  1. I chose this speaker wire because of the price and the fact that insulator cover is red & white so you can easly set up for positive and negative connections. It is fairly heavey duty and large, about the size of a lamp cord, so not easily hidden, but it is white, so it blended in for our use. It was great for connecting our new polk audio speakers.

  2. It's speaker wire, what more could you expect? 1) It's white so it blends with white walls, and 2) it's color coated. My only complaint is that the color is more of an off-white/cream, not a big deal though. Does the job.

  3. I used this wire to replace the standard wire that came with my Onkyo HT-SR700 5.1 HTIB and boy did it improve the quality of sound that pumps out of the speakers. The connectors that came with it made the wires easy to plug into the Amp.

  4. i used this cable for the surround speakes and had to run one about 50 feet - worked very good and easy to hide on the wall with clips to hold them along the bottom of the wall - i first had a 10 gauge wire to use but was too thick - this guauge works fine and gave a nice clean look
i didnt use the pins which were included - i have banana plugs and used them which worked very good - i would buy this again and have no regrets

  5. I'm using this wire for my surround speakers, perfect capacity for smaller speakers, quality product. Definitely would recommend.

3 comments about Sony VAIO 11.1-Inch Neoprene protection case.
  1. I bought VAIO TZ-150N and looked for the pouch from [...].
It ended up more pricey than Amazon, I am glad I got it from here.
It has two way pocket in the front, can fit in the adapter and a mouse inside.
    Very portable and good design.

  2. This sleeve is just perfect for my Vaio TZ. I never leave home without it. It also has a small from pocket that allows you to store the AC adapter if needed. Even with the adaptor on board, things remain elegant and streamlined. I highly recommend this product.

  3. This case fits like a glove for that small sony VAIO! I love it! it also has two zippers on each end of a side pocket on top of the case so you can keep the core part of the power source in the pocket even when charging. :-) And my ipod also fits in the pocket.

The main zipper only goes halfway down but I like it like that so I can easily slide my laptop into the case. :-)

5 comments about Sanus Systems VMDD26B Universal Articulating Mount for 42" to 63" Displays (Black).
  1. Very heavy duty, sturdy wall-mount. I was nervous about the tv falling on our kids, but after seeing the high quality of this mount, I was no longer worried. We had to buy new hardware for it because the included hardware didn't seem sturdy enough, but overall is was easy to install and works great.

  2. I purchased this mount for a Pioneer PRO1150HD 50" plasma. A friend and I put it up on the wall in about an hour. Installation is a little complex, but well worth the effort as it looks great and functions beautifully (make sure you hit those studs!). I would recommend this product to anyone.

  3. We bought this to mount a 120# Pioneer KURO 60 inch plasma and the mount while expensive is very massive/reasuring and articulates in ALL directions which makes cable hookups etc a breeze. Do not be disuaded by the price - it is worth every penny. Definitely recommend professional installation. Price as usual is 25% lower than at Best Buy. Don't skimp on your mount! This is the one.

  4. This has got to be one of the best if not the best flat panel tv wall mounts I have come across. Very simple to install but it will take at least two!! people to lift this heavy bad boy to the wall. Like others have said had to cut down the four screws either to long or to short to fit my Sony BR4 other wise no big deal. Works like a charm and gives you more positions than you know what to do with. This wall mount was probably over kill for my 52" tv and could have got by with the VMAA26B but I felt like more was better in this case and gave me peace of mind. After all this was a 3 grand tv. Thanks Amazon for a great price and Thanks Sanus for a good quality product.

  5. I got this for my Sony 52" XBR5. I wanted the very best, strongest, and most maneuverable mount I could get. I do not believe it will ever come down, and I'm sure not nervous that the TV will fall on me or anybody. I agree with R.D. Fisher that It's overkill for a 52" LCD, but also that if you need the strength, the flexibility of repositioning your TV, you cannot beat this mount.
That said, I gave it 4 of 5 because:
I wish it screwed into three studs (16" centers) like the Peerless mount I used for my 52" Samsung in the bedroom..
I agree with Digger in Texas that the instructions suck (Peerless instructions are 100% better) and are mostly pictograms, and the hardware is minimally applicable. I had to use bolts from the Peerless mount.

  1. Great cable. Used to distribute the audio from my dvd player to mey Sony receiver, and works great. Highly recommended.

  2. Upgraded from component to Digital Coaxial. I have tried this for more than a month now. Usage was from PS3 output to Hometheater. Had to use a Digital Optic to Coaxial converter. This cable goes in from the converter to the hometheater. Good results so far. PS3 Games and Blueray movies sound much much better since this upgrade !

  3. This is an excellent coax cable, i use to connect my dvd-hometeather, only thing that's too short... i recommend to Belkin to make at least a 6 foot cable!

