5 comments about Apple Mini-dvi To Video Adapter.
- If you have this and a video cable it makes watching movies from you macbook easy and BIGGER. its a simple adapter for a good price. BUY IT!
- I am still bummed....I cant believe this doesnt fir the macbook pro...if the micro dvi to video is for macbook air ..what works with the macbook pro?
- This adapter is $19 at the Apple Store (add tax and shipping depending on how you buy it). From the online Apple Store:
" The Apple Mini-DVI to Video adapter is designed for use with the iMac (Intel Core Duo), MacBook, and 12-inch PowerBook G4. The adapter connects to the Mini-DVI port on these computers and provides both S-video and Composite video connectors so that you can view your computer on devices such as TVs, VCRs, or overhead projectors with S-Video or RCA (Composite) connectors. Video cables sold separately. "
Also note that you need an audio cable if you want sound out. For most TVs you would need a 3.5 mm stereo (headphone) plug for the Mac to two RCA plugs for the TV.
For an even better picture a lot of newer TVs can use an HDMI video input, which is digital. For this you would need Apple's Mini-DVI to DVI adapter, plus a DVI to HDMI cable. DVI to HDMI would essentially turn your TV into a computer monitor. You'd still need a separate audio cable. (HDMI cables can carry audio, but DVI cables don't.) Apple's Mini-DVI to DVI adapter is also $19.
- THis is exactly what every MacBook owner needs. This product is especially useful because one can connect it to both televisions with RCA and S-Video jacks.
- This adapter doesn't quite work so well-- it changes the display on the computer when you plug it in, and only has a slot for video (not audio) on the TV side...

5 comments about Monster Cable SS4 Multi-Speaker Selector.
- I searched for weeks and found the best speaker selector out there for the best price. Stop your searching and get this one! I bought this for outdoor speakers. It sounds excellent with absolutly no distortion. Very easy setup!
- I think this Monster Cable SS4 Multi-Speaker Selector is a very good product. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the weak tension-grip receivers, ...not really strong enough for heavy wire, in my opinion. If you use 14 gauge wire, it's a little tricky getting the wires in the receiving holes without unraveling the ends. Don't use this model if you plan to use heavier wire (12 gauge) unless you use other connectors. I did hook up four sets of speakers using 14 gauge wire, and sounds great. Be sure to place it in a place that doesn't move around a lot to assure good contact on those connections.
Brad
- I should have read what an earlier reviewer said. The spring loaded wire connectors in the back will not hold even moderately thick speaker wire. If you are using 18 guage or thinner (cheap) wire, this might work. If you are running thicker wire - like most higher end setups - it won't work. I use 12 gauge and 14 gauge speaker wire and couldn't even get the wires to go into the cheap connectors on the back of the unit. I return very few items, but had to return this one.
- The device was received promptly and was exactly as described. I'm very pleased with the supplier.
- I received the Monster Cable SS-4 Speaker Selector the other day and was doubtful when I first opened the package. DON'T BE !!!! This is an excellent product and is better than advertised. It was easy to install, works great, clear sound, no decrease in power. Had no problem with the speaker connections clamps, used 16 gauge wire. Shop around for best price, but would be hard to beat at any price.

5 comments about Bose UB-20 Wall/Ceiling Bracket (each) - WHITE.
- price is lower than the market ofcourse n the product is excellent...so,it was my best decision to buy it from amazon!!!!
- Because they are Bose wall mounts they do work. Getting the wires thr the walls is a pain. Also think they are way too expensive for what they are.
- First review written, I did follow the advice from a previous reviewer indicating to use 7/32" bit versus recommended 1/4" bit. Brackets went up quickly speakers mounted and enjoying surround sound. Previously used a wireless system that just wasn't getting the job done. (not Bose's wireless system). I think I had them up in less than 15 min including cleanup. Also received items 1 day sooner than expected. Thanks Amazon.
- Easy to install, look clean. Only downside is how much they stick out and that they don't cover the wire from the wall to the speaker.
- We purchased the Boose Wall Bracket at Amazone due to the great pricing. They are original Bose brackets, work great, look great and we couldn't be happier.

