2 comments about The Turkey Who Came to Dinner (Rugrats).
- I use to watch Rugrats as a kid and I loved but the book is much better. I had a great time reading this book. Once again we join the Rugrats only this day is special its thanks giving. But when but when grandpa wins a live turkey and tries to eat it turns this happy day into a not so happy day. It is a great book I suggest it for your kids all the way. The book revolves around teaching kids the true meaning thanks giving. Its really quite educational for your kids and it talks about native Americans.
- "The Turkey Who came to Dinner," is from the cartoon show on Nickelodeon. It is about Thanksgiving and how a lot of things go wrong. For one Grandpa Lou orders a live turkey. Well the turkey comes before all the women are back from shopping. While Tommy and the rest of the children find the turkey. Then they realize that they are supposed to eat the turkey instead of having a new friend. So they figure it is a bird and try to get the turkey to fly away. They try all sorts of ways to get him to fly away. But they don't work. So find out what happens and read this book. I think this book is a book for ages 4 to around 10. The lesson the book teaches, is make sure u don't take things like friends and family for granted.

- I loved, loved, loved this book. It really captured what it was like for me, a third generation Japanese American, growing up with "Ba-chan" who didn't speak much English. I was amazed at the way this simple story could make me feel so choked up and miss my own grandmother who died over 15 years ago. Please get the author to write more books like this one. I bought copies for all my grandchildren and all my friends' grandkids, too. It's a beautiful book--very Japanese American.
