3 comments about Bianca Ryan: Christmas Everyday.
  1. This limited edition CD by Bianca Ryan is an incredibly great CD! It has 5 tracks: Why Couldn't It Be Christmas Everyday, Someday At Christmas, Home On Christmas Day, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, and O Holy Night.
All are masterfully and professionally done by Bianca. Her passion, power, control, range, interpretation, and beautiful voice, make this a gem of a CD. It is essential for any fan of Bianca Ryan!

  2. There's five songs on this CD and all of them is five-stars quality! You will NOT regret buying it even so as a christmas present so someone you care about or would like to have a better relationship with ;)

If you bought here first CD last year you might have a second thought about this one - don't - this is what it's all about! Beautiful voice, great mixing and.. what the first CD should have been!

  3. bianca was a AGT winner 2 years ago, havent heard from her since, not surprising with material like this, she tends to "shout" most of the song, not recomended

2 comments about The Nutcracker.
  1. The music is beautiful and the narration is unubtrusive and blends with the moments. It gives new listeners the chance to find benchmarks as the dance moves forward. It is an especially good tape for children who are palnning to see the ballet or who have seen it and want to relive it. Listening to this tape means that my five-year-old now listens to an unnarrated version and knows each section by name.

  2. I love this cd.
It is the best Nutcraker cd
    I have ever heard.
If I had to choose out of ten Nutcracker cds,
    I would pick this one.
I loved my Nutcracker Ballet, and the music that goes with it.
I was elected best ballet in Boulder City for 5 years.
I hope this is cd is as good to you as it was to me.

5 comments about Angels Embrace.
  1. As much as I like some of Jon's music, I mostly appreciate his lyrics. This album totally disappointed me. It's just another new age album, to me plain boring. I'll stick to "toltec" and what he did with Vangelis, most of which I find extraordinary.

  2. With the music of Angels Embrace Jon Anderson manages to create a loving and relaxing atmosphere that fills your entire body with calmness and piece. As a fan of both Yes and New Age music in general I find this record to be very suiting for relaxing and dreaming. Jon manage to put a more spiritual side to the music at the same time as it's relaxing like the New Age music from Steven Halpern and Vangelis. With the mixes of the typical Jon Anderson melodies like we find in songs like "Change We Must", and an overall instrumental spiritual sound that really has no melody but a spiritual, relaxing and light sound it fits perfect to get your soul and heart lighter after a stressful day!

  3. As an artist I paint while listening to music. I ordered this only because I knew of Jon Anderson's music. I had no idea that this would become my favorite CD. I almost can't concentrate on painting as I listen to the rich, full, beautiful sounds. If ever there was music from heaven this is it. How anyone who takes the time to listen could not be transported to another universe in peace is beyond me. I wish I could thank Jon for making life richer for me.

  4. The Album is up to Jon's High Standards. Suitable for a lazy Sunday afternoon, or on a rainy day. Don't drive listening to this.

  5. Don't buy this to hear Jon's wonderous voice. It's mostly instrumental.
It's as good as any other New Age music out there, very peaceful, relaxing, worth having. I've heard about 70% of his solo albums, and I'd rank this just after Olias and Change we Must. Worth buying.

  1. Not the 2174th best Christmas album, it should be 1000 places higher if only for 'Santa's got a brand new bag'.
If you have all the standard Christmas compilations get this.

3 comments about Romance of Christmas.
  1. This collection of Christmas music is a winner! It has a good mix of carols, hymns, and lesser-known songs, all beautifully played on the violin by David Wilson. The music is both uplifting and relaxing. A great addition to your Christmas music collection!

  2. This CD is for those who have had their fill of the ponderous coral groups, monotonous instrumentals, over-stylized solo artists and are feeling a little "Steamrolled". Light and bright this one will sooth the season jitters. A refreshing approach to the old and new.

  3. What a wonderful Christmas CD! Perfect to play for christmas gatherings, adds to the mood with out "steamrolling" it. Beautiful violin that relaxes and warms the soul. Highly recomend this CD to make christmas day serene!

