1 comments about Easter Isfor Me! (A For Me Book).
- We have several children's bibles in our home, but this book does a better job of explaining the Easter story to pre-schoolers. The book is written in a conversational tone starting with some of the distractions of Easter but quickly focuses on the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. It reassures children that this was God's plan from the beginning.... it was sad that Jesus died..... but he became alive again and he did it all for them. The last section of the book focuses attention on some of the symbols that can remind the child of the new life they have in Christ.

2 comments about Tom Rabbit.
- Being lost can be frightening; being found and returned to safety is warmly reassuring, as Tom Rabbit, an adorable plush bunny discovers.
Sammy and Tom Rabbit live on a farm. Early one day Sammy takes his beloved floppy eared toy to the back field so Tom Rabbit can see real rabbits. But, there's so much to do on a farm that when Sammy sees the cows being moved to another pasture he runs off to help, leaving Tom Rabbit perched on a stone wall. Tom Rabbit knows that Sammy will come back for him, but as the day turns into evening and Tom Rabbit sees the moon for the first time his long ears seem to droop even more. Then, his eyes widen in alarm as he finds himself surrounded by real rabbits. But Sammy hasn't forgotten his favorite toy - he returns for Tom Rabbit so they can both snuggle safely in bed. Children who have waited to be picked up will easily relate to Tom Rabbit's predicament, and be reassured by a happy ending. Barbara Firth's soft watercolor illustrations add depth to this gentle story.
- I ordered this sight unseen for a Christmas present just because of the author and Barbara Firth's pictures. My 2year old granddaughter likes this one even better than the Bear books. It's easy to read and she already can tell you what comes next. The illustrations are so sweet she hugs and kisses every page. It was well worth the price.

1 comments about What Is Easter? (Lift-the-Flap Book).
- I am very happy with this Easter book. While many childrens' Easter books focus on bunnies and candy, this one very simply explains the true meaning of Easter and Jesus' rising. It was easy for my two year old to follow. The pictures were also appropriately detailed for my two year old.

1 comments about Easter Ornaments Stained Glass Coloring Book (Dover Little Activity Books).
- Very nice coloring books. The pictures are pretty detailed but easy to color. Can use many different kinds of coloring tools. Each page can be removed to be made in a little picture. Really very realistic stained glass look for a coloring book. Cute pictures and can be used for nice decorations. This book is fun to color in and you get good results with little talent. Good for kids of all ages. A very good purchase, since it's so cheap. Is on Amazon Prime so no shipping costs. All different kinds of subjects available too.

2 comments about Silly Tilly and the Easter Bunny (An I Can Read Book, Level 1).
- From the name, this masterpiece of poetic songs may seem childish. What a deception! I may be a bit old for kiddy books, (I'm 47), but I cried the first time I read this book. I was so shocked when it went out of print. I am organizing a strike against those naughty publishers. SILLY TILLY live forever!
- This is an I CAN READ book, Level 1, so a child in first grade can probably read it herself. It makes a great Easter gift. Our kids loved getting this book.

3 comments about The Bunny Who Found Easter.
- We just love this book! I'd recommend this book in a heartbeat! Its a little long for my 22 month old daughter, but my 3 and 1/2 year old son just loves it. Its a great story with lots of warm fuzzies that teaches a deeper, more important meaning of Easter without any religious overtones. Grade: A+
- A delightful tale. A bit long for someone under two, but a really good choice for all other children.
The reader can ask the children in each picture to count items or to find the bear or the other blue bird for example. The story is told via a bunny who travels throughout various natural settings in a year as the seasons change. The book is not specifically a religious text, but illuminates a poignant theme for the secular and nonsecular Easter season.
The bunny understands after his travels and discovery that "Easter was not a place after all, but a time when everything lovely begins once again." During the Spring the general time of new growth the identification of everything lovely begins again resonates with the actual timing of Easter. In the church, the celebration of each Sunday as an Easter is encouraged by this revelation. Easter the season/time of the year and Easter in the church we are born anew in the everything that is lovely like new buds on a tree and the love of us by God in the resurrected Christ.
The Bunny Who Found Easter is recommended.
- In this world of violent cartoons and scary movies for children, this gentle story is a must for youngsters.

1 comments about Clifford's First Easter (Clifford).
- Let your child join Clifford (the small red puppy in this book) as he prepares for Easter. Your child will love finding out what is in the grass, behind the milk, and outside, behind the curtains. Clifford's First Easter is another great Clifford story that your child will love being involved in!
