- We have this on cassette tape and in my opinion it is better than his new Christmas album which we have on CD, the new one is ok but just not as good as Christmas To Christmas which I think is more down to Earth and has a great Country sound. Some of the songs on the new album are ok but some are over the top schmaltzy and have too much of a Pop sound instead of the simple understated down to earth Country appeal of the first album.
- This album, recorded at the height of Lee's popularity in the eighties, is exactly what his fans expected of him. It has some Christmas classics, some original songs and some less obvious but brilliant covers. This is mainly an album of love songs with Christmas themes, but that's appropriate because Christmas is meant to be a time for peace and goodwill.
The standards are Let it snow, I'll be home for Christmas, Christmas song and O holy night, all of which Lee performs well. Tennessee Christmas was written in the early eighties was also recorded by Alabama, Amy Grant and Steve Wariner. The greatest gift of all had been recorded a year earlier as a duet by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and is one of my favorite Christmas songs. As far as I know, the other four songs are all originals. Christmas to Christmas has since been covered by (among others) Toby Keith (who made it the title track of his Christmas album) and Tanya Tucker. I do not know of any covers of When the rain turns to snow, Lone star Christmas (my favorite track here) or Bring Christmas home, but they are all excellent songs that capture what a family Christmas should be all about. If you enjoy Lee's type of easy-listening pop-country music, you will love this album.
- Side One:
Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
Christmas to Christmas (Loving You)
When the Rain Turns to Snow
Tennessee Christmas
I'll Be Home for Christmas
Side Two:
Lone Star Christmas
The Greatest Gift of All
Bring Christmas Home
The Christmas Song
Oh Holy Night
- I had this in Casset years ago,now in CD. Beautiful CD,Beautiful voice. The song atract me was for the first time 'Let is Snow'.I loved it.
- I've been listening to Lee Greenwood's Christmas to Christmas for probably 20 years now, so much that I had to get a new one. Every November I get the CD out and listen to it over and over til New Year's.

- Once again, Antsy McClain has created another great CD with his release of "Merry Christmas from the Trailer Park". This is not your typical holiday music, but then again, Antsy McClain is far from the typical singer songwriter of today. McClain brings his unique perspective on life to each cut on this CD. From the rather wacky "Frank the Christmas Turkey" to the serious "Mary Lou's Christmas List", McClain takes the listener on everything from a fun filled romp to a somber "gee, I never looked at it that way" trip though the holiday season. Never far from his roots, with "She's Underneath the Mistletoe Again" McClain shows us that there is a little trailer park in all of us. This CD is not to be missed.
- Antsy McClain can write a song about anything. But he has out done himself this time. This is a wonderful christmas album, worthy of anyone's collection.
- I've bought several Christmas albums over the last few years, but none as wonderful as this one. I laughed, I cried, I was touched - and that's no joke. This album has everything from crazy songs like "She's Underneath the Mistletoe Again" to the most beautiful rendition of "I Heard the Bells" that I've ever had the privilege to listen to. Antsy McClain is known for his comic genius but he's also a brilliant vocalist with a voice so pure and perfect it brings tears to your eyes during some of these songs. "Auld Lang Syne Revisited" is the last track on the album and is definitely worth the wait - my new favorite. What a privilege to have found this album and this singer!!
- As the Christmas season goes by, I get more and more tired of the seventeen versions of Jingle Bells I own. Ansty and the Troubadors did themselves proud with this album. A few new things and few that make me laugh out loud, and a couple of traditional carols thrown in for good measure. I can't wait for their next album!

2 comments about Christmas in South Africa.
- Not as good as some of the earlier Gaither concerts - it is not a video that you can watch time and time again as it is pretty depressing.
It is more of an educational statement on AIDS and children in South Africa, than Christmas Music for the season.
- This was a joy to watch. The music and the scenes of the aid to the South African orphans was very touching. The program was put together very well .

5 comments about Shirim: Klezmer Nutcracker.
- This is one of the best gifts I received this Christmas. My mistake was listening to it for the first time driving down a CA freeway. The differences are so subtle but the effect is amazing. The titles go with the tunes in a special blend of hilarity. If you like either klezmer or the Nutcracker, GO OUT AND GET THIS CD. It's a wonderful introduction to life in two worlds.
- Not bad for something different in holiday listening. Thought it
might be more fun, but a couple selections were good, but the
rest not as entertaining as those. Another group had a good
album a year earlier, but I forgot who they were. Same title,
but preferable.
- I bought this to add to my collection of off-the-wall Christmas music, and was not disappointed. The bonus tracks are fun, but not all "Christmas" songs, so selective playing may be the rule for purists. The bonus tracks include several selections by Erik Satie.
Anyone who likes this CD will also enjoy "Oy To The World" by the Klezmonauts, which is all Christmas music.
Another CD that might be of interest if you like Erik Satie is "Sketches of Satie" by Steve and John Hackett (Steve Hackett played guitar with the band Genesis many moons ago). They do flute and guitar arrangements of some of Satie's stuff, and it comes off quite well.
- For those of us who play the Nutcracker Ballet 10-20 times (or more) each year, this rendition of the Suite is the perfect gift. My viola section here in Cincinnati, Ohio always exchanges gifts and this year I gave each one of them this CD.
The non-Nutcracker selections were also perfect for the classically trained musicians.
Hope Shirim considers doing the entire ballet some time!
- This was purchased as a Christmas gift for a family member. The whole family enjoyed listening to it - what great fun. It had us laughing throughout. Who knew classical music could be so humorous?!!

- We have had this album for years. My oldest son is 23 and we have absolutly worn grooves in the record listening to it every year. We would love to find it in cd or even cassette form. I don't think the record will last much longer. I couldn't think of a better Christmas present for him than to give him a cd of this album. If it ever comes back in print I want to know.
- This is a terrible CD. It does not even sound like the Oaks. Don't waste your time or money ordering this CD. Wish I could return it or just get rid of it.
- I saw these guys on TBN for a feed the hungry children Christmas special. These guys have good harmonies and the song selection here is good, and the guy with the long grey beard sounds like Hank Williams. For under $6.00 you can't go wrong. Don't take the music too seriously, it's just fun, and full of that vintage hillbilly swing sound.
- This reminded me of Christmas as a kid. It was awesome. Great songs.

- The Two Latin Grammy winners are meant to become the Latin Pop phenomenon, they are so versatile that they can swing from Latin pop to ballad, Salsa, Merengue, Folk music, blues, and many many more. They are practically unknown but after the magnificent release of their masterpiece for Christmas "Ven A Mi Casa Esta Navidad", the world will now know their capabilities and the perfectly synchronized voices. Charming and nostalgic, you can feel yourself when you hear "Ven a Mi Casa Esta Navidad", feel of joy with "Feliz Navidad", a imaginative rhythm with the "Tamborilero" and "Gloria" making us want to spend some time with our beloved ones. It is not a sacred style recording but an intimate sound very festive sometimes and very soft some others. This CD was classified for the Latin Grammy as Children music, so wrong, contemporary adults can get immerse into their beautiful sound. The group's vocal range and arrangements give a special sound to this CD. Surely, Voz Veis knows how to put together six voices without overlapping or overextending, making it so beautiful that you do not get tired of listening to it over and over again. Certainly it is an excellent gift for this holiday season. They refreshed with innovative arrangements old and traditional Christmas songs given them a different flair and added some new. A perfect companion to open presents at the Christmas tree. FELIZ NAVIDAD..!!!!