5 comments about Apple Only V470 White.
- This blue tooth mouse is perfect for your mac. It syncs quickly and is nearly flawless. It also looks great!
- This mouse is wonderful. Perfect for traveling or desktop. The feel of the mouse is great, with nice smooth plastic, good weight, and a smooth but responsive scroll wheel. The battery lasts for ever.
I bought this mouse to use with my two laptops (a white iBook and a VAIO PCG-TR2A), along with the Kensington K-33348 bluetooth adapter and the K-64366 slim keyboard. The combo all matches perfectly and makes me very happy. The mouse even comes with a nice travel sack that I can keep it in with the bluetooth adapter when I'm on the road.
- I've owned this mouse now for several weeks. Not long enough to comment on battery life, so far, but I can say that for a mouse its performance is decent. This is, by definition, a portable mouse so it's somewhat small. I have large hands and I was worried that this would be an issue, but it turns out that it's not too bad at all.
With that being said, I'm not certain whether all bluetooth mice seem to be jumpy, or if I've just been having lousy luck. After leaving the mouse still for about 10 seconds (or any amount of time longer) when you first move it it'll jump a bit. You'll have to do that "Ok, where's the cursor" thing for a second or two, but then you find it and it works fairly well. It does not perform well at all with the native Mac mouse driver, but once you install the Logitech software and play with the settings a bit, it tracks and scrolls much better and with an accuracy as good or better than any other bluetooth mouse I've used. I try to avoid installing unnecessary software but the Logitech Control Center makes a big difference here.
As for physical design, Logitech did a great job. It feels solid and well-built. The buttons and scroll wheel button give a nice satisfying click, with just the right amount of resistance. Of course, all the buttons are programmable. I honestly feel like I could throw it across the room and it'd come back for more - which is good since as a portable device it's intended to travel. Like I said before: the mouse is a bit small, but it's got a nice steep curve to it so it's easy to grip and I don't get cramps in my hand from trying to use it. You can tell that they definitely paid attention to ergonomics while trying to maintain portability.
Despite being all plastic, the silvery colored parts are intended to match the anodized aluminum of modern macs and their keyboards. This mouse matches my aluminum wireless keyboard perfectly. Plus, despite what the product pics show, the little light on top lights up blue - not green - to indicate a successful pairing or connection.
The only difference between this mouse and it's PC cousin is the color of the plastic, and this mouse works just fine on Windows.
This mouse may not be perfect, but I believe it's flaws are more from Bluetooth than from this mouse. I'm glad I bought it, and I'd do so again.
- Agree with the other review, that it's a bit jumpy. Almost as if it falls asleep until you move it, then it catches up. If you keep moving, it's almost good, but still a little amiss. At this point, I'd say I'm on the fence as to whether I should go back to my wired mouse and lick my wounds or mess around with the settings and see if I can get it to work properly. Up till now though, the adjustments only seem to make it sluggish more quickly, if that makes sense...
- I bought this one to replace my broken Apple Mighty Mouse. This mouse is lighter and comfortable to use. It does not have the Expose etc functions that Apple's has, but its right click button is a plus. The problem I had is that it does not work well with batteries besides Duracell supplied with the mouse. I tried three different rechargeable batteries and none of them works with this mouse. I had a problem with left click button also. It does not work right (have to push real hard to get it work). I returned it to Amazon and get an exchange. The replaced one works fine.

5 comments about Belkin Acrylic Case with Kickstand for Zune 80/120 GB (Clear).
- It was really tough to find a case for the Zune 80 that isn't a wallet type case so I felt pretty luck to find this at Amazon and to get it without waiting a month. It's nice looking case and it seems pretty rugged. A couple of things I didn't like...
- the 'hold' switch in the top left is pretty hard to access since it's so recessed once the case is on
- same problem with the headphone jack. some headphones may not fit
- It's tough to use the 'touch' feature of the control pad since the pad is now surrounded (at the top and bottom) by the case
- the front of the case that covers the screen was scratched pretty badly right out of the box
- the belt clip/stand seems to work pretty well as a stand in landscape mode but doesn't seem stable in portrait mode. Also the belt is not very securely attached to the case
- Great quality... Zune fits perfectly into the protective case and it looks great. All buttons remain easily accessible and fully functional. For anyone who wants to keep their zune scratch-free I highly recommend the case.
