5 comments about 3.5mm Stereo Jack To 2.5mm Stereo Plug Adapter.
  1. I wanted a converter to use my normal headset with the customised jack of my cordless phone and this guy solved that in a snap... i am satisfie with it.

  2. I purchased this product hoping to use my headphones and other devices with my phone's MP3 player. The adapter failed miserably. I could not hear from both the right and left headphone speakers at the same time. The most confusing problem occurred when I plugged in my headphones into the phone with the adapter. My phone began to either redial or open a function. This adapter is not meant as a solution for the LG's new Chocolate phones.

  3. This adapter worked as expected and allowed me to use regular headphones, as opposed to cell-phone headphones, on my mp3 player. The only issue for me is keeping track of the little thing!

  4. for some reason, probably the phone circuits themselves, only monoaural support when connected to a stereo headset. May not be the fault of the product. Tried on Samsung 1760 and LG chocolate

  5. I bought this in order to plug standard earbuds into a Palm Treo 700W smartphone, and it works great. I load music onto an SD card using Windows Media Player, and this adapter lets me plug a pair of Griffin Earthumps in and get at least 6 hours of MP3 player functionality. If you have a Treo, buy this and the Earthumps through Amazon, and you have a portable MP3 player to travel with, including the phones, the adapter, and a nice pouch to hold them, for about $10.00. Don't be fooled by the low price on the Griffin buds either - they work great for $25 (what I paid at the airport) so I'm sure they sound even better when you only pay $6.49 through Amazon!

5 comments about PSP 2000 Component AV Cable.
  1. I have owned this cable for a little over 2 months now, and feel like its time for a review. The cable itself is of fairly high quality, however, its really way too short unless you only sit about 5-6 feet away from your tv. I have to sit on the edge of my couch to reach the psp comfortably. Sony should have known that a longer cable would be a necessity considering most tvs only have component inputs on the back, and your average user sits between 6-10 feet away from their tv.
The video quality on the cable is about what you would expect on a big screen hdtv. One major letdown, as many others have noted is that when playing games on the psp the video output is only about 1/3 of the actual screen size of the tv. When playing Videos, music, or looking at pictures, the quality is about what you would expect for a 480p input. If you have a tv that has a component input but is not hd then you will not be able to display games for some reason, only movies, music and pictures.
Overall unless you have a specific reason to output video from your psp onto your tv, I would pass on these cables. It can be very distracting trying to play a game within this huge black box because the psp cant display full video out.

  2. I think one of the best features is that it works with remote play. Sounds pointless to some people...but i have my PS3 set-up in my bedroom and large speakers in my living room. So i use my psp hooked into my TV and stream my Music through remote play to my TV and Stereo in my Living room. Very neat.

  3. OK yeah, when you play games on the PSP and look at it on the TV its a smaller picture. I have a 32" LCD and I loose about 6" a side in viewing real estate ... but its still about 12x bigger than the PSP screen itself and let me tell you its worth it. You can actually see what you're doing, and when I'm playing God of War: Chains of Olympus I want to see what is going on. Video and pictures don't loose that kind of viewing real estate. I noticed about an inch around viewing a video UMD and I suspect the same to be true for pictures although I currently don't have any jpeg files on my Memory Sticks to look at. I would say all in all its well worth the price ... currently under $20.00 and it will increase your gaming / viewing pleasure of the PSP. My one complaint and the reason for 3 stars instead of 4 stars (which for me is a good review, I rarely give 5 stars) and this is my caveat emptor for this product as well. The videogame output will only work on these cables if you have a progressive scan TV, even without progressive scan you can still watch videos and view images, but to get game video on the TV from the PSP you need progressive scan on your TV and this is not clearly advertised ... this is all it says on Amazon about half way down the page:

    Product Description
Used to connect to TV Component-port for Progressive-Scan video display.

This is inaccurate as you only need PS to play games, not videos or images.
If you have progressive scan and you don't mind your game video being smaller than your total TV viewing area (its still a lot bigger than PSP screen) or you have video UMDs that you want to watch on the big screen, then these are the cables you want.

  4. OK, you've got the cable, but don't think you have a PS2 now. It gives you a good image, but create borders in most of the games I've tried.

Worths the money, but I still prefer playing on its own screen...

    Cheers,

    Ricardo

  5. The Good:

+Allows you to play your PSP games on your television
+Very easy to connect and set up

    The Bad:

-Your television must support progressive scan or else it won't work
-For some games it brings out the worst in graphics
    -The cord is too short
-Twenty dollars is a bit expensive

During the days when the Super Nintendo ruled the world, Nintendo developed what was known as The Super Gameboy. It was where you stuck your gameboy games into a specially made cartridge and they played on your Super Nintendo. The Gamecube also had a variant. The Gameboy Player. These things worked really well to play handheld games on a television. Sony, taking a lesson from Nintendo, decided to do their own. The cable does exactly what it's supposed to but there are a couple of things that just make it a hassle to deal with.

