1. I used to have this LP years ago, and it sounded amazing on my old Thorens turntable. Well, now it sounds amazing on my Denon player through my Vandersteen speakers! It's an all-time favorite audiophile recording, and no decent hi-fi store is without a copy. Musically, it's a very satisfying album as well. Beautiful Christmas music, great vocals and organ playing, superb acoustics. Even if you're not into Christmas (I'm not) or into choral music, get it for the sheer realism, inspired performances, angelic voices and mighty organ playing.

2. This is one of the best albums in my music collection. It was recorded in a church and you can feel the air that is not easily attainable in normal studio recordings. The performance is also one of the best IMHO. If you're a true music lover, I'm pretty sure that you will appreciate this beautiful classic for years to come!

1. This is a great CD. I got it in 1991 when it came out way before I was into the mandolin. Now that I play (try at least), I can really appreciate the talent on this disc. If you love mandolin music this is a must have. If you love Christmas music this is a wonderful departure from the standard choral or traditional orchestral fare. This CD gets lots of play time in my house.



2. I purchased this CD many years ago. It has been a holiday classic since that time. I regularly purchase it as a gift for family and friends. Even those unfamiliar with the mandolin family have loved this, including my sister who "hates bluegrass". She plays it in her classroom and the kids love it, too. Along with Emmylou Harris' Light of the Stable and David Grisman's Acoustic Christmas, these never leave our player during the holidays. Those who love this will also love Evan Marshall's CDs.
   
   The musicianship here is superb. The tone of the mandolins seems to be the perfect way to perform this favorite holiday classic. The music is light and cheerful; at holiday gatherings it makes a wonderful backdrop without overwhelming. Yet it also stands up to an audiophile or the most discerning musician really enjoying every nuance. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

1. I own it! It's the bomb! You won't be disappointed! By far, I have not heard a Christmas CD that made such an impact on me musically since Kirk Franklin's Christmas CD, which I still can jam to! I was working on the computer one day and had the music station running on Comcast tv, in the background. I said who is that, that sounds like Israel?
   
   I was so suprised to hear this eclectic sound of jazz, gospel and soul, very reminscent in production to Earth Wind and Fire or Mint Condition just taken UP ANOTHER LEVEL! I called the nearest bookstore near me around 8pm that night, bought the cd, and came back to finish my work! I had to have it! I also listen to this CD all year and need to get my backup soon!



2. This is one of the best Christmas CDs I ever heard (from all genres). Just look at the ratings, its unanimous!This man has set himself apart from the pack. This music is very refreshing. BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT becuase you can listen to it throughout the year and its for all ages too.



3. This CD is a good alternative to the typical christmas albums. I prefer his acoustic songs much more. The song with his son is hilarious.

1. I've been listening to this album on record since I was a little girl so I was very happy when it was released on CD. Has a great mix of originals and traditional Christmas songs. Kenny Rogers' voice and the songs make you want to curl up next to the fire! A must-have for anyone who likes tradition christmas music!

5. I had this CD on an album when I was growing up and it has been digitally remastered onto a CD. No surprises. Great value. I just wish they would put a couple bonus tracks on these remastered CDs. As with the album, there are ten songs on this CD. For the price, its a steal.

1. I didn't buy this for me but I knew my mother would like it. She loves good R&B music like Luther Vandross and anything on the smooth jazz stations. It was perfect for her tastes. She put it on in her car and was happy.
   
   The brother's voice is so smooth and mellow. I have his "Moods" CD and, oh, yes! Will = smooth. His voice reminds me of warm chocolate. Smooth, rich and dark. You know what I'm talking about.



2. I thoroughly enjoyed Will Downing's Christmas CD entitled, "Christmas, Love and You." It was a very romantic CD and it certainly lived up to my expectations of what a Christmas CD should be. It also lived up to the sultry soul sound for which Will Downing is well-known. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who wants to get into the Christmas holiday spirit, especially with their sweetheart!



