "universal" dock):

    (1) The signal to the Receiver should be clean - not sent through internal sound/volume processing: (Is there an option?) For example, when I first turn it on, I have to remove it, manually turn up the volume on the unit, and replace it on the dock. It defaults to 50% volume on the unit, which forces you to turn the receiver to dangerously high levels (god forbid you forget to turn the receiver down before changing the source selector to 'Radio'!! Can you say blown speakers?) You cannot even adjust the volume with it ON the dock.. so again off...up..on! No matter what output source I use (stereo, computer, etc.) I am going to use ITS sound processing and volume controls! Stupid.

    (2) When it is ON the dock (i.e. NOT battery-powered) it should have an option to keep the display on if the unit is on (similar to Palm/Pocket PC). As a result, when I shut off the stereo, the Sansa is still on - and I don't realize... it basically goes into sleep mode as if on battery power. So, to change the song you have to push a button to awaken the unit, and again to change the song.

    And the remote is worthless....

In summary, it works, its good looking . but, nowhere near a flawless gem of a device.

  4. I am not sure why there would be no so good reviews about this product. I have had it for over a month now and it does exactly as was advertised and the price was excellent Looks good anywhere and works great.

  5. Got this as a birthday gift from Mom. The Remote does all you need it to. It comes with 2 stands~ 1 for the E-200 and one for the C-200. The extra stand makes an excellent remote caddy. Included is a headphone to red and white RCA plugs. The Sansa can charge all day. In all it is a great product and works great.

4 comments about Wireless USB 2.0 Dongle V2.
  1. So easy to use, just load the software for macintosh, adjust the settings,
then plug it in. And off you go into wireless land.
Great product and a great alternative to apple airport card.
    Wireless USB 2.0 Dongle V2

  2. I purchased a used Powermac G4 Tower. I didn't know until after the purchase just how small a pool there is for components for a Mac. I needed to get online with this Mac to update the systems hardware and software. Looking for components I found Airport this... proprietary that... and I was getting frustrated. Finally I took a chance on this Asus USB wireless dongle. It worked like a charm! I also used it on a few of my older Compaq Armada laptops that I use for my business. It was the best way to get on the net with these older comps and even easier than a direct ethernet connection to my wireless modem. I'm running all over the house with this thing to use it on different computers but it's worth it. I think I'll buy another. It is a thing that actually works and that says a lot.

  3. I bought this to use with an iMac located about 25 feet from a good quality access point. The installation was no problem and it worked at first, but afterwards only sporadically. I tried every trick I could think of to get it to work reliably. It would work for a while, but then quit. The range is exceptionally poor, barely getting a workable signal at 25'. A reboot would usually get it working again, but I finally gave up and threw the thing in the trash (I waited too long to return it).

The configuration tool is a standalone app, not integrated into the Mac network control panel. It actually caused my Mac to crash (freeze hard requiring a power cycle) on several occasions. As best I can recall, this Mac has never crashed before. There are no updates for firmware or software available from the manufacturer, and email tech support requests produced no useful results when answered at all.

  4. I got this for a mac that had a broken airport card and didn't want to spend a lot since the laptop was old. The software worked on mac, the product is great even the the swivel usb adaptor is really cool it lets you move the dongle out of the way. It connects easily. Upload and download speeds are very good I think faster then the original airport card was. Shipping was fast and free I love it.

5 comments about Apple USB Power Adapter for iPod (White).
  1. What can I say? It is just an iPod charger that should have come with the iPod to begin with. I got it on bargain price so there's no complaint. Don't pay Apple's full price just for the logo. There're a lot of others available and are equally good. I suggest you visit your local electronic store to see what's there. Only thing I like about it is that it is retractable so it doesn't punch holes in my bags when I carry it.

  2. Yes..Apple should have put this in the box. However that dosen't change the fact that the item works. It charges all ipods. It will charge first generation shuffles with out a cord. All other ipods need some sort of cord to connect to this USB adapter. Don't put your high priced ipod at risk. There is plenty of usb chargers out there and you could find a bunch for .99 on ebay right now but do you want to take a chance that number one it may not work and number two it may damage your ipod. Grit your teeth, do your home work and get an apple adapter. It is worth it in the long run.

