5 comments about A Rock'N'Roll Christmas, Vol. 2.
- Okay so it has some great tracks like "Christmas time" but then you get to the Beach Boys! (seems like they are on every christmas complilation these days.) I wish it had more oomph like the first one that had "Christmas is the time to say I love you" Find the first albulm and stay away from this one!
- "Rock N Roll Christmas 2" is an awesome CD, with tracks such as "Christmastime" by Bryan Adams (How often do you see that one on CD?), and "Run Rudolph Run" by Dave Edmunds, which just happens to be my all-time favorite Christmas song. This CD also has "The Twelve Days Of Christmas" by Bob & Doug McKenzie, which makes me laugh every time I hear it. For these three alone, this CD is worth the money. Also found here are rarities by Chris Deburgh, Angel, and Squeeze. Put them all together, and what do you have? The answer: An AWESOME CD! If you liked "Rock N Roll Christmas" (the first volume), you'll want to pick this one up as well. GET IT NOW!!!
- Why do we hang a stocking upon the mantle anyway? Because the enjoyment of discovering our favorite goodies and trinkets is instant joy, no wrapping paper to take off, no waiting for your turn, and no dissapointment because it is filled by those who know you best. This comYULEation reminds me of a Christmas stocking. The liner lists a few well known artists playing yuletides which have become Rock`n Roll seasonal standards. If you have listened to vol. 1, continue to be assured those tracks less recognizable will also be compiled from among the best goodies of the 6o`s,7o`s,and early 8o`s. As with most 2nds, you`ll find a wider assortment of sub-generas and a few less ring`ers.Merrily mix~ 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,and 10 ~~ no bahhumbugs Post Script : As with vol. 1 the load is too short for a five star ranking and no instrumental.***buyit*saveit*sharemost*giveit*donateit***
- Just as good as the 1st volume. Great cd & would highly recommend!
- Purchased to get the Run Run Rudolph song, the rest aren't really that good.

- The cheetah girls cd was the best.I like there songs but the song i really like is the Simple things. You have got to get the cd.P.S.Raven is on the cheetah girls and see the cheetah girls 2 on Disney channel at 8pm|7c and go on Disney channel.com to find about the movie.
- The reason why I'm rating this album 5 stars is because I'm not comparing it to tradition Christmas records like Perry Como or Mariah Carey. This album is a perfect blend of pop bounce and Christmas sweetness. Don't expect the best vocalists in the world on this album, but more R&B singing style on most of these songs, but it's very consistent. I'm listening to it right now and I'm on track 11 of 13 I believe. There's several songs that are new to me like "Five More Days 'Til Christmas," and "No Ordinary Christmas," but that just makes the songs more interesting because they're Christmas songs that have new lyrics to me. The Cheetah Girls tackle "All I Want for Chrismtas" but with a slower pace and easy breezy vocals that don't try to be what they're not. They know their limitations and strengths, which is evident on their cover of George Michael's "Last Christmas," where their style sounds perfect on the track.
- I gave this CD to my daughter as an early Chritmas gift...she loves it. The music is upbeat and fun. Your kids will enjoy it!
- This Cd is excellent for any little girl who likes Christmas songs at Christmas time. My daughter loved it and can't wait until next Christmas to hear again.
- This is an amazing CD! I listen to it even when it's not Christmas! I love it! My only problem is when you put the CD on, and listen to it all the way through, sometimes you wish the songs were in a different order, with some of the more upbeat songs near the end. Also, since Five More Days `Til Christmas was at the begining, I think they should have put Cheetah-licious Christmas near the end since those were their only two originals. Or even one right after the other. Even so, the songs are still great and the CD is definitely worth the money. Here are the songs:
1. Five More Days Till' Christmas - This is one of the two Cheetah Girls originals on the CD. A great upbeat song that gets you in the holiday mood. A great way to start the CD! 8/10
2. Santa Claus is Coming to Town - I love this song! A great twist! One of the best songs on the CD! 10/10
3. The Perfect Christmas - One of the slower songs on the CD, but still alot of fun to listen to. 7/10
4. Cheetah-licious Christmas - The other Cheetah Girls original song. One of my fave songs on the CD! I LOVE IT! Especially the part when they spell out Christmas! "Give me a C..." 10/10
5. Christmas in California - A "Get-up-and-Dance" type of song! Aside from the fact that it's not really like that in all parts of California (I've been to LA, and it can actually get pretty chilly there), it's a great song. And it makes you want to get up sing-a-long, and just dance! 9/10
6. A Marshmallow World - A really cute, fun, up-beat song you might listen to while you put up your Christmas tree, or make yummy Christmas desserts. (You might even add marshmallows!) 8/10
7. No Ordinary Holiday - I personally like listening to this song on Christmas day while I open my presents! It's very holiday-ish and has a fun beat. 8/10
8. All I Want for Christmas Is You - A sweet and slow song, but still fun to listen, dance, and sing along to. 7/10
9. This Christmas - Another fun song to sing and dance to. :) 7/10
10. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus - A cute song with a really great beat that's fun to dance to. 7/10
11. The Simple Things - Definitely one of my fave songs on the CD! It's got a cool hip-hop/dance beat and I love the lyrics! 10/10
12. Last Christmas - This song is okay. It's slow, but you can still dance to it. But, it doesn't have anything to do with Christmas or the holidays. They pretty much just used the word in the song. It's okay, but I don't think it fits on a Christmas CD. 5/10
13. Feliz Navidad - A cute way to end the CD, the Cheetah's remade this Mexican Christmas classic, adding a hip-hop/pop beat. Pretty good. 7/10