  1. This product was a great price and I received it very quickly. I would not hesitate dealing with this vendor again.

  2. I purchased this car charger about 1 1/2 years ago and its never let me down. I use it with a iPod Nano 2G. It charges the device and the line out jack connects up to my car stero with fantastic sound quality. I have also used it with a cassette tape adapter in another vehicle with equally good results. The sound quality is noticable better then connecting the stero to the headphone jack.

This device is NOT compatible with the iPhone 3G. It will NOT charge an iPhone 3G, however the audio out will work. Since Monster does not claim tha this product is iPhone compatible I'll give the product 5 stars.

  3. Works GREAT...low profile...crystal clear sound...no problems...perfect fitting into the arm consule charger of my car...& it looks great as well :)

  4. The iPod nano Gen 4 is NOT COMPATIBLE with this charger. Please read this before purchasing.

  5. WARNING: THE CAR CHARGER IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH THE IPHONE G3. The audio still works, but the iphone does not charge.

  1. very satisfied with this. very good quality. quick shipping. great place to buy this item. i researched alot before buying and this is the best deal and best product i noticed for the price.

  2. This product is used with DB4 HDTV antenna, and the HDTV set displays brilliant pictures on the end 75ft away from the antenna, what else needs to be said?
Name branded, high quality, low price, the twisting cap wont hurt your finger (try your luck to find similar in Radio Shack), fast delivery... I am glad I ordered this product from Amazon, and thanks for the folks who posted accurate positive postings here.

  3. You'd think that "cable is cable". Nope! Some is better than others. This is good stuff, solidly built with a wide, easy-to-install connectors.

2 comments about Apple iPod touch (8GB/ 16GB) Clear Transparent Screen and Back Surface Protector Shield.

  1. I like the material and it surprised me, but I tried many times to put it at the exactly right position on my iPod touch. I always get one side out of the screen and the same next few try. Finally I got many spec between the protector and the screen.

I hope they can figure out a good way to instruct people using that layer.

I still think it's good, maybe it's just my own problem.

  2. the picture did not reflect what i actually received in the mail. I wanted the screen protector that covered the entire screen, but when i opened it, the screen protector just protected the mid-portion of the screen. WASTED MY MONEY!

1 comments about On Stage DS7200B Adjustable Desk Microphone Stand, Black.
  1. I purchased this microphone stand to use with a large diaphragm recording microphone in a shock mount. While it only functions moderately well for this purpose, as the base is not heavy enough to completely counterbalance the microphone and microphone mount, I would have to believe it was not designed for the purpose I am using it for, so I'm not judging it based on my "off-label" use.

That said, the base is plenty heavy enough to hold a lighter microphone, or a microphone who's weight is centered more over the staff of the stand. The manufacturing was flawless and the stand works exactly as advertised. Overall, this stand is good value for the money.

5 comments about Denon AH-D1001K - Headphones ( ear-cup ) - black.
  1. What are the first two reviewers smoking? These headphones are well worth the money. Excellent build quality, clean looks, Denon quality, and they just flat-out sound very good. You have to understand most headphones require a break-in period, just like a brand new car. They won't sound their best out of the box - give them about 30-40 hours of play for best results. And you also have to understand that an iPod, or any portable mp3 player for that matter, isn't powerful enough to drive many large headphones, including this one. Invest in a portable amplifier, or build your own (Google C-Moy), and you'll notice a considerable difference.

  2. These headphones are absolutely magnificent!

They are supremely comfortable, soft in the ear cup, well padded on the headband, and they generate just enough pressure to be stable on the head without compressing your melon.

The sound is outstanding. They have a very flat response curve which gives you a nice uncolored reproduction of your source. I'm also very pleased with the isolation. At all but the most unreasonably loud volumes, they seal the sound in so I don't bother those around me. I personally use these in an office environment primarily, but of course tried them out on my home hifi and my iPhone. All three scenarios were equally positive.

At this price point for sealed cans, these are no-brainers. My personal opinion is that you'd need to spend double or more to get any significant gain in sound quality, so I'd say these are your sub-$200 go-tos, all things considered.

  3. I'm using these for my gaming PC.

Pro's - really light and comfortable sounds AWESOME!

Con's - No volume adjust on the Cord, which is a HUGE letdown.

But if your not using these for Gaming I'd give them a 10 out of 10.

  4. I am using these with a Sony MP3 Player which sounds so much better than the Ipods.

Pros: Sound Quality is excellent, Bass is great with this Walkman, The highs and mids are clear.

    Cons: None so far.

I honestly feel that the Sony Walkman and these headphones are the perfect combination. They sound so good together, I can't stop listening to them.

  5. I'm a little dismayed that some of the reviewers for this product said they think the Bose headphones are better. I've heard many of the Bose models (Triport, QC2/3) the Bose and I feel these are a far superior headphone.

