1. I purchased three copies to give as gifts and the recepients, parents and children alike, were delighted! Jacob & His Magical Flying Bears is the heartwarming story of a child wishing for his famly to be together for Christmas which is so relavent in today's world. The illustrations truly help to bring the characters to life! This is a wonderful story for parents and children to read together!



2. I plan to send this book to my Goddaughter, and her brother. Although the book is for children, children of all ages will find this a beautiful book with a special message. Jacob has a very special birthday - it is on December 25! Another special person's birthday! Jacob has been sick, so he is very upset he cannot tell Santa at the Mall his special gift request...his Mom says for Jacob to write Santa a letter, but he feels he needs to talk man to man - that night, Mom tucks Jacob into bed, and turns on his favorite mobile, dancing bears that fly all around and help him fall asleep....But tonight, they have a special thing to do, they want to help Jacob get his gift request to Santa!! And so starts a charming story of what Jacob truly wants - and what we all want - and so sweetly written - with illustrations that match the sweet prose.
   A beautiful Christmas gift - a beautiful story any time, and it will touch your heart.....

1. My 17-month old really likes the song "Itsy Bitsy Spider", so when I saw this book on Amazon that had the tune, I bought it.
   
   It is pretty good, the pictures are acceptable. Each page has one line of the song (only the main verse, not the extended songs you see here and there).
   
   The only things I wish were different:
   
   1. The button is a little hard to push. It takes more pressure than I would like. My daughter can still handle it, but it takes a bit more effort from her than I expected.
   
   2. The song playback itself is a bit fast. My expectation of the song is a little slower tempo. It does run through the song twice, though.

1. This book has a cute design and offers a great concept. I purchased it on Amazon through a private seller. It was listed in "very good condition". It arrived in tact actually book itself was in good shape, but the sund button didn't work. also I received a shipping notice with the book saying the sound button didn't work. I felt that this was not appropriate as the condition of the book was listed as "very good" and it was after all a "sing along story book. It should have been listed as "acceptable". The seller was prompt to issue a refund and promp to respond to my problem. I have received the refund of the product but not yet the shipping refund.

1. This book brought me great joy as I read it and saw so many similiarities to my own childhood, with a Greek immigrant grandmother and first generation Greek-American mother. The reading level is 4-6 grade I would say, but as a 49 year old home-school mother, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I even passed it on to my 82 year old mother to read. My 13 year old daughter also enjoyed it and found many things she could relate to. We donated copies of 2 of Ms. Papandrew's books to our local library in Newport NH where we have a significant Greek American population. Thank you Karen P. !

By associating events and particular items with months, young readers can better understand the sequence of holidays and the months in which they fall. In the case of my son, he really enjoys the finale', "Surprise! Happy Birthday, Word Bird!" The pictures make learning new vocabulary easy, too.