- I bought this case a few months ago as it was the ONLY one I could find with a clip that converted to a kickstand by rotating and pulling away from the case (therefore allowing you to watch vidoes the right way). I do love it, however the plastic scratches quite easily and therefore I am buying another one. I have searched far and wide and still cannot find another case that will meet my needs like this one does. For under 15.00, I don't mind having to replace it every 6 months or so. Possibly, there will be other options when my new one scratches up.
- I have had nothing but good things to say about Belkin. I have used them since I got my Microsoft Zune 30 GB and have had nothing but good experiences with them. This case does a great job of not only protecting your Microsoft Zune but making your case, not even look like case which is case. This may be an added bonus for some but not for others. The case itself can be difficult difficult to open. But in retrospect that is probably a good thing because I've had drop this thing on the ground outsider and it still does a great job of keeping the Zune in its case. A must have for any Microsoft Zune.
- Have to agree with most of the comments of another reviewer: hold button is difficult to access, belt clip does not hold very securely to the case, and the front of my case was already scratched when I received it in supposedly "new" condition. Since it does not impede viewing, I did not go through the hassle of returning it especially in view of this being a seemingly common occurence. I did not find the "touch" feature difficult to use though and it does seem to protect everything very well. I wish it did not have a silver front as I like the black of the Zune itself and now that cannot be seen. If the entire case was clear or black to match the Zune, I would have liked it better. It does its protective job, so for that I am thankful.

5 comments about Samsung TR72B Stand for 72-inch DLP HDTVs.
- The stand is sturdy and clean looking. Assembly was straight forward. Delivery was fast. A perfect fit for my 72" Samsung DLP. The only complaint I have is that the stand does not really fit into a corner, it is not really angled correctly. The backside corners of the stand hit the wall about 6" out from a flush mount into the corner. I am planning to cut the top shelf (that the TV stands on) to fit better, but the shelves stick out the back as well and are tempered (impossible to cut). Local glass dealers want over $300 to cut new shelves-- more than the cost of the stand shipped.
- This product is as advertised. The only downside was the packaging. There were some hidden damage to the top shelf; could be packaged a little better to avoid this problem in shipping.
- Very nice product but unfortunately one corner (1"-1.5") was damaged slightly but still I kept it
- I have a 56" DLP but i also have speakers that I wanted to put near the TV without bothering with speaker stands and exposed wiring. I bought this stand because I figured I could put the left/right channel next to the screen. It sits perfectly without bowing after a month of use and looks really nice i think.
I used my free trial of amazon prime to get this product shipped overnight for free (usually $250+). No damage, easy to assemble, & unbeatable delivery time.
- Bought it, took around 45 minutes to put it together.
great for my 67" DLP.
great buy!

5 comments about PORTABLE CLASS T DIG AMP.
- Shares the same strong battery life, quality, and amazing output capabilities of it's predecessor. Packaged in a more compact and uniform enclosure.
If you are not familiar with the Sonic T amps, these little buggers will put out an honest 10-15 watts into 4 ohms (less on battery, more on AC) with crystal clear sound quality, and amazing (really) 12+ hour battery life running off 8 AA batteries. For spec junkies 10-15 watts of real, clean output is more than enough for just about any audio task short of thumping bass. Consider most car stereos have less or similar output levels.
I use these amps to power small portable speaker boxes with 2 6.5" car speakers in them. It makes for portable solution that plays loud enough for a large outside gathering, with good enough sound quality for all day listening, and the amazing battery life to boot. People are always amazed it is possible.
Alternate uses include pairing up with a decent set of bookshelf speakers to make a PC speaker system that will put all others to shame, or having basically a portable amp for ipods, laptops, or speaker testing.
