2 comments about Belkin 12FT AC Replacement Power Cord (AC Male to AC Female).
- Yeah its just an electrical cord, but Amazon has it for a third of the price compared to the Comp USA price of 24.99.
- In my Country in most computer stores it is difficult to find this 12ft power cord,
and it is very common when you buy a new computer the power cord that`s included is very small and sometimes not good quality.
I specially recomend Belkin 12FT AC Replacement Power Cord (AC Male to AC Female) for those who like good things and need it for a big computer desk.

5 comments about Philips SHN9500 Active Noise Canceling Headphone.
- Replaced an older, less expensive set of Philips N/C headphones with these. These are comparable at cancelling noise but are better constructed. Major improvements are 1) much increased comfort due to better padding and 2) the ability to remove the dangling cable when you're not listening to music. I use these while reading on airplanes, so can't comment on the music sound quality.
- these headphones are very comfortable and when not listening to my ipod, they cancel noise reasonably well (~70%). BUT when listening to music, turn off the noise canceling feature - your music ears will appreciate it.
- I was looking for a less expensive alternative to the BOSE noise canceling headsets and purchased recently the SHN9500 for a good price (20% instant rebate). I work with computers and the monotone noise of servers in the server room as well as the accumulation of computers on my desktop result in an increase of stress level over time. First I tested the Phillips at home, but I was not very satisfied. I was standing close to my ceiling fan but still could hear it pretty loud. I thought I'll give it a try at work and used it in the server room and my office. In the server room, it just lowered the noise level, but after I tested ear plugs I figured they cancel even more (and much cheaper). I tested them in my office where I have 2 desktops on my desk and one laptop. The noise of the fans and hard drives is already fairly quiet without the headset so I gave it a try and tested the headset. Again I was not very satisfied.
The craftsmanship of the headset otherwise is great, it fits well on the head, is not to heavy and the looks are also nice. I did not test the sound quality though because for me the noise canceling is the main issue but I have to say the included cable is not very long. I tested once the BOSE Q3 of a friend of mine and it was dead silent (in my living room with running ceiling fans). I guess I'll return my SHN9500 and go directly for the real deal.
- I recently bought these headphones and made a round trip between Atlanta and Las Vegas on a noisy aircraft. As other reviewers have said, the noise cancellation is not perfect. It made a big difference on bass frequencies in the music, which is good because I was listening to new recordings of a jazz trio where I play the string bass. Without the noise cancellation, the bass was hard to pick out. With noise cancellation on, the bass was clear. But, I could still hear some airplane hum and it had little or no effect on the guy snoring behind me. I also didn't need to push the "mute" button to hear conversation.
The life from the battery that came with the headphones was poor. I used the headphones for about seven hours before the battery began to fade. The headphones begin to sound scratchy when the battery goes, and the scratchiness was distracting for the music I was listening to.
When I got home I measured the amount of current the headphones draw from the battery. They draw about 45mA on average. That means that a standard AAA alkaline battery, which is 1000mAh, should last 22 hours. So I am guessing that the battery they included was either old or had a smaller capacity. Alternatively, in loud environments the headphones might draw more current. I am flying to Japan tomorrow and will see if a Duracell 1175mAh battery lasts significantly longer.
Otherwise, they are very comfortable and nicely designed. The round carrying case is small enough to slip into my briefcase next to my computer.
UPDATE: I just returned from Japan, and the Duracell AAA has far outlasted the one that came with the headphones. I used the headphones for 12 hours outbound and 10 hours inbound (for a total of 22 hours, coincidentally) and the Duracell battery is still doing fine.
- I have never used noise canceling headphone before so i am only biased against regular headphones. I would say these are better than any other set I have owned. the over the ear fit is nice, although they seem a little tight. The padding for the top of the head is really nice. The cord is detachable, which is nice if you want a longer one you can buy your own.
As for the noise canceling function. if your not actually listening to anything, you can hear it. For me it kinda sounds like a pulsing hum. I sit 4 feet away from a wall mounted air conditioning unit. Even with it turned on, i can still hear the AC unit in the background, just not as much. These only reduce the noise by 85%.
even though these are not perfect, they are still better than any pair on normal headphone i have had. They are definitely worth the price.

2 comments about iPod nano 3G Silicone Skin Case - Color Black.
- The case is ok but the skin is too skinny and makes it hard sometimes to scroll. But it is really cheap
- Excelent product, been using it for six months and my Ipod is really neat.
Great product.

