5 comments about Pinky & the Brain: A Pinky & the Brain Christmas.
- This video is so touching, I wanted to buy it immediately! It will have a place of honor in my Christmas Video collection! There aren't many animated features on TV today that I like. This video I love! I'm 47 years old and I adore Pinky and the Brain!
- awww, its touching, and so cute! A great xmas video too, especially for you Pinky and the Brain fans!
- The test of a truly extraordinary production, long or short, is its ability to evoke a broad range of human emotions, and that is exactly what "A Pinky and the Brain Christmas" does. From the opening scene, in which Pinky gleefully sings "Deck the Halls" while sliding down a decorative Christmas ribbon, to the ending, when they exchange gifts, our little mouse friends take us on an emotional journey. We laugh hysterically as they are flown to the North Pole by a character strangely similar to "Large Marge" in "Pee Wee's Big Adventure". Later, we are captivated by Brain's brilliant pitch and Pinky's familiar, delightful giggle, as they interview to become new elves in Santa's workshop. Then, in the the end, when Brain exasperatedly begins to read Pinky's selfless, innocent letter to Santa, we are moved to tears right along with him.
In many ways, this episode is like any other charming, thought-provoking "Pinky and the Brain" offering; Brain conceives a brilliant plot to take over the world and Pinky laughingly assists him along the way, sometimes for better and sometimes times for worse. This time, however, Brain's plan "fails" by his own choice. It is Pinky's innocence and loyalty to his friend that make this episode such special and touching Christmas fare. Watch it and you are guaranteed to fall in love with these little "rodents", if you haven't already.
- One of my favorite Christmas specials; it actually makes me cry if I haven't seen it in awhile!
- If you like "Pinky and the Brain" then you will enjoy this Christmas show. It has all the regular features of the show, with an added Christmas flair. My son (7) liked it, but I bought it because I am a big fan of these two mice. My wife and I discuss which is the genius and which is insane. Listen carefully to the opening song; the words are different than the typical show.

1 comments about Cedarmont Kids Sing Along Songs - Christmas Carols.
- Can't say enough good things about CedarmontKids. These are a great item to have for the seasons. My daughter began to sing with the children immediately at 34 mo while living in the caribbean where there is only sun and beach. I thought "oh no, she won't sing because she doesn't understand what Christmas means" but to children, it's magnetism, they immediately are drawn to Christmas and carols. Before I knew it, with our windows open and tourists staying in beside and below our terrace balcony, my daughter and I were singing to the carols. It was so much fun.
You have an option to have the words cited for you on the screen if you choose to, to learn the songs.

1 comments about Your Favorite Christmas Carols.
- YOUR FAVORITE CHRISTMAS CAROLS is a wonderful DVD to play during the Christmas season. You can play it as background music while taking part in holiday activities, but it's even better if there's a total visual and aural involvement.
YOUR FAVORITE CHRISTMAS CAROLS features a superb selection of 30 carols though they don't exactly conform to the title. Many of them really are favorites but there's also a good mix of not-so-familiar carols that may easily be moved up to the favorite list once you experience this DVD.
The 90 minute program featuring performances by British, American, and Irish choirs and soloists was filmed in magnificent cathedrals and fascinating neighborhoods in London, Galway, Dublin, and Somerset.
The West Point Cadet Glee Club is featured on O COME, O COME EMMANUEL and LO! HOW A ROSE E'ER BLOOMING, filmed during a concert tour of the British Isles. A Celtic band plays a lively version of DING DONG MERRILY ON HIGH. Some of the lesser-known selections include THE ZITHER CAROL, WINTER WINDS (Etude by Chopin), THE CROWN OF ROSES (Tchaikovsky), and UP! GOOD CHRISTIAN FOLK, AND LISTEN.
The cathedrals and towns are beautifully photographed and there is wonderfully unique staging that makes good use of the ancient stone architectural elements.
Outstanding soloists include Eireann James - ROCKING (a Czech carol), Christine McCabe - SILENT NIGHT, and Dennis O'Neill - AVE MARIA (Bach). My favorite soloist is Catherine Coates who sings several arias in a segment devoted to selections from Handel's MESSIAH. I heard her on a concert tour of the U.S. several years ago and this DVD captures her glorious voice as well as her Irish beauty.
This compilation of TV broadcasts from Christmases past is a perfect Christmas gift for someone else or from you to you.

1 comments about Texas Lightning.
- When I heard that one of my favorite B movies from the 80's was coming out on DVD I was happy!! I ordered this DVD from MEDIA BLASTERS / GUILTY PLEASURES (known as RAREFLIX on EBAY) for a reasonable price. After quick delivery I anxiously put the disc in to watch!
Well.... first the good news. The old saying "Better to have something than nothing" is true. The Bad News? To start the source print is less than spectacular. The film is dirty, grainy at times. Multiple splices throughout disc. Full Screen transfer, no widescreen. Extras include 4 trailers from other films. There is a 'promotional' trailer of "Texas Lightning" on disc which is nothing more than the montage of scenes from the film's end made up as a teaser trailer.
Also to squash any rumors that might be floating about regarding the 'MAUREEN MCCORMICK NUDE SCENES', Uh.. They don't exist. At least not in this DVD version. Yes she does have a fling in a motel with one of the central characters but nothing more. I do recommend the VHS tape from MEDIA HOME VIDEO if you can locate it. Their transfer was from a better quality 35mm print. However if you are dying to see this film and do order the DVD, don't say I didn't warn you.

5 comments about Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town.
- This movie gives you the history of santa in a fun and enjoyable way, by having random outbursts of song and dance. Dont be fooled by the cover anyone of any age can enjoy this clay animation film. Not only does this movie teach us about christmas but it also teaches us how to care for others by sharing. If your a fan of christmas movies than this is a must have classic!
- The kids don't know who the characters are, but what the heck...they love it. Maybe, just maybe some kid will want to see some other work of these guys.
- This is a special, touching Christmas video. Wonderful for the kids and to add to your Christmas collection
- Just like I remembered it when I was a kid. My son (11) also enjoyed it alot! The figures are still a great way to do animation.
- I loved this as a kid. So I figured I'd get it for my kids. And they liked it too, despite the hilariously hokey special effects (hokey to them), so that's why I gave it 3 stars.
But for me, for all the christmas specials, this is the worst.
I couldn't believe the "Sit on my lap" song. Really. Some strange creep comes to town and trades kisses and lap sitting for toys - he should have been arrested for that alone.
And then the way they tied everything to the song was really irritating. Plus, why did the young man have an old man's voice? Annoying.

1 comments about A Christmas Celebration.
- This DVD is wonderful if you listen but don't look. The audio is out of synch with the video and the entire visual presentation of "O Holy Night" is horrendous. The people on the DVD are some of Europe's greatest opera stars so I was looking forward to a nice hour of entertainment. Instead, I was very disappointed with the poor quality of this DVD. If it were a CD, it would rate much more than the 1 star.
There is a narration that intrudes after every few songs. While Tony Randall is okay as the narrator, the writers didn't provide him with a factual script. You have to ignore most of the stories that are told about the carols.
