For children, it tempers the lessons of the Crucifixion with the true joy and beauty of the Resurrection. I especially loved the ending to this beautiful story. It offers so much hope to all of us who believe in Jesus as our Savior.

1. In this tale Colonel B. Bunny decided that Peter Cottontail should replace him as Chief Easter Bunny. However, a nasty bunn named Irontail wanted the job as well and challeneged Peter to a contest to see who could deliver the most eggs.
   Peter, in his pride was sure that he would win so he threw a big party the night before and didn't get up in time to deliver his eggs and so he lost.
   Discouraged he leaves April Valley and finds himself in the Garden of Surprises with a new friend Mr. Sassafrass. This new friend happens to have a yesterday mobile that just might help Peter make everything right.
   This is such a fun story, with a lesson about pride and ingenuity.

1. "Happy Easter, Sprinkles!" is a cute book featuring Blue's baby brother and the other characters from "Blue's Room." No doubt, you can figure out from the title that this book is about Easter. There are lots of fun ways to celebrate Easter, but one of the most fun is definitely the painting of Easter eggs! It's Sprinkles's very first Easter and it's Fred who gets the idea to celebrate by painting eggs. We help by figuring out what items they need for this. We also help them search for items and to think up things that remind them of springtime. In the end, everyone, including Sprinkles, comes up with some great ideas for things to paint on their eggs.
   
   I really like this book. The soft pastel illustrations are pleasing to the eye and work well with the colors of the holiday. There's also some imaginative scenes and fun action in the pictures. Definitely recommended for the Easter season.
