   Sammy and Tom Rabbit live on a farm. Early one day Sammy takes his beloved floppy eared toy to the back field so Tom Rabbit can see real rabbits. But, there's so much to do on a farm that when Sammy sees the cows being moved to another pasture he runs off to help, leaving Tom Rabbit perched on a stone wall.

   Tom Rabbit knows that Sammy will come back for him, but as the day turns into evening and Tom Rabbit sees the moon for the first time his long ears seem to droop even more. Then, his eyes widen in alarm as he finds himself surrounded by real rabbits.

   But Sammy hasn't forgotten his favorite toy - he returns for Tom Rabbit so they can both snuggle safely in bed.

   Children who have waited to be picked up will easily relate to Tom Rabbit's predicament, and be reassured by a happy ending. Barbara Firth's soft watercolor illustrations add depth to this gentle story.




2. I ordered this sight unseen for a Christmas present just because of the author and Barbara Firth's pictures. My 2year old granddaughter likes this one even better than the Bear books. It's easy to read and she already can tell you what comes next. The illustrations are so sweet she hugs and kisses every page. It was well worth the price.

1. We have several children's bibles in our home, but this book does a better job of explaining the Easter story to pre-schoolers. The book is written in a conversational tone starting with some of the distractions of Easter but quickly focuses on the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. It reassures children that this was God's plan from the beginning.... it was sad that Jesus died..... but he became alive again and he did it all for them. The last section of the book focuses attention on some of the symbols that can remind the child of the new life they have in Christ.

1. This is a cute Max and Ruby book. The story is nice and pleasant. Max wants to go to an Easter Parade but Rudy has other ideas. The parade is supposed to be the next day. How will Max deal with the wait? The story is nice but the stories actually written by Rosemary Wells are better.



2. This book was really cute. My kids love all the Max and Ruby books, and this one was no disappointment! The pictures are wonderful and brightly colored almost like an easter egg itself! And the unique eggs Max created in the book sparked my kids' imaginations with new inventions for their own easter eggs and decorations! :)

1. I enjoyed the stories that teach about Jesus and the time he lived. They can be enjiyed by the entire family.



2. This was a wonderful book that our family enjoyed sharing during this past Lent. We read a story each night either at dinner or later in the evening. The stories of Jesus's life are told from the view point of a child growing up in His time. They were easy to understand and thoroughly engaged my children. If you are seeking a way to bring your child a little closer to Christ this book will help, and the stories can be read any time of year.

1. What do you do with a bunny who causes trouble by playing soccer instead of helping to decorate those eggs? A cute book that finds a place for that bunny who just doesn't seem to fit in with the other egg painting bunnies.



2. Anyone and everyone can enjoy this book or enjoy reading it to their children. When I was little, I read this book every day. This book is about an Easter Bunny who would rather play soccer then paint eggs. He lives in a colony of Easter Bunnies, who eventually get mad at him for playing so much soccer and won't let him play near them. When he goes to play soccer in a near-by field, he is captured and has to be rescued. He eventually comes up with a happy compromise and lives happily ever after.

1. This book is hard to read because it is so sappy. I still read it to my kids because they like the illustrations, but I make up my own story.