Unfortunately (or fortunately for some) it also comes packed with adapter cables and an AC adapter now. The AC adapter, especially, is a costly item to purchase on it's own and it makes sense why it was bundled. But many people have or don't need these pack-ins and I would have preferred to have the option of a lower purchase price without them. I suspect the problem is that if you price out a 1 amp AC adapter and RCA splitters, you can end up with a $25 tab pretty easily. So Sonic has done most people a service / savings by packing them in and raising the base price.
It's an expensive product that remains in a class by itself. If you need it, you pretty much have to buy it.
- This successor to the original T-Amp now costs about twice as much, but comes with an AC adapter and adapter cables which easily makes up for it, especially if you consider that this updated version has a much nicer-looking case and volume knob. My only gripe is that you are still stuck with those annoying spring-clip speaker connections instead of having real binding posts, but oh well, it's still an excellent value and at this pricepoint has no peers.
I bought one of these for my nephew, along with a cheap pair of bookshelf speakers (Polk Monitor 30s for about a hundred bucks), and hooked it up to his computer since like most kids nowadays he mainly listens to MP3s (sigh!). It's still heads and shoulders far better sounding a combination than any 2.0 or 2.1 computer speakers, and has plenty of power for his small bedroom.
A little word about power ratings. Sonic Impact lists this baby thusly: *Power output: 2 x 9 watts (4 ohms @ 0.04% THD + N), 2 x 15 watts (4 ohms @ 10% THD + N), 2 x 10 watts (8 ohms @ 10% THD+N).
First, ignore the 4 ohms specs since only car speakers are 4 ohms, the vast majority of home speakers are 8 ohms. Second, notice the THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) numbers. You do NOT want to listen to music at 10% THD, that's going to sound very distorted, like a boombox cranked up too high. So seeing as how with a 4 ohm load this amp does 15 wpc at 10% THD and drops down to 9 wpc at 0.04% THD, we can safely assume that using the same proportion we will get 6 clean watts per channel for an 8 ohm load at 0.04% THD.
Now, perhaps 6 watts per channel sounds ridiculously paltry in light of how most traditional mass-market receivers and amps claim to run at around 100 watts per channel. You'd assume that this means this T-Amp therefore must be a pathetic weakling barely capable of putting out higher volumes than a whisper, right? WRONG.
Firstly, remember that all watts-per-channel specs especially those by mass-market makes like Sony, Onkyo, Pioneer, Yamaha, etc. tend to be grossly exaggerated purely for marketing reasons. An alleged "100 wpc" Sony receiver may in reality only put out about 35wpc! Marantz and Harman Kardon are the only large manufacturers that have honest power specs, along with smaller audiophile brands like NAD, Rotel, etc.
Secondly, in terms of actual volume, watts per channel have a LOGARITHMIC not PROPORTIONAL relation---meaning that a true "100 wpc" amp is NOT twice as loud as a "50 wpc" amp! The actual difference in volume is just 3 decibels, in fact! Which means that a true "100 wpc" amp will only give you say 6-8 decibels more volume than this humble little T-Amp!
Now where the 100 wpc amp has the advantage is that it will be able to power larger speakers with lower sensitivity and lower impedance much better: louder and cleaner. However with the typical inexpensive 8 ohm, 88-91 db sensitivity speaker, that 100wpc amp will not be dramatically more powerful than this little 6 wpc T-Amp, unless you are the type who truly blasts music to wall-shaking volumes, say at 85-100db. The T-Amp will be plenty adequate for normal, comfortable but room-filling volumes of 70-80db which is where most people listen most of the time anyway.
Now if you ARE one of those music-blasters, you can still be very happy with the T-Amp if you pair it with some high-sensitivity speakers, such as Klipsch speakers that have 95 or higher sensitivity.
The reason this T-Amp is such a spectacular value is because at typical 70-80db listening levels, it offers a sound quality that used to be available only from big, heavy traditional amplifiers that cost around $1000 and up: wide soundstage, crystalline clarity and detail without harshness or brightness, shockingly quick tight bass, and best of all, a nice full midrange. Do a Google search for "Sonic Impact T-Amp" and read all the rave reviews from audiophile websites like 6moons.
