  1. just a tip that box set IS NOT worth it. If you want all the movies> walmart has halloween 1 for $10, H-2, H-3 combo pack for i think $8.00 and then theres BEst bUY whom has H-4, H-5 for $15 ea. Walmart just got in recently a NEW odd never seen b4 till recent a box set of Halloween 6, 7, 8 combo for $15. Buy it if yur a hard core fan. Good $ price for 3 movies!! Plus just about anywhere has the 2007 vs of halloween for about $20 i think. so for bout $85 you can get all the Halloween movies if you got the $$$ and are a hard core fan! SOOOO wish a produceers cut of H=6 would come out. I heard its about 45min of additional footage that the theatrical release didnt show?? for whatever reason... SO there you go... AND another Halloween movie a sequal from last years (2007) will be out in 2009 i heard>?? who knows the more remakes and or ssequals they make there just ruining what few great halloween movies there are currently. If there going to make a sequal make one w/ john(josh hartnett) lauries son coming back and facing michael one last time or something like that. who knows what those joker producers will end up doing???

  2. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers is a favorite for many of us fans. What's ironic is how quickly this film had to be written due to the writer's strike in 1988 plus they were limited to budget and time constraints. Yet despite all that, the film managed to beat the odds (and sequel curses) by becoming so much more. It even tips its hat to the original in many ways. First, there is a small amount of bloodshedding. Halloween 4 (like the original) relies more on suspense and terror rather than gore and special effects. Two, the film resembles the original with Ellie Cornell taking over the babysitter role from Jaime Lee Curtis as she tries to protect Laurie Strode's daughter Jaime (Danielle Harris) whose name actually developed as a homage to Jaime Lee Curtis herself. There is even a scene in the film that has Danielle Harris looking at pictures of her mom Laurie Strode and crying. Donald Pleasance also returns as the good doctor trying to stop Michael from murdering more people. What makes Halloween 4 so good is the strong use of characters and actors. Ellie Cornell as Rachel Carruthers was a likeable and strong lead heroine and Danielle Harris as young Jaime Lloyd was perfect as the victimized niece of her evil uncle. Donald Pleasance as Dr. Loomis is always a joy to watch. The settings and lighting used were all done very effectively. I loved the opening sequence with all the harvest images and the house/rooftop scene should be inducted in the horror hall of fame as being one of the most memorable. Also, the ending climax with the truck and the twist with Jaime before the credits roll was a perfect touch. The Halloween score sounds better than ever and the Michael Myers mask has a very cold, calculating feel to it. I think it's my favorite mask out of all the films. There is another scene where Rachel and her friend Lindsey are picking up Jaime after school. Devout Halloween fans will know that Laurie Strode babysat a "Lindsey" in the original film although it's never mentioned if it is the same character. Halloween 5 was a good follow-up to this film with the same actors plus the introduction of the mysterious man in black. Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers is a mixed bag with the fans. H20 would mark Jaime Lee Curtis's return and it was good however it had too much of a post-Scream feel to it and Halloween Resurrection I consider the worst of all sequels. Rob Zombie's remake pales in comparison to John Carpenter's original. But I definitely recommened Halloween 2, 4 and 5 as the best Michael Myers sequels. One hope I had with the entire franchise is that I wish the Jaime Lloyd character had been reunited with her mother Laurie Strode at some point but due to the tragic circumstances in Halloween 6 plus H20's choice to ignore the previous films, it was sadly never meant to be.

  3. HAPPY THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY, MICHAEL MYERS!!!

In the fourth installment of the "Halloween" franchise, it is October 31, 1988 - ten years after Michael Myers massacred sixteen people. We learn that Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasance) and Myers survived the hospital fire. Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her husband have been dead for eleven months. Their eight-year-old daughter, Jamie, is living with foster parents. Myers escapes while being transported from one psychiatric hospital to another; he is determined to travel to Haddonfield and kill his niece.

How can this be when Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode in "Halloween: H2O?" She is very much alive and has a son, not a daughter. In order to rationalize away the lack of storyline continuity, I pretend that installments four through six occur in a parallel time universe. Now that we've settled that, on with my review.

