5 comments about Baby Looney Tunes' Eggs-Traordinary Adventure.
- These cartoons are truly sickening.
Why must they spoil the greatest cartoon characters ever made and make them cute little babies? It's awful. They've destroyed every single character... from Bugs Bunny to Petunia Pig.
All the characters are annoying, but the two very worst (in my opinion) are Sylvester and Tweety. Tweety is huge. He is almost as tall as Sylvester. And for the record, Tweety is a male bird. And Sylvester is a big wimp who DOESN'T TRY TO EAT TWEETY! INSTEAD HE IS ONE OF TWEETY'S FRIENDS! I shudder even thinking about it.
The animation has absolutely no spirit. The characters are all turned 'cute' and they move slowly, with not even the slightest hint of squash and stretch.
And worst of all, the characters teach kids not to lie and it's mean to make fun of others. This is very comical, Considering all the things that they do in the original cartoons. Such as, Daffy gambling his money away, Bugs shooting a guy in the audience for coughing, Taz attempting to eat Bugs Bunny, numerous times, Sylvester telling Tweety to hide in his mouth, Granny whopping Sylvester with her umbrella and Tweety beating up a bumble bee and stuffing it in a horse costume so the two cats inside will be stung.
In all fairness, this show itself wouldn't be so bad were it not the Looney Tunes characters. It still wouldn't be good, mind you, but not terrible.
It's sad to see classic cartoons ruined like this. Watch DUCK DODGERS instead.
- People NEED to lighten up!!! My 20 month old daughter LOVES this show. It is a harmless, lovely cartoon that lights up my baby's face when it comes on. She loves her "Tooney Tunes' as she would say.
- My a lot younger sister is addicted to Baby Looney tunes. So when comparing all the kid shows, this one is definitely the dumbest. Some actually have reason, and some are actually pretty good, like Thomas the train, or some of the cartoon network shows. But one, Baby Looney tunes, a slow-paced show for very young kids, ruins and disgraces, some of Chuck Jones and Bob Clapton's classic characters. It is so idiotic, I can't listen to it, which happens because my sister puts it on so loud. Granny walks like a "hunchbutt" Tweety sounds like a girl. The characters have no clue, and it's even on Boomerang's cartoons without a clue, and in a lot of ways. The stupid writers and directors(Warner Bros.) must've made this while sleeping. Trying to make Bugs Bunny look like a cute little bunny. Just program when he said "What up Doc."
Then Granny does her stupid gardening and baking like all other grannies. This is so not educational. When do Bunny's have brownies.
Definitely do not buy this.
Unless you have a child or sister like mine, who is really crazy and weird. I feel so sorry for her now.
Last but not least the music on this DVD and show. It's terrible, annoying, and is so repetitive. Every part of this show is annoying. When I was younger it was even hard for me to watch.
It stinks, it's horrible. People, this is classic cartoons at it's worst.
Tom chasing Jerry, a classic, Yosemitie Sam looking for some ole' rabbit, a classic, our first great talking cartoon, that should forever be remembered but now a little baby's cartoon of cute blissful made up cartoon character's a disgrace, and already been airing for over 15 years. Warner bros. should stop trying to attract kids, and let the greatest cartoon characters ever live on. Not make them foolish.
- Baby Looney Tunes is a cute show that children and parents alike can't help but like. This dvd is a great addition to any collection.
- Our 2-1/2 yr old LOVES this movie. And, it has many good lessons for toddlers. The bonus movies, music videos, etc., are also a hit.

- This is a wonderful DVD with the option of playing Christmas Carols, a yule log that you can set on your tv with sound effects of a burning fireplace or music with the yule log. I enjoyed this dvd very much, since I do not have a fireplace, it is a great video substitute. The DVD also tells the story of Jesus birth and Scenes from the Holy land. A nice inspiration to get into the "Christmas Spirit!"

5 comments about Classic Christmas Cartoons.
- The toons in this set are not classics because they are so great, but rather because of the fact they are vintage toons from the golden age of animation of the 30's and 40's before studios started making the animation cheaper with less frames.
Jack Frost is an Ub Iwerks toon from 1934. Jack Frost arrives in the forest, painting the leaves on the trees and warning the animals to prepare for the winter. An inquisitive young grizzly bear decides he wants to see what the world looks like when everyone else is hibernating. When Old Man Winter catches him unawares, however, he needs Jack Frost's help in getting back home to his warm bed.
