1. Conceptual music at its best. If you ever have the opportunity to participate in a Holiday performance of this piece take it! It is an experience you will not forget, listening to this CD brings back some of the magic of that night, but the recording stands very well on its own as well. Highly recommended.



2. This album was aired in full in a special 2007 Christmas program of "Stars End", the landmark 30-year-old Philadelphia radio show of electronic/space/ambient music. Its gorgeous tapestries of sound inspired by bells, Gregorian chant, and early medieval polyphony were the highlight to me of the entire five hours. I fell in love with it immediately and bought a copy from Amazon. Many subsequent hearings have maintained my delight: it wears well. I plan on making a Christmas gift of it this year for friends. This is a highly imaginative and atmospheric contribution to the genre.

1. B.E. Taylor and his band have put a new sound to Christmas songs that will stay in your head forever. This collection of songs immediately became my favorite Christmas album and is played many, many times throughout the holiday season. The entire family will enjoy this celebration of the true meaning of Christmas.



2. I bought this cd the year it came out, and it has been my favorite over all Christmas album ever since. Lots of great new versions to holiday favorites.. By the way, B.E. has several other non-Christmas releases that are worth hunting down!! Great stuff!!
   Also, his CHRISTMAS 2 is worth grabbing just for his version of "Mary did you know"...

1. I stumbled across this album over 10 years ago (it's a re-issue of an album originally titled "This Christmas" from 1990) and it has become my FAVORITE holiday album ever since.



2. Patti puts all of her heart and soul into this Christmas collection of songs. This remastered version was produced very well. No Christmas should go without Patti's cd playing non-stop.

   This is the best Christmas CD that I have heard in a long time. Ty voice is so sweet. If you but one Christmas CD this should be the one that you buy.



2. While browsing [...] during the holiday season, I ran across Ty Herndon's Christmas CD. It was a great suprise to find this gem of a holiday recording. I had enjoyed Mr. Herndon's earlier works and was unaware that he was back releasing music once again. His voice was and continues now to be one of the best in country music. His tonal quality and ability to hit a range of notes makes his voice special in the world of country music. It's a shame he's not getting the air play he once did. His Christmas CD was played constantly throughout the holidays in my home and car and everyone who heard it was very complimentary. Here's hoping Mr. Herndon has a long and successful career.

1. A rough-hewn, soulful set of bluegrass yuletide, with tracks dating back to Rebel's early '60s origins. The Country Gentlemen, Larry Sparks, Dr. Ralph Stanley and others add their holiday cheer... High marks go to Paul Williams and his Victory Trio, who are (naturally) quite well suited to the genre. Highly recommended!

1. When I was growing up, my parents had an album titled 'The Bells of Christmas', which was gorgeous, and to me it always brought back many fond memories of Christmas. I had hoped that this was the same 'Bells of Christmas,' or at least similar. However, the songs/tunes are not even recognizable for the most part, and the chimes of the bells sound discordant, and rarely even pretty. This was a total waste of money, don't buy it unless all you want to hear is a bunch of bells clanging with no apparent tune, for the entire duration of the CD.



2. I had to counter the review written by another listener who said that this recording was just "clanging." I understand she was probably trying to find tunes played by a carillon, but this recording was just what I was looking for: ambient sound of bells ringing from churches. It is a sound that is very evocative if you have spent any time in Europe, and the reason to play this CD is to create a mood. This is like a soundscape which is toatally missing in our city and rural USA environments. Enjoy!

1. Yet another great compilation of Christmas songs old & new, thanks to Joe McCoy, WCBS-FM New York's Programming Director. I hope these albums continue to come out at this time every year-an annual tradition that shouldn't stop here. This album begins with Wham's big yuletide hit Last Christmas; and continues with such goodies as Frosty The Snowman as done by The Jackson Five, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing by America, Doo Wop Christmas by Kenny Vance & The Planotones(a favorite cut of mine), the golden chestnut Kissin' By The Mistletoe by Aretha(hard to believe she recorded it about 40 yrs. ago); among many others. Oh, before I forget-I can't leave out the inclusion of Morning Mayor-DJ Harry Harrison's traditional May You Always-Harry has been playing this on his program for many years now & by popular demand it was included on this album; it is appropriate that it is the 25th(and final)cut on this collection. A must-have if you collect these Ultimate Christmas Albums every year-and even if you don't, you are sure to enjoy this for many Christmases to come. Very highly recommended.



2. You'd think that WCBS could only go to the well so many times but
   they have scored again with this latest edition of what now has almost become a Christmas institution. What makes this collection
   unique is that most of the songs are not the big hits of the season (if you want that go volumes 1 to 4). Instead you get a collection that has a very consistent sound and mix so that you won't find yourself skipping tracks. Plus you get Wham's Last
   Christmas and Greg Lake's alternate version of I believe in father Christmas. What more could you ask for? Volume seven perhaps?