"Halloween 4" has a large body count; Michael Myers is stronger and more ferocious than ever. He is now very similar to his number one serial killer competition, Jason Voorhees. Myers likes dismembering his victims. He leaves a bloody mess at the crash site of the ambulance, the garage, the police station, and the sheriff's house. Unfortunately, most of the killings are done off screen; we only see the gruesome aftermath.

Naturally, Donald Pleasance gives an excellent performance as the fire-scarred Dr. Loomis. The real star, however, is Danielle Harris who portrays sweet little Jamie Lloyd. It is quite nerve wracking to see her being relentlessly pursued by Myers. There is quite a bit of grisly violence throughout this Halloween night. The most memorable scene is when Myers slaughters a truck full of rednecks.

The ending was quite shocking. It leads one to believe that the evil that possessed Michael Myers has found a new body to inhabit and that the nightmare has begun again.

"Halloween 4" is a must see for fans of high body count slasher films, especially the ones that dominated the theatres in the mid-eighties. Fans of Michael Myers won't be disappointed. However, they must keep telling themselves that this Myers is from a parallel universe and that Laurie Strode will eventually appear in a later sequel.

  4. I thought it would be awesome to review this movie on this day! Ten years after Michael tried to kill his sister, and six years after Dan Challis saved the kids from dying from the Silver Shamrock masks, Michael comes out of his coma and wants to kill his niece, Jamie Lloyd. Dr. Loomis tries to stop Michael from doing that. Jamie lives with the Carruthers family. Her step-sister Rachel has a big date on HALLOWEEN, but the babysitter broke her ankle at the ice rink, so Rachel has to babysit Jamie. When Rachel takes Jamie trick-or-treating, Rachel sees her boyfriend with the Sheriff's daughter. Soon, Michael comes after Jamie. Some rednecks try to stop Michael also. Jamie, Rachel, Brady, and Kelly all get stuck in the Sheriff's house with Michael inside. If you love the HALLOWEEN series, you'll love HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS!!!

    p.s. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

  5. Suddenly, as the film opens in Halloween 4: The Return of Micheal Myers, we as the viewer are subject to some odd little facts that just suddenly happened. Jaimie Lee Curtis is nowhere to be found, she suddenly has a daughter, Loomis is at his looniest and SOMEHOW survived the explosion in 2 (impossible) and on top of THAT, he lived threw it all with only a few visible scars on his face...
Need I mention that Micheal was shot in both eyes in 2, but has them back (but some strange turn of events) in 4...

I know a lot can happen in "10 years", but i mean some of this stuff is just ridiculous...

While i respect the attempt made here...it was a terrible attempt...
and yet, they went on to make 2 more terrible follow up movies...

    no good...

  1. My daughter loves it... The only thing it is kind of short... But other than that it is a great DVD....

  2. My kids have watched this DVD a thousand times and they still aren't sick of it. It's absolutely adorable and a great buy at that price!

  3. Both my 2-year daughter and 4-year son loved this DVD so much! I don't remember how many times they already watched. However if the part of Bob the Builder is little longer, I will give a 5-star. My kids are fans of Bob the Builder.

  4. We used to rent this DVD from our public library but it became too scratched to view. I was happy to order it for my 3 year-old daughter who just loves it. We mostly watch Barney (there's a very cute song about autumn) but we have watched all the others several times, also. This is a great collection of halloween videos for children!

5 comments about Wcw Halloween Havoc 99.
  1. If wcw could continue producing ppv's like this they eould still be alive today.this is a awsome ppv.the undercard is very solid but the goldberg sid vicious match is brutal.sid is bleeding very very badly towards the end of the match.the following ddp/ric flair match also is a pretty brutal encounter with flair leaving on a stretcher and the final match is sting vs goldberg which any goldberg fan will enjoy very much

