1 comments about SpongeBob's Christmas Wish.
- Sandy: What in the name of the Alamo is wrong with you, Spongebob? Ain't you never seen a Christmas tree before?
Spongebob: Christmas who?
Sandy: What?! Y'all never heard of Christmas?
Spongebob: Is she a friend from Texas?
Sandy: (chuckles) No! I can't believe y'all haven't heard about...(eyes widen; in a high-pitched voice) Christmas!
Spongebob: Tell me more about this... (mimicking Sandy) Christmas!
~ Christmas Who?

1 comments about The Little Christmas Tree.
- This is an excellent book for children and adults. It is a great tool for catechesis with your family or in a larger group setting. The Little Christmas Tree takes a bare tree and adds various ornaments, each with its own story of origin. This book is extremely difficult to find. I only hope the publisher decides to re-issue it.

1 comments about Ed Emberley's Christmas Drawing Book.
- In his own classic style, Mr. Emberley shows how to draw many Christmas-time images step-by-step, combining simple geometric shapes with easy techniques until the desired picture is formed. Even those who attest to not being able to draw will be pleased with the results they reach by following the instructions in this kid-friendly book. Recommended for ages six and up.

3 comments about The Christmas Bird.
- Sallie Ketcham writes a delighful story of how the robin's red breast came to be. Setting the story during the birth of Jesus, the bird helps a cold baby by fanning the fire with his wings, and singeing himself in the process. As a thank you for keeping her baby warm, Mary gives the robin a wonderful gift.
Stacey Schuett's illustrations work beautifully with the story. The bright colors capture the essence of the book, delighting children and adults alike. A perfect book to enjoy with your children or give as a gift!
- This is a lovely book to read around the tree on Christmas Eve. It brings the story of the Nativity to children in a way that really draws them in.
- I received this as a gift from a friend. I'm way passed this kind of book ~ perhaps she thought it might delight me. It absolutely did NOT.
Perhaps the biggest faux pas in this book is the birds (except this one)fly from Palestine to PARADISE? Would that be Jerusalem? Then, it's a robin who's been well named for centuries ~ why now a fairy tale? This was a tale that didn't need to be told.
Secondly, my family is a family of birders, and I have to admit, this would strain the credulity of even learning "birders," it's so laughable.
The big thing I have against it is the Co-Redemptrix equality insinuated to a "mother" at the birth of her Special son. The friend who mailed this to me is an ex-nun, and I can see where it might seem charming to her, but to me, it's plainly hogwash!
I would never give this book to a child I love!