I personally own the Trends Audio T-Amp which costs about a hundred fifty but has nicer features like real binding posts and (in my opinion) a more refined sound, and there other more expensive T-Amps which use the same technology but offer a little more power or better build quality and features. But as a great basic starter amp at sixty bucks, this Sonic Impact still has no rival.
- I'm using this thing to drive a pair of 6 Ohm JVC speakers (each with a 6 inch woofer, a midrange and a tweeter) left over from a dead bookshelf system. This setup is located in my bedroom. I listen to classic rock, 80's, classical, and religious music. For these genre at moderate volume the music is warm and full (supposedly it mimics a tube amp sound). The source music is from an iPod (playing 192 to 256 bit rate MP3 and AAC files) connected via the line out on an iPod dock. There is plenty of power to drive these bookshelf speakers without any distortion. I'm not an audiophile, but my ears have no complaints. It is as good as everyone says. Well worth the price!
- This little thing is a hunk of junk, until you plug it in, hook it up, and it blooms into the most amazing audio value you can imagine. I use it to power 4 ORB speakers from a wireless airport express. This thing is small, uses barely any power, is cool, and sounds great, and can drive my speakers louder than I want to listen to them.
Sure, it is cheaply made, but it sounds great, and is a wonderful value. The only thing I'd change; real speaker wire posts instead of the little spring clips. I'd pay the $2 more it would cost the manufacturer.
- i was tempted by the compactness and affordability - although the price has nearly doubled since my purchase..the IC must cost a few bucks in quantity.
it is a RF noise hell! all the weaker stations on the FM dial turn to static when this amp is plugged in, which defeated the entire purpose of buying it. switching to a high grade linear transformer coil and ditching the switching PSU it came with did not help
i ended up getting a 70s shortwave radio which has an inbuilt 12-watt amplifier. and a PC card which has a 350mW amp which actually is plenty for larger bookshelf-sized speakers. neither create any noise besides the noise i want!

5 comments about Behrhinger High-Definition DJ Headphones HPX2000.
- I bought these for my son for Christmas and he loves them. The only down fall is when he plugs them into his IPOD, everyone can hear the music, no matter what the volume of the music is. They do not muffle the sound much.
- hmmm, its okey but the quality is not that good once you take a look closely you could tell that is made from china specialy the silver coted plastic it seems that is easy to brake , about the sound fair enough it has its highs mids but the lows are not that deep or outstanding, it really has a good looks and for 20.00 plus shipping you will get what you payed for, its better than what you can get at that the same price like the koss or even sony headphones that you can get at walmart or fry's elec... im just a little bit dissapointed because the xm8500 ultravoice microphone really stands up... for that same price... im not a dj but i uses this headphone for quite mode because i also have the pmp2000 that i cant use at night time, and if you wanna see that video review for the pmp2000 and v-amp2 modeling effects you can check out my videos on youtube just type okeylang47 on the search tab thank you...
- they really don't block out enough sound to use for DJ'ing. but if you are looking for some loud headphones for normal everyday use, these are great.
but DJ's, don't get them they could barely even be considered entry level.
- Very Mediocre headphones.....invest in a Sony MDRV700 instead, they're bit pricey, but worth it
On the plus side, the audio fidelity is good, but i think they're bit weak on the bass
- After a lot of speculation and a lot of testing headphones, the HPX2000 is by far THE BEST set of stereo headphones under 25 bucks. Seriously you cannot even compare the quality of these bad boys with any other pair of headphones that are priced even at 75 bucks. These headphones are just amazing. Amazing quality, crystal clear sound and great for laptops and mp3 players. These are perfect for plane rides, and can maybe even be used while lawnmowing as well. I always take these on the plane and listen to mp3 player and they do just fine. Obviously nothing beats Bose but if you dont want to waste the money, you will be glad you got these. 2 thumbs up!

5 comments about Samsung TR-500X3BX Adjustable 50-, 56- and 61-Inch DLP TV Stand.
- Neat design. You can vary the width of the unit and the glass ledges are designed in such a way that they look fine with any width. It is a bit complicated to put together but is worth the effort - just follow the directions
- First let me talk about the stand it self. After the horror of receiving it in the condition it was in (see attached photo showing how I received it), it was fairly easily put together by a professional I hired (see why farther down) The stand itself is very stable for my 61 inch Samsong TV.