  2. Alright I just want to Know how the wcw can go from such a Great company to the worst wrestling orginization ever in two months. I mean this pay per was amazing with great wrestling from the beggining to the very end.
    Disco Inferno vs. Lash Laru
Good cruiserweight fighting it really kicked off the show on a good note.
Harlem Heat vs. Filthy animals vs. Hugh morris and Brian Nobbs For Tag team championship- This match was good, it was actually pretty funny they used mummies and water bottles and we see Harlem Heat win their 10th tag team championship.
Television Championship Match was great bith men really wanted the win and surprising ending.
Sting vs. Hulk Hogan- I don't know what the hell happend here....If someone could clue me in Please do so.
Flair vs. DDP was great flair was bloody and a brutal match.
Sid vs. Goldberg-The best match of the night by far the blood was pooring from sid probably the most blood I have ever seen in wcw and this match ends with Goldberg winning the United states Title.
Sting (champion) vs. Goldberg- Now Goldberg walks out with the world heavyweight championship in this 3 minute match but the title wasnt really on the line though I don't think because at the next pay per view Bret Hart wins the world title in a turnament if someone could clue me on this too please do but I guess Goldberg IS THE HEAVYWEIGHT Champion!

  3. I never saw this PPV, but I do want to inform everyone why Hogan walks out. This was supposed to be one of those whacky Russo storylines, but it was scraped when Russo got relived of his duties as booker.

  4. I own this ppv and i got to say they could have done a little better with this one. Goldberg vs Sid had to be stopped by the ref allowing Goldberg to win the us title then go on to beat sting for the world title (which the next night he was stripped due to the fact it wasn't an offical WCW title match) And it was Hogan and Sting for the belt till hogan layed down in a weird moment in wrestling. Not the best Halloween Havoc but one we will remember take care

  5. At this time, Eric Bischoff had been removed from power in WCW & the company was a complete mess infront & behind the camera so WCW hired former WWE writers Vince Russo & Ed Ferrah to take over WCW. So this PPV happened within their first week there so this PPV heavily reflected the 1995 edition where it was more about focusing on setting up future feuds & storylines throughout the night.

WCW Crusierweight Champion Disco Infernio vs. Lash Laroux - This was a nice opening match match here between both men with a few high spots here & there. Disco really improved his wrestling skills around this time.

Falls Count Anywhere Street Fight for WCW Tag Team Titles: Harlem Heat vs. First Family (Brian Knobbs & Hugh Morris) vs. Filthy Animals (Konnan & Kidman) - On the previous Nitro, the Filthy Animals combination of Mysterio & Konnan won the WCW Tag Team Titles from Harlem Heat but Mysterio was injured during the match so the tag titles were stripped & held up in this match. This was just an all out brawl that used weapons in the ring, brawling through the stage setup, and backstage where even a mummy (you read that right) was used as a weapon. Fun match to watch as Harlem Heat regained the belts again.

Perry Saturn vs. Eddie Guerrero - The future "radicalz" engaged in a solid encounter here but this just turned out to be a background for Ric Flair to appear & get his revenge on a member of the Filthy Animals for them stealing Flair's rolex & other property earlier in the week.

Brad Armstong vs. Berlyn - For those who don't remember, Berlyn was Alex Wright under a new gimmick but Brad ended up winning this one in short order. DUD!

WCW Television Champion Chris Benoit vs. Rick Steiner - This was a real technical match here between both men that showcased some good storytelling but just like the Eddie Guerrero match, this match was just a backdrop for all the problems surround Benoit & Malenko's assocation with fellow Revolution members Shane Douglas & Perry Saturn as Malenko turned on Benoit to side with Douglas & Saturn and also helped Steiner regain the championship.

Bret Hart vs. Total Package - Again for those who don't remember, the Total Package was the refreshed gimmick of Lex Luger. This was actually one of Luger's best wrestling matches in recent years here as him & Bret worked a nice match surrounding Bret's leg that led to Luger getting the submission victory in the end.

WCW Champion Sting vs. Hulk Hogan - A month earlier, WCW decided to turn Sting heel against Hogan on his way to winning the WCW Championship. However, this rematch never happened as Hogan came out in his street clothes & just layed down for Sting to pin him & walk out. Weather this was suppost to be part of an angle (like what happened less than a year later at Bash At The Beach) & if this was real life, the entire truth regarding that story still remains a mystery as Russo was famous for trying to do "the rest is fake but this is real" angles during this time in WCW.

