   My 3 year grandchild was not familiar with several. I usually love the Cedarmont Kids and she does also.



3. My daughter loves this CD. It has a bunch of traditional songs and she has learned so many of the words listening to it over and over. I think she likes that the songs are performed by kids. The second set of songs are duplcates that can be used for sing-along but turning the speaker controls to one side which plays only the music.



4. My wife is annoyed by the kid's voices. My kids like them and I am indifferent. Their for the kids though right? I mean, who does she think she is to say their annoying - c'mon Amy, we can't listen to Phish all the time.



5. This one has a lot of my best christmas songs i love. I got this one at christmas time. Get for you girls and boys for christmas.

4 comments about The Monster Mash Rock 'n' Roll Party.

1. This is a fun cd and the songs are good, but don't be fooled like I was into thinking these songs will be the originals that we've all heard on the radio all these years. One of them is,"Haunted House". The others come very close and this is a very good album despite that flaw the songs come very close.



2. Monster Mash Rock and Roll Party is a very good and fun Halloween CD. It will really get you in the Halloween party mood. I took it to work and played it at our Halloween party, and it really set the tone. Everyone really enjoyed it. The songs are classics that we've enjoyed for years, even though some of them are not by the original artists. And they're fun, light-hearted Halloween songs, not eery or spooky. I would recommend this CD to anyone who likes to cut loose and have fun.



3. I was surprised at how good musically most of the songs on this CD are, since most could stand up on their own even if you ignored the Halloween theme. A couple of the songs I could live without, but overall it's quite enjoyable, and fun rather than spooky. I agree with everything my fellow Tennessean below had to say in her good review, so I'll just add that this music is quite mellow too - all soft rock and R & B. A few of the songs have some Halloweeny sound effects or voices added in, but more of that would have added to the fun. I've been collecting Halloween classical music for years (such as "Night On Bald Mountain" by Mussorgsky, "Totentanz" by Liszt, "Dance Macabre" by Saint-Saens, "Isle of the Dead" by Rachmaninov, "Dance Symphony" by Copland, etc.), so I'm glad to have this CD of popular music to add variety to my collection. Most of it has very good sound quality too. And although the CD cover doesn't affect the music, I love the funny spoof of the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper" album.



4. Let me tell ya, this is a CD for any halloween parties what so ever. This is by far the best halloween CD ever made, especially with notable singers such as Ben E. King, Martha Reeves, Jan and Dean and others.

1. Great songs, lots of demos, pre-release takes, and even some radio promos. This CD set is only for the serious Beach Boys aficionado. If you just want the songs you heard on the radio, buy a "Best of" CD.

2. I got these for a friend who is a beachboy fan. He loves them. It has a great information packet and has all the original songs including demo songs that were never released.



3. This box set covers the first thirty years of the Beach Boys. Of course, much more space is devoted to the group's early glory days than to the uneven later years. The first four discs cover the high points of the band's career, featuring their most popular songs with a few rarities thrown into the mix. Disc 5 is all rarities, with backing tracks without vocals and such, which will appeal to serious Beach Boys fans but may be of little interest to the casual listener. As a big fan of the Beach Boys, I liked all of it.



4. I purchased this 5 CD set for my husband as a Father's Day gift. He's enjoyed listening to it. It's a excellent CD and includes the many Beach Boy hits and extra material never released. Extremely great value for the money and I encourage any Beach Boy fans to make it a purchase.



5. I haven't even listen to all of the CDs, but what I have heard brings back great memories of what I couldn't find anywhere else on CD. It's a great collection of work along with behind the scenes studio recordings. Recommended for any Beach Boys casual or die hard fan.

1. A great concept album. This show features so many well known songs... The performances are excellent and the updated orchestrations have given this classic film musical a new future as an entertaining theatre piece.... Loved it!



2. I love this album -- I saw the show in SF twice and recently in Detroit -- the album captures all of the wonderful score and the cast on the album is super -- although they made one curious recording faux pas as far as I am concerned -- why records a Randy Skinner tap dance show without including any of the tap on the recording? Still -- I listen to it constantly in the car -- it feels like Christmas year round!



3. Irving Berlin's White Christmas: White Christmas is one of the best musicals ever made - make that one of the best movies ever made. I absolutely adore it. This CD is the soundtrack to the stage version of the film. I so want to see this show. If the music is any indication, the show is an absolute blast. It's chock-full of the classic Irving Berlin songs from the movie, with the addition of other Berlin classics such as "Happy Holiday," "Blue Skies," "How Deep Is the Ocean," and "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm." The arrangements positively hum with energy - the music has a full, big-band flavor. And the principal vocalists, led by Brian d'Arcy James and Jeffrey Denman, are terrific - they don't try to imitate their filmic predecessors Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen. If they had, that would've equaled disaster. What makes this album work is that you are given top-notch Broadway singers performing timeless Berlin tunes with life and energy. They're not trying to present a carbon copy of the film onstage - the show is more of a love letter to the film, if you will. The story's been tweaked, some of the movie's songs eliminated ("Choreography" is no great loss IMO) or rearranged, but the nostalgic heart of the film's story is vibrantly present.



