3 comments about GE AV93262 F to F RG6 Coaxial Cable (75 ft).
  1. very satisfied with this. very good quality. quick shipping. great place to buy this item. i researched alot before buying and this is the best deal and best product i noticed for the price.

  2. This product is used with DB4 HDTV antenna, and the HDTV set displays brilliant pictures on the end 75ft away from the antenna, what else needs to be said?
Name branded, high quality, low price, the twisting cap wont hurt your finger (try your luck to find similar in Radio Shack), fast delivery... I am glad I ordered this product from Amazon, and thanks for the folks who posted accurate positive postings here.

  3. You'd think that "cable is cable". Nope! Some is better than others. This is good stuff, solidly built with a wide, easy-to-install connectors.

5 comments about Sony AC-E45A Worldwide AC Power Adaptor with Folding Plug Blade.
  1. The Sony AC-E45A AC Power Adaptor is presented as being compatible with the Sony ICF-M410V portable radio. The web site advertisment encourages you to buy the adaptor if you buy the radio by offering a package. Reality is that the adaptor causes the radio to have unacceptable noise and static. What is worse is that the notes on the reverse side of the Sony AC-E45A power adaptor carton say, "Do not use this adaptor with a radio as it may cause some noises." Obviously, had I been aware of the notes on the backside of the carton, I would not have purchased the adaptor and probably not the radio as well.

  2. Had same problem as others with this power supply as it imparts loud interference due to being a switching supply. It will not work with AM radios yet this is the accessory that Amazon lists for the Sony ICF-M410V portable radio. It even states this on the package but not in the ads.

  3. After reading these reviews I decided to try a different adaptor for the Sony radio I purchased from Amazon. The first one I purchased from RadioShack produced the same type of interference as was reported by several people here. I returned that one and purchased a different model which works fine with the Sony radio and produces no interference. The model that works is RadioShack 273-1765. It is a 4.5 V - 700 mA AC-to-DC Adapter. This model costs $ 22.99.

  4. Product does everything it says. It does tend to have a little more static interference than just using it on battery power, but not all the time and not enough to make it annoying.

  5. This adapter was noisy on am stations when used with the sony radio.
Found a generic at Radio Shack , however, that worked just fine and was quiet for about the same price.

5 comments about Targus RG0322 15.4 Matrix Notebook Backpack.
  1. The Targus RG0318 15.4 Gravity Backpack is a very nice bag, particularly for those with notebooks and the need to transport a lot of additional books and papers. In that way the bag is slightly superior to the Targus CVR600 15.4 Groove Notebook Backpack by the same company. In terms of price this backpack slightly more than the Groove, which is the *low cost* solution of quality bags. Some of the important extras included with this one, including a dedicated notebook section in the back and larger storage capacity, will make this one worth it for many people.

    The Positives

For starters, this is not only for laptop use. The dedicated pouch in the back has a removable padded laptop sleeve that does make it ideal for laptops, but you can clearly use if only for books or papers if you prefer. And either way, when it comes to storage this thing is REALLY well thought out. I find that I can store many more items in this guy than in my Groove.

A 17 inch laptop is probably too big for this, though you *might* be able to squeeze it in to the padded sleeve with some modifications. Really, this is made for 15 inch laptops and will easily accommodate some of the newer 16 inch widescreens as well.

The notebook area also includes a mesh pocket that provides a small area to collect those laptop extras, like a cable lock or wireless mouse.

And the main compartment also has a separate divider to help you organize your papers. And the front pockets have many dividers and smaller compartments, certainly more than the Groove. So there are a lot of good things to love about this bag.

    The Bad

So why did I get the Groove if I love this one so much? Well, the Groove is cheaper so I bought it on sale as an extra. Just for information, I have used this one for over 3 years and the Groove for about 1. The grey and black color of this one certainly doesn't look as attractive as the simple black of the Groove.

The arms don't have an extra supporting clip like many newer bags and are the traditional straight design, not as ergonomic. Also, after 1 year of use the edges of the seams started to fray a lot. My bag still works though, I just use it less these days.

    Conclusion
At the right price this can be a good value and a handy extra unit to have around. If you need maximum storage capacity it's worth the extra cash compared to the Groove. Definitely check it out.

    Enjoy!

  2. So far so good. I use if for business travel, mostly overnight and back trips. The compartmentalization is well thought-out. I am able to pack an extra shirt and slacks as well as my personal items without difficulty. Really helps speed through the security lines.

