2 comments about The Crystal Prison (Deptford Mice Trilogy, Book 2).
- The Crystal Prison is a far more enhanced versoin of the Redwall Saga with it's talking maice and animals. Even though it lack's Redwall's stunning fantasies, the Debtford Mice Trilogy sets a pretty fine point for a new author. It's simply wonderful with its great details and great plotline. I'd give it five stars if it wasn't for its confusing characters.
I started reading The Crystal Prison just like any other person would start: I would handpick it from the library or buy it. Usually, I'd check the cover art, as the phrase " never judge a book by it's cover" felt like the words of a dull critic. Nevertheless, I read this book and found it was pretty interesting, given its bizarre lines of characters. The beginning is fairly simple, it starts off with the ending of Robin Jarvis' (the author) first novel. The Debtford mice have escaped the chamber of Jupiter and the rat infested sewers of the city. Forced by an evil witch named Starwife, they must move to the countryside. But despite an owl who hunts in the night, the countrymice that live in the plains have nought to do but to point their fingers at a young, outspoken female mouse named Audrey. What's left is a wilder conclusion you'd never believe!
- This book is just great. It's stunning and crystal clear and I loved it. I can't wait to read Book 3 next! Make a mental note to yourself...Tell yourself to read this book immediatedly!

5 comments about Clifford's Thanksgiving Visit (Clifford).
- Both my sons are huge Clifford fans, and this is their favorite of all the Clifford books. I think it's because it might be the only one with a train scene---they are even bigger train fans than Clifford fans! This book also has a picture with a thought bubble inside a thought bubble, which started a good conversation on points of view---how someone can be thinking about someone thinking about them! More of a philosophical idea than you would think you would get from a Clifford book!
- i think it is sweet on how the author wrote this book i mean it was really nice on how clifford went to visit his mom!!
- This book was about a big red dog named Clifford whose owners go away during thanksgiving. So he decides to go visit his mom who lives not too far away. While on his way there he encounters some challenges like traffic, a bridge while it is beginning to go up, a train, and a parade. The lesson of this book is that family is important and that you need to be thankful. The age level of this book is about 5-7. I thought this book was good because it will teach kids what thanksgiving is really about.
- I really enjoyed reading this book via video from Iraq to my son. My parents said that he watched the video of me reading this book over and over. He really likes the book, of course because of Clifford, but most especially because I read it to him. I think if you read to your child, they'll learn more and have priceless memories. And what better way to spend time reading, than with a book with characters they love about topics such as Thanksgiving, and sharing our family traditions with our children.
- Although I do have slight qualms about the dangerous things Clifford does (like cause traffic accidents and come face-to-face with a subway train), this is the best Thanksgiving book I've found. It isn't flat or preachy; it doesn't glorify historic events with inaccurate romanticism.
When Emily Elizabeth goes away for Thanksgiving, Clifford decides to visit his mom in the city. On the way he has adventures and even passes by the life-sized Clifford balloon in the Macy's parade! After visiting his mom, he's happy to be reunited with Emily Elizabeth.
This book features Thanksgiving as most of us would like it to be--full of food, friends, family, and fun!

3 comments about Five Silly Turkeys.
- I bought this book on sale and planned to save it for Thanksgiving. My five month old son loved it so it is one we read a lot now. This board book has five "feathers" that make that crinkle sound babies love. I didn't give it five stars because ideally it would have a better coating around the feathers to protect it a little more from all the chewing it is forced to endure.
- What a sweet little counting book for Thanksgiving! The fabric tail feathers make it a "must touch" book for children.
- I bought this for my daughter's first Thanksgiving. She loved it. The feathers are great for her to pull and chew on. This story is a cute, fun little ditty.

1 comments about Biscuit Is Thankful (Biscuit).
- Biscuit is back. This time he tells us all the things he is thankful for. He's thankfulk for all the things he needs like his bed, biscuits, and bone. He is also thankful his friends. They mean a lot to him. This is great story of friendship to be shared with young children all year long.
Each page only has several sentences, all which engage the reader/listener in the story. The book is made of study board pages. This makes it a great preschool storybook. I would recommend this book to others. Babies and toddlers will love the "woof" "woof" sounds and the repetitiveness. This is one of a series of other Biscuit books. If they enjoy this one they will look for others by the same author.

5 comments about Thanks for Nothing (From the Files of Madison Finn, Book 5).
- i luv this book because it was bout Madison helping out at the animal clinit and she did have alot of fun during her everytime visit. =P Was having a little mad times when Egg's was late for the extra-credits project that the teacher assign they were partners, but the end it turned out FINE.I also likes this book because it was the first book i got and then i started to like reading Madison Finn! =D
- This is the fifth book in the series, "Thanks for Nothing". I woud say out of the first 5 books, this one was the best. Madison is really upset because she isn't going to have Thanksgiving with her whole family anymore. Her gramma has a hip problem and her aunt and uncle are going to take care of her. Madison's Mom and Dad are divorced and she can't spend Thanksgiving with both of them. So its either her and Mom or her, Dad, and Stephanie. But when Madison makes a decision, she gets a big surprise and decides to do the original plan. Wanna know who she picks? Read the book! While all of this is happening, Madison decides to help out an Far Hills Animal Clinic and Shelter, where she meets a school friend who is also a volunteer. She also meets a very nice dog, but there is a surprise with the dog, too. Wanna know what happens? Read the book! As if all of this wasn't enough, Madison and Egg are paired up for a social studies project and they are having problems working together. But even though the first two surprises were bad, a surprise about the project is good! To find out what the surprises are and to read a fantastic book, get a copy of "Thanks for Nothing" today!
- I would totally hate having to choose between my mom and dad on Thanksgiving. Oh wait, I already do! I do think that volunteering at the animal shelter did help matters. Except I don't know how you can relieve stress when picking up dog poop! The problem is that next year, she'll have to do it all over again!
- Madison Finn has so much on her plate!!! She is trying to do a social studies project with her friend Egg, and her new job is fun but takes time. What will hapeen to Madison in the fifth book????
- I had really enjoyed this book. I had read some of the other books of Madison Finn, but this is nessisarily one of my favorites so far. I would recomend this book for 4th to 5th graders
