1. My 26 month old granddaughter received this book a few days ago and she loves it.The verses are cleverly written and if your child/grandchild likes Elmo they will like this book.It is a smaller size board book which also makes it convenient to stick in a purse or diaper bag.



2. I didn't care for this book. My daughter has the 12 days of Christmas singing plush Elmo. The song he sings is much cuter.



3. This book is so cute - love Elmo! It's little, so you can take it with you anywhere. The lyrics are adorable and fun. My 8 month old son laughs at me singing it to him...then he grabs the book and tries to eat it. :)

5. This book has fun lyrics and bright colorful pictures. My 20 month old granddaughter enjoys it. The lyrics are easy to memorize and it's a song you can sing throughout your day, while in the car, or at bedtime. It's a sturdy book, just the right size for toddler hands, and I highly recommend it.

1. I got this for my 4 yr old daughter as an early Christmas book. She loves busytown and she loved the story. Upon first reading it I thought she would be a bit confused as Father cat tells a story of his past and his father is the main character, along with other ancestors of several busytown characters. But with a little explaining,(its hard decipher Great Grandfather cat in his youth from Huckle) she got it right away and appreciated the story. It's a pretty general Christmas book but it does have the quality of family in there, and sharing stories from the past which is always a nice tradition.

1. Wonderful, loving book that helps children see their actions through another's eyes! My students gasped with delight at the conclusion of the book. Many have been the victim of not being with the 'in crowd' at school. Through this book they have been given hope and love.



2. This book has become a tradition in our family since it was inspired by grandparents Martha and Quinton Hamp, whom the author included as characters in the story. Our children love Ms. Polacco's beautiful artwork, warm-hearted characters and magical ending. Teachers love receiving this book as an addition to their classroom libraries, especially at the holidays. Highly recommended!



3. This is one of the best Christmas stories I can read to my school children. It teaches them to be tolerant of others and keeps them guessing as to the outcome of the story. I highly recommend it.



4. Welcome Comfort is a Christmas story as warm and endearing as the title suggests. Welcome Comfort is a boy who has a hard time at school, and life in general. He has a weight problem, and he has always lived in foster homes.
   
   Then someone special comes into his life. Who is this someone special? Even Welcome doesn't know until he is an adult.
   
   This story is about a small boy who seems to have the deck stacked against him, but his life turns out to be an amazing adventure, regardless. It's about caring, sharing, loving and living. It's about a young boy who keeps trucking along even when things are tough. It's a great story.



5. Patricia Polacco is an excellent author! This book will bring back memories of Christmas past. I recommend any of her books!

1. Great book! McPhail does a wonderful job with the topic of being lost. A boy, a bear, friendship and finding the way home. I enjoyed it as much as my child.



2. This is a great book! And like so many of David McPhails books, it's worth buying the hardcover. Who's lost, the boy or the bear? A friendship develops while trying to find the way home. McPhail does a wonderful job covering the topic of being lost.



3. This is a GREAT book! My mother bought it for my 2 daughters after we all got lost in Boston. I have been reading this book to my oldest (age 3 1/2) daughter for over six months and neither she nor I have tired of it yet. The words flow well and the illustrations are beautiful! I just ordered 2 more books by the same author ("Sisters" and "Santa's Name book") for my two daughters. I anticipate that we all will enjoy them just as much!

1. This is a nice book and the story is simple but seems true to the classic story, however, I'm bugged by the fact that the main character is named Marie not Clara. I'm not a nutcracker expert but I know that much. Also Amazon's title say Step 2 but it is really a step 3 book.



2. Although many versions of the ballet call the girl Clara, she is called Marie Stahlbaum in the original E.T.A. Hoffmann story and in some versions of the ballet. This retelling is not incorrect; it just refers back to an earlier version of the story.

1. This is the second book we own by this author. As parents we really love the message and the kids enjoy the story over and over again! Great illustrations and a wonderful message that is not based just on being a "Christmas" book. Great story.

1. Angelina Ballerina, the "Nutcracker" ballet... and a bunch of stickers, too! How can you go wrong? This is a nice stickerbook, as stickerbooks go, with an actual story, and all the Angelina characters we know and love. Works well on every level, and (if you don't cover the text) can still be used as a storybook, once the stickers are all used up. (ReadThatAgain)