I like having the computer storage area in the inner most compartment (against my back) instead of in one of the outermost compartments like some of competitive products. Overall, it is a good product for the price.

  3. This backpack has more than enough space for what you need. I can carry my laptop, text books, notebooks, wireless mouse, and the power supply! I'm a college student so i carry alot of books and they are heavy, but the straps are padded so they take alot of the strain off your shoulders.

  4. This backpack has served all the purposes I've hoped for. It's large enough to carry all of my law books as well as my 15.4-inch computer. I'm a little worried about it's lack of waterproofing because of the rain, but otherwise, a great backpack.

  5. Like the title says, I've had this for 6-7 years and it's been through 3-4 countries (checked in, not carried on). Since it's old, I've been particularly abusive with it and it's still good as new. I'm amazed that it's lasted this long when other laptop backpacks have fallen apart within a year or two. As much as I'd like an excuse to get another laptop bag, this thing will not break.

5 comments about OmniMount UCL-XB Dual Arm Cantilever Mount (fits 42 - 63" flat panels).
  1. Mount works great and for having a 100+ pound tv on it moves relatively easy. I would buy one again. My 2 gribes about the mount are:
    1. Plastic cord hides on the arms are flimsy
    2. When retracted all the way back (flat) against the wall the unit sticks out from the wall further than I would prefer leaving the tv roughly 6-8" from the wall.

  2. This product exceeded my expectations. In my opinion this is the best mount on the market that I have seen, hands down! It gives the flexibility of panning the TV left, right, up or down depending on where you or your guests are sitting or to avoid glare. It also allows the TV to extend from the wall a good 3 feet or better! The instructions are suspect. Download a better version from the Omnimount website. I was able to install it myself with the help of a friend. The dual arms mount on two studs and gives me that "warm fuzzy" when I mounted my 52" Sharp Aquos. You don't want to trust your $2,000 - $3,000 investment on a shabby mount. The best part is that I saved at least $250 with Amazon over Best Buy! I highly recommend for any 47" or larger TV

  3. I purchased this mount about a month ago and am thoroughly satisfied. It is expensive, but well worth the money. Having said that, the price is very, very good through Amazon. I saw the *exact* same mount at my local CircuitCity store for $649!

As others have said, be sure your studs are the correct distance. That is by far the most difficult part of mounting the TV. After putting quite a few pin holes in my wall to make extra certain I was hitting the center of the studs, the rest of the install was easy. It is a 2 person job though...especially with a 52" TV like mine.

One other thing, I specifically bought this mount because it extended out far enough and swiveled enough that I could mount my TV in a corner. It works great for my room. It comes out far enough that I can turn my 52" TV at probable a 40 degree angle. Looks perfect!

Anyway, great product and great price at Amazon.

  4. great prodct easy to install and does a great job i have it holding a 46 inch sharp tv. has alot of fexibilty in the directions it can face.

  5. To the guy who gave it 1 star... you forgot to do your homework before buying a $300 wall mount. Thats on you, not the mount. 16" studs are standard, and you can always cut out some sheetrock and make a brace.

There is a slider and slotted bolt holes so you can center the tv about 6-10 inches off the center of the studs.

After I mounted it, I fully extended it and hung my body weight from it (175 lb) before attaching the TV with no problems.

    Cable management could be better.

5 comments about Shure SE110 Sound Isolating Earphone with Balanced Armiture Driver, White.
  1. I would like to begin with that I'm writing this review while I'm using them. I bought the Bose in ear headphones thinking that they were good. They didn't feel to secure in the ear and the sound quality was muffled a bit. Let me tell you, the SHURE SE110 are awesome. A friend who is an electrical engineer recommended them to me based on their frequency response. They have a great sound and do an excellent job cutting out the ambient noises in whatever atmosphere you're in. I am a musician and can hear all sorts of stuff that people may not. I highly recommend them.

  2. Pros
+ Isolates sound very well. First day I used it, co-workers were already irritated that they were calling my name and I couldn't hear them. Excellent, now I can zone while I work!
+ The short cable + extension cable allows this earphone to be used with an armband iPod or your desktop computer without dangling cables

    Cons
    - The cost - sound quality wise, I've had something similar for half the price by Sony. I expected a wowing difference at $100.