4. This CD is a faithful rendition of a musical served up with familiar and "sing-along" melodies. Some nostalgia yes, but very appropriate for the Holidays. Anyone who doesn't smile hearing "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas"really is a "scrouge"! I purchased this CD for my grand-daughter after we saw the musical together; a great way to build memories....



5. We bought this CD after seeing the stage production. The songs are quite different from the ones we grew up with in the Bing Crosby tv movie version. Lively and fun from a by-gone era. This is one of our most-listened-to CDs, as most of the songs are not "Christmas-y" at all.

1. It has been a part of my family's Christmas for generations. I was thrilled to find it on CD format, so that I can play for the next generation. The quality is excellent and I enjoyed the extra songs that were placed on the CD. I recommend this CD to anyone that wants an old fashion Christmas with cherished Christmas songs. I love it. 2. Holiday: Sing Along with Mitch is one of my family's favorite albums. When I was a little girl we listened to it during the holidays over and over again. We used our stereo record player. No such thing now, so this Christmas, I ordered CDs of the album for everyone in our family and gave it to them as gifts this year! Needless to say, they loved it! We are still listening to those same songs and they put us in the Christmas spirit more than anything else! Thank you for making such good music available to us!



3. A classic! As a child I'd watch Mitch Miller on television and especially enjoyed his Christmas Specials. What a treat to have these favorites on one CD. A definate family favorite.



4. I bought this album for my parents since they had the record years ago and they love it. Perfect for those baby boomers who grew up on Mitch Miller.



5. I have listened to Mitch Miller for years and I love the arrangements for these Christmas song and have taught them to children throughout the years...His songs on this particular album are fun, romantic and traditional songs. I have always like Mitch Millers band....

1. Sad really. Rick's voice is pretty much shot, very little range, he sounds hoarse on every song. The best track by far is an instrumental faux-Beach Boys "Deck the Halls." My copy is already on the way to "Goodwill".

4. I couldn't buy this CD at Christmastime. It was sold out. I decided to get it after Christmas so that I could have it for Christmas 2008 which is far away. I listened to only the first track and it sounded really nice.



5. Most people don't know that all the proceeds of Christmas With You went to the families of fallen troops here in the USA. What an amazing jesture by the greatest Rocker ever, Rick Springfield. There are numerous hits on here, not just Christmas hits but they should have been played on the radio all the time and gotten the respect they deserved! This is the best Christmas CD ever.

1. Michael W. Smith fans enjoy this c.d. full of their favorite hero's best stuff. For some 25 years or so, he has been composing a grand style of orchestral flourishes that I think I would have imagined composing myself when I was say 8 or 9 years old -- if I had known anything about music, that is. I think Michael W. has a glorious musical gift that needs a couple things:
   1) He should not sing his own music. It requires a larger voice.
   2) He needs to find a more solid definitive expression for the sounds he is being moved to put to music. Somehow, there is something better that is not quite getting all the way formed.
   
   There is no doubt that he knows from where his inspiration comes. I would encourage him to spend some time letting the Spirit-to-spirit connection grow stonger and then letting himself be led through different musical expressions to find better ways to reveal it. He might start with other voices and with smaller assemblages of instruments, finding something that is true before drowning it with large orchestrations.
   
   That said, it is still true that folks that have liked Michael W. Smith recordings before will play this one over and over and over. My bride opened it Christmas morning and has been playing it ever since. That must be what "happily ever after" means.



2. Once again, Michael W. Smith brings us a sweet combination of songs to lift the heart and soul. Easy on the ears.



3. I am amazed at any artist that can compose music from scratch and yet somehow attain the beautiful sound of the season. Michael W Smith has definitely accomplished this in his latest album, It's a Wonderful Christmas.
   
   This CD is composed of a selection of all new original songs for the season, written almost entirely by MWS himself. Every song is beautifully composed and reminds us why Christmas is one of the best times of the year.
   
   I recommend this product without any reservations. If you like listening to Christmas music and are not afraid to try something new, this is an excellent selection!



4. I don't understand why people just shoving into Josh Groban's Xmas CD. I couldn't stand listen that whole CD.
   I guess people prefer HYPE over "substance" and I just love this beautiful W. Smith CD.