WCW United States Champion Sid Vicious vs. Goldberg - The battle of the millennium men as this feud was building for months as Sid was calling out Goldberg for months & even promoting his own undefeated winning streak in WCW. Earlier in the night, Goldberg attacked Sid backstage & busted him wide open & Sid refused to let it be stitched up. Due to all those circumstances, this match was a huge disappointment as Sid was already weakened when he came out & Goldberg kept focusing on his bleeding head while Sid didn't get much offense in at all as he was selling the loss of blood. Goldberg ended up winning the match & the U.S. title as a result of the referee stopping the match. Again, a huge disappointment.

Strap Match: Ric Flair vs. Diamond Dallas Page - This was turned into a strap match earlier in the night by DDP and this wasn't a normal strap match where you have to touch all four corners, you could win by pinfall/submission. After stalling for a while to get the strap hooked up, it was a wild brawl in itself as they lashed each other with the strap & used it in various ways to choke each other before DDP wrapped the strap around Flair's neck for the Diamond Cutter & the win. The match was very good but the aftermath was the highlight as Kimberly lowblowed David Flair on the outside & handed his crowbar to DDP who just used it to complete unleash his rage on everyone in sight like referee Charles Robinson & Flair with various lowblows on his own leading to Ric leaving the building in the ambulance...that was highjacked by the Filthy Animals with Flair inside of it.

WCW Champion Sting vs. Goldberg - After what happened with Hogan, Sting issued an open challenge that Goldberg accepted. This match wasn't much as it was just Sting hitting a few moves on Goldberg for him to recover with the spear & jackhammer to get the quick victory. The controversy behind this match (the commentators say that it wasn't a title match yet Goldberg was crowned the new WCW Champion) along with Sting dropping Charles Robinson after the match setup Sting being stripped of the WCW Title & setting up the tournament for the next PPV called Mayhem (which Bret Hart won).

Also throughout the night, various segments happened such as Buff Bagwell showing up & calling out Jeff Jarrett (who wrestled at No Mercy the previous week & jumped to WCW the next day) who knocked Buff out the gutair earlier in the week for him talking about his dislike for the heads of WCW. They had a quick brawl before Lex Luger came out to get Jarrett for Elizabeth (who was Luger's manager at the time) being knockout by a gutair (playing on the gimmick Jarrett had in WWF before leaving where he was hitting women with gutairs) but accidently nailing Buff with the gutair. Also, Madusa came out in a very skimpy bikini to model the WCW Nitro cologne before showing her distaste for the "head writers" for making her do that.

As you can see, this was a PPV full of twist & turns but compared to the dull & dry state WCW was at this time...it was a welcomed change. The wrestling quality is here as far as the undercard goes, eventhough the main events in the U.S. & World Title matches that were more focued on putting over a storyline than quality, so I would recommend this event overall at a cheap price or if you have some spare money.

  1. My three year old took it to day care on Halloween and all of them LOVED it!

  2. This disc contains four episodes: Dora's Halloween, The Missing Piece, The Big Storm, and Monkey Bars. Only one is related to Halloween, but I think the creators threw in The Missing Piece because it has a wizard, and The Big Storm because it's got a thunderstorm in it. So, only one episode is about Halloween, but it's one of the better Halloween shows for pre-schoolers. My 4-year old watched this last year and still watches it now. The "little monster" is not scary, and the costumes of all the Dora characters are really cute.

  3. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE ITEM PURCHASED. IT ARRIVED LONG BEFORE ESTIMATED TIME AND WAS IN GREAT SHAPE, JUST AS ADVERTISED BY SELLER. I WOULD GIVE THIS SELLER AND PRODUCT AND A+. THANK YOU SO MUCH. JODI

  4. Dora and Boots have an exciting adventure in this video. It is too funny as the mother to enjoy this video maybe even more than my child. The outfits are great and the songs are very catchy. A must watch!

  5. My daughter LOVES this movie!! It got us ready for trick-or-treating, and she still wants to watch it now that Halloween is over!