5 comments about Christmas with the Beach Boys.
- Simply put - you need to have some modern Christmas music, so as not to get overwhelmed with Bing Crosby and the sort. This is one of the rock genre must-haves, although also included are traditional tunes with beautiful harmonies. I know you remember "Little Saint Nick" but wait till you hear the humorous "Santa's Beard". It's another modern Christmas classic. We drove around last year looking at lights with my sister-in-law and her 5 year old son (both new to this music) and they were enthralled with The Beach Boys!
Add Phil Spector's Christmas Album and some Chuck Berry ("Run Run Rudolph") and Elvis and Eartha Kitt ("Santa Baby") and you can make it through December.
- great harmonies on a varied selection on Holiday tunes. Not just the same dozen overdone by so many artists.
- If you love the beach boys these are great songs. Has songs that are not all traditional. Even my teenagers liked it and they are not big on older music.
- This CD is a terrific one! Everyone, including my 3 year old, really enjoyed listening to it and it really got us in the spirit of things!
- This album sounds unusually in comparison to some other Christmas albums showing Beach Boys A Capela famous sound. I would suggest this album to every BB fan.

5 comments about Nick at Nite: A Classic Cartoon Christmas.
- This is a really good CD, it has several songs from the the classic Christmas specials and it is just really nice to listen to them during the Christmas holiday! It has Frosty the Snowman, Your a Mean one Mr. Grinch, Rudolph The Red Nosed Reinder, Holly Jolly Christmas and many more wonderful songs and I highly recommend this CD! BTW: The Snow and Heat Miser songs from The Year Without A Santa Claus are on the next Nick at Nite Christmas CD. Nick At Nite Christmas: A Classic Cartoon Christmas Too.
- I love listening to Christmas music and I like that this Christmas CD put out by the folks at Nick at Nite has songs from the Christmas specials I watched when I was little. This CD has songs like Frosty The Snowman, Rudolph The Red Nosed Reinder, Holly Jolly Christmas, We Need A Little Christmas, You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch and many more and I highly recommend this CD! FYI: The Snow Miser and Heat Miser songs from The Year Without A Santa Claus are on the 2nd volume of the Nick at Nite Christmas CDs! It is called A Nick At Nite Christmas: Classic Cartoon Christmas Too. I know some people have complained about the song from The Muppet Family Christmas being included but I love that Christmas special and that song!
- If, like me, you raised your family in the 1960s and early 1970s you will love this memory-jogging album from Nick at Nite.
Every holiday season we would hunker down in front of the TV, the kids in their pajamas, drinks and cookies at hand, to religiously watch: How The Grinch Stole Christmas, with the wonderful Boris Karloff giving voice to the title role; Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer and the great Burl Ives adding the title song and Have A Holly Jolly Christmas to a list of Christmas standards; Fred Astaire, Mickey Rooney, and Keenan Wynn lending their magic to the tunes from Santa Claus Is Coming To Town; Da Schnozz - Jimmy Durante - and his unique voice on Frosty Da Snowman; and the marvelous jazzy soundtrack from A Charlie Brown Christmas by The Vince Guaraldi Trio.
The fold-out insert contains reproductions of six letters children wrote to the "stars" of the shows in question, with the one to The Grinch being particularly hilarious. It reads: "Dear Grinch: Why are you so mean? Were you neglected when you were a child? Are you embittered because you didn't get enough love? Have you ever considered getting professional help? If you have, my daddy is a psychologist and I understand has a sliding scale. Love Jocelyn."
Priceless stuff, and only made better by the wonderful cover graphics (and in the fold-out) by Davis Sheldon. An absolute must for your Christmas collection.
- Even people my age (I'm only 28), can say that they've grown up with these classic Christmas specials, as they have been rerun on a yearly basis at least well into the 90s, and anyone who has seen them enough knows that both the shows and the songs will grow on you in a big way. All classic stuff, this collection contains such great holiday memories as "Christmas Time Is Here" from A Charlie Brown Christmas, "Holly Jolly Christmas" from Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, and "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" from How The Grinch Stole Christmas. This song is sung by the incomparable Thurl Ravenscroft, who, pretty much up until his death in 2004, remained active in a number of notable ways, including having his voice used for various public announcements heard throughout Disney World, and more importantly, providing the voice of Tony The Tiger in the Frosted Flakes commercials.
- If so, you'll LOVE this CD! I thought it was a tad expensive but as soon as I popped it in & it started playing, a huge smile appeared on my face & I knew I made a great purchase! If you wanna go back in time & remember how you felt when you were a kid, then buy this CD while you can. You won't regret it!