3 comments about The John Fahey Christmas Album.
  1. The latest in a series of Christmas John Fahey albums, and perhaps the prettiest, with flute, piano and cello arrangements gracing some less obvious Xmas pieces - this is Fahey at his most New Age. Enjoying its lambent simplicity, the listener would never realise that this is an album made by a man on a kind of precipice. Fahey was being gradually overwhelmed by various health and financial problems, and after this album nothing was heard from him for five years. (The silence was finally broken by the dark gratings and howlings of "City of Refuge" which includes a ghastly 15 minute noise sequence called "On the Death and Disembowelment of the New Age".) But as Fahey's Xmas albums go, this is probably the best. The somewhat mechanical syncopation of previous Christmas outings is abandoned for a kind of crystalline purity of melody which represents, in its way, one of Fahey's most extreme statements (as "City of Refuge" represents another).

  2. Of the more than six thousand titles in my music collection, more than two hundred of them are Christmas albums. And starting the week of Thanksgiving, The John Fahey Christmas Album spends more time in my CD player than most of them. There's an intimacy to Fahey's music that befits the holiday season. Whether it's the solemn beauty of "Silent Night" or the gaiety of "Jingle Bells," Fahey's playing is mesmermizing. On about half of the tracks Fahey is accompanied by cello ("Angels from the Realms of Glory," "Good Christian Men Rejoice"), piano ("Spanish Carol) and/or flute ("Christ Is Born as Child of Man," "Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming") to wonderful effect. If you have found some of Fahey's secular music inaccessible, this is certainly not the case with his Christmas music. This hour-long album is as important as Phil Spector's or Elvis Presley's or Mannheim Steamroller's Christmas albums. Throw another log on the fire, pour yourself an egg nog and enjoy. ESSENTIAL

  3. My daughter loves John Fahey guitar. She grew up with his music and was thrilled to get this CD before Christmas so she could fill her home with the same music she grew up with. Received the CD in the mail so fast I didn't have time to question the shipping date. Thank you!

5 comments about Merry Christmas.
  1. My parents bought the LP in 1956, when it first came out & this will be my 48th Christmas listening to it now via CD. A friend at work & I both have copies we play at work, we always get favorable comments every December when its playing which is constant. IMHO
this even top Sinatra's classic Jolly Christmas CD from 1957. Its playing while I write this review as we Boomers love to turn others on to Jackie Gleason's talent. He wasn't called "The Great One" for nothing. A little Christmas music Sammy & "Away We Go"

  2. Simply the most beautiful Christmas music ever heard! We play this each year while opening gifts, or sitting by the fire enjoying another's company. We've given this cd to about a dozen friends and family, they all love it as much.
Just makes you close your eyes, smile and sigh with happiness.
Thank you Jackie for your music, and Merry Christmas to all!

  3. I JUST PURCHASED THIS CD IN SEPTEMBER. I COULD NOT PASS UP THE GREAT ONE AT ANY TIME OF THE YEAR. HIS OTHER ALBUMS WERE WERE KNOWN TO ME IN THE EARLY SIXTIES. WHILE ROCK WAS GREAT, HIS ALBUMS LEFT AN IMPRESSION ON ME TO THIS DAY. I LOOK FORWARD TO THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON HAVING MR. GLEASON AROUND THE FIREPLACE. TO ME ,HE HAS NO EQUAL IN THE INSTRUMENTAL FIELD.

  4. In 1956, we were driving home to PA from AR when a song from this album came over the radio. My father, having a discerning for the ultimate in good music, stopped the car. He found the closest payphone (not easy in 1956), located the phone number of the station, and got the name of the album. He bought it the next day. We listened to it from then on. In later years, when the LP was worn out, and the album out of print, we still listened to the scratchy version. A few years ago I was ecstatic to locate it on CD. This year, I realized that I have been listening to it for 50 years! There is just no other CD of Christmas music like this one!

  5. I grew up listening to Christmas music by Jackie Gleason so I was so glad to find this on Amazon. I will be playing it all through the coming holidays as the music is so soothing to listen to and brings back sweet memories of a better time.