Santa's Surprise (1947) features the first appearance of Little Audrey. Little Audrey and some other kids stow away inside Santa's sleigh. While Santa sleeps, the kids decide to give him a Christmas present of his own
"Somewhere in Dreamland" 1936 is a Fleischer studios toon. It's the story of two poor children who are out collecting firewood when they pass by a toy store, market and finally a bakery. They drool over the wares in the bakery window but walk away before the owner can come out and present them with two cupcakes. The kids go home and eat a meager supper before going to bed. They both dream they are in dreamland, where everything is free--cookies, candy, cakes, popcorn and toys. When they wake up it's all gone but the three merchants have stopped by to lay out a huge feast for them.
"Chrismas Comes But Once a year" Fleisher from 1936. A group of lonely kids are given broken toys, leaving these sad youngsters without a Merry Christmas. Professor Grampy, sees the unhappy kids. The brilliant inventor puts on his thinking cap to find a solution this problem. He heads into the orphanage and creates a series of homemade toys from kitchen utensils. Then he decorates the main room with soap chips, cotton and other items, creating a Santa suit from red cloth, stovepipes and a red bag. He rings a dinner bell and calls the kids in. The kids, seeing Grampy as Santa, rush in happily. They play with their new and better toys.
"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" Fleischer 1944. The Fleischer version of the classic tale.
"Hector's hectic Life" Paramount 1948. On Christmas Eve, Prince the dog's owner threatens to throw him out if he causes any more trouble. Just then, a basket arrives on the doorstep containing three puppies that look suspiciously like Prince. The puppies proceed to trash the house while Prince desperately tries to conceal the damage from his owner.
"Snow Foolin'" Paramount 1949 Singalong about the first day of winter, when all the animals go ice skating. It is December 21, and the animals in the forest must contend with a literal avalanche of snow. Winter is not all that bad, though. After donning their winter coats, they will be able to enjoy themselves skiing, skating on a frozen lake, and tossing snowballs. In just a few days, one and all will be singing "Jingle Bells."
Wonderful collection for its historical value.
- I watched this cartoon as a child. While visiting my parents house recently, I discovered that my mother had trown out my prized vhs copy of grampy's christmas. I thought that it might not be available anymore and that i would have to search used vhs in media stores and flea markets. but no, amazon came to the rescue. Purchase and shipping justified by the additional shorts included on the dvd.
- It is really wonderful to be able to watch older cartoons. It reminds me of a time when values mattered.
- My father recorded these classic cartoons for me on VHS when I was little. Now I'm a mom and I wanted to show the cartoons to my son this past christmas but the VHS no longer worked. I was so excited when I came across this DVD which contains the majority of the cartoons on the VHS!
- An hour of nostalgia and family fun with 7 timeless holiday cartoons. Packed with classic animation and unforgettable stories, this is the one Christmas cartoon collection you'll cherish throughout the years! The Classic Christmas Cartoons including Christmas Comes But Once A Year, Jack Frost, Rudolph, The Red-Nose Reindeer, Somewhere In Dreamland, Santa's Surprise, Hector's Hectic Life and Snow Foolin'.

5 comments about Tom and Jerry - Paws for a Holiday.
- This is flat-out false advertising on part of the producers of this DVD. It has NOTHING to do with Christmas or the holiday season at all, despite the cover graphics showing Christmas tree lights, holly, etc. Some idiot who obviously feels that a few cartoons which partly include skating or snow in them makes this a "Christmas" cartoon ought to be fired. Most of the cartoons on the DVD don't even have that.
I got ripped off purchasing this DVD believing what the cover represented would be the content of the material. Don't make the same mistake and avoid this DVD or video!!
- I wish I coud give this DVD the rating of no stars that it richly deserves. What a waste of money! With all of the quality cartoons from the 1940's and 1950's that are available in the studio archives, I do not understand why the cynical empty suits at Warner Brothers would choose a collection from a period when the animation and story lines were at their absolute lowest point in terms of quality.
The only semi-quality offering on this DVD is Mice Follies from 1954, which was duplicated on another recent DVD titled Tom and Jerry's Greatest Chases.