As Paul Harvey would say now the rest of the story:
When I first ordered the stand I also ordered a 61 in TV and a 5yr. warranty. This was a $2,000 plus purchase. The guy that took my order told me that this was a white glove delivery, which meant that everything would be put together and placed where I wanted it. At this time I explained that I was handicapped and would not be able to assemble the stand. He assured me that this would not be a problem, that because this was a white glove delivery. This was not the case I found out later that the items were coming separately and the stand would not be assembled. The stand arrived in a box that looked like it had been dragged behind the truck instead of in it.
I called Amazon and they only offered to replace it, since the man I hired to assemble it was here I had no choice but to let him assemble it or pay him for a service call and wait another 2 weeks for a stand that might not be in any better condition. I opted to let him put it together. The stand is very functional put has scratches and dents on it.
Amazon couldn't care less, a very nasty cold fish of a costumer
relations rep. Offered me a 20% discount which I had to accept, because I had run out of options. Shame on you AMAZON Shame on you.
Let the buyer beware.
- When you assemble this for the 61" TV, the glass shelves are short of each side by about 5", so the stand is not as sturdy as it might be when put together for the smaller TVs. I found it to be quite unsteady on carpet, so much so that I felt I HAD to strap the TV to the wall.
Also, the glass shelves come out farther than the wood like frame, so if you have children, it creates a safety concern. There is nothing protecting that extended glass.
The stand does look very nice with the black TV and it was fairly easy to assemble, it took me about 20 minutes do due alone (and I'm an old lady :-(.
- this is a nice looking stand but
it is the best when used in the
smallest configuration.
- The instructions need to be a little more specific about lining up the pieces for the different size TV's. Other than that, very pleased with the stand. Matches the Samsung 61" perfectly.

4 comments about Sony Electronic Book Leather Cover (Black).
- This is a very nice cover, it looks like a book and isint as cheap/gaudy as the case that comes with the PRS-505. The inside is soft hide so it doesent damage the reader. The pockets in the back are nice as well.
- Even though I have thought that I had read a lot of reviews about the Reader I thought that it would come with no cover at all. This is why I purchased this cover. It turns out that the reader gets shipped with a cover though.
This cover is a little better than the one that was shipped with the reader. There is a little pack on the back and the inside is made of some nice material (felt if I am not mistaken) and it has some magnets on the corners, so that it clings more to the reader when closed, but my biggest grief with it is that you can't really clap it back, like you would do with the cover of a magazine or a thin book.
For a slightly better version of an item that u'll be getting with the reader itself, the price is not justified.
If you lost or damaged your cover, then this one will serve you well.
Im not giving more than 3 stars to this item, as one, who buys the reader doesn't really need this cover to start with and also because of the fact that you can fold it back...
- I thought this was a third party offering but it's not. If I had realized it was made by Sony, I wouldn't have bought it - based on the crappy tan colored cover that came with my PRS-505.
This one is black leather with only a slightly softer feel than the original hard tan cover. The inside is lined with a soft felt material and there's a small pocket in the back which is big enough to maybe hold a passport - that's all. But this cover is still NOT padded.
Is it worth the money? I don't think so... but I really needed it... so I'll keep it only because I hated the tan cover...:-)
- I didn't like the cheap plastic cover that came with the PRS-505. I prefer leather. So I bought the pink. It was ok but looked kind of tacky -- too "pink". So I bought the black. It is not sewn properly and the front it buckled. The inside is supposed to look like leather suede but it is obvious that it is just a cheap microfiber. As another reviewer has observed, it is not padded -- while the non-padded cover has "cleaner" lines, it is not as satisfying from a tactile perspective.
While the leather cover is still nicer than the one included with the reader, it is not worth $40.00 and should be much nicer given the expense of the e-Reader.
I noticed over on the Sony eReader site, they were selling a Dooney Bourke cover for awhile. However, they said that is no longer available... maybe you can find it on eBay. I haven't seen it in person but figure it has to be better than this one.