It's easy to work. At the bottom of your PSP is the port, and then you plug the cables into your television. These cables do not work a standard definition television, however. It must be an HDTV and it must support Progressive Scan or else you won't get a picture. When you plug the cables in and connect it to your PSP and you get a picture, it's actually quite crisp. In some games, however, it'll bring out the worst in the graphics. Some games just weren't meant to be on the big screen. Some games you can see more jagged edges that you otherwise wouldn't see on the PSP's small screen.

One big problem, however, is that the game doesn't take up the whole screen. It's basically just a rectangle in the center of the television. It works out, but the menu itself will actually take up the entire screen. It's a little strange, but games play very well. And the PSP acts as your controller. However, this can be a little bothersome to some people.

If you ever suddenly need to take it off the TV you can disconnect from your PSP in the middle of play with no harm done to your television or your PSP.

There is one other major problem with this device. The fact that the cord is incredibly short. It's bad enough it doesn't work on a standard definition TV and that it shows the worst in some graphics and that it doesn't take up the whole screen, but the short cord may be one of the bigger problems. In some cases, you'll be a little unreasonably close, especially if your plugins are on the back of your television. A longer cord would've been nice.

Perhaps one of my bigger complaints is that the list price is simply unreasonable. Twenty dollars is a lot to spend on just a cord. Luckily, there are some sellers who are selling it for much cheaper.

Overall, it does what it's supposed to do, but there's a bit of a cost to getting it there. If you feel like playing your PSP games on your television, then it isn't bad at all.

5 comments about Sabrent USB to DB25 Female Parallel Converter Adapter 6-Foot Cable (USB-DB25F).
  1. I connected one end of this adapter cable to my printer parallel cable and other end to computer USB port. Windows XP automatically detected the printer and started printing. It can't get easier than that !!!!

If XP does not have built-in drivers for your printer you have to install the drivers first from CD come with the printer. Most printer drivers can be downloaded from manufacturer's website these days.

  2. This product only worked for a few weeks and then the cable broke. The DB25 end wasn't attached to the cable very well and broke off after a few weeks. Poor quality. I bought another cable from a different manufacture.

    Bad luck?

  3. If you want to connect other parallel devices, like scanners, this converter does NOT work! Select a PCMCIA to Parallel Port Card instead!

  4. This cable worked perfectly for my HP 722C on a brand new Dell PC with no printer port. I had read in reviews or somewhere else that these cables would not hep if your printer was multifunction (or that only the printing function would work), so since my printer was just a printer, this cable worked fine.

Was deliverd within about 3 days from the order.

  5. Plugged it in and my computer (Vista) recognized it right away. So far, so good!

  1. digital cameras eat up batteries, especially rechargeable ones. but this kodak lithium-ion rechargeable is great. it lasts about a month on a full charge, where other batteries might not last two days. it charges quickly too. sure, it's expensive, but it's going to easily save you money that you would have spent on more and more regular batteries and it's going to save you from having to carry four sets of rechargeables that don't last more than a couple of hours.

worth the buy - but you can't use these batteries in just anything. my camera takes AA batteries as well as this special rechargeable. but this rechargeable won't fit in everything that takes AA. make sure it fits your product!

  3. I purchased a charger from other brand for cheaper price but it turned out to be broken and took long time to charge full. I had to buy the original manufacture one and it works perfectly for charging different kinds of kodak batteries. My recommendation is always purchase the original manufacture brand. Even on batteries, last very long for each use. It's more expensive but you don't pay twice like I do.

5 comments about Griffin TuneJuice 2 Battery Backup for iPod (Black).
  1. The unit was recieved with flat batteries, no surprise. Purchased new batteries and when you plug it in it will push your battery indicator to full but two songs later the battery indicator is down and draining fast. Stay away from this device. It is absolutely useless.

  2. I purchased the TuneJuice 2 because a review I read said it would work with the iPhone. I needed it because I was flying cross country - twice. I wanted to watch movies on the plane and while waiting at the airport, and I know that the iPhone battery wouldn't last 10 hours.

When plugging in the TuneJuice 2 the iPhone states that the device was not made for the iPhone - and that I should turn in Airplane mode. Not a problem on the plane, but not desired in the airport waiting to board.