- If I could give it a negative star I would. This DVD has absoulutely NOTHING to do with Christmas and is blatant false advertising. Even the Tom & Jerry classic "Night Before Chirstmas" is not included which should have been an obvious choice for a "Christmas" DVD. Obviously, this is another example of MGM ripping their customers off. I am amazed that they can get away with this stuff. Luckily I was able to return mine to Walmart and get my money back. Save yourself the time and don't even bother getting it in the first place.
- In terms of a Christmas DVD, this is completely useless. It doesn't even contain the 1941 classic "The Night Before Christmas." I can't think of any other reason why it was not included other than the cartoon containing traditional Christian Christmas carols, which is a terrible reason to withhold a cartoon from a Christmas-themed DVD. The cartoons that are included also don't have much to do with Christmas either; only two of the seven cartoons included have snow, ice, or winter themes.
However, this DVD is useful for a different reason. This is the first DVD of classic Tom and Jerry cartoons that is totally uncut and in original aspect ratio. And it also contains some less popular but still classic Gene Deitch and Chuck Jones produced shorts from the 1960s. The Hanna-Barbera cartoons, of which there are two on this collection, are all being released eventually in big collector's edition sets in the future. Warner Brothers does not have any publicly-known plans to release the 1961-1967 cartoons, though, and this may be the only way to see a few of them logo-free on a completely uncut collection. This DVD is also significant because it is the first time a Gene Deitch produced cartoon (in this case, "The Tom and Jerry Cartoon Kit") has been released on home video in the USA. The Gene Deitch cartoons (made 1961-1962) are rather hard to find logo-free, unless you have easy access to Japanese laserdiscs. As a Christmas DVD, it's almost completely useless, but if you have a different interest (like seeing a Gene Deitch cartoon logo-free), this DVD isn't totally worthless. I would, however, only recommend it if you can find it at a very cheap price.
- Never mind what the other reviews say, some episodes on this DVD don't feature any snow because it's that it's supposed to be a collection of 7 seasonal episodes. The episodes on this disc are...
1.)Mice Follies(This episode doesn't exactly take place in winter but it does feature ice skating.)
2.)Desings On Jerry
3.)The Tom And Jerry Cartoon Kit(My favorite cartoon by William L. Snyder because usually the rest of his cartoons are bad.)
4.)Snowbody Loves Me(Oh,yeah...the DVD continues with my favorite producer,Chuck Jones!)
5.)I'm Just Wild About Jerry
6.)The A-Tom-Inable Snowman
7.)Advance And Be Mechinized
But if you like Mice Follies but don't want it on this DVD,then buy Tom And Jerry's Greatest Chases(another DVD including the same episode.) But if you love Chuck Joones and your favorite Tom And Jerry cartoon from the Gene Deitch years is "The Tom And Jerry Cartoon Kit",than than this the disc just for you. So good-luck.

5 comments about Perry Como - Christmas In Ireland.
- If you love Perry Como, you must have this DVD. It's the best and probably his last Christmas Show. Thank goodness for this technology or a wonderful talent would be gone forever.
- I never received this product. What I did receive was a movie called "Mr. Johnson" although the box and label on the DVD were correct. Bad, Bad, Bad....thank you
- this was great, he really puts on a good show, good quality dvd. beautiful songs. shipped as promised.
- This is a wonderful dvd, como at his best. The Irish really know how to put it together. fantastic presentation
- ln hindsight, l wish l'd have bought the video of this on ebay and run a DVD of this off for myself, because, with the amateurish cover presentation (no longer even the cover depicted above), and picture quality, it's apparent that is all the producer of this product has done. However, l cannot fault the program itself. lt's delightful. Just hoping it comes out "officially" one day.

3 comments about Sing With Doc Holliday - America's Premier Vocal Coach.
- Don't expect a real training video, with plenty of exercise material. But it's a good short introduction to basics. For the price it's nice.
- What a great taste of professional studies for those seeking voice training. If you are willing to devote the time to see it through, who knows? I loved it.
- It's helpful for singers, especially beginners. You'd probably like to work with other books, dvd's and cd's ( Voice Lessons To Go V.3- Pure VowelsVoice Lessons To Go V.4- StaminaVoice Lessons To Go Volume 1: Vocalize and Breath along with this one. For instance Singing for Dummies which gives you the basics and more, plus, Singing Coach Unlimited.
The opening of this DVD is about 5 minutes of info on Doc Holliday, his accomplishments, who he's worked with etc.
