1 comments about Thanksgiving at Our House.
- It's a cute book about Thanksgiving, in rhymes, and a little boy says what he's thankful for (which is his family and friends).

1 comments about The Final Reckoning (The Deptford Mice, Book 3).
- The third book in the Depford Mice series is amazingly well-written, and a definate page-turner. There is action, adventure, fantasy, and even some romance in it. I dropped a star because of the constant character-to-character jumps, and the slightly hard-to-follow plotline. Otherwise, thsi is a must-read series that rivals the Redwall and Warriors series.

1 comments about The Memory Cupboard: A Thanksgiving Story.
- Perfect for anyone struggling with that difficult, clumsy stage between childhood and adolescence. Beautifully illustrated and delicately didactic, a gentle grandmother assures her granddaughter that we all make mistakes. If you like Elizabeth Koda-Callan's "Magic Charm Books," you will love "The Memory Cupboard." A warm tale any time of the year, but especially poignant during the holiday season, I would recommend for read aloud to elementary age children.

2 comments about The Turkey Who Came to Dinner (Rugrats).
- I use to watch Rugrats as a kid and I loved but the book is much better. I had a great time reading this book. Once again we join the Rugrats only this day is special its thanks giving. But when but when grandpa wins a live turkey and tries to eat it turns this happy day into a not so happy day. It is a great book I suggest it for your kids all the way. The book revolves around teaching kids the true meaning thanks giving. Its really quite educational for your kids and it talks about native Americans.
- "The Turkey Who came to Dinner," is from the cartoon show on Nickelodeon. It is about Thanksgiving and how a lot of things go wrong. For one Grandpa Lou orders a live turkey. Well the turkey comes before all the women are back from shopping. While Tommy and the rest of the children find the turkey. Then they realize that they are supposed to eat the turkey instead of having a new friend. So they figure it is a bird and try to get the turkey to fly away. They try all sorts of ways to get him to fly away. But they don't work. So find out what happens and read this book. I think this book is a book for ages 4 to around 10. The lesson the book teaches, is make sure u don't take things like friends and family for granted.

1 comments about Pilgrims Of Plymouth.
- I use this book in my second grade class to introduce Thanksgiving and our study of the Pilgrims and Wampanoag people. The book is published by National Geographic and has stunning photographs taken at the Plimouth Living History Museum. It has simple text (great for 1-3) and gives a nice overview of pilgrim life. My students find this book fascinating... they're intrigued by the pictures and descriptions of a life so different from theirs. One caveat: if you're looking for a book about the "First Thanksgiving" this is not it. Its primary focus is on everyday pilgrim life. Try 1621: A New Look at Thanksgiving, instead.