4 comments about TDK Electronics DVD-RW14RGAL3TG 8CM 1.4 GB DVD-RW Rewritable 3 Pack in Jewel Case.
- I bought this TDK 3-pack 8cm DVD-RW discs for my Panasonic VDR-D300 camcorder. I've been using two of the three discs; haven't opened the last disc yet. The discs seems quite reliable and they work well in my Panasonic VDR-D300. I also bought TDK's 5-pack 8cm DVD-R discs; I'll review those as well.
BTW, the DVD-RW disc can be re-written and/or re-formatted about 1,000 times total, but I've heard that after 500 or so times write and read speeds will drop off dramatically. This compares to up to 100,000 times for DVD-RAM, which is also used by Panasonic's DVD camcorders.
- Bought these for use with my Canon DC-40 camcorder. Compatible and works fine without any issues.
- These discs are great for quickly storing something on your PC. You can store 30 minutes of high quality DVD video on these and they are always ready when you need them. When you are done with the video or data you can just erase and use them for something else. If you are really into sitcoms and use your PC to record television, these are perfect for quick back-ups. They also work great in video dvd players once you have quickly transfered your video to them. They also work great for backing up songs you have purchased online or documents you need to put on the shelf for a while.
- I have a Canon DC50 camcorder. These disks work great in the camcorder and in my Sony Bravia DVD player. Good price/Quality product.

5 comments about Built NY 17" Laptop Sleeve - Stripe.
- I had purchased the same one but smaller which was supposed to fit all 15.4" laptops but was too small. This one was perfect for my laptop which is a Dell 15.4" but would not recomend it for a 17" laptop. Colors are very nice and pictures are very close to the actual item.
- The 17" sleeve I got fits my 17" MacBook Pro perfectly; it slips right in with nary a struggle. I get comments on the look and find that it performs its duty perfectly. A great way to protect my investment!
- I bought from AMAZON both the sleeve an the 17" laptop. This was brought to me in Uruguy, where I live. So now I have a completely brand new USELESS sleeve since it does not fit the laptop dimensions, by no means!!
Now: how can I be refunded??
- Does not fit HP 17" notebook. 6th Ave. charges back shipping and restocking so it really doesn't pay to return it.....
- I love this sleeve. My 15.4" computer slides into and out of it nicely. I first bought the 15" sleeve and it was too small, but the 17" sleeve is great. It came quickly and was exactly what I'd ordered. The only downside to remember is your cords won't fit into it. I bought the sleeve because I usually carry my laptop in another bag anyway, so I just carry my cords loose in that.

5 comments about Belkin Flip DVI-D KVM Switch with Remote F1DG102D.
- Wanted to share a huge 30" 2560x1600 monitor requiring a div-d interface supporting 2560x1600 between a Mcacintosh pro and a home-grown pc running Vista (64 bit) with an invidea 8600 graphics card. Everything worked great except the remote switch which did not work at all. Keyboard software worked fine.
- I bought this so I could share my LCD monitor between my main workstation/gaming PC and my XBox 360. Previously, I had been swapping the plugs back and forth on the back of the monitor, but that was a huge hassle. Bonus: the XBox recognizes the keyboard for text entry, which is useful. Note that this requires one of the newer XBox models that have an HDMI connector, and an HDMI to DVI-D female adapter.
So far, it works great. Since it's a digital signal there is no image degradation, like you often get with an analog KVM. The only problem I've had is that sometimes, after a session of gaming on my 360, when I switch back to the PC, the monitor will not pick up the signal from the video card. Switching back and forth does nothing. I have to power-cycle the KVM switch to get it working again (unplug and re-plug the power supply line). I suspect it's a signal synchronization issue, and it's possible there's a workaround to keep it from happening, but I haven't figured it out yet.
- Good product. Works very well with my workstation and laptop docking station. I use a wireless mouse and I have not encountered any issues. Will recommend to anyone and everyone.
- This device worked great for about two months, then the video on one side of the switch began to go out. The video output was interlaced with hundreds of vertical red pinstripes, and many of the colors were distorted so as to make movies unwatchable. I will probably send the unit back to the manufacturer, if the warranty is still in effect. But, I'm not sure I want to have it replaced with another of these -- it just doesn't seem to be that robust. At the moment, I'm only using the audio and USB part of the switch, and have the video from each computer plugged into different ports of my monitor, with a DVI-VGA adapter attached to one of the video cables. My recommendation for anyone looking for something like this is to consider another type of device. Belkin makes other KVMs; perhaps another model would be more reliable.
- Great concept, great product design, but poor technical execution. This device will work for most people, but I use it with a 30" monitor at 2560x1600 resolution and there's an incredible amount of noise on the screen with PCs. I've tried it with four flavors of PC video cards (nVidia an ATI) and they all exhibit the same noise problem. Coincidentally, the noise problem is not as prevalent when the KVM is switched to my MacBook Pro. I returned one to get another just-as-defective unit. I would advise against this if you intend to switch at 2560x1600 resolution.

4 comments about Belkin 25 Ft. Networking Cable (A3L850-25REDS-C).
- Nothing special about it. Pretty cheap compared to stuff at the store, even with shipping. Works fine.
- I never expected to get a 25' Networking cable for 3.48. It is a true real deal. Thank You Very Much for the offering. Pat and Barb. Pats Photography.
- The cable is pretty good. It does its job. I mean its a cable, highly unlikely that it would malfunction. 4 stars (not 5) because of its ugly red color.
- It was exactly what I needed--perfect length, no problems. I am happy to have purchased it.