- I received my item in a very timely manner and it was in excellent condition. I enjoyed listening to it very much during the holidays.
- I previously owned this CD but it got scratched up somehow and some of the songs would not play right. It liked this CD so much I threw the scratched one away and ordered me another one. I was able to enjoy it this past Christmas.
- I love this CD. If you are a country music fan then this Christmas CD is for you. Randy Travis is a classic and doesnt dissapoint on this CD.
- Randy Travis lends his smooth voice to this collection of original "Old Time Christmas," "A White Christmas Makes me Blue," and classic Christmas carols. It makes a great CD for those cold December days wrapping presents. The CD is on the short side, but you like what you hear.
- Very hard to find CD but one of the best country Christmas CD out much better then his newest one.

- Awesome cd blows you away David benoit at one of his brightest moments ever must buy cd. George Bretzlaff
- Yes, some of the music from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" is on this CD, but it is much more than that. As a sidebar, I know that David met "Sparky" Schultz and they were fond friends. David stays faithful to the Vince G. music, yet puts a bit a of spin here and there, plus some other seasonal favorites.
This is one of those holiday CDs you can't miss with. It stands up to listening in the car or at home or to use it as ambience music at a holiday gathering -- not intrusive AND noteworthy.
- David Benoit...provides excellent selections of the past , with a somewhat modern jazz twist. Christmas Time Is Here..is one of my favorites with Michael Franks singing the lyrics. If you like the Themes from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" you will love this CD. Excellent background music for a holiday gathering.. In some instances you can recall a little of Steamroller. Give it a try..It is worth the price. Delivery time was excellent ..
- David Benoit is awesome on the piano, whether it's Christmas music or any other smooth jazz. He plays beautifully and one can tell he loves what he's doing. This is definately a "must" to add to your "Jazzy Christmas" collection.
- The album is mostly a rehash of Vince Giraldi, so why not stick with the original. There are some indepent songs, but a try at uniqueness ends in just a jumble.

5 comments about Christmas With Eddy Arnold.
- I just found this CD after having lost my LP back about 10 years ago. I couldn't be happier! This album was around from the late 50's to my early recollection. My father used to sing many of the songs from this and other Eddy Arnold music as far back as I can remember. But, the one I really missed was "C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S". I appreciate it even more now as an adult than I did as a child. This particular song has the meaning of Christmas tied up in one 2.28 minute message: C is for the Christ child, H for herald angels, R means our Redeemer, I means Israel, S is for the stars, T is for Three Wisemen, M is for the manger where He lay, A is for all He stands for, S means shepherds came.
Even though I heard "Will Santa Come to Shanty Town" on the same LP, it never confused the issue for me. There was room for the plea of a poor child to ask if he would be remembered too on that wonderful day. I could identify with him. EA has another CD on which both of these songs can be found although it doesn't have just Christmas songs. It's called: "Eddy Arnold The Cattle Call". It has many of his older songs on it. Enjoy.
- I'm not a huge country music fan but I love Christmas songs recorded in the 40's, 50's and 60's. Songs on this CD recorded 1960 and 1961. I like some of the less popular selections: "Christmas Can't Be Far Away," "Up On The Housetop," & "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas." Mixing some of these songs with other Christmas CDs wouldn't be so bad...but the tempo on every song is quite slow. Almost a bit depressing after 5 songs. If you're wanting to add to your "vintage Christmas collection," then buy this CD. Otherwise, I'd recommend Johnny Mathis, Perry Como or Al Martino.
- From the start of the first song, it brings me back to my childhood Christmas. Must have Christmas CD!
- Yes, its the one your parents listened to! Brings back all those old Christmas memories.
- Eddy Arnold brings his warm and straightforward style to Christmas with this Christmas album. Eddy Arnold brings his warm smooth way with a song to the Christmas music. His voice was in its prime here. This is nothing fancy, which is what I like for Christmas music. He sings them simply and meaningfully. For me, this is the way Christmas music should be. It's a little old fashioned, but I love it. This is the CD I play the most at Christmas time. Eddy truly puts the meaning in Christmas with this good music and his warm way with a song.