  3. I rarely do reviews, but all the reviews I read on this product were very good reviews and I bought a pair. I'm absolutely shocked that anyone could rate the 110's higher than a 3 star. This is the first product I've bought on Amazon that I had to return (not Amazon's fault). I read all the online reviews that said the SE110 was essentially almost as good as the SE310s. That is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. These headphones have no bass at all. I turned up the EQ on my iPOD all the way to put the most bass on and it sounded like cheap headphones with no bass - even turned up.

The SE110s are VERY comfortable and from that perspective, they're a 5. They're a very well constructed product as well. However, I can't get over the terrible bass which makes the over sound quality very poor.

If you're only going to listen to piano or vocals, these are probably good. However, even for piano sounds, you lose the low tones. Very, very disappointed.

After I returned the SE110s I bought the SE310s and am MUCH happier. I'm very surprise Shure would put a product like this on the market.

  4. The problem is that although they sound is great, the material quality -- especially the cord is REALLY poor given the high price. It is ESPECIALLY bad where the cord meets the ear phones itself...this is where it will take the most daily wear. It WILL break eventually. It is almost as if it has been designed to fail so that you will eventually buy another pair at a ridiculous high price.

Furthermore the ear plugs seems to be designed so that they FALL OFF easily so that you will lose them and have to buy replacements from SHURE at --- suprise!--- a ridiculously high price again. 2 cents worth of material for 10 bucks!.

    Recommedation: NEVER AGAIN!

  5. These sound great with the expanding foam inserts. They block out sound really well. So much so that you can't use them and function if someone wants to talk to you sporadically. They stay put really well, better than any others I've tried. Really good for workouts, loop around ears, to give extra assurance against accidental pull out. I found myself going back to $10 Sony's for everyday use, so I can hear around them a little bit. I would buy them again, though.

5 comments about Universal Remote Control MX-850 IR/RF Aeros Remote Control.
  1. This is the second Universal Remote Control I have purchased. I originally bought the MX-800 and liked it so well, I decided to get another when I bought a new HDTV. The MX-850 is very similar but with a better "select" button. You have to be somewhat technicly inclined to set up and program the device. However, if you are willing to spend the time, you will find the control very powerful in what it can be programmed to do. It is very well made and has a good feel. These units were initially released before USB became the standard, so you will have to purchase a USB to RS232 convertor. They are not expensive and I have had no trouble using the conversion device. My MX-800 is also still in use for a second DVR/TV configuration. Both models use the same software.

  2. If you are a professional installer or plan to hire a professional installer then this might be for you.

I originally paid someone to install a home entertainment system and everything including the remote was working fine...

...until, I wanted to add a blu-ray dvd player. Getting something added to work with this remote is a major hassle. There is no online pdf available. To get the software, you have to register your remote and then wait...and wait some more until they accept your registration.

The apparent strategy of the company is to make this remote installer friendly. A regular joe is helpless with this. Therefore they gain the allegiance of installers to recommend and sell this product for them. Anyway, I had a guy out today to reprogram it, figured all of this out, and now will have to have him come back later in the week. Today is a Saturday so contacting the company was not an option as they were closed.

  3. I found the programming software easy to use. (Check to make sure the software ships with the unit or is downloadable.) Everything is laid out nicely and the customizability is fantastic! You'll need to buy a USB/RS-232 interface cable if your PC is a recent model that lacks a 90's-style serial port.

The one big gripe I have with this remote is that it guzzles batteries like a marathon runner in the Sahara. A set of four AAA's only lasts about 3-4 weeks, plus there's no low-battery warning before it stops working. When the batteries are almost gone, it will suddenly run a power-on self-test every other time you press a button. You'll definitely want a set of rechargeables for this one.

  4. I received the item within a few days. After several days of trying to get the program to download to the remote, no instructions where included, and a call to the seller, I contacted Universal directly. They told me the program was too outdated to update, so they emailed me a new program and pdf instructions. Fantastic remote. Very Easy to program. This thing can do anything. I also bought the MX 200 Sidekick today for the young one.

  5. Easy to program and very responsive. We're back to a one remote household with multiple devices to control. My favorite aspect was the ability to use my PC to set up the commands which sends them to the remote. Any future changes or additions will be a breeze.

  1. It's fantastic. I like my dogs slightly burnt. They came out perfect. You do have to watch the buns. Wait a few seconds before you put them in so they won't get burned. You can always warm the buns after cooking the hot dogs.

  2. I bought this for my mom for Christmas, she loves it! It was so inexpensive on Amazon also, at the stores it was almost twice as much. It cooks your hot dog perfectly:) No more shriveled up microwaved hot dogs!