  3. I find myself traveling a lot, and I hated killing my ipod shuffle's battery while doing so and ending up in silence for the last leg of my trips. I bought this and it has turned out to be a wonderful investment. I highly recommend buying this if you travel. My only fear is that its easy to forget this little thing; so maybe consider putting some bright colored duct tape on it so it will stand out in the hotel room. I hate to sound like a broken record, but I just want to say once more that this is ideal for travel. The prongs (for the electrical socket) fold into the device so it fits nicely in a purse, large jacket pocket, or suitcase.

  4. I paid less than this elsewhere but it's the same item. I use it to charge my iPod Touch and it hardly works. First off, you need to leave the iPod unlocked for it to work. Secondly, it won't give it a very good charge. If you let it go overnight, the battery meter will be full and then as soon as you disconnect it to use it, it very quickly drains down to 1/4, or sometimes less. Now I need to find something that actually works. Suggestions would be appreciated.

  5. I purchased this item as used.
It was received within three days, even though I did not request expediting. Unit is simple, functional, and works well for charging both my apple and dell mp3-units.

5 comments about Panasonic Type-24 PP511A Cordless Telephone Rechargeable Battery Replacement.
  1. Don't buy this, I bought it and it died within 12-18 months just like the factory Ni-Cad. Buy the new Ni-MH replacement HHR-P402 it has now lasted me 2 years at least. I didn't have the Ni-MH option when I bought this so I guess I can't fault them for selling it but now the Ni-MH option is here so don't buy this.

  2. The battery lasts a very long time. Sometimes it is left off the charger for a week and it still runs strong.

  3. In my experience, the Panasonic brand battery seems to give better battery life than some of the other brands I have tried in my Panasonic cordless phone. But, it does seem to be very important to go through several cycles of full discharge and recharge when you first use these batteries to avoid the "memory" problem that shortens the life of the battery.

  4. I purchased this battery as a replacement for the one on my aging cordless phone. It arrived in a timely manner and seems to work fine.

  5. I started a comparison test between a Panasonic P-P511 and the Radio Shack equivalent last year. The Radio Shack guy claimed that theirs lasted much longer. It was a limited test of putting a new one in each of my two phones. Neither held charges for more than a couple days after the first 6 months. A little over a year later, the Radio Shack battery is completely dead now and the Panasonic battery lasts less than 30 minutes. Conclusion: Radio Shack's battery is no better than the Panasonic battery. I will try one of the alternatives suggested by other reviewers next.

5 comments about Power Strip Liberator Cables, Combo Pack, Poly Bag.
  1. This combo pack is great, there are two each of three different types of connections. You may not need them all, but this is a great pack to have on hand - just in case.

  2. This item was a series of short extension cords that allowed me to connect multiple wall-warts to the same UPS. They met my exact need, and the cables were of good quality.

  3. Great combination of these extenders. Also, both the "normal" plug and the "pass-thru" plug types do fit just fine in power strips. The only thing I can think of to make it better would be to also vary the lengths a little bit so that you can choose the optimal one for each situation.

  4. What can you say about something so simple? You would think that these little extensions would be readily available but they are not. It seems that every electronic devise I buy has a big block on the plug that most outlets can't properly handle. These little extension cords solve that problem and they are well made. Get more than you think you want because you will need them.

  5. Kill-a-Watt Caution. I checked with the shipper and this cord has a lower power rating than the Kill-a-Watt you may be using it with. To avoid over-heating the cord be sure not to use with refrigerator, washer, dryer, air conditioner or other large power using appliance. Kill-a-Watt is rated 15 amps (1875 VA) and this cord is smaller, about 1/2 the amount of the Kill-a-Watt. We want you to be safe and avoid the classic "extension cord fire" from over-heating a cord.

2 comments about RCA AV (Video & Audio) Cable with Ipod Plug For Apple iPod Photo, Video, Classic, Touch, Nano 3rd Generation, iPhone 1st Generation Only 1st Gen (NOT for iPhone 3G).
  1. I bought this for IPod classic 6th generation and it works fine. I read that the simple cables which worked for previous generations do not work for the 6 G, so my selection was limited. This cable is relatively cheap compared to the official Apple cable and it works fine.

  2. This product worked exactly as promised, and very simply when I used it on my iPhone running software version 1. I tried it on another first gen iPhone running software v 2, and found that it didn't work so well. I gave the high review based on the experience with my iPhone. This is just a warning in case you're using a 1st gen iPhone with the latest software to consider your iPhone a 2nd gen for this accessory.