3. Being a true fan for a long time, I am not surprised that he delivered his "A Game" with this CD. He provides a variety of tracks designed for couples sharing the holiday together and understanding the reason for the season. The perfect gentleman and perfect CD for the perfect holiday- it cannot get any better! The only thing missing is Denzel Washington! (joke)



4. While i have to admit that i haven't been a long time Will Downing fan, i can say that he is smooth with his music and this CD is no different. I just sampled it on Amazon and it was outstanding to say the least. My favorite song is Christmas, Love and You, but they all sound good to me. I was justlooking online for some new Christmas music for this year and i recommend it to any and everyone cause i am gonna buy it for sure!



5. Will Downing is so sexy and, Christmas is no different. I love his personality, stage presence, and most of all his sexy voice! This is a good one!

1. My son, almost 4, loved this CD. He listened to it over and over and knows most of the words. A great find for young kids.



2. Well, if you have a wiggler in your house, you certainly cannot do without this classic Christmas CD! It is absolutely wonderful. We just love it in our house and it even gets a listen or two during the lovely hot and humid July and August months. If you're not familiar with the Wiggles, this is a great CD to get. I personally love the songs they write on this one that has to do with the real meaning of Christmas. Most of these songs are their original songs and all are done extremely well. My personal favorite is "Go, Santa, Go!" I love the dance on the DVD too! We do that dance in the car whenever that song comes on. Boy, do we get strange looks! Anyway, of particular note, Greg does a very nice job on "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer." My little one asks for that one over and over again.
   
   Highly recommend this one and grab the DVD too. You'll get a little giggle out of it too seeing those guys doing those disco dances to some of this music! Love it!



3. Our kids (ages 1, 4, 5) love the "Wiggly Christmas" DVD. This CD has more songs on it than the DVD does--some of the songs are from their DVD "Yule Be Wiggling." It has some classics, like Jingle Bells, but their original Christmas songs are adorable and very memorable. My husband and I sing right along with the kids, when we listen to the CD. It is a great choice for families!

   This is a 2 disc set and includes the same songs on disc 1 that have been on the previous snowfall cds however this one includes some songs not previously released on disc 2.Disc 2 is a dvd of a couple of songs off of Bennett's Family Christmas that was released on vhs in the 1980s but is now out of print.The dvd has 5 songs out of the 19 that was on the vhs tape.On my previous review I mentioned this was a 2 cd set but I was wrong I didn't know the second disc was a dvd.
   
   How does the dvd look you might ask?
   The 5 videos on this disc look much better then I have ever seen them.They look good and are sharp.The snow scene is just beautiful.I have the old vhs and it looks grainy compared to this dvd.Once again this is just beautiful looking with no grain.The disc is about 18 minutes long.On the dvd you can either pick the songs you want to play or use the play all feature.It also offers a resume feature.
   
   How does it sound?The dvd is encoded in Dolby Digital and sounds great.The music sounds like it surrounds you.
   
   Now for the bad news
   Why wasn't the whole holiday show put on the dvd?This disc could have held all 19 songs.I would rather them have put all 19 songs on the dvd then just 5.I wonder why this whole show has never been released on a dvd.
   
   The cd sounds the same as previous snowfall cds maybe a little better if you have surround sound.The disc says 360 degree sound.
   
   I recommend this two disc set especially if you don't have A Family Christmas.I also recommend Johnny Mathis Home For Christmas dvd.



2. Tony Bennett is a singing legend and his classic Christmas album is very well-known. Sony Legacy Recordings has re-released the album with a re-mastered version of the music and a bonus DVD. The Tony Bennett Christmas album features him singing some of the season's most well loved songs. "The Tony Bennett Christmas Album" features Tony singing holiday favorites such as "My Favorite Things," "Santa Claus is Comin' To Town," "White Christmas" and "Winter Wonderland." The new edition of the album comes with a special bonus DVD. The DVD, which has a running time of twenty minutes, features a portion of Tony's performance from the television special "Tony Bennatt: A Family Christmas." The DVD features five performances from the special. This CD/DVD combination is a perfect addition to your holiday music collection and will be a favorite for Tony Bennett fans.