Then, the lessons follow and they aren't arranged in a very organized manner. But this dvd does have good breathing and vocal exercises. I like that he has artists doing the exercises so I can see how others do it too.
I'll check out more of Doc Holliday's work, it's nice to see techinques from different vocal coaches out there.

5 comments about Beauty and the Beast - The Enchanted Christmas.
- Those who watched Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" knew they were watching something special. The first Disney film ever to released on Platinum Edition DVD, that movie had a powerful and compelling story with a cast and musical numbers to match.
Set in the Beast's castle, back before the spell was broken, comes "Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas." Mrs. Potts takes readers back to this tale which begins on Christmas Eve. Christmas is coming and Belle couldn't be more excited. Little Chip is excited to hear the news of Christmas too, but when Belle starts planning a celebration, she's stopped in her tracks. It seems "the Master," Beast, has forbidden Christmas and the servants don't want to go along with her plan. Belle convinces them otherwise and even when the Beast rebels, she still goes ahead.
"Beauty and the Beast" is hard act to live up to and while this film isn't quite up to the same standard, it is still another great story and one I enjoyed watching. The original "Beauty and the Beast" featured a terrible villain, Gaston, and this film has one to match --- one that is perhaps even more terrifying. Forte was the musician in the castle and when the spell was placed on the castle, he was turned into a pipe organ. He now feels useful because his gloomy music seems to be the only thing that makes the Beast forget his hardships. So when he notices what's happening with Belle, he wants to put a stop to it and uses a little flute named Fife as his lackey. At first, Forte is a bit of a sympathetic character, for it's not hard not to sympathize with his worries of loneliness should the spell be broken. But when it seems like things are not going his way, Forte becomes truly horrifying.
As with "Beauty and the Beast," whose most memorable song matched its title, this film also has one song that stands out in particular --- "As Long As There's Christmas."
As long as there's Christmas, I truly believe / That hope is the greatest / Of the gifts we'll receive.
By the time you get done watching this video, you will have heard it four times --- twice sung by characters during the film and once during the closing credits, performed by Peabo Bryson ("Aladdin") and Roberta Flack. There is one final performance --- see below.
This special edition video release is close-captioned, recorded in SP mode and Hi-Fi stereo. Before the film starts, there are previews for other film, video and DVD releases, including Miramax's "Pinocchio" and Disney's "Lilo and Stitch" (which has been out for sometime now.) After the film, stay tuned for one more rendition of "As Long As There's Christmas," a pop version performed by PLAY.
This is a film worth adding to lineup of holiday specials. It really does capture the Christmas spirit and is essential viewing for "Beauty and the Beast" fans.
- Doing a "prequel" to the Disney classic was a hard act to follow, and it shows. The animation here is competent but fails to dazzle like the original, the villain is too droll, and there are no memorable songs. Since computer-animated fare have taken over the theatre staples, Disney has turned toward the direct-to-video market, and unfortunately, knocked off some rather lame sequels to their classic animated films.
If you want a great film, then stick to the original "Beauty and the Beast". Better luck next time, guys!
- We rented this film because my daughter is obsessed with "Beauty and the Beast." Her favorite character is Chip, and he features huge in this sequel, so she was interested throughout the entire movie and wanted to watch it over and over. I played Scrooge, however, and returned the copy immediately without a second viewing. In my opinion, this video is far too scary for little kids and too dark for a Christmas movie. The songs are forgettable, and the themes are way too mature for the younger set.
- My 2 year old LOVES Beauty and the Beast, so I thought this would be a great movie for her. I was very disappointed with this movie. The beginning half is fairly cute, but Belle does a horrible job at singing the songs. The second half of the movie is very dark and the organ character is too much. The "Don't Fall in Love" song by the organ is absolutely horrible and dumb. I don't think the movie stayed true to the beast's character either. They made him a little too angry this time. He throws Belle in the dungeon and tells her that she will rot there forever. I still gave this three stars because my daughter was entertained, but I don't really like her watching it. I don't recommend buying this movie.
- Two words: absolutely enchanting.
I was looking through customer reviews for my old favorite Disney films, and I saw all of the unfavorable reviews for this title.
This follow-up to the classic Disney film is just as fun and magical as the original.
Enchanting songs and the same characters, plus a few new ones, make this a classic for kids and adults alike.
Wonderful.