The TuneJuice 2 does not charge the iPhone - which I knew, but it was supposed to maintain the iPhone's battery level. What I found was that the device slowed the battery drain while watching movies. Also - because of the short cord, the TuneJuice made it uncomfortable to hold the iPhone during the flight. I either had to place both the phone and battery on my lap and look down - or hold both up in an unnatural position.
Finally - there was no indication anywhere of when the batteries in the case died - so halfway through the flights, the iPhone discharge quickly.

Pros - The TuneJuice 2 did help me watch movies on my iPhone during cross country flights.
Cons - No battery level indicator / Doesn't charge phone or boost the battery at all - only slows iPhone discharge rate / Uncomfortable to use.

  3. This product makes an electrical connection between 4 AAA cells and the input to your iPod. This should strike many as strage, because the input to your iPod is typically less than 1.5 x 4 = 6v. It's more like 4.2 or 5 volts. I bought mine on NewEgg and realized that there's a non-refundable disclaimer somewhere, so I can't send it back, or I would. Among the side effects -- it adds a low but distinct hissing sound to the playback. It's not a huge deal because of how low it is. The other problem is more worrying -- sometimes your song gets garbled like it would if your CD or LP record would get stuck on the player. This has *NEVER* happened to me on an iPod, so it was horrifying when it did. It came back to normal the moment I unplugged the battery backup. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's enough for me to trash this piece. My iPod is not worth the experiment...

  4. I can confirm that this product is definitely not compataible with the Ipod Touch 2g (wrong charging voltage causes error message), and I've also heard it won't work with the Iphone 3G.

  5. I bought this right before a long flight. It only slows down the drain on your ipod rather than substituting for the ipod battery. You also should check to make sure that the batteries have good contact as they shift in the case and then they do not work. You must hold the ipod for the entire time since it connects on the bottom and does not allow you to use a "stand". It really was not worth it.

5 comments about Rasfox preprint KeyBoard Silicone Cover Skin For Apple 13" MacBook - Black.
  1. The fit isn't *perfect* - but mine arrived kind of folded inside the package which may have given it's imperfect ripples here and there. However this thing is totally worth it to protect from dust, liquids, crumbs, etc.

  2. The function keys on new macbooks now control iTunes playback (a nice feature) and have been shuffled around to reflect this. While my new rasfax keyboard cover fits nicely over my keyboard, the function keys are printed with the wrong set of symbols. It's kind of a shame. Otherwise I might have given this product four stars, because protecting my 'book is a big concern for me.

  3. I purchased this product concurrent with my new Macbook to ensure that it was safe from day one. While it does provide the benefits of preventing dust and other junk from getting on the laptop, I don't believe it provides more than veneer protection from a liquid spill. As well, there is a noticeable effect on typing. I am currently typing through it and it definitely slows down my typing speed and raises my error rate. Also, it does not fit perfectly on my Macbook. The edges are very slightly off the edge of the computer creating a raised rubber edge around the left and right sides of the laptop. This is only important in that it peels everytime I open the lid and often requires reseating the overlay.

Still, it looks nice and feels good. Aside from the incredible misspellings on the packaging, worth the purchase price.

  4. If your keyboards often wear out, this is probably a good product for you. I haven't used it for a long time so I'll have to revisit my review after a few weeks of use.

Note that the added rubber does indeed change the action of keys - there is a noticible "edge" made from the rubber when depressing keys, which might be slightly irritating to some.

I have a bit of an issue with the way the palm rest is made. It has a slight edge which I think is supposed to go outside of the frame and sort of wrap around the very top of the base. This sort of prevents the cover from staying shut completely without some adjustments. Not sure if it will stay in place after awhile or if that would continue to be an issue. If you have some kind of external skin this shouldn't be a problem, but without one I'd be a bit worried about the top catching on papers, etc. in a bag. Given that, I would have preferred a tapered edge around the palm rests. One of the reasons I got this however was to combat the wear patterns forming on the palm rests of my MacBook.

One thing I was a bit worried about was possibility of a latex smell - so far I don't detect any bad smell on my hands from the cover.

Over all a good purchase, recommended.

  5. Really good at protecting my apple. The material seems to attract a lot of dust.

5 comments about Earphones.
  1. I just hope somebody who is thinking of buying these on eBay reads this and realize how many fakes are on eBay EVEN when the seller claims they are genuine.
Anyway, these headphones sound beautiful, loud, and are TOUGH. They have been pulled loose from my ears more times than I can remember, usually when I'm in a crowded train and the cord gets caught in somebody's backpack or such. After all that they still work and sound good. When you actually handle the headphones and realize the material and workmanship that went into it you would know why it costs what it costs.