4 comments about Sony ICFC1iPMK2BLK Speaker Dock/Clock Radio for Universal iPod (iTouch & iPhone) Black.
- If you intend to use this with your iphone, forget it! This unit produces random buzzing throughout the night. Support has been useless and there is no solution for this issue. This clearly is an engineering flaw because there is inadequate shielding around the speaker and amp. I would have thought Sony would have tested this unit before shipping it..
- Seeing as one of the reviewers posted for all the items (always frustrating since its misinformative), I'll enter a fair review on the MK2 version of this Sony clock.
As a previous owner of 2 of the original Sony iphone clock radios and a current owner of the identical looking upgraded versions, I can say that the original (and one thats on big sale on amazon) will have interference with your iphone. It will also tell you upon docking your iphone, that the iphone isnt compatible with teh device. So hello, wake up and realize that sony released a new shielded version (THIS version, teh ICFC1iPMK2) specifically for the iphone. When you dock your iphone on the right version, you dont get an incompatibility error.
You also get none of the GSM buzz found on the previous model.
As for sound, this isnt my klipsche sound dock, but it does a good job. I keep one wherever I may need time, music and ipod charging. As someone who lives next to their cell phone, I love that in the evening I have one less thing on the nightstand when charging my phone. Iphone's been handy charging in my 2 cars, both factory ipod capable too. I'm down with the Iphone :)
The clock is where this unit shines. If you've had a sony dreammachine clock since you were 4 years old, you will appreciate the dual alarms, easy to reach snoozes, easy to set clock and alarm selection. The sound is more than enough for a bed room, although thats only my opinion. If you want a full blown knock your socks off stereo, these shelf units arent going to cut it anyway.
So, this model... 100% Iphone safe. In fact, its the exact model previous except with shielded speakers and iphone recognized approval programmed in. If you buy the cheaper, on-sale model, you'll know you have the wrong one the moment you dock and your iphone warns you!
- I have this exact same model, not a previous version, and it does not work with the iPhone. It plays music from the iPhone just fine, without any buzzing.
The problem is, it doesn't charge the phone. The phone never changes to the charging screen that you see when you plug into pretty much every other dock. The battery icon never changes to show it's charging. I can use the controls on the clock to control the iPod functions of the iPhone, and the alarm clock uses the iPhone's music to wake me, but the phone never charges.
This far too expensive a clock radio to behave so poorly. Save your money until iPhone OS 2.0 comes out next month. Somebody will surely write a cheap app that will let you use the iPhone as the clock, so that any speaker dock can be used as a clock radio.
My iPhone is stock (not jailbroken in any way).
- The Good: Its great to wake up to the music on your Ipod and to control it via a decent remote control.
The Bad: It's blindingly bright, even on its dimmest setting. It's difficult to look at it in a darkened room.
The Ugly: It wobbles. Its rearward-leaning design makes it annoyingly unstable. Just setting the alarm requires the user to stabilize it with one hand and set it with another.
I'm saddened that Sony would put their name on this substandard product. Too bad.

5 comments about Griffin Tempo for Sansa - Armband for E200 series.
- I purchased this along with the other arm band sold here. This is by far the better quality one, but I use the other more cheaper one. The reason is the other has a clip. This product is strictly meant as an arm band, but I found after use that I don't like something on my arm. I'd prefer to clip the MP3 on my short's pocket or band. This doesn't reflect badly on the product because it's my personal preference. It's too good of a product to give away, so I'll save it as a back-up, in case the other one breaks.
- This armband has turned out to be pretty good. I searched the internet for about an hour, because I wanted to make sure I picked an armband that would be compatible with my mp3 player. The reality is that it can work with an ipod, or mp3 that has a similar design an the one in the picture. I wear it in the gym throughout my workouts, and it works great for me.
- This arm band is great. Does not slide off my arm. The holdster is secure, and it has a plasic thing to hold the head phone wire
- A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Its heavy duty and holds my E280 in place whenever I go running or play basketball. It gets uncomfortable after an hour but that might just be me because I have skinny arms. Of course if you just wiggle it around once and a while, it feels better to have on for longer periods of time.
Good product for a Great MP3 Player!
- When I purchased this I was concerned with a previous comment that stated, that the arm band slipped down the guys arm. I just want to say that this is not an issue with anyone that has some definition. All you have to do is use the velcro and tighten the thing up. I don't have a problem with it slipping down at all. This is a good armband that gets the job done.
The negatives-
1. If velcro is not positioned right it will irritate the skin.
Easy fix adjust the strap.
2. Like a previous person stated the armband is positioned awkwardly so that potentially the mp3 player could slide out, but I tell ya this thing is in their and it has not slid out on me at all. I run with and lift weights and the mp3 player is in their snug. If it does bother then you then you can put the armband backwards.
3. The headphone wire can be held back with an orange slide in piece of plastic. The wire is tough to get in, and it always slips out while I am working out. I think it is pretty useless for vigorous routines. Overall I am satisfied with this product and I would recommend.