- I'M LOOKING FOR THE VERSION OF GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN THAT WAS PLAYED ON THE RADIO IT WAS SAID TO BE ON HER STAR BRIGHT CD BUT THAT IS A DIFFERENT VERSION CAN ANYONE HELP ME FIND THE RIGHT VERSION
- On my list for Christmas is to own the Christmas CD Collection of Vanessa William. Her single "What Child is This" is her best! Her voice is in good true form. As well as her background jazz musicians. She is the best!
- I lost this CD in the process of moving and simply had to purchase it again. Christmas wouldn't be the same without the voice of this angel.
- Love it, Love it, Love it!
This is the second time I have purchased this CD, and it was worth every penny. Vanessa Williams has taken traditional Christmas songs and infused them with a blend of R&B, gospel and jazz. One of my favorite tracks is her version of Hark, the Herald Angels Sing . A gospel choir accompanies Williams and really jazzes it up a notch or two!
Starlight, Starbright is a silky lullaby, that showcases her smooth and pure voice. From start to finish, every track on this CD fills me with the true spirit of Christmas.
- Had this CD years ago and had to get it again. I love her flavor on the Christmas classics. Has me humming and bumping in the car.

5 comments about Home Alone Christmas.
- This Home Alone Christmas CD is the Ultimate Christmas CD. It has all types of music, and different types of Christmas songs. My mom bought it, because she saw it was a good buy. But now, every Christmas, this is one of the only CD's we play. Definately buy it!
- FROM: John, age 37 (12.21.66)
I grew up in the greater New York area - Western NJ was where my younger christmas memories start: Christmas country-style in the 1970's meant grandma cooking dinners on a woodburning stove adjacent to a modern day one, "fetchin'" wood, a driveway chiseled into the hillside, coal-burning furnace in the mostly dirt-floor basement complete with coal room for climbing through (Yeah I got yelled at plenty!), the excitement of seeing aunts, uncles and cousins, and simple Christmas gifts accented with a money card from Grandma who spoke of Santa like he lived down the road (Maybe that is why every year I STILL write a letter to him for all to read)! The Alan Jackson style of country music captures that feeling. The John Williams track is one that should give goosebumps to anyone that LOVE (Like I still do) Christmas or has had the season bless them with cherished memories. I listen, close my eyes and I can see photos that I haven't looked at in 25 years+ and they look it. Remember those BAD colors, some blurry because the cameras of the day, that weren't manual focus were just plain bad? Remember the smell of all the cookies mom made whilst you tried to helping her, usually by making a mess? Be sure and remember that she still loved you for it! Then consider that all that is all in this CD. I am a true fan of Christmas and New York City just like the person that posted his/her review on July 28th, so obviously I felt that their review was on target!

- The CD was good however some of the better songs from the movies were not on it. I think it could have been better.
- The stupid TLC song! I don't even know why that is on there....
Anyways I love the movie, it reminds me of Christmas. I guess it dates me since I am 25, so when this was popular i was just a kid. When I hear the music, it reminds me of the movie, but more importantly, it gives me that "Christmas feeling." That is really hard to feel sometimes, so a $10 CD is well worth it.

- I bought this CD after watching the music video of the same name. Their performance of "dream a dream" is exquisite. The fact that they wrote the lyrics just adds icing to an already magnificent cake!
- This is one of my fave Christmas cds and I listen to it every year. Charlotte Church was only about 14 and her voice is amazing.
- I ordered two CDs of Charlotte Church "Dream a Dream" for Christmas gifts and was really embarassed when both people I gave them to called me and stated they could not get them to play on either their CD players or their computers. I now have them in my possession and cannot get them to play on any of my equipment, so this was acomplete loss for me. I would very much like to return them in exchange for two that will play.