  2. These B&O headphones work really well without acting like earmuffs. The surprisingly simple--yet elegant--design keeps one cool, stays in place, and provides excellent sound quality. This is a clever, well-made set of headphones.

  3. I tried several pairs of earphones and earbuds before deciding to spend the extra money on this pair. I wish I had just bought these first instead of trying to find a less expensive pair. You get what you pay for.
Although not an audiophile, and comfort being my first priority, the sound is exceptional. Clear, crisp, full range.
The design of the headphone allows them to be easily adjusted. Previous reviews had evidenced this as a problem, but to me it was a very simple adjustment. The headphone joints 2 ways, over the ear adjustment and then the sound bud joints into the ear canal. It is very comfortable and stays in place perfectly while working out. Those of you looking for a good set for workouts, this is it. They also have some real substance to them, not heavy, just sturdy and well built. I expect they will last a long time. I use them 4 days a week to run and have had no problems. Hope this helps.

  4. Just a note to anyone buying a pair of A8's, there are many fake pairs of these headphones on Amazon being sold as geuines. Any pairs for under $100 should be avoided!!! Research your seller!

  5. I bought Bose...hated those. SHure....could not keep them in my ears and I FINALLY found my way home when I bought these. These are the "Rolls Royce" of headphones. I can run for miles with incredible sound and pure comfort. These are the BEST! I cannot say enough. The only downside...the price, BUT worth every penny.

  1. I usually don't do reviews but I am so unhappy with this product that I wanted to warn others. As others stated buttons don't work reliably, and several times when I hit the volume button it went to max. Then it won't turn off or lower so your eardrums burst. I was riding a motorcycle each time it happened and by the time I could pull over and rip off my helmet I was deaf.
Lucky I didn't crash. I returned the item today to Amazon with no hassles..do the same, better yet buy something else.

  2. I bought this product to use with my motorcycle. It worked well enough with my first generation nano, but I bout a new Nano (video) for a trip, and it didn't work AT ALL. Very frustrating. I am sending this POS back.

  3. This product did not work at all like described, the only way it would even sometimes work was to hold, it a max of two inches away from the ipod and even then it would more likely skip through the song rather than skip the song all together. There isn't a chance this would have worked through clothes let alone through walls.

  4. I bought this remote as a gift for my boyfriend who likes to listen to his iPod while running/working out. It sounded like a very convenient idea, and it is, when it actually works, which is not often.
It seems you have to have it in the exact right position at the exact right distance for it to have any effect on your iPod at all. We tried every way we could think of and it still only controlled the iPod when it wanted to.
Also, the wrist band is difficult to adjust and we had trouble getting it to snugly fit my boyfriend's fairly large wrists, so I can't imagine it would work at all for a woman with smaller wrists like mine.
Overall, not work the purchase because it's aggrivating to use and doesn't work the way it should.

  5. This is that best wireless remote I have been able to find for the IPOD. The buttons are large enough to use even with a gloved hand, even if the remote is placed under a thin shell jacket. It controls all the basic IPOD functions: start/pause, volume up/down, forward/back. The remote control is meant to attach to the Velcro strap with a metal clip. WARNING - Do not use the clip unless you want to lose your remote for it will almost certainly fall off the Velcro band. But there is an easy solution to this, simply remove the clip from the back of the remote, as shown in the instructions, and run the Velcro band directly through the holes in the back of the remote control unit. You now have the remote Velcro'd onto your arm, just about as secure as it can get. If your arm is too small you may need to make a modification to the strap. A Must have item for those who like to ski with their IPOD!

  1. Vista will put in the drivers for the device, but soon as you try to put in the memory chip it freezes up - over and over again. I tried looking for solutions on the internet and tried some Microsoft fix solutions for SD memory, but I could not get it to work with this product. However, it worked great on a Win2000 machine, and - no putting Vista in compatibility mode for Win2000 on this device did not work either.

  2. It appears to be a decent card reader. But I have to wonder if it's REALLY worth $500.00! Especially if you can get a used one for $1.89...... =o)

  3. I purchased another brand disc cleaner at a video game store. The package claimed that it worked on dvd players. It did not work, and hoping to save the money of replacing the dvd player, I tried the Scotch Disc Cleaner. It worked like a charm and now I do not have to replace my dvd player. I highly recommend this product.

  4. Good for cleaning used and rented CD's and games. Cheap. Does not remove scratches. Keeps your game consol and DVD player clean.

  5. Quick, simple and easy to operate. Works manually with Excellent results. (Took me a moment to figure out opening it the first time.) Comes with spray on liquid cleaner that could be made at home for continued using of the item.