  3. Nice product for the kids. Allows kids to make there own hot dogs. Only thing to be careful is you must use regular hot dogs and buns, no oversised or plump.

  4. Had to use skinny hot dogs or you could not get them out of the machine, holes for buns were not big enough. Unable to make a good hot dog.

  5. This is a poor performing "toaster". Even at room temperature the hot dogs take too long to cook, much longer than the buns. The buns also burn on the edges because they come in contact with metal. The top of the unit gets very hot so be sure to keep kids away from it when in use.

  1. i've recorded my meetings over and over about 10-15 times, it sounds as good as the first time.

  2. I use these frequently for notes, memos and reminders. Handy while driving. Prefer the cassettes over digital as I can hand over a tape to be edited and typed while still using the recorder, Only complaint is the lack of a large compartment to hold multiple tapes, if needed.

  3. Look, I know this isn't the most interesting product in the world. But I bought a pack of these almost 2 years ago and they're all still working just fine. I bought more only because my assistant hoards them. If you're looking for a tape that just keeps on working despite frequent use, this ought to work just fine.

  4. I rather chuckled as I leave a review. All I can say as far as tape cassettes go this is a fine product and there is no static when taping.

5 comments about Ontel's LISTEN UP, personal sound amplifier Hearing Device, as seen on TV, NEW.
  1. My husband kept seeing this on TV and wanted it every time; so I bought it for him for fun. It works great - he is hard of hearing and could hear me talk normal in while I was cooking in the kitchen and the TV was blaring - maybe no more blaring TV for me? It works great, he's quite happy with it and I'm looking forward to it being a little quieter around here :)

  2. I did not like this product. I found it to be very irritating to my ears. Whenever I attempted to touch the unit to adjust it or to reposition it, it made a lot of undesirable noise. I have discarded the device.

  3. Worthless, about what you would expect for the price. My mom decided
she wanted one of these (even though she hears better than I). No
filtering so all background noise is amplified as well, making it
of no use in most all situations.

  4. Item does what it says "amplify sounds", however it has a lot of static and picks up sounds all over the room. It is quite unsatisfactory for any use intended.

  5. Horrible, horrible product. Do not buy this junk. You can hear everything around you except for the TV. The sounds you listen to are so high, they hurt your ears. I do not recommend this at all!

5 comments about Zonet ZEW2500P - network adapter ( ZEW2500P ).
  1. I had the hardest time finding a wireless adapter that would work with my OS. It only took about five minutes to get this connected. Don't use the cd software to install, instead, go to the zonet website and install the latest driver for this card. Keeps a great signal considering i'm about 50 feet from the router but it does cut out here and there. Overal I'm very pleased with this device. I love Zonet!!

  2. The only issue I have with this product is it will drop connection from time to time. However when it has a connection, its strong and performs really well.

My best test case was using it while playing World of Warcraft. My lag would be low, but at times I would have major lag where I was unable to do anything and I took a look at the Zonet monitor and it dropped the connection, but would then reconnect.

It's possible I have a defective unit. The reason I purchased this unit was due to other user reviews saying how much they liked it. I am not sure if they were gaming while using this product, but that's why I wanted to share my experience with everyone.

  3. ....I couldn't connected to my Linux computer..... :(
....On windows works fine. nothing extraordinary

  4. The ZEW2500P is a great deal considering it is significantly cheaper than the Linksys or Netgear varieties and works for the most part. However, it transmits at 2.4GHz which conflicts with my 2.4GHz cordless phone. When the phone rings or someone is using it, the wireless connection cuts out 90% of the time. It is possible to change the broadcast frequency of the Zonet adapter so it is not 2.4GHz, but when I do this, the signal strength usually drops significantly. When the phone is not in use, the signal strength is always 4 to 5 bars from across the house.

Also, the included RaLink Configuration software is not nearly as reliable as the default Windows Zero Configuration utility for wireless connections. The Zonet RaLink Configuration software crashes often and cannot be restarted unless the computer is restarted. It also does not automatically reconnect to the same network every time, and requires the encryption key to be re-entered after each restart. The Windows utility is much more reliable and automatically reconnects every time the computer is turned on. Overall, the Zonet adapter works well if used with the Windows wireless network utility.

  5. Plug and plays, really easy to use and setup. Gets good signal and runs great. No problem yet, about to buy a second one. Definitely would recommend.