3. This CD is a 2 disc CD. Although we like the music, the 2nd of the 2 disc set does not work and gives an error message. Hopefully Amazon will replace it.



4. This is great Tony Bennett Christmas flare. If you're looking for that cool, laidback, jazzy - swing holiday feel this is the album. He gets better with age, so relaxed, so effortless, so perfectly comfortable with this style. It's a timeless collection. He's also in great voice.



5. I love Tony Bennett and really enjoyed this album. He still has his wonderful voice and can really belt out those songs. If you enjoy classic Christmas songs, sung by one of the best, it has to be Tony Bennett.Snowfall: The Tony Bennett Christmas Album

1. So I just saw the movie (which was just OK) and I caught this cool, almost surfer, 60's version of "White Christmas" during the credits - - turns out to be sung by a verrrry cute girl Tina - - worth listening to - - it just makes ya' feel like you're in a snowglobe and ya' chill.



2. As soon as I heard that Little Steven was involved in this CD I knew it would rock. Little Steven also wrote the song All alone at Christmas for the Home Alone soundtrack. Great, Great X Mas Album. Crack out the Vino, Krank up the music......



3. I got this CD *FREE* when I bought the movie DVD. However, it was nothing spectacular. Just another CD with Christmas music on it. I wouldn't suggest buying it.



4. This is a very good CD. It contains all the tracks from the movie. Also, almost every soundtrack has its holiday feel. For track 1, good start with its rock Christmas feel. Oh, strange. For track 2, it is okay. For track 3, it is quite relaxing and it is played in the beginning of the movie. For track 4 and 5, they are so-so. For track 6, it is good again. For track 7 and 8, they are good with rock feeling back on. For track 9, it is excellent with the real Christmas feeling. For track 10, it is a bit odd because it doesn't sing well in this version. For track 11, it is long but this really surprise me. It is because it breaks into about 5 phases. From rock to soft and then rock again, during the soft part, it is the traditional Christmas music that I like for all time. So, track 11 is excellent. Finally, for track 12, it is a good conclusion for this soundtrack. So, it is a good CD overall.

5. This was a movie inspired by an excellent book "Skipping Christmas"
   Unfortunately the movie was not so good. The soundtrack did'nt fair to well either. There is a few good tracks on it but over all just "OK". "Merry Christmas To All Of The World" by Jean Beovoir is probably the best track along with "The Christmas Song" by The Ravonettes and "Frosty The Snowman" - The Charms. I'm a sucker for Christmas music and it sounded like a decent soundtrack.

1. Stunningly beautiful! I deeply enjoy Christmas music - from the ancient, to jazz and pop - and main a diverse and festive holiday collection. While "Maxjazz-Holiday" is my secular holiday favorite, "King's Singers Christamas" is my hands-down, "knock-your-socks-off" favorite among traditional Christmas music. It is unparallelled in sonic beauty and musical expression of the historic Christmas story. I can become totally lost in the sublime beauty of these artists of a cappella voice. One track is more stunning than the next in sheer beauty, tonal blending, vocal textures, and musical expression of the Jesus nativity story. My deepest thanks to the artists who created this deeply moving collection of seasonal music.



2. What else can I say. If you are a fan of Christmas music and of the King's Singers you will like this album. I was originally trying to get CD versions of some older vinyl King's Singers Christmas albums I had purchased while living in Austria in the 70s and 80s. Unfortunately, they are not available. This is a fine replacement. I would still like to be able to get the German album in CD form, though.



3. Words fail to rise to the task of describing this collection. The words, melodies and performance are simply transcendent and sublime.



4. The King's Singers bring their mastery of blend and tone together for their latest Christmas album. It's difficult to comprehend how 6 men can produce such an amazing sound, but they do. They sing traditional Christmas music, such as Coventry Carol, Lullay my Liking, and Stille Nacht. This is the King's Singers at their best- exquisite acapella music that is contemplative and will lift up one's spirits. In particular, I recommend listening to their rendition of Bogoroditsye dyevo. If you still have time, I would recommend downloading the MP3s and listening to it for Christmas. If not, this can be listened to at any time of year.