  1. I was shopping last week and I heard this lovely piano christmas music filling the store. It was like shopping and Nordstrom where they have a live pianist near the atrium. I found out it was this CD by Danny Wright. If you are looking for something for background music for a quiet dinner or gathering - this is an excellent choice. I particularly like the medley of Count Your Blessings / White Christmas from the Irving Berlin movie.

  2. My husband and I like this CD so much,we play it to go to sleep by year round, not just at Christmas.

  3. I wasn't sure how I would like this album as I usually don't enjoy solo piano, but these beautiful arrangements are well worth listening to.

  4. This is really a wonderful CD for the holidays. You won't go wrong with this.

5 comments about Andrea.
  1. WOW Andrea is truly a Beautiful CD. This is Andrea's 6th "pop" release (4th In the USA) and it is really his most "pop" album to date. The others are more "POPRA" a combination of tenor singing and POP, while this CD, Andrea, is pop through and through (with the exception of In canto, which is classical). It really shows Bocelli's versility to not only be a wonderful tennor but aslo a wonderful pop singer. Its one beautiful song after another.
hear is a song by song look at the CD,
    1) Dell'Amore Non Si Sa Love it very melodrma-ish, it will be a HIT for sure.

    2) L'Attesa. A very pretty song and very radio friendly

    3) Un Nuovo Giorno. Has HIT written all over it, nice pop style singing.

    4) Tu Ci Sei. Very Good song; ladies this is like Bo singing in your ear while your dancing with him :) Just picture that when you listen to this song. Great vocal control to sing so high and soft at the same time.

    5) Sin Tu Amor. This is done in spanish, I LOVE IT, love the blend of vocals with Reyes (Of the Gypsy Kings) and the Guitar work. BIG BIG hit in latin areas for sure.

    6) Liberta. very good but no con te partio, still very pretty.

    7) Per Noi. very good, I like the way it goes up and down a scale. Its a Very romantic song.

    8) Le Parole Che Non Ti Ho Detto. I LOVE it; its my favorite on the CD. One of his best chores' in music History, for sure, a beautiful song.

    9) Sempre O Mai. Love it, very popish, very radio friendly, very familiar.

    10) In Canto. A very Pretty song, very romanza-ish.

    11) Quante Volte Ti Ho Cercato. Great song, it goes up and down a scale as well, my second fav on the CD.

    12) When A Child Is Born, a good song also in english. It is in a westen sytle but ends with a heck of a good tennor note.

    13) Go Where Loves Goes. In english, a beautiful duet with a yong new comer named Holly Stell, it will be huge.

Overall Andrea is a beautiful CD, you can put it on, sit back and get lost in the hills of Tuscany. This is a must have essential Bocelli CD.

  2. I felt like I was transported to another realm when I was listening to his singing. His strong tenor voice is captivating and surely embodies squillo. There's too much to say. This cd is a must-have for classical listeners or "pop" listeners who enjoy ballads. This cd presents beautiful and soothing music that touches your heart. I'm still in shock from the music that I'm hearing in this cd.

  3. I found this to be a another great CD by Bocelli. Great to listen to anytime and anyplace. The man has a beautiful voice.

  4. I enjoy the singing of Andrea Bocelli and have most of his CDs. Listening from his earliest to this, his latest, it's remarkable to notice how his voice and delivery have strengthened and matured. Like his other pop albums, Andrea contains a series of new songs in a romantic vein. His English has improved to the point that he is now willing to record a bit in that language. Listening to his Italian selections, unless you speak that language, is a very musical experience in that you hear pure voice, melody and nuance in a way uncluttered by lyric and its literal meaning. The music on Andrea is beautiful and a pleasure to return to again and again.

  5. Once again, a super hit! Andrea Bocelli's singing is always and ever filled with nuances and emotion. It is extremely expressive and a delight to listen to. Often my very soul and being is filled with the deep feelings of his music. A wonderful CD which will be enjoyed for many years to come.