First of all, these headphones actually do quite well when you connect them up to professional test equipment that measures how well the headphone is reproducing the frequency spectrum. They have an pretty ideal frequency response, strong in the bass, nice even midrange, and their only flaw is a slightly exaggerated upper mids and treble rendition. So the headphone on a whole is balanced very well tonally, you are hearing the pretty close to the right amount of bass, midrange and treble that the musician probably intended you to hear. They aren't really lacking in bass despite some reviewers' claim otherwise, and compared to some other headphones that are more expensive, they actually are pretty full bodied sounding. In comparison, the competition from Bose headphones have a pretty much exaggerated amount of bass that may initially actually sound more impressive, but are less faithful to the original intent of the recording. And Bose headphones have nothing on these puppies when it comes to the treble reproduction, these headphones convey the tizz of the high hats and the crash of the cymbals with more presence and realism. Of course, if you are the type of person who turns up the bass control on every device you use, then these headphones may fall short for your taste. I'm not going to say that these Denons are flawless by any means, but they seem to get it more right tonally, and aren't really lacking for any genre of music. Just like their more expensive siblings, the Denon AH-D1001 are "do it all" headphones for almost every type of music.

I bought these headphones to complement my collection of decent mid to higher end headphones (costing upwards of $400). You can say I'm a bit of a headphone fanatic. I own the Denon AH-D2000 which costs about 2-3 times as much, which I love a lot as my general use headphone, but I wanted something I could use at my workplace with less fear somebody may run off with my $300 headphones when I go on washroom break. I normally use high end In-Ear-Monitors but after a while I found them uncomfortable for really long term use. So based on my superb experience with the D2000, I wanted to get a set of these. They have excellent comfort, they don't clamp my head excessively. The padded headband puts even pressure across the top of my head. And they feel light. The cord is the right length for plugging into a device on my desk and it comes with an extension cord for home theater use on the couch. I like the little cloth carry pouch just to keep the headphone from getting tangled among my other gear in my laptop bag. They feel reasonably sturdy and are really straightforward to use. If you have big ears you may find that your ears may touch the inner surface of the earcup, so your mileage may vary in terms of fit. I have a HUGE head (7.75 hat size), and these fit me with room to spare.

How does it sound? I think the sound is excellent overall:
    - clarity and detail is very good, comparable to anything I've heard under $150. You would directly compare these to the Bose Triports which are in the same price range (these are way less costly if you compare street prices)
    - midrange is solid and not too forward, it works well for both female and male vocals. Again like the D2000, if all you listen to are vocals, there are better headphones, but these didn't disappoint me listening to my collection of female singers, Loreena McKennitt, Diana Krall, Dido, Carpenters, Amanda McBroom, Sarah McLachlan, etc. These headphones let me hear what I like best about their voices.
    - everything from the mid-bass on up is well represented. Kick drums sound realistic with good punch and authority. Trance/Techno/Electronic music sounds punchy. These headphones can rock out when you want it to. I even had some "wow" moments listening to some of remixes of dance songs, the bass was ever present. I'd suggest that if you think these are bass light, if you actually live with for a while, they will sound more and more "right".
    - Re: the imaging or "headstage": the placement of performers in the recording is precise and fairly spacious. You get a better sense of space compared to listening to earbuds, but not as good as some of the more expensive open headphones like the AKG K601. I'd rate these headphones as "adequate" if you don't like the "all the music in your head" feeling.
    - The slightly elevated highs means this headphone can sound a bit forward if the music is recorded on the "bright" side. Madonna's Confessions on a Dance floor has to be one of the brighter sounding recordings, and with these headphones, the highs were piercing. The headphones don't sound as edgy as a Grado SR80 for example, but you are aware of the highs when you listen to that recording.

The bad thing: although these are sealed headphones that should block out some noise, they barely block out any noise at all. They only block out 10dB of noise which means you hear the noise at half the intensity, which is not enough for reducing the noise of my noisy cubicle mates. There were a bunch of people talking near my cubicle yesterday, and I had wished I brought my IEMs with me, because they were still annoying until I really had the music on loud.

All in all, just get these, but be aware that these tend to be more "accurate" headphones rather than "wow, that's some impressive bass" headphones that Bose tend to produce. If you want clarity, detail and a balanced sound but with still a good solid bass foundation for any type of music, these are it for under $150 headphones. Of course, if you can afford it, move on up to higher end models from Denon, Sennheiser, AKG, Beyerdynamic or others if you are trying to put together a first class system. But I don't think you'll find a better rounded headphone for the price. For my standard disclaimer ---- Like all headphones, make sure you buy from a vendor that allows returns because everybody hears differently, and some headphones work better for some than others. But another great product from Denon.