5. I have most of Michael W. Smith's CD, especially all three of his Christmas CDs. It's a Wonderful Christmas is my favorite out of the three. It really gets the holiday season going. Along with Josh Groban, Michael W. Smith is another artist I'll listen to during the holidays. I prefer Michael W. Smith and Josh Groban over Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby any day.

3. The Carpenter's Christmas Collection is the best all-around Christmas album I have ever heard. I listen to it from the beginning of December until well into January. There is such a variety of music and styles, and it just feels so "Christmas-y" that it gets you into the holiday spirit everytime you listen to it. My recent purchase was for a friend, and she loves it too!



4. Incredible voice of Karen and wonderful arrangements by Richard. I wish she could have made back as we would still be having a one of a kind voice entertaining us.



5. Nobody! I mean Nobody can make Christmas music like the Carpenters. In this package you get both Christmas albums. "Christmas Portrait" released back in 1978,contains the songs Merry Christmas Darling,Christmas Waltz,Ave Maria,Sleigh Ride,I'll Be Home For Christmas,and many more. In my opinion, that is the best Christmas album ever made! On Disc 2, you get "An Old Fashioned Christmas" released back in 1984, most of the songs were leftovers from the "Christmas Portrait" recording sessions. On this album you get Little Altar Boy,Do You Hear What I Hear?,Santa Clause Is Coming To Town,An Old Fashioned Christmas and many more. This album is well worth the purchase, your not just get one but two of the greatest Christmas albums of all time and by one of the greatest groups ever! Karen Carpenter had a one in a billion voice and Richard Carpenter's arrangments are flawless. Make sure you get your copy today!

1. During this last Christmas I was watching PBS and saw a singer that brought me to tears. Her voice was so pure and angelic, I could not believe what I was hearing.
   Sissel has the voice of an angel, her voice is literally God given.
   I went out and bought the Christmas concert on DVD and CD and spent weeks listening to it almost exclusively.
   She not only had a great voice, but you kept wanting more and more.
   I was hesitant to buy this CD because I was afraid she would not capture the spirit she did with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
   I finally broke down and bought this CD, figuring that if the songs were about Christmas and winter, maybe it was worth buying.
   What she has put together here is nothing short of a masterpiece.
   If you watch the Northern Lights DVD, she sings again several songs she did with the MTC. I chose to buy the CD first, wanting to hear the new songs she had recorded.
   Hymn to Winter is a great song about true love with poignant lyrics.
   When will my Heart Arise is an English version of Mitt hjerte alltid vanker, which she states is her favorite Christmas song. I loved hearing the lyrics in English as opposed to Norwegian like she sang with the MTC.
   Going Home is another great song. The entire CD is excellant and certainly worth buying.
   What you have here, is the finest soprano voice in the world, She will Captivate you with your voice and the music will haunt you like you have never heard before. Sissel is not well known in the United States ( or at least not as popular as she is in Europe. I used to think Celine Dion on Titanic was a great voice. Sissel puts Celine Dion to shame. Now I listen to Titanic with new ears and hear her incredible voice. Sissel is on the verge of being very big in the United States........It's only a matter of time. This could be the break she needs.
   This is for people who love Classical, or Traditional Folk music from other countries than the United States.
   I recommend this CD to anyone who loves music at its purest, and its finest..........Enjoy



2. Again an incredible Sissel performance. I saw her in concert recently and had to have this album. A beautiful recording of a beautiful artist!



3. Amazon had a video clip of Sissel singing a track from this CD. Had never heard of her until then, what a find! She is one of the few vocalist that truly is versatile and able to sing a wide variety of styles. All the music contained in this CD is well suited to Sissel's voice and showcases the depth of her maturity. Added this CD plus three more to my library.



4. This CD showed up earlyer than I thought. The case was shattered but I had an extra. Sissels music brings me to tears.



5. Sissel's Northern Lights CD is just wonderful. It is full of her Honey voiced renditions of known and unknow songs, all of which she performs to perfection.

5 comments about The Most Relaxing Classical Album In the World Ever, Volume II.

1. I have listened to this CD for the last several years before going to sleep at night. I love classical music, and this is great music to help make my soul feel at peace and unwind after a taxing day.



2. Good selection of music, poorly performed and badly arranged. Good album for a tag sale. Same comment applies for Volume I.



3. Not as relaxing as the first volume. But still a great collection of relaxing music. The orchestra that plays the music in the CD is excellent.



4. Beautifully done, arranged, and selected. All are very good performances, and there are many lesser known but wonderful pieces such as the movement from Shostakovich's second piano concerto.



5. The selections chosen are, for the most part, to my taste, but the volume is comprised of fewer supurb selections, such as those masterpieces by Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart that were found in Vol. I.
